Staff felt embarrassed for what they were being asked to do

A United supervisor at the Leon terminal informed me that my 'smart' luggage was not allowed. I have traveled with it all over the world for the past 2 years, including to Leon in a United flight 2 days prior. I have also disabled the battery with a clearly marked OFF switch inside and never actually use it. However the memo I was shown was unambiguous and logic was not an option. So I asked for a screwdriver to remove the battery, The supervisor said no and proceed to treat me as a criminal. After one of the staff lent me tools and I removed the battery the supervisor asked for my name but off we went to board our flight. Before boarding however, my wife and I were called in for a 'random' security inspection. The experience was very unpleasant. It was discrimination and retaliation by someone abusing their authority. Very dissapointed on the United staff and their customer service.

The AC worked on the second plane they loaded us onto at last.

The fact that we had to 'de-plane' and then they still didn't leave! First, the AC didn't work so we had to sit in a hot plane for an hour. Finally, they decided we couldn't use that plane so everyone had to switch planes. Next, one of the passengers was sick so we had to wait for a medic to come and examine the person, only to have him/her removed so that we could finally take off. Not what we expected from Alaska!

The staff is always super friendly, and with an hour and a half on the plane before we left one stewardess gave me free pringles (that I was going to pay for) because our 2 year old was “hangry”. I appreciate the gesture to make our day a little easier.

I didn’t not enjoy sitting on the plane at the gate for an hour and a half. I wish we could or deplaned (or had the option to), with a 2 year old we needed to entertain him that much longer.

First time (and hopefully last) flying Alaskan. Boarding was ok, not the most efficient but it worked. Once aboard a predicted snow storm started (in Seattle so not the first time this has happened) and we had to de-ice. This process was exceptionally long, in fact so long that we had to add fuel for the trip. These two delays conveniently “timed out” the pilots, brilliant! Total delay was over 4 hours, all to be blamed on their ineptitude. Seems like the norm for airlines these days but this was blatant mismanagement.

The flight was delayed 4 hours. The person in the counter would not tell us what's going on. They would say in 10 minutes the flight is leaving. That way we were 4 hours waiting. Nonetheless, we were waiting in the gate and the personal change the flight information for another flight and no body told us why. When we went to see in the big screens with all the flights. which was the new gate for the flight it kept saying the same gate. When I went to ask what's going on the person in the counter was very rude.

We left two hours after scheduled departure bc 1) the plane was late from prior flight and had to be cleaned, 2) engine check delayed the flight, 3) strong winds forced the airport (JFK) to use only one runway for departures and so on top of our plane delays we were delayed an extra half hour bc of airplane traffic. No entertainment onboard, meaning no screen on back of seat in front for movies, tv shows, etc. Food options were poor, especially breakfast (too much sugar content in all contents of “continental breakfast” pack.

We boarded on time and we departed on time. We got into Chicago 30 minutes early. We recently acquired a AA credit card and we got 2 checked bags free and priority boarding (Group 5). In today's world your need priority boarding of some sort on AA or you risk not being able to store you bags in the overhead and may have to get it checked free to your final destination. Also, one of our checked bags had a painting in it that we purchased and the bag and painting arrived unharmed. Good job by AA baggage handlers.

Cramped seating. Airlines seem to be moving seats closer together to be able to hold more passengers.

Once we hit the coast we skirted down the coas of Florida which provided a spectacular view. The approach and landing at Key West airport was thrilling and absolutely perfect. We’ve flown Delta many times but this was our first but not last time to Key West.

They pack you in like sardines and we as customers are supposed to like this. The seating sucks, the leg room sucks. My Hawaiian flight was great, great customer service, seating and leg room was great. If I could have and should have flown Hawaiian instead of Alaska. I like Alaska Airlines but truely the plane I was on was old, crowded and hated the flight. Alaska could step up to the plate and provide a better experience. If I gauged my experience on Alaska through today's flight I would never fly them again. Really Alaska I know you can do better.

This flight was also delayed almost an hour. Which is the only reason I managed to make this flight. The attendant told us that they had to run tests on the plane. This was after they changed our terminal last minute. We waited around for almost an hour before they let us board and then once on the plane we had to wait another 10-15minutes because they had to fix something else. I am extremely disappointed in my whole trip with American Airlines. I had similar problems on my way to St. Louis for my first trip last week.

The A319 outfitted in this way is to freaking tight!!! There is not even close to enough leg room for an average sized American male. I'm no taller than six foot and not overweight. You must fix this issue. I will look for other carriers whenever possible.

I upgraded my seat and paid extra for one with more room. And I wasn’t impressed with my upgrade, doesn’t feel like more leg than regular seats. Comfort was below average.

We boarded on time and we departed on time. We got into Chicago 30 minutes early. We recently acquired a AA credit card and we got 2 checked bags free and priority boarding (Group 5). In today's world your need priority boarding of some sort on AA or you risk not being able to store you bags in the overhead and may have to get it checked free to your final destination. Also, one of our checked bags had a painting in it that we purchased and the bag and painting arrived unharmed. Good job by AA baggage handlers.

We especially liked the in flight movies which you could rent on a tablet like device similar in size to an iPad. Also, we appreciate airlines that still board the plane by row starting in the rear. That is the most sensible way to board a plane. Also, I had plenty of legroom while seated.

seats are very uncomfortable I know they can make a plane with a wide enough aisle so that you don't get hit in the arm every time the cart or anyone goes past you. why can I ride a twin otter and not need a seat belt extender and need one on American? On the return on the Airbus, the seats were a little more comfortable, but still need seatbelt extender.

We boarded on time and we departed on time. We got into Chicago 30 minutes early. We recently acquired a AA credit card and we got 2 checked bags free and priority boarding (Group 5). In today's world your need priority boarding of some sort on AA or you risk not being able to store you bags in the overhead and may have to get it checked free to your final destination. Also, one of our checked bags had a painting in it that we purchased and the bag and painting arrived unharmed. Good job by AA baggage handlers.

Cramped seating. Airlines seem to be moving seats closer together to be able to hold more passengers.

Leg room! Seems American has less space between seats and seemingly narrower seats than other airlines.

Flight attendant from IND to Minneapolis must have had a rough evening or bad morning. Service in airplane is usually poor but this one was worse. Bumping most of the passenger when passing, handing drinks behind his back, not smiling.

The crew was outstanding, polite, and professional.

Seats were comfortable, but much too crowded. The seating would have been very good for children but for adults it was much too crowded. My knees were up against the seat in front and my back is sore from having to spend most of the trip twisted to try to fit into the small space. Also, my seat was is row 16 and was called a “premium” seat and I was charged an extra $24 for it. I did not find it any different than all the seats around me. What was the extra charge for?

The flight attendant was one of the best that we have ever had on this flight. Since we were a late afternoon flight out of O'Hare we did had a departure delay. But the flight attendant served us drinks and snacks while on the ground. And after we took off he came around again and offered us more drinks and snacks. As we departed the plane he even offered us snacks to take with us.

The A319 outfitted in this way is to freaking tight!!! There is not even close to enough leg room for an average sized American male. I'm no taller than six foot and not overweight. You must fix this issue. I will look for other carriers whenever possible.

Two hour delay

The flight was delayed 4 hours. The person in the counter would not tell us what's going on. They would say in 10 minutes the flight is leaving. That way we were 4 hours waiting. Nonetheless, we were waiting in the gate and the personal change the flight information for another flight and no body told us why. When we went to see in the big screens with all the flights. which was the new gate for the flight it kept saying the same gate. When I went to ask what's going on the person in the counter was very rude.
