She provided me with a hot water bottle that did wonders in relieving the pain and stopped the cramp from returning."

Pros: "After my evening flight on Air Canada was cancelled and I was so anxious that I would not make it to Vancouver the next morning in time for my cruise, Taeao at Alaska airline was an Angel in disguise!! She helped me get booked on a flight that would arrive in time and was so comforting! In fact, all employees that evening were so helpful. Even when the engine wouldn't start on connecting flight in Seattle and we had to return to gate, delaying flight quite a while,?Captain kept us well informed of what was going on and was very apologetic and very quickly, Alaska airlines sent me an email with a credit towards another flight because of the inconvenience!! THANK YOU Alaska Airline, Taeao and employees working on the evening of June 20 at HNL!!!!!"
Pros: "The first-class flight attendants would sometimes help the main cabin passengers and were generally in a better attitude and much more helpful."
Cons: "The plane was changed and my "Premium" seat was downgraded. The seats were uncomfortable and much too cramped. I paid $89 extra for premium seating, and when cancelled upon, was only offered a $25 credit for future travel plans. Since I cannot count on Alaska, I'm not sure how soon my "future," travel plans will be ..."

Cons: "I found the aisle seats to be more uncomfortable than the inner seats. There was less room under the seat for baggage and feet and I got my elbow banged pretty bad by a cart (I had fallen asleep). I also think it is lame to be charged for basically everything but a drink and a cracker on a 5+ hour flight. We get nickle and dimed for everything. $10 for each food item, $10 for a movie screen (what happened to the good old days with free in flight movies?). We have to pay to check luggage ($25 bucks). We normally avoid flying if humanly possible because it is in general too much stress and too expensive but we prefer Southwest airlines if they will go to our destination. Bags are included with their tickets!"
Pros: "What did I like about my flight?...Not much! Was not allowed to pick seat assignment during reservations.Called two days before returning for seat assignment...Told must do at airport day of. Arrived at airport 6 hours early day of and was assigned 31F (only32rows) tried to change as I really wanted near front, isle seat... was turned down but guy and wife in line behind me changed thier's from back to row 6.... I endured 31F surrounded by sick coughing, sniffing, snotty nosed, sneezing people and crying children for next 6 hours...I've been back almost a week and just now feeling well enough to venture out...I will never travel Alaska airlines if they won't give me an acceptable seat assignment... Hawaiian Airlines trip there was wonderful!"

They don't give me a free drinks, until I ask for it. And then when I request for a chocolate, they give me an either or choice. Well, if everything is on good timing, I would be fine. Since the delay, I thought they would make it up at the service ... Nah ... Oh well, next year, just find a better value airline. I hope Alaska would dump all their service, and adopt entirely virgin service. The only good thing about Alaska is probably its operation."

Pros: "We have been traveling to Hawaii and especially Kauai for years. We love the fact that we don't have to fly into Honolulu and transfer to the Inter-Island Terminal with Alaska. This saves a lot of time and there is a lot less hassle. We upgraded to Preferred Seats which are in the Exit Rows and with the extra leg room, it is really nice especially if you have someone in the window seat. We don't eat anything on the plane because we usually head to our favorite restaurant once we land."

The transfer in Vancouver after customs involved going outside in the cold to and from the bus. There was no warning. The customs area red jacketed help personnel told us that it was just as fast to go throught the general customs are instead of using our Nexus cards and this turned out to take forever. So very disappointing."

Cons: "There was only one agent on to check tickets. I was in line for 45 minutes and when I got to her, she just said over and over, there is nothing I can do, your flight time was just cut off. I would have to wait until the flight the next day. Even though I had no bags and there was still 35 minutes before take off. I also told her I knew I would be late and so spoke to someone from Westjet he night before. She smiled like I was lying to her. Lines should not be so black and white. If she would have just processed my ticket I would have had 35 minutes to get to my gate instead of 10. When you are flying with half full planes there should really be better ways to manage customer service."

Cons: "I missed both meals because I was asleep. I usually get woken up by the flight staff, but this time I just missed them. The first time, I woke up on my own to see everyone finishing their food, so I asked for a meal and I got one; the second time, I woke up to see the trash being collected, but never got a chance to ask for my meal because no member of the flight staff passed me again. I landed in LA at midnight and was starving."

Cons: "We left two hours after scheduled departure bc 1) the plane was late from prior flight and had to be cleaned, 2) engine check delayed the flight, 3) strong winds forced the airport (JFK) to use only one runway for departures and so on top of our plane delays we were delayed an extra half hour bc of airplane traffic. No entertainment onboard, meaning no screen on back of seat in front for movies, tv shows, etc. Food options were poor, especially breakfast (too much sugar content in all contents of “continental breakfast” pack."

