He took time to chat with us and answer our questions, which made me feel more comfortable about the long flight. The stewards/stewardesses were very nice and had us laughing on their welcome messages. The lay-flat seats in first class were the best. Very comfortable, and easy to fall asleep in, without disruption from other passengers who insist on keeping their reading lights on while everyone is trying to sleep."

I ended up in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, another time in Columbia South Carolina and the last time in Charlotte North Carolina. Cons: "Just before announcements to board, the gate agent advised the plane was being checked out / aircraft maintenance. The creeping delay commenced: 20 minutes, then 15 minutes more, then 30 minutes more, etc... with very little communication about when what going on. Finally, we were advised of a gate change and new aircraft. We landed 93 minutes late. Problems happen but keep customers informed!"

If there was an issue with putting stuff in the overhead bins, they should have explained why we couldn't bring our belongings with us instead of yelling at people for trying to bring stuff on the plane that had plenty of space. I saw 4 or 5 bins that were completely empty and that was in the back of the plane I don't know what it looked like closer to the cockpit. Either way, the gate crew was very rude to everyone and it was very unpleasant to experience. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback."

I had to spend the night in a crappy room at the Ramada while others on my same flight got luxury hotels. I got a crappy $20 voucher for food that only got me crappy over priced snacks. It wasn't enough for dinner and breakfast. Since my flight was delayed I missed and lost money to the circus. 1 had purchased tickets for my 5 children my husband and I for a total of $400. The show was at 11 am and I arrived at Richmond at that time. Your airline sucks. To make it worst on my way to Aguascalientes I got stuck in Houston for the night and half a day because yall delayed flights due to snow that never happened. I had to before for food vouchers because I had already gone over my budget with the delay. Overall it was a horrible experience."

The baggage services in Newark didn't pack my bag on my flight, the next one afterwards nor the one after that. When trying to contact to see what's the issue nobody answered the phone, for a hour. The bag claim services from when I landed in Richmond didn't have a clue on how to contact Newark or to confirm my bags will be on the flight for that day. I had to do the research and find it myself while she watched a movie on her iPad. Needless to say if I could give a negative star rating I would. I missed the banquet and received my bags the next day and still couldn't get a reason from either airport on why they got left behind."
Pros: "Grand Junction is a small airport so getting through TSA was a breeze, even though I have two knee replacements and zippers on my pant pockets. The United staff, at checkin counter and on plane could not have been nicer. Thanks for the snacks and sparkling water. In flight entertainment on phone, great! Please offer a Credit card without the $95.00 annual fee. I could become a regular."

Air turns on, but still we wait. And wait and wait, all the while Spirit sends me a total of FOURTEEN delayed takeoff and arrival emails. As if I couldn't already get the gist sitting on the plane waiting waiting waiting. Finally, we get rolling, but never is there any acknowledgment that we've been waiting or that they're sorry for the continued delays or something nice yadayadayada. Last Spirit flight I'll take."

Cons: "For me the seats were too small. I am 6ft3in 200 slim pounds. If i could of gotten an isle seat or emberency door and picked my seat ahead of time even paid more for it would of helped. Getting to check in early does not get you a spicific seat. A child can be put in an isle seat whereas an adult can be put at the window seat slighty more cramped."

Cons: "I booked one ticket from Denver to Baltimore, but found out I would be charged twice ($80 in total) for checking one bag. While i did have a layover in Chicago and this indeed was only one trip, Spirit denied this and said that since I had a layover, they were two separate tickets. This is unacceptable. My ticket said Chicago was a layover. It is absurd to be charged twice for baggage on one single trip. Last time I fly Spirit!!!"
Pros: "I read so many reviews that- in other words- said the Spirit experience was awful that i went to the airport prepared for the worst. Turns out I was wrong. Friendly staff, quick line to drop off baggage, quick boarding process and the clerk at the gate changed our seats so we could be together and gave us the 3rd row. Nothinng bad to say about this airline."

Cons: "The seats were small and not comfortable. I understand selling food but would have appreciated a free choice of water, coffee, tea or juice. I won't be flying with Spirit airlines again. Their low prices are offset by excessive tricks to earn more through baggage charges, seat selection, etc. I was pleased however not to be charged for looking out the window."

