Pros: Planes are newish and comfortable. Decent amount of room in economy. Very good entertainment system with a not of great Nordic content (Swedish, Danish and Norwegian movies) Food was pretty good for an airplane. The service is excellent. I slept through the meal service, but they still made it a point to get me a meal when I woke up. Old fashioned tea and coffee service, with a steward going up and down the aisles with proper tea and coffee pots. Very professional, a high end feel to everything.

Cons: Got asked to leave my seat in row 3 for one further back because I couldnt pull up my ticket mid flight to show it was my seat. Their system had me in another row so I missed out on the extra service offered to that row.

Cons: My flight was cancelled and no one notified me! Instead, FlyUs.com placed me on a different SAS flight that had a 15 minute layover in Copenhagen. Needless to say, I would have missed the flight from Copenhagen. I realized the issue the day-of, spent hours on the phone trying to book a different flight through the customer services at FlyUs.com (stupid company!), and was finally rebooked by SAS on a different airline. When I called SAS directly, they immediately took care of the situation and handled it well, but I wasted an entire day dealing with FlyUs.com, waiting on confirmation for a flight that I was never going to receive. The whole experience was awful.

Cons: All airplanes are 2 Noisy. (Of course this is not the fault of SAS). I use noise canceling headphones that helps a lot. EBut the background noise level always strikes me as too much!

Pros: We traveled with our 11 month old and the crew was super helpful. It was an 8.5hr flight, we got a middle seat to give him space to play and the staff had a lot of fun engaging with him. They even gave him a couple of toys to play with. Food was just ok, but better than most airline meals I've had. We flew Premium Economy which was a comfortable experience as well.
Cons: Checking in took too long, but that's more due to the new US-bound flight restrictions and process that's supporting that.

Pros: I'm surprised this is called a budget airline (or am I mistaken?!). Anyway, everything was great. The entertainment options were limited compared to Turkish, Emirates, Lufthansa or Qatar, but enough for a 7 hour flight and then some. Also, I liked that there was a bottle of water on each seat for people to hydrate. Very important, and I haven't seen any other airline do it.
Cons: Nothing stands out really. I'm likely going to fly them again.

Cons: Normally, I am not picky regarding airline food. In SAS's economy or "Go" class, there is no choice of food. I can think of plenty of dishes that would be appealing to many people. Yet the meal that was served, beef stew, posed a problem as I don't eat red meet. Since many people also do not eat beef due to religious beliefs, I am appalled by SAS's decision to only serve this dish to its economy class passengers. As I ordered my ticket through Kayak, I didn't have the option to request a special diet, nor did I think to do so as airlines generally do not serve serve a beef dish as their one and only.

Pros: This was a direct Copenhagen to Boston flight run by SAS for Privatair. It was a small aircraft with only 70 total seats. That being said, the seats were comfortable, the service was wonderful, and the flight was smooth.
Cons: Inflight entertainment consisted of an iPad with very limited options. Only one non-alcoholic drink included with dinner, and purchase price of wine was the highest I have ever seen on a flight.

Pros: Boarding was easy, I'm a Star Alliance Gold member so was able to get on board first. There were significant delays leaving Dulles and our connection was tight, but SAS held the flight so I give them props for that.

Cons: Although it was entirely SAS's fault that I missed my connection in CPH, they refused to reroute me on another carrier. They routed me on another SAS flight to ORD, and from there back to BOS. Hence my arrival was delayed from 3.20 PM to 12.130 AM after midnight.

Pros: The thoughtfulness and competency of the personnel. I needed wheelchair assistance and found that every was very attentive to my needs and very competent, especially the ones assigned to get me from place to place. Even in Rome, where we had to deplane on the tarmac, I had a young woman and a young man to assist me and they helped me in every way possible.
Cons: I needed a gluten free meal and found it rather dry and unappetizing.

Cons: 90 min waiting in the plane withou ac in IAD 4 hs delay in Copenhagen airport. I missed flight back from Athens because a ferry delay from Santorini despite calling SAS being updated of my delay. When I arrived to Athens airport, SAS staff left and KAYAK was not supportive. My tickets were cancelled from Athens to IAD.

Cons: I wasn't able to take this flight due to my first leg being cancelled. However, I did end up being placed on the SAS flight to Stockholm from Chicago, which was an overall nice flight. The only thing I didn't like was the timing of the flight. Because my starting point was from somewhere other than Chicago, this made for a very long and tiring trip. I wouldn't recommend this flight for people flying from places other than Chicago.

