Lost luggage. Flight delayed.
All went fine and the crew friendly. 12 hours from Switzerland to Sao Paulo is extremely long time to sit in an airplane, but temperature and air were fine and the flight was without delay.
The flight was delayed by 85 minutes from Newark to Zurich

Delayed 2 hours and forced to deboard when I can drive in 3 hours.

We were delayed coming out bc the plane needed de-icing... IN JACKSONVILLE, but they were unable to get manager approval for de-icing and then the truck was out of fuel. Finally, the pilot moved the plane into the sun (which should have happened much sooner). During the flight, the cabin temperature dropped to low 60s and everyone was freezing.
On time departure
No complementary food. Old plane, no great entertainment options (should also have subtitles for hard of hearing). Terminal boarding area was too cold.
The cabin crew were very kind and helpful, always smiling and happy to be of service.
It wasn't Air New Zealand, but operated by United Airlines. The plane was uncomfortable, and the entertainment system seemed clunky, unintuitive and outdated. The selection of entertainment, poor in quality, I thought. There were lost of things to watch, but a lot of it was of poor quality. The food was acceptable, but again, it felt like it was done on-the-cheap, and I was eating airline food a la 20 years ago.

Rude staff at the airport. Short overlay did not have enough time to get our bags and checkin again that was ridiculous to have to check in again!
Flight wasn’t full so it was great to be able to stretch out!
One older cabin female attendant was quite arrogant - otherwise all good!
Unfortunately, I couldn't travel as I was told to bring the credit card used in the booking of my flight. This was not explained in the booking option. Thus I would need a refund on my flight ticket.
Just a fantastic crew, great airplane the Air Bus much more comfortable than the 777 ..
Screens (for in-flight entertainment) kept freezing, not as much legroom as previous flights (BKK-DXB, DXB-SIN, NBO-DXB) on Emirates
A very small hidden FLYDUBAI reference for a one-route flight with Emirates logo was unprofessional and deceptive.

Boarding in Dubai was not according to zones and it was crowded
- the baggage drop off counter guy was rude, so was his supervisor, they forced us to check our carry-on luggage and made it as they're doing us a favor for not checking our backpacks - there was a problem with the flight and got delayed 90 min, we missed our connecting flight and had to stay in DOH airport overnight - the food was really bad compared to other flights by QA, my wife got food poisoning from their food
The flight went well, from boarding to landing.
We were informed at origination that we would be put up in a hotel in Doha. Online and also at check in desk. When we arrived in Doha we were directed to a desk for hotel booking. After waiting inline 45 minutes we were told we don't get a hotel with reduced economy fare.

I have traveled extensively but I have never seen a staff more rude than Emirates. I had a connecting flight at Dubai Airport and there was 8 hours waiting time. At the gate I was connecting for Islamabad, there was not a single seating arrangement. When I complained about it to emirates desk, the staff was extremely rude. Such arrogance and an attitude that you instantly abhor. In my opinion, these Emirates people are most racist people in the world. The way they treat passengers from developing countries is vile. Even onboard, they treat 'white' passengers much differently than they would for a brown skin. I would never fly Emirates again. I plan to write against them in some leading newspaper for being racist. If people like us stay quiet and injustice and humiliating attitude they have against us, we will continue to suffer. I can pay a higher price for any other airline but I decline to ever fly with Emirates at the expense of my dignity.

Javier the flight attendant was so welcoming and attentive. Flight got l fit late, but arrived on time. Service was efficient and respectful. Was not as crowded as prior flight and was able to eat the meal
Time of flight really sucked. 4:00 AM departure meant arriving at 1.00 AM. Tough way to start a day
