Flight was delayed over 2 hours. They don't announce anything on the speaker to keep you informed so we almost missed the flight altogether
The vouchers they gave us for our wait weren't offered until just before boarding so we spent cash and never used the vouchers.
Boarding was easy. clean plane, crew was very friendly. I was very concerned though, when we banked left and did a complete circle in the air. An explanation from the captain would have been terrific. I made sure I was the last one to leave the plane and asked him about it when I saw him at the exit. He told me what happened but I would have liked to know while it was happening. Besides that, the coke and pretzels were divine. :)
CHECKING & SEATING
At checking I was able to pick a seat near the exit doors which gave a me a lot more extra room for my legs without paying extra which was much appreciated.
Luggage was delivered in a timely manner which was greatly appreciated after a long flight.
It was a mess, everybody was called to board at the same time which slowed down the seating process in the place.
Because of certain food intolerances I asked for a special meal and fortunately the meal had been prepared but the crew was not aware it was for me and first gave me the regular meal. Both for lunch and afternoon snack! I would appreciate they know my specifics and don't bring me food I cannot eat.
I recently made the acquisition of a new and very comfortable pair of noise cancelling headphones which I was excited to use but couldn't because the audio plug required two jacks! I have not seen that in a place for quite some time.
we were stranded in aberdeen due to flooding and were to miss our connection to vietnam. we were expecting the worst when we called BA but the service representative could not have been more helpful or efficient. she had us booked in the next couple of days all the way to our door. she was positive and we could tell she really cared about our plight.
Wonderfully nice crew. Food is pretty decent even with Economy. Seats are comfortable.
Their iPhone App (and to a lesser extend the website too) is awfully slow. It takes forever to gather booking info and check in. Sometimes the boarding pass just don't get delivered to my SMS.
Small selection of shows on personal screen. ZRH-HKG flights don't even have touch screens, and the UI is very antiquated.
-Puking Child - Puke stayed in the aisle for about 30 minutes and then when the plane landed there was more and it wasn't cleaned up
- SO much turbulence for 3 hours and no announcement was made about it. Was slightly concerning. Terrible turbulence