Can't wear headphone on takeoff and landing whereas other airlines allow, They charge for alcohol so the drink service takes twice as long while they collect money/credit cards. Constant, constant, constant announcements. Impossible to watch a movie without some interruption. No, I don't care who is chief flight attendant in business class. Towards the end of the flight, they subject you to a charity video. You have to listen/watch. The inflight entertainment is interrupted (again) for this.

Cons: I went to the restroom in the back, and one of the flight attendants was sitting in her jump seat, with head phone on and appeared to be sleeping or resting with eyes closed. Her sprawling legs were blocking the aisle, therefore I could not get to the restroom on the other aisle that was the only one open at that time This is unacceptable. Also PA is way too loud.

Cons: Even though all correspondence told me I could check in 24 hours ahead and choose a seat, after repeatedly trying, I gave up. I even called and was told I could do it, but I couldn’t. Because of that, I got a crappy seat. Another man and I stood outside of a bathroom for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come out, and we finally discovered that a flight attendant had locked it from the outside because of turbulence and forgot to open it. My checked bag was tagged with the priority sticker. I had a tight connection to catch a bus once I got to Boston. My bag came out of the carousel exactly 15 minutes after the first bag came out. That’s priority???

Cons: Before we boarded this plane we arrived at Aer Lingus for a 2 hour layover. The airport only had a snack bar open and an express bar with only drinks. There was cafes upstairs but that was closed off to hundreds of people with a layover between flights. When asked they said it was closed off by escalater and elevator to all of us. They blocked the escalator with a giant gate sign. People waited in line at a snack for over 20 mins for a bite to eat that was express food or a choice of 5 sandwiches that came hot that actually sucked not worth the money at all. People were pissed! I was looking forward to a nice meal for my layover but that definitely did not happen! They only came around once with drinks on a 6 hour flight, then twice for coffe and tea. When I asked for a sprite they said they ran out of things completely

Cons: It's a little discouraging to see the flight attendants asleep in the back of the plane. The flight was 7 hours in the daylight. I know that crews can't be flown for more than 8 hours in a day, so it shouldn't be too much to ask the attendants to stay awake during a 7 hour flight.

Cons: I had selected an emergency aisle seat because additional legroom was offered in those seats, however, the seat was so narrow I couldn't sit there. Moved to a regular seat instead. Food was really mediocre compared to food I've had on other airlines.

Cons: They seemed to be a bit stingy on the beverages - I was pretty dehydrated so asked for another can of soda or glass of still water and never received it. Crew was not particularly friendly. I had flown British Air on the way over to Europe and that crew seemed genuinely more friendly. The complimentary headphones were terrible. I almost gave up on watching a movie until I pulled out my iPhone headphones and realized that I could finally hear the dialogue over the roar of the plane.

Pros: clearing customs in Dublin rather than US was nice. Since we chose the flight based on price, It's reasonable to expect some corner cutting.
Cons: Aer Lingus operated the flight. Haphazzard ticketing/check-in procedure would have been stressful if it wasn't clear that everyone else on the plane was there in line too. Both legs of our trip with Aer Lingus were on older planes, that had obviously flown a lot of miles. Sound on my seat console on this flight was so bad that it was unusable.

Movie selection tepid. Can't use your own headset & get stereo sound because of their 2-prong system. Whole setup really bad. On overnight flight from Boston to Dublin, could barely sleep because flight crew kept interrupting with announcements about collecting trash.

Cons: Isle seat in row 43 with little foot room due to a metal box bolted to the floor was not OK for a 6+ hour flight. General boarding of all rows seemed chaotic and slow as opposed to loading by higher rows first. This was my second transatlantic flight with Aer Lingus - booked 6 months in advance- where I was assigned a seat in a row in the back, row 43 and row 46 - definitely not my preference for seating.

Pros: Check in in Dusseldorf was easy, bit they made up for it in Dublin!! In Dublin the check in and information desk of air lingus were awuful. Full of attitude and absolutely no knowledge.

Cons: The check-in in Duesseldorf was subcontracted and staffed by an uninformed agent which led to a lot of confusion and inconvenience in Dublin. Someone like that does not reflect well on Aer Lingus which I definitely recommend otherwise!

