I sent a letter to Allianz (the company that handles the travel insurance) and blasted them for their insensitivity in a difficult time. Going forward, I will not be purchasing travel insurance in the future. It may sound irrational but if you think about it, travel insurance is the tax on gullible people. You hear travel insurance and one assumes that if you spend the extra money on the insurance and something comes up, you can at least get much of your money back. Don't count on it! It's a 1/1000 chance they will do the right thing so the odds are not in people's favor. If you want to be smart, use the money you would have spent on travel insurance on some pre flight cocktails at the airport bar. Air travel is hellish enough without scams like Allianz!"

At that time, there was NO ONE at the Frontier check in to explain what was going on. On my way home, again the flight was delayed by an hour because of something on a previous leg. Because of this, I am going to go with any other airline first. I think Frontier should either co-op with other airlines to get people to their destinations on time or have more planes.......or AT LEAST have someone at the gate to offer next day service or a voucher or a free snack or something. I also do not like the whole A LA CARTE theme with this airline and Spirit Air. I do not like that I was going to be charged for a coffee or a coke. The whole thing is too confusing, and I am going to pay more for an American, United or Southwest flight next time."

There was no information about the flight provided at any time during the flight except for when we were preparing to land. Compared to American Airlines (which we flew with on our way to Denver), Frontier has no comparison. There was absolutely no entertainment provided, and there were additional costs and fees at every turn. Not only do they charge for any and all refreshments, they also charge you to have a carry-on bag. The flight was also very very loud. The cabin rattled and roared for the entire hour and a half flight. We will not be flying Frontier again unless some major upgrades are made."

And your tickets are not really cheap with all your hidden fees! It's ok, you fooled me once. But I be damn if I ever fly your airline again after my return trip! This was totally unacceptable and I will let all my military friends and family know not to ever fly Spirit Airline unless you're looking for the worse flying experience of your life!"

Cons: "The flight was delayed over 2 hours. I have never been on a delayed flight until this one. I called Spirit after the first e-mail stating that there was going to be a delay. I asked the lady if she could help me with options for an earlier flight (which there were some available) she kept talking over me and telling me that the flight could still be on time. While I was on the phone I told her that I was literally receiving emails as we were talking that it was delayed even longer. She would not listen and proceeded to talk over me and tell me that it was 'probably' still going to be on time when it was clearly not. I showed up at my original time to the airport and like I knew, it was delayed and I arrived to my destination over 2 hours later than I was supposed to. Was really a bummer."

We ended up leaving with a 2 hour delay! The problems didn't stop here tho. Once we landed in Las Vegas the pilot said the passengers can't leave the plane for 30 more minutes because the crue hasn't set up the device to properly get off the plane. The 30 minutes turned into 45..... Yes, you guessed it, we stayed in the plane even longer than that. After 1 hour We were finally able to leave the plane. So basically what initially was supposed to be a 4 hour flight, Detroit-Las Vegas, turned out to be 7:30 long hours. It safe to say that this is not a way the passengers should be treated by Spirit airlines and if they continue to do so I don't see bright future for this company. People have many other options to use different airline companies!!"

When we landed, there was one baggage carousel being used in the entire airport and it had four simultaneous flights' baggage coming on the same turnstile. We landed before 9 pm and finally got the bag I paid $50 to check at 10:10 pm. Staff was rude, made no apologies and basically had a "just deal with it" attitude."

LOL I got better than I expected for the value. This was my first trip with Spirit. I'm sold. As long as I was able to walk off the plane, I'm good. With the money I saved on my ticket I bought me some new outfits on my vacation. I stuffed them in my personal bag and did not have to pay extra. I got a lot in that bag, too; 4 dresses, a top, a skirt and some shoes. I'm good. LOL"