Cons: "The e-ticket did not include the terminal information. As it was an Iberia flight I went to the terminal 7 where Iberia operates. However, after waiting on line when I got to the counter the attendant informed me that the flight was operated by American Airlines and I had to go to terminal 8. I ran to terminal 8 but by the time I got to the check in it was 6:15 and they said they said the check-in for the flight at 7(which was actually at 6:55pm) was closed for check-in. I was lucky enough that there was another Iberia flight (this one from terminal 7) st 8:30pm and the supervisor was able to find me a spot in that flight."

Cons: "Everything else. American cancelled my first flight from MSP to ORD. And when I got to Chicago, it cancelled my next flight to Nashville. The flight I managed to get on departed two hours late. There was no explanation for each of these cancellations/delays. There was virtually zero inclement weather anywhere, save for most of the country’s temperature being nearly equivalent to the surface of Neptune. And, the surly, clueless Chicago-based gate agent was the coupe de grace in my search for a reasonable explanation after which I waited impatiently for this episode to conclude. American get your act together."

I ended up watching 12 episodes of Big Bang Theory because it was the only free thing to watch that wasn't LinkedIn videos or Disney, which really sucked. Comfort level wasn't any better than any of the other airlines and service was the same as well. I've heard good things about Virgin but my experience was just mediocre."

They said that seat or middle seat in row 29is only choice. I said we paid for upgrade. They said to ask for a refund at LAX when landing at midnight. Asked passenger in 4D when he got his seat assignment - SAME DAY as flight, paid nothing for upgrade. I signed up for frequent flier program two weeks ago. Will be cancelling when card is received."

The "resetting process" took a while. She attempted, and the other stewardess did as well. They said that the TV issue that *some* of the people were experiencing wasn't able to be fixed by them and only by the company that provides it's service. So there wasn't anything that could be done. I know that at least the two guys that were traveling next to me had issues with the tv monitors as well. It was just driving it home that I will never fly on American Airlines again. I don't ask for much these days while flying, it's not like it's a luxury anymore. Atleast along with water or juice they should give some snacks.

I was not happy with the final total layover duration of 6hours. I booked a flight with 3h layover in Toronto, and a few weeks before the trip initiation I was notified of flight change due to flight cancellation of connecting flight, extending the layover to 4h. On the day of flight, the connecting flight was delayed by 2h so the final actual layover total was 6h. I would rather pay more to choose direct flights to Tokyo if layover duration keep on extending like this if I choose Air Canada.

I would do it again!

Short flight, food and entertainment.. not an issue..

Pros: "It was a small twin prop so there was only one cabin crew, but she was really pleasant."
Cons: "Instead of just staying on the plane we were required to deplane and take all of our luggage and haul it all through a long winding ramp and hallway into the airport. As soon as we got there, they said it was boarding immediately and we had to turn around and haul it all right back."
Pros: "Both going and returning flights left and arrived on time. The crew were good. Boarding and unloading went fast and efficiently and bags arrived fairly quickly and not damaged."
Cons: "The rouge entertainment system didn’t work. It seems like it’s old technology that was used when only some passengers used it. Now every seat has a device trying to log in. System just can’t support the high volumn of use. It worked on the return flight but most passengers were sleeping."

Having gone through US customs and the long way of security and check in and all. We were carrying 7 big bags as we were moving into the US and handling those many bags was a nightmare, we had to do it two days in a row!!! I lost a night booked in a hotel in NYC as I didn't know if we were getting a later flight until just too late to cancel. Very confusing to get to the right place to rebook, even Air Canada employees seemed confused. Rebooking agent took ages. We had paid for preference seats and finally we got terrible last row seats in the rebooked flight. We haven't been refunded since!! Delays and more delays on the rebooked flight again."

Cons: "We flew Air Canada Rouge both to Maui and returning. On the way out, our plane had a "fuel pump" failure and we had to sit on the tarmac for almost 2 hours. On our first attempt at a return flight, we were delayed because they were missing a flight attendant. After she showed up, we were told that a seal on the plane was leaking hot air onto the fuel tank, and we were likely not leaving the airport that night. They kept us at the gate for hours because there was a (and I quote) "1% chance we could get the part from another island, but don't count on it" The time for them to legally keep the pilot and attendants came and went, so they all left... but we were still kept at the gate. The plane left the gate and STILL AC Rouge wouldn't officially cancel the flight, because then they would have to put us up in hotels. So no crew, no plane, and all of us sitting at the gate at 2 in the morning waiting for some guy in some mainland city to call and tell us we could leave. FINALLY, the call came in, and we spent another hour and a half waiting in line to get hotel vouchers. The next day, when we actually got on the plane, my brother in law sat down to all of a sudden receive a fountain of water pouring on his head from the ventilation system. When he asked if he could get some tape or something to plug the leak of water, the stewardess told him that they are not allowed to put tape anywhere. So he stood there with a waded up paper towel. Oh, and there was puke on my seatbelt. Sure , it is a budget flight. But I am paying less for not having a meal, cramped seats, and minimal service... NOT an unsafe plane that is literally peeing on our faces for being dumb enough to choose this airline. Congrats, Air Canada Rouge for our worst flight experience. Get some planes that aren't falling apart."
