The flight was significantly delayed. The inbound flight from EWR was delayed departing because of mechanical problems. My original departure from CLT was 5:28 pm but due to the delay of the inbound flight, after arrival, deplaning, cleaning, boarding, we did not push back from the gate until 9:00 pm. Once in the air, the flight was smooth and what was originally supposed to be an arrival in ORD at 7:30 pm local time turned out to be 9:35 pm.
My bags were misplaced!!! Im in a foreign country with no bags
Bad food, bad service, cold cabin with no additional blankets when asked for (they told me they don’t provide additional blankets). I’m a frequent traveler and this is one of the worst companies I traveled with (by the way I thought that I booked my ticket with Lufthansa but I didn’t see that the flights were handled by United).
Flight is clean and ontime. Crew is friendly. Snack can be better and the internet connection is poor

The boarding process was delayed and the miscommunication of what seats are broken
After the morning frenzy of 35 min wait through CLT security at 4;30 AM, it was nice to have a smooth pleasant boarding experience. This 6:30 AM flight was not full. We were able to get seated swiftly and took off promptly. Nice touch they distributed the old fashioned headsets with 8 mm jacks. Snacks were decent and arrival was uneventful.
Flight from CLT to DUS via MUC ticketed by United Airlines and operated by Lufthansa. 2nd leg of flight from MUC to DUS was cancelled and no notification provided. At check in , Lufthansa agents at airport were unable to locate record and wanted us to contact United Airlines directly.
Boarding went well, staff was friendly. Food was not goods at all. I had ordered vegan meal. The seat I picked didn’t have storage area in the front and so had to put my small back pack at the top.my flight to Bangalore from Munich, the tv was broken so I got complimentary wifi which never worked. Food there too wasn’t good. I had paid extra for the seats. The only good thing is that the fact we have a flight direct from Charlotte to Bangalore with one stop in Munich!
Delayed and WIFI was not working for most of flight.

We were delayed in CLT for 4 hours for mechanical issues resulting in us not leaving till 1:30AM and landing at 2:30 AM, so getting home at 4AM. The crew at the desk had no answers and provided very little information. I received a food voucher via email/app however there were no food places open. Even the walk up and scan your own places did not accept the QR code. I know mechanical issues occur but better communication would have made an unfortunate situation less frustrating.
There was no service on the flight even though there was no turbulence or any other issues on the flight. Nobody greeted at the entry or leaving the airplane, staff crew looked annoyed and not helpful at all.
You guys broke my bag so not good, and that was the cherry on top after a 4 hour delay, change of gates, etc.
I have to sit in the middle for more than five hours because the first flight was delayed. Terrible experience. No more American Airlines.
Absolutely infuriating. I was flying standby to get home earlier after flying 4 times with American in 6 days. I was #2 on the list with seats near the front and middle, in addition to the 4 first class upgrade seats that came back into the pool. I am a Platinum member, have their card, and they put me in the 2nd to last row in the middle. No loyalty whatsoever and they lost a fan for life. There is reason people have negative comments about American and I am done supporting them.

Il y a eu 2 heures de retard, ce qui n' a pas permis de prendre la correspondance prévue. L'absence d'information claire et précise a entraîné des tergiversations avec les autres compagnies et a failli entraîner un retard encore plus conséquent. Seul un renseignement de l'aéroport de Francfort a permis de trouver une solution. Au final, c'est avec plus de 4 heures de retard ( 9h50 heure arrivée initiale, 13h50 arrivée finale) que notre fils et son ami sont arrivés. Cette différence s'expliquant uniquement par la responsabilité de la compagnie aérienne. Une indemnisation est-elle envisagée. Cordialement Mme Giraudo
Horrible, they detoured my first flight to Roswell and the communication on why was very poor, We arrive late then waited 20 minutes for them to set up the bridge. I arrived at my connecting flight gate and was told my seat had been given to someone else even though the flight was delayed. We then get to customer service and the computer went down for several hours. The person at the counter was eating their lunch while trying to help me get a flight. Dhe then rebooked on a flight with a connection that was leaving two hours prior to me landing. So I had to then stand in another line to get rebooked. I missed my trip to Morroco and waited 7 days to finally get my luggage. It was a nightmare.
It’s got the tightest seats of any airline - my knees were smashed for 3 hours - absolutely awful.
The seats are so small that you can barely move at all. Don't try to eat with utensils in your seat either - you will elbow your neighbor in the face. Miserably small and I swear they are shrinking every time I fly. Food was meh (per usual), but at least there is free alcohol on an overseas flight. Doesn't make up for sitting in a torture chamber while hurtling through the air with hundreds of fussy people, but it's something. Entertainment options (movies, shows) are okay, nothing special, but at least there are screens, because most of the seats in these large planes do not have adjustable lighting - or air control - that you can get to, it's too high to reach - which makes reading impossible. Zero stars, AA.
Check in needed to be in person, not nice. Also I won’t do connections in Charlotte again because you need to go through security again and short connections become a problem
The staff on our flight from Charlotte to Boston were very friendly.
A friendlier and more helpful crew would have been much better.
Yeah you have time and can sit around for a while to be okay for you but if you planned on getting connected flights I recommend not to fly with this Airline it's best they for flying out of the country