Cons: Are Lingus is non responsive to their customers. When I called them about their change in my schedule, I was on hold for 45 minutes before someone answered the call. I explained my situation that because they changed my flight that I would now have to get a hotel, stay overnight and fly out the next day. They said there was nothing they could do and refused to pay for the hotel or meals that would be incurred as a result of their changing my flight. This was after I explained that I had originally paid more for the tickets on their airline so I would NOT have a long layover. Worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Cons: My seat was changed and I was in the middle seat, not the window seat I had selected weeks earlier. My brother and his daughter had their seats changed, too, and they were in middle seats 14 rows apart, so she flew by herself on an international flight all by hersel! My headphones wouldn't work correctly in the double jack, only getting one side. Why change the plugs? The flight attendant said that they wouldn't work and that she would get me a headset. Two hours into the flight I finally got a headset. The male flight attendant was great, but unfortunately we were dealing with others that totally ignored my two small requests for the entire 6 hour flight. Our flight to Dublin was awesome, but this flight back was very very disappointing!! Changed my while feeling about Aer Lingus

Pros: Nice, new clean aircraft, excellent meal service, very very friendly crew, top notch the minute we got on plane
Cons: Two major problems, when we went to check in, we stood in line and were very rudely told by some German British Airways attendent that we couldn't check in with them and that we needed to go to Aer Lingus, this even though our reservations were through British Airways. Second, despite my efforts over a few months to make seat reservations, my daughter and i were separated. Aer Lingus reps in rome fixed that and I was very, very grateful for that, but when we got to the Dublin/Boston leg of our flight, they couldn't or wouldn 't fix the seating issue. On board the plane though, the flight attendents arranged for my daughter and I to sit together. Really upset me that I didn't know until the very last minute, on the plane, whether I was going to be able to sit next to my child.

Pros: Aer Lingus' international flights have a while's way to go before it can rival that of Singapore Airlines (in terms of food & comfort), but overall it was good for the price. It was spacious enough for my 12" MacBook to be used, but as is the case with all flights, it gets crammed when the front passenger reclines.

Person behind me was not happy that I reclined my seat and was vocal about it while the person in front of me was completely reclined and I'm a small person. Heck, I paid for the the seat and should be able to move my seat back without any issues. Still very smuched. Extra leg room shouldn't be a premium.

Pros: Temperature was good. Fortunately the seat next to me was empty which always makes it more comfortable if only the person in front of me did not move her seat back - that makes it difficult to get up. Movie choices were good and the individual screen was good for watching and could be paused.
Cons: International flights usually include wine with their meal but this would have been an overpriced purchase. The selection of food was marginal and too spicy, only the dessert was edible. We travel a lot, first and last time with this company. Oh and TSA people had an attitude problem. Never experienced this before.

Cons: For some unknown reason, I wasn't able to select my seat upon booking my flight. Perhaps this is because I booked through Kayak instead of directly on the Aer Lingus website. Because I was traveling with a friend, I wanted to choose a seat next to him. I could not figure out how to select a seat. The choice was not available through Kayak or through Aer Lingus. I e-mailed two Aer Lingus addresses, one kayak/vayama customer service address, tweeted at Aer Lingus and even sent them a facebook message. When I called Aer Lingus, I had to wait on hold for an HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES before anyone answered the phone. They said that I couldn't pre-choose my seat and that I had to select it at the airport. Well, when I got to the airport, the Aer Lingus staff said that wasn't true and that the only seat left was in the very back of the plane. Far away from my friend. What a waste of time. This airline was extremely unorganized. Choosing a seat seems to be a rather simple thing to do on every other airline.

Cons: I was forced to check a bag that was 1kg too heavy on 1 out of 4 total aer lingus planes I was on. If it worked for 3 planes it's not going to cause an issue.

Pros: The seats were roomy, the movie and tv selections were great, and meal service was spaced out nicely during the flight.
Cons: The boarding process needs to be a bit more streamlined. The system they have now is quite chaotic. Board the back of the plane first instead of the first 1-16 rows and THEN the back. It was all quite frustrating.

Cons: This was one of the worst flights I’ve been on. Both planes were downright filthy. The flight from Dallas to Barcelona had several broken toilets. Flight from Paris to Barcelona boarded and once everyone was on board, they told us that we would be sitting there for 2 hours before leaving.

