Flew First Class from Chicago to Fort Lauderdale. The food was a banana and the seat in front of me was broken and when it went back, it was in my lap. No one seemed to care..
Flexibility in changing reservation at the last minute. Excellent service on board, good food.
Made up time for delayed departure
So cramped. Sat next to very obese person....spilled onto my seat
Taxied for 45 minutes, got on runway then determined we were low on fuel. Back to gate, refuel, two hour delay

Plane was delayed for 4 hours, should have given us miles or a voucher
The flight from EWR to Oslo was delayed by over 2 hours which meant I would miss my next connection... and I understand that happens sometimes. But, it was after hours on the airline number phone number and the fly.com customer service could not help with finding an alternate connection from Oslo to FRA. It was frustrating to then have to wait at Oslo airport for another 4 hours before the new connecting flight.
SAS has introduced hand luggage measurement and weighing at checkin, for a maximum of 17.5 lbs or 8 kg. SAS does not care if you have flown on another transatlantic carrier, which allows more than 8 kg. Then you need to start emptying your hand luggage at checkin. The whole checkin process was a big mess, the contract employees eg. at Heathrow do not help much (they probably do not do this to any other airline). SAS staff does not remind you to take your IDs and passport, medications etc. from your hand luggage, which is then checkedin luggage as opposed to hand luggage. It is obvious that transatlantic passengers have more hand luggage than many local passengers.

for the second time on this flight, the onboard devise for credit cards would not accept mine. this is the same card i used to book the flight. i complained to british air last time but they obviously haven't fixed the problem. there seems to be a problem using american credit cards these flights. is is a problem because nothing is free. luck;y a flight attendant did feel bad about it and gave me a glass of water

Delayed 6 hours on the plane
delayed boarding then waited three hours after we boarded for deicing. The piolet and crew did not update us. Made the flight very long.

Almost missed connecting flight had to run hard to make it. Airline did nothing to assure us that we will make it to next flight. Was very stressful, can do better.

Having had bad experiences with Aer Lingus before, I was hesitant to book with Aer Lingus again. But sadly, I was booking this flight last minute and had no other option. The route was Dublin to Calgary, via Toronto. I left myself plenty of time im Toronto to clear customs as I know it can take a while. The day of, the flight ended up being 1.5 hours longer than usual due to headwinds, leaving me with only 2.5 hours in Toronto. I ended up waiting 2 hours and 15 minutes for my bag and missing my connecting flight (my sister who was also on the same flight received hers in 30 mins and made the flight). Westjet was wonderful and put me on a later flight but Aer Lingus didn't have any assistance for me.
Aer Lingus lost my sister's luggage going to Ireland and never contacted my sister once the luggage was found. She only received it the day we flew back to Calgary. Poor customer service when inquiring about the bag, no compensation for necessities purchased.
Food was good. Entertainment selection was also good.
BUT. Entertainment got suspended a few times it was very annoying. Flight attendants passed right by us and almost forgot us
