I have flown hundreds of times and have zero fear of flying. Today, I was terrified that the power would shut off mid-flight at any moment. I truly wish we'd been given another plane...i know that's tough. But something along those lines would have been better than stepping back on the one that shut down with all of us in it...after waiting for hours for it to be repaired. I do appreciate the $150 coupon though."

Cons: "The flight announcer at the beginning of the flight was super unprofessional. They kept having to stop their script in order to laugh and giggle. Had I not already know how to do the safety procedures, I wouldn't have learned it from him. The seat belt barely fit me. Now, to be fair, I am fat. But, when I had to suck in to belt in, there was no slack on the end. The seat 31C has a busted aux port. I tried to watch a movie, first off the closed captioning didn't work. So I tried to listen. The aux port wiggled in it's casing and there was so much static that there was no point in listening. The off boarding process was very slow and uncoordinated. I understand that they have to off board in a certain order. However, the flight announcer could have kept the rest of the plane updated on the process. Instead we had to sit in claustrophobic silence and fidget while the line of passengers in the aisle did not move."

I believe the reasons for the delays were known long before the delays were communicated to passengers. (For example, there was a new delay announcement at 8:00 for a flight scheduled to leave at 7:58). Had we been informed earlier, people could have made alternate plans if they wanted to do so (e.g. Rent a car or reschedule for the next day.)"

I was summarily woken up and told that it wasn't appropriate to sleep in a lounge. I complained at the front-desk (politely) and was told ... "This is a lounge". Oh and yes, the Wifi wouldn't connect and the food was stale ... so I left, and found a very nice sofa in the concourse. On the flight, service was non-existent, whoever was in the galley was clattering things about, despite the fact that this is a short red-eye flight ... the coffee was awful. The steward forgot to give me my coat and I had to ask twice AFTER we landed and were leaving the plane to get it. By contrast, Lufthansa has daybeds and a special quiet area to snooze, and offer pillows and blankets. Clearly, the Germans are louche compared to Americans."

I got to Boston 5 hours after I had intended to with no ability to give my rid from the airport any info for when I would be getting off the plane. The whole time dance moms rotated between a different show but must have come on 3 times with no ability to shut the screen off and take a nap. No compensation was offered in any way."

I will avoid this airline in the future, its not worth spending a little less to risk your vacation. Also if you have back problems none of their coach seats recline they are so cheap."

I can't believe that after all of those fees Frontier can't even offer water? I will be avoiding flying Frontier from now on."

Also, only 2 check-in kiosks with only one working and no assistant to help speed along the process. I witnessed one man who spent approximately ten minutes trying to print his boarding pass. Cheap tickets which result in getting what you pay for."

Cons: "I checked a hard case fishing rod tube that contained a brand new fishing rod. The case can be opened from the top and side and both can be locked. The side was the only thing locked and top opening had a simple clip on it so anyone could to easily open it up and inspect the inside. Someone cut the side lock off, took the case apart obviously looking for something and then jammed everything back together securing the cut off lock with a zip tie. After I got home late that night I noticed my lock was cut off and rod broken in 2 pieces. Very disappointed, hopefully someone at Frontier reimburses me for the damage."

You can tell that positivity and how they interact with passengers is a priority in the hiring and training process. A lot of people have complained about having to pay extra for carry-ons and other luggage, but Frontier is REALLY clear about their policy for baggage when you book, so these people shouldn't have been shocked. It is a great deal for people who only travel with one small bag, and I'm glad that there is an airline that offers such cheap flights for light travelers. If you need to take a lot of luggage, you can add the cost as you are booking and then decide if it's the best deal before you finalize payment. Overall, it was a very good experience. You aren't going to get a ton of extras for free on this airline, but if getting to point B from point A with a nice flight crew is all that matters to you, Frontier is a great deal."

We picked that flight because it was the earliest back to Denver and were both subsequently late to meetings. The initial 25 minutes we understood, but adding an additional 30 while we were in the air and couldn't contact our respective bosses made one hell of a Friday for both of us. The seats (which we had to pay for) were glorified plastic chairs. Did not recline, had a tiny tray table, had zero pillow, and were super uncomfortable. I'm greatly confused as to why we pay a fare that doesn't include a seat, as there were literally zero free seats to choose from, and they were all just as uncomfortable. What exactly does the fare cover? Because carry on bags, beverages, and seats weren't included. The flight was approximately 4 hours long. Nearly half of that was tortuous as a child several rows ahead was having a full blown fit complete with yelling at the top of their lungs, hitting seats, etc. This was not your normal upset child on a plane, he was extremely misbehaving and there was no effort from the flight crew to ask the parents to calm him or to offer any help. It made the entire flight that much worse to watch the entire group of passengers appalled at this child's behavior and not so much as a free juice for him or even a hello from the crew to distract him. Both of us have been flying since we were toddlers and understand a crying child. This was so much more than that. We regret that frontier is often our only option for getting home to CO without purposefully booking an additional flight to another hub. Every time we have to fly Frontier we get our hopes up that things have improved and are regularly disappointed. Your planes rarely leave on time, and when they do the passenger experience is still sub par. Hoping we can get another major airline to put more flights out of Denver or Colorado Springs solely so we don't have to rely on Frontier, the unreliable carrier."

I had a computer bag and a pocket book but didnt have to pay a thing. This is after we paid $50 per bag that we checked. It seems as though Spirit airlines only wanted to make money on all of us traveling at Christmas. Not the right spirit at all!!"

We sat on a packed plane for 40 minutes until the captain came on and said that "our paperwork" had cleared and we would be taking off in 5 minutes. 5 minutes later, at 445pm, the exact time we were originally scheduled to be landing in Boston, a flight attendant came on and said the flight was cancelled and everyone needed to get off the plane!!!! Seriously!?! I headed right to the JetBlue counter and booked a flight home that night. I paid a king's ransom for the one way flight, but at least they didn't cancel it! Never again will I book a flight with Spirit Air."

Cons: "Seat were small and tight. All food and drinks were sold, not even water available to passengers. They charge outrageous prices for carry on luggage. It cost me $55.00 at the airport to bring my carry on bag on board. I was told I should have paid for it before hand w;hen I booked the flight and it would have only been $45.00! This is not for checked bags but carry ones bags!"
Pros: "Somehow I was randomly assigned an extra leg space aisle without having paid for it, so my seat was incredibly roomy."
Cons: "Spirit airlines doesn't allow you to use TSA per check, wish I has known this prior to booking w them. Security line was 45 min long, the flight was luckily delayed 25 min or else myself and the many others stuck in the security line would have missed the flight. On top of that for anyone checking a bag, line to checkin was enormous while no other airline in the terminal had any line. On board the flight the flight attendants chatted over the PA incessantly, trying to sell you food/drink/airline promotional cards etc... I couldn't get off that plane soon enough. Will not fly spirit again, the cost savings aren't very significant when you take into account $55 charge for a carry on."
Pros: "They cancel my trip without any notice till I was in the airport"