Pros: The crew ask some of us to help seating a family group together. No objection. Then they went out of their way to make the trip more enjoyable for us... even offering a drink of Champagne wine (the true one, not some substitute)... Departed almost on time, arrived a few minutes early...

Cons: Crew not only lacked sensibility to understand the purpose of an emotional support dog but kept harassing me about the dog being tied to my seat. At some point a flight attendant even tried to touch my dog, invading my personal space. When the dog rightfully acted defensive trying to protect me, the crew member started threatening me that he would have the dog sent to cargo, the last thing a person with an emotional support pet wants to hear. Extreme lack of professionalism.

Cons: Our flight in Lisbon was scheduled to board an hour before departure. We arrived on-time, went through the line and were then placed in a standing room only area to stand and wait for another 45 minutes before boarding. We were placed near the entrance (I thought to board early as a family) but were later told to join another line when we asked why we sere just standing and waiting while other passengers were walking past us. The communication between staff and between your staff and passengers was poor.

Cons: at check-in agent said we did not have coverage on our ticket for our 2 -50lb bags dispite informing her that we were covered and had no problem on our arriving flight to Portugal - we had to pay 196 Euros or leave our bags in Portugal Additionally we had ordered a wheelchair to assist my wife to the gate - which we also had our arriving flight - agent said she had no record of it. She said we could wait which we did and waited 2 hours to obtain a wheelchair (and came close to missing our plane) not to mention the stress associated with the whole check in process

Pros: I really appreciated the fact that the gate agents enforced the boarding process meticulously. Often times, even when boarding a certain zone, passengers ignore it and board anyway. The staff made sure that people only boarded when their zone was called. The flight and the aircraft was comfortable. The food was better than what I've had on other airlines, if not at least equal.

Cons: This flight never indicated that there would be an additional charge for baggage. It cost me $400 extra dollars. The service for the airline was terrible and the layovers were horrible.

Cons: Had to check 2 of our luggages, and it cost $95 per piece. Never flown an airline where I had to pay more than $50 per piece. Also carryon has to be less than 8 kg. Our small luggage that we had to check never had any problems with any other airlines about being a carryon but since it was over 8 kg, it had to be checked. Took a 7.5 hour flight and the entertainment screen was not working for anyone, as the system was broken. Will not be flying with airline ever again.

Pros: Both check ins (to and from Boston) the staff were rude. No information, just alot of speaking Portuguese to other staffers while my family and I stood there. The flight and crew were good, clean, kind and efficient.
Cons: There was a strike in Lisbon. Thousands of people trying to go through security and four people working the booths. Plus NO information. Just chaos, bad feelings and HOURS of standing in lines. Stressful. Will NEVER go to Lisbon again.

Pros: The only airline that makes me feel like a human being and not a piece of baggage. Very comfortable seating with good legroom for tall people like me. Attendants treat you with respect and are responsive to requests.
Cons: Gate number was different from what was on my ticket and the tv screen at the original gate didn't indicate where the new gate was supposed to be. Don't need that kind of stress when traveling!

Cons: Our flight was DCA to Boston then to Lisbon, with similar return. Our return flight into Boston arrived early enough to allow us to get an earlier flight home but TAP customer service wasn't open until after the earlier flight departed. Also, Jet Blue, the domestic carrier, could not change our flight because it was booked through TAP.

The crew was professional and courteous and the boarding process (two kids included) was very smooth. This has been our BEST experience with an airline in 15 years of traveling annually to Europe. Cons: At the check in, despite that I have a swiss passport, 5)3 hostess looked solely at my face and assumed I need avisa and asked me three times for my visa. On the flight, blankets are removed 20-30 minutes before landing during which I was freezing. Upon arrival, my new bag i hadnt used as yet was broken and TAP pays nothing and does no kind of exchange for broken bags. Basically- they dont care! During my return flight, despite being checked in adn being at the airport wel ahead of time, the airport clerks gyided me to the wrong desk and I had to wait longer than needed. The check in for baggages had closed by 1 min. They were allowing me to take the flight only if I threw out all my liquids or else were off loading me. They proposed no other solution and wanted to make me pay 450 dollara to put me on the flight the next day. I had an interview the following day and needed to return. I ended buying a new full fare ticket with British airways and got excellent service. I am yet to complain to TAP.
