Cons: "Rude flight personnel. We werent assigned seats by each other when we have a four year old. Personnel was rude when addressing the issue. Very rude flight attendent as well. Flights were not child friendly in regards to beverages. No apple juice or milk. We will never fly Air Lingus again."

Cons: "The cabin lights after dinner were supposed to go off so people could sleep. The lights were going on and off uncontrollably the last few hours of the flight. Flight attendant said the plane had issues with the "control panel because it was an old plane". The worst part was when a female flight attendant wouldn't move her feet over a few inches while sitting in her chair, so that I (a pregnant woman) could use the closest bathroom to my seat in the back cabin. I had to ask her twice and both times she confirmed "She was on her break and would not move her feet" so that I could use the bathroom. Also note, the seatbelt sign was off but that wasn't even her excuse. The bathrooms were dirty and the toilet seats need to be replaced to be asked to sit on those is degrading!"

The Aer Lingus flight was fine, but Vanama, the middle agency that youhave processed my tickets through- caused me a lot of stress. The daybefore my flight, I was trying to check in, and I received a message thatmy reservation was cancelled. I called Vanama, who rudely put me on morethan 30- minute hold on the phone, told me that Aer Lingus would not dealwith them, but the customer directly. I told him(Daniel of Vanama) that Ihave paid for my fare, that it was their responsibility, not mine to dealwith the airline. Never-the-less I tried calling the Airline, severaltimes, and listened to their own voice messages up to 2 in the morning ofthe day of my flight. Lacking sleep, and still not packed, I went to bed, went very early to the Madrid airport. I knew by the look on the AerLingus(Cristina) staff that there was a problem---she went ahead issued mea boarding pass, told me to go to the ticket counter in Dublin, and ask forhelp. After going from one floor to another, and another, to twodifferent staff-the problem sorter at Aer Lingus told me, Vanama never issued the ticket. That they should not have let me board the plane in Madrid, but he said he took care of the mess. Now you want to know how my flight went."
Pros: "I liked doing immigration in Dublin rather than Chicago, even though the process was lengthy. We couldn't understand why, having done the automated system, the process was virtually repeated at the immigration desk. Queues were very long."
Cons: "As above plus my husband's seat arm was broken. The inflight entertainment system was a joke. Back of seat screens fitted but not working. Very distant ceiling screens and only one working before the whole system failed. Not acceptable on a long flight."
Pros: "The flight itself was relatively pleasant with friendly staff, decent food and beverages, and good entertainment options."
Cons: "Upon arrival, one of our bags was missing and was not received for three and a half days. I have had a delayed bag before with another airline and this experience was worse due to outdated technology. There was no tracking available for them to locate the bag and the online system was not updated. Additionally, I was promised a call when it was located, but did not receive any news until I reached out to the telephone line."
Pros: "The food was wonderful - all hand packed in Ireland. Particularly liked the ice cream! (Better than United, Delta or Southwest. Not as good as Qatar Airlines.) The staff was particularly positive and upbeat."

I was told when boarding that not able to take a coffee that I had literally just purchased on board - I travel frequently and have NEVER been told this before.. I always buy a coffee and take on baord teh fligth as airline coffee sucks!This needs to be made clear if this in in fact an Aer Lingus policy. This was one of the many stupid rules that were constantly effected during the flight -" you can't do this, you can;t do that" and whilst i understand some are for safety - I and fellow passengers felt like we being scolded like school children"

Cons: "Showed up an hour and a half before departure time at Chicago OHare and there was no one staffed at the check in desk to print out boarding passes and they had no electronic kiosk to print out boarding passes either. There was just a sign that said call customer service. Then the several passengers that were never boarded for the afternoon flight due to the unavailability of staff were asked to pay $200 to get on the next flight due to "corporate policy." We refused and booked another airline. Horrible customer service."

The young lad taking me back through the process really didnt seem to have a full grasp on the process. Many of the seats required assistance in coming back from a reclined position. The selection of movies wasn't that spectacular, but I made do as best as possible. The meals, were adequate at best, and having to pay for spirits was also an additional negative having already paid for the trans-Atlantic journey."
