Airline reviews

I am writing regarding my recent flight from La Paz (LAP) to Los Angeles (LAX). While I understand and respect the importance of airline safety procedures, I left this experience feeling deeply upset by the way I was treated by a member of your staff. At the gate, I was informed that my suitcase contained a charging unit that could not travel in its current form. My husband and I immediately complied with every instruction given to us, including opening the suitcase and removing the charging unit. We were ultimately told that we needed to break apart the charger in order to board the flight, which we did without argument. Afterward, I was directed to another employee. I calmly asked whether it had actually been necessary to break the charging unit in order to board, as I simply wanted to understand the policy. Rather than explaining, she responded aggressively, repeatedly asking, “Do you want to stay? Do you want to stay? Because this flight is leaving.” Following that interaction, I was instructed to reopen my suitcase, remove my shoes, and the employee asked my husband whether I had been drinking. I have been sober for seven years, and being questioned in that manner after simply asking a respectful question was humiliating and incredibly upsetting. I want to be very clear that I am not challenging Alaska Airlines’ safety policies. I fully support them and understand that employees have an important responsibility to keep passengers safe. My concern is solely with the manner in which I was treated. I felt intimidated rather than assisted, and what should have been the joyful end of a trip celebrating my marriage became an experience that left me in tears for much of the beginning of our flight home. I rarely submit complaints and generally try to extend grace to people working in stressful environments. However, this interaction fell far short of the level of professionalism I have come to expect from Alaska Airlines. I respectfully ask that this incident be reviewed with the employees involved so that future passengers are treated with dignity and respect, even during time-sensitive situations. Given the distress this experience caused and the lasting impact it had on what should have been a very special trip, I would also like to respectfully request that Alaska Airlines consider providing a refund or other appropriate goodwill compensation for this flight. While I understand this may not be standard policy, I hope you will take the circumstances into consideration. Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I look forward to your response.

everything was good but due to some sort of issue with the alaska airlines app we were not able to verify our passport info, event thought we uploaded all the info online at home before we left for our trip. Upon arrival at the airport LAX for departure we were told we still had to check in with the desk and this put as well behind the amount of time needed to safely make our departure flight. This was a major inconvience and a big stress on our family. We almost missed our flight.

Seats were not allocated until we arrived at the boarding gate, My children were split up and sat seperatley to both us parents. 1 a 13 year old girl.

If you change a gate number while customer is at the airport, you should let your customer know. You also assigned my seat to someone else, and again, never notified me about that. Your flight attendant seemed annoyed at having to find me another seat. No apologies for AA doing any changes.

The plane was late 4 hours without asking the person at the counter did as much as he could to accommodate my situation after knowing I had to catch another flight. He gave me the option of flying that day or the next and made sure I had a place to stay for the night. He went above and beyond what was expected. Los Angeles was a bit of a problem the person at the gate was a bit rude but the second person was a lot nicer.

The flight was delayed by several hours at the airport and then again after we boarded the plane.

The flight was delayed, delayed and 10min before boarding canceled Put up in not so nice accommodations Checked in at 12:35am Given dinner vouchers for nothing open even though agents said there would be options Breakfast that came with room opened at 7:00 2:35 this morning notice of cancelation until 2:45pm Finally told by bold passengers waiting for flight crew stuck in Punta de Mita unable to get taxi to puerta Viarta Was just informed by passager that the flight crew was on taxi. 1 1/2hr delay . Keep passengers informed of right info.!!! Don’t wait until late night to cancel when all food options are gone Bring in more agents to handle the 180 passengers so wait times weren’t hours in ever part of process I will expand on my comments if we get home tonight

The pilots were great! The flight attendants were not so friendly, possibly because the previous flight was delayed. They just seemed like they wanted to get home. The seats were small.

Until now it has been a headache, I got stuck here in Mexico for 3 more days due to the last minute cancelation

It was a short trip and the staff try to help us as much as possible to get the flight going

I am a Diamond Medallion Delta traveller and this was a disappointing flight. They allowed half the flight to preboard before Delta One and Diamond Medallion. Once on the plane in my Delta Premium Select seat we were not given any welcome or greeting. Throughout the flight the flight attendant also did not make us feel any sort of special service or attention and even rushed us when she did bring us a snack to pick in the dark not even offering a light to look at what it was -- she was overall not helpful and not accommodating. for the extra cost of the seat it was honestly not a special experience this flight. heads up that even the warm cookies are now packaged. I ate nothing. There really was nothing that was special, stood out or exceptional. Luckily I mostly slept. But I was disappointed and question if I may try a different flight next time I go to Tokyo. The last few Delta flights have been less than great. which makes me very sad.

Love me some Delta. One of the few airlines to recognize and support veterans. Easy boarding, flight was on time and arrived early and the flight attendants were excellent on this flight.

Flight delayed four separate times. I’m now one hour hours late to landing.

worst flight ever from Delta, it got delayed and kept on delaying..

While they turned off most cabin lights to allow people to sleep, I was bothered by how bright the side lights still were. It was still quite bright for me in a window seat, when I wish I could have slept!

The crew bent over backwards to thank us for flying and make us comfortable. The food service was quick and efficient. The Captain communicated and said goodbye and thank you as we departed. They really stood out!

Staff at the check-in counter were friendly, happy and helpful. They tagged our bags and sent us to “bag drop off” but were not very clear about where that was. The airport was busy we headed off in what we thought was the right direction until a gentleman waved us down and actually came after us. He was the baggage handler for Delta and recognized our “deer in the headlights “ look-he brought us to the right area (which was marked as the Southwest Airlines Drop Off) and sent us on our way. Wonderful guy, low key and working with a big smile on his face. Loved it. Loved him.