Tampa to Charlotte - very upset that the orig flight from Tampa to Charlotte was delayed because they couldn’t refuel properly so we missed our connection. Not at all happy about how American handled it. Very inadequate amount for meals ($12 per person for a meal???) and the guy (Kelvin) acted as though he was doing us a favor providing extra vouchers for breakfast when, in reality, he simply duplicated the dinner ones so we would be on our way - very dishonest and poor customer service. (By the way, his gum chewing and body language was very rude) We arrived our final destination more than 24 hours later. Very bad business. Charlotte to Madrid - although the flight we finally got on was 24 hours later than scheduled, the actual flight was comfortable and pleasant. The movie choices could have been better. Madrid to Sevilla - The food was good but basically thrown at you with a don’t bother me attitude. The plane itself was quite dirty!
This trip was a total nightmare, got to the airport in Wed March 8th after confirming all flights, only to be told by American Airlines that we are not confirmed on the flight. We met a pretty rude and unhelpful AA check in agent by the name of Ali. American said it was not their problem, contact Kayak/Chatdeal and sort out your issue.Chatdeal said all flights were confirmed and it is the airlines fault. So it went, we were kicked between American, Kayak and Iberia spending hrs on the phone- all said it is not their fault.Spent 9 hrs in the airport on Wed 15th trying to sort out. Luckily, we met a really nice AA agent Shawnna G who went way beyond the call of.duty to help us out. We were put the next day on Thurs 16th from DfW to San Paulo Brazil the onto Madrid!! Imagine that..10000 miles and 20hrs of travelling to get to Madrid from Dallas!! Our trip took 3 days to get there ..Wed 8th Thurs 9th and Fri 10th.Got there on Sat 11th, so lost 2 days of our vacation and a lot of emotional and physical stress on our 2 kids travelling with us.
The crew could deploy more customer focus and not frown when asked a question. I’m speaking of one lady in particular who raised a hand in my face for me to wait whe I tried to ask a question and never came back to me. Very unprofessional and rude.

Economy Priority seats are extremely uncomfortable. There is no way to escape the boxed in feeling, particularely because the distance between to rows are too short, the hard edge of the front row is keeping legs confined. There is no elevated place to put your feet. I am of average, European size.
Trip was smooth, good drew, average meal, almost cold coffee. Excellent landing. Did not enjoy going down the stairs, walking to the gate, walking up the stairs, going a long walk to the exchange gate, and going down the stairs again to be bussed all the way where we originally landed to take our next flight! Over all an average experience. Thank you.
Solid old-school airline, comfortable, efficient and pleasant. It's the small things like nice blankets, good legroom and complementary mixed drinks, even in economy class. Can recommend!
Leg room is good, food is average, crew is not friendly
Check in crew in Charlotte NC was superb. There were 6 of them plus what looked like a supervisor, helping to answer questions and keep things moving. Never saw so many check in crew. Then some of them showed up at the gate later for boarding. Great. The flight was mediocre. The seats were small with little leg room. The screens kept coming on when we were trying to sleep and wouldn’t shut off. I know we paid far less than first class but does that mean we should be shoved in there??
Plane left 1 hour and 30 min late due to a faulty gate at the airport . they should have changed the gate immediately and minimize the delay. Due to this fact I lost my connection in Munich and ended up staying 12h in the airport . I got rebooked and for the troubles i got a 15 euro voucher witch is barely enough to buy a bottle of water in the airport . A bottle of water is 6 to 7 euros in the airport a sandwich is 12 to 20 euros . a sleep cabin is 17 to 20 an hour . their compensation is mediocre at least it has not changed the amount in the past 10 years , where the prices since then have . On top of this on my return they broke both of my check in bags another 500 USD damage
The worst check in in my life. If they require bus or train tickets they should let passengers know on their web site
I have never had any issues with Lufthansa. It is the best airline I’ve ever flown. The crew and service and amenities are always excellent. When I have had delays or cancellations, Lufthansa has always promptly reconciled the issue.
My luggage was lost at the airport but American Airlines contacted me and got it to me the next day.
All the above categories was great. Seats entirely too cramped.
I like American Airlines and their safety record. They provide quality service and a feel safe enough to prefer American Airlines over other carriers even if I have to pay a little more.
We paid for Business Class seats, but system did not have us and they were not available.
Worth every penny to upgrade to BC. Treated and felt more like First Class
I don't know about the others but the flight attendant that took care of us had the absolute wrong approach "how do we dare asking for water or anything else for that matter"
A good flight back to Tampa and thankfully although we had a 90 minute delay because of thunder storms from Charlotte to bottom iof Florida, it was a prudent to avoid these for a comfortable flight as opposed to being tossed around with turbulence.
Flight was good but seat in 12D was not comfortable, better on the Airbus 321 from Tampa to Charlotte. No breakfast was served before landing in zLonfon only a coffee and orange juice.
Economy extremely cramped. Dinner was not good. Breakfast was quite good. Crew was excellent.
they are improving. The crew from Charlotte to Tampa was outstanding. SMILING and trying to be helpful with the customers.