I didn't like the check in policy or the fact that they don't support TSA precheck because they hope to sell you on an additional fee that will get you through a prority lane. I didn't like the seats which are hard plastic, close together, and don't recline. I didn't like the mini tray table that wouldn't support my laptop so I couldn't work. I didn't like that Spirit falsely advertises with the tag line "LESS MONEY, MORE GO" when the base fare for my connecting flight on this sub-par airline was more expensive than a direct flight on a better airline-before the other fees were added."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 3 hours due to leaky breaks and they didn't have the air on so we all sweat to death until someone decided to flip the ac switch 2 hours in. The tickets are so cheap cause you have to pay for eeeeeeeeeeeverything! You have to pay for a carry-on, a drink, to have the service desk check you in, etc. I'm surprised they don't have a coin-lock on the bathrooms or individual oxygen masks that they charge you for."

Cons: "Staff was rude, borderlining on hostile. I was treated like I was an inconviencne to the staff for purchasing a ticket. Seats were shot and not comfortable and gave everyone a very hard flight. Try training your staff."
Cons: "From website to check in the worst I've seen in the business in decades. The flight was fine. The marketing tone of light-hearted humor overlaid on bad everything leaves bad taste in my mouth."

Cons: "We had an hour and a half delay! They made us sit in the airplane due to some paper work and could not fuel the plane until everything was done. The excuse they used was that the paper work was "new" and that is why there was delays. The inside of the plane began to get hot and a passenger was so red to her face she was about to pass out. In addition there was no running water in the restrooms."
Pros: "This is the first spirit airlines flight in years that was not only on time but early. Everyone was kind and professional. This was a real change from our previous spirit experiences."

Cons: "You have to pay for everything. You have to pay for your seat. You have to pay for snacks and drinks. They did overbook the return flight. You do have to pay for luggage, whether checked or carry-on. You don't have to pay for personal items.The seats are really cramped together."

Cons: "From the lack of representatives and overall procedure to board the plane, I could not be more disappointed and annoyed. The flight attendants talk too much on the over head speaker, the seats too tight (even for me at 5'3-120lbs), the fees are outrageous. It's worth to buy at a more reputable airline. I arrive 13 minutes before my flight takes off and the door closes 15 minutes, so be prepared. Especially since it's the representatives and broken kiosk that make you run late. Now, since there is one Spirit plane I have to wait an additional 24 hours to head back to Chicago. I've now been here 48 hours past my stay. Save yourself the headache. Don't do it. I don't foresee this company staying in business very long. It's my own fault. I didn't listen to my friends. You get what you pay for."

Cons: "For an active military member of the US forces, I had to pay for a checked baggage fee. I don't pay for a fee on other carriers. I should have flown on United, since the price was the same or less due to zero fees for baggage. And the aircraft seeting overall was not comfortable and up to date. Seemed rather old and worn."

You have to pay for your own snacks through Spirit unless you bring your own, so anyone that's going to fly Spirit think twice about it."
Pros: "Expectations were low, which is why the exceeded them. It's still spirit, so there is still no food served and it costs extra to bring a carry on, etc. But it got me from Denver to Dallas and that's all I needed."

Cons: "Double charged me for baggage and there is no way to talk to a live human on the phone. Website has no 'contact us'. Charging for everything is just wrong. Seats are uncomfortable, seats too close to each other. Will never fly spirit again. Got the same reaction from those around me. Flight from Phoenix to Denver was delayed 40 minutes because someone checked their bag but did not get on the plane."

Cons: "Staff mumbled when announsing flight cacelation, so every one stood in line to ask what the announce ment was.2hrs to reissue tickets. Attempting to move 100 person to hotel on 10 passenger shuttle buses with 30 min between shuttle. Unclear food voucher so that merchant did not accept , dinner was very in filling."

Pros: "The flight attendants were all nice and very funny, making light of the terrible circumstances and the making up for the terrible service from the Airline in general."
Cons: "The airline employee standing at the gate desk told passengers that we had to "herd onto the flight quickly", or else our flight would not take off. The flight crew was overworked and on overtime and was threatening to strike. Clearly, Spirit Airlines is not taking proper care of their employees and this made for a terrible journey for all of the passengers as well. This was my absolute worst experience on a flight in my entire life."
