The man seated in front of me complained about the odor and pointed also noticed the uterine in the seat. I accidentally put this info in the comments on my flight from medellin to panama. This took place on this flight."

Cons: "Don't transfer through Panama; worst experience with ill-trained gate security agents taking personal property for no reason, broken toilets, no real dining options. Just use another transfer city like MIA or skip COPA altogether if you have to transfer in Panama."

We were never asked about the infant traveling until we went to check in at the desk and were told we needed to pay taxes for the baby at a rate of 10% of the cost of the ticket. But because we were doing it on the day of the flight, 10% was almost $200! We did not receive good customer service from staff, who simply told us we "should have known to investigate this." We have never been asked to do this when flying with a baby before! This was after an hour and a half of already waiting to check in our bags. We were waiting so long and dealing with this issue for so long that we almost missed the flight! A terrible experience. Also, the web check in line took even longer than the line of people who had not checked in online beforehand! It was so slow, it added to us almost missing our flight. It was a waste of time to check in online, especially since they gave us new boarding passes when we checked our bags in anyway. We also had trouble finding both of our reservations, even though we booked them together as a family, so we ended up with seats that were not together. When we had an issue, we were given an attitude by the staff checking us in."

Pros: "The service was great. And I had a personal issue so I had to change my schedule and they were very kind and helped me."
Chicago-OHare was mostly good, though the YSA agents were very loud and many of them very rude! American Airlines staff and crew were excellent. No complaints. The bag-check process was very easy and we had a very smooth arrival process. We were at the airport for about 45 minutes including rental car return, bag check, TSA, and arrival at our gate. Very happy!
Worst experience ever. My carry on was checked in and I had to carry all my electronics (laptop, etc) as if I was lost. No food. No proper AC. It was clearly stated that I have a carry on that I could bring with me and I wasn't allowed a carry on upon boarding. I flew many airlines (International and domestic airlines) and this by far is the worst experience I've had.

I saw no sanitizing on any of the three flights I had to take to get to Detroit. of the four airports only the one in Guadalajara asked any health questions and could be seen sanitizing the waiting room and eliminating seats to keep spacing."

Flew with a 1st class upgrade to DFW and upon missing the connection to DSM (imputable to AA) I would have expected AA to have me await my later conection (3 hrs AA 2488) in the Admiral’s club especially after having paid for the upgrade. Instead, the bozo at the Admiral’s Club entrance in Terminal A A23 indicated that only Mexico City passengers were allowed into the Club even if as a GDL passenger I had a 1st class boarding pass. Poor and misguided management of the moment of truth on behalf of your employee with a 1 Million Miler customer. My experience recently with Delta and United has been with more open minded, customer centric and better trained airline staff. Disappointing and hope someone will read this and let me know that my note was heard. What is next?"

Ended with us getting off the plane 4 hours after we were originally due to take off, a further hour delay before they said we could board again but then midway through that boarding we were told the flight was cancelled and no hotels were available and we'd need to return to check-in area to find out next steps. All this with our exhausted 4-year olds. Ended with us leaving the airport at 3 am. I truly never wish to fly American Airlines again."

My only chance to get to Cincinnati "on time" was to take a 6am two-part flight from Newark via Charlotte, arriving in Cincinnati at 1pm. All around the American Airlines section you could hear people say that flights had been canceled like this all week. I did not have time in Cincinnati to do half the things I wanted to do, and I had so little sleep on Friday night that I had to spend too much of my first Cincinnati night in bed trying to catch up with lost sleep, Thanks, American! This was to have been the head-clearing out-of-town break I sorely needed after a period of over-intense work."