I love the free WiFi!! Crew was nice. Bathroom was decent. First time flying delta in a long time and I enjoyed it. Will definitely look into booking with Delta more but I think Delta is a little more expensive than the other airlines.

Since it wasn’t a Delta flight, I was not able to sit with my group and there was no entertainment.

Three adults, three children. They did not give us seats together. Two seats together, in row 23, one in 13, one in 14, one in 10, and one in 17. When we got on the plane, the crew tried to ask people to move but basically threw up their hands. One person moved so we had two pairs of seats together. The 1.5 year old sat on a parent's lap (despite having paid for his own seat).

Painless trip. Only downside: No entertainment system (which we know with Viva & Volaris) and very small seat space. I'm petite and felt squizzed. I'm not sure how most overweight passengers do.

They closed the gate over 25 minutes before departure and I didn’t get to board.

I paid for Viva play and most of the time didn’t work and also I order some drinks and the price was to expensive.

Everything was okay, but boarding begins late and when I was returning there was a gate change. The app never showed the change.

NOTHING.. THEY CANCEL MY FLIGHT WITHOUT NOTICE AND ENDED UP BUYING A NEW ONE..

Ridiculous fees for seats and restrictions of 10kg carry on. Cheap a$$ airline

Viva aerobús didn’t let me check in to my flight even when there was more than an hour before take off.

We had to pay extra for our seats and when we got to our seats a family was already seated in them. The flight attendant just told us to sit somewhere else. What would make it better would be a refund for the seats we were not given.

Great flight with a great crew. So cheap and yet so wonderfully fulfilling. Wish other airlines were this comfortable and well run.

It was an ok Flight bur pilot humor during announcements make it great

Unfortunately it was not a good flight got canceled had to be at the airport all night long to get a different flight to another airport my first flight with Volaris was very bad. Poor services

Better communication about delayed flight. I am thankful for a small credit for late flight.

Terrible. And they charged over $400 just for luggage. And threatened that I would loose my flight if I didn’t pay. So I didn’t have another choice but to pay.

The flight was delayed an hour and a half, and they would not update the board on when the flight was supposed to take off. Once the plane arrived, they started the boarding process before the plane was even ready for the passengers so we had to wait another 45 minutes on the tarmac while we waited for the plane to be ready for us. In my opinion, there is no point in starting the boarding process when you are not ready to board the plane. This just causes a crowded gate with everyone from zone one and zone two standing up going nowhere.

My experience was good. But it seems that every time I go on Volaris the plane is always full, not sure if because the price is cheaper. And the flight attendants kept hitting my shoulder every time they walked by the aisle with their food cart. I’m 6’4” so I barely fit in the seat next to the aisle. Plus the seat was defective. I had a hard time raising the lever where I rest my left arm. I tried calling the flight attendant 3 times if she could assist me but she was too busy talking in the back with her fellow flight attendants. Finally after 20 mins she looked my way and she too struggled to fix the problem but she finally raised it so I could get out of my seat.

I never got an email for checking in for my flight back to Los Angeles so I got to airport extra early to sort it. they changed the gate, and so I had to run to the other end of the airport. Their app is wonky. They are not on WhatsApp and I didn’t have cell service to call for help. I think they need to up their game with communicating.

When you make the 3 Lines to board de airplane , I believe that you should make only one line first and then call the next and then last ,,, because the number 3 wait to long just standing there ,, my opinion !!!

Flight got canceled, made me lose my connection flight to Japan. Someone has to pay for it. It might be you guys

I didn’t like anything about the flight. It was delayed six hours and I was traveling with my elderly mother. It was a complete inconvenience. Not happy about my experience.

I didn’t like anything, they were the worst airline I ever used, charged 40 dollars if you flight as USA citizen, if you want food you have to pay for it, seats are uncomfortable service is the worst

They canceled flight. Hard to believe there was even a plane incoming for us to get on

Plane was down graded and I lost my uncharged exit row with more leg room. No mention or offer of refund from podium. Flight attendant was nice to explain this happens often and that I could request a refund via online form submission. I did this and have heard nothing back.

Horrendous. I do not recommend Frontier. The passengers lack manners and decency, and the flight attendants lack professionalism. If I wasn’t in a bind to fly with 48 hours notice for a job interview, I would not have selected a flight with Frontier and I never plan to fly with them in the future.

The seats were hard molded plastic covered in plastic vinyl. And the scam to charge people extra to sit together. Don’t they know we can just ask someone to trade seats. And watching the staff separate young children from parents… super classy. We had to guilt them into offering up our seats. This companies policies suck. Don’t give them your money.

The plane was clean, the crew was friendly and helpful. It’s a low cost airline so there was no food, drinks or in flight entertainment but we didn’t expect any of these things. In the room for improvement department, they should install USB ports in seats to charge mobile devices.

I was surprised that all baggage, including carry on, were charged. Each additional bag went up in cost. Really disappointed in the additional costs.

There was no easy way to check in. I don't want to install an app to checkin. I will use alaska from now on because they have a web check in method that is easy.

Most horrible airlines. Please avoid it. It's ok to spend $50 extra for delta, united or Alaska

After 5 hours of delay, they cancelled the flight. Very disappointed

My flight to LA was cancelled. I waited at the airport for 3 hrs saying it was delayed and then all of a sudden it was cancelled. Frontier only gave me a voucher and refund but could not rebook me. Flights on other airlines were too expensive last minute. I had to drive down to LA and didn’t even take my return flight home since I had to drive. One of the worst airline experiences in my life. It’s crazy how airlines can just upend people’s plans just like that.
