The gate we were at did not have a designated boarding area. This caused passengers to congregate in the middle of a walkway. The gate agent was clear in telling people to sit until their zone was called, but many did not listen. Whole fruits and vegetables are also not allowed, so don't pack those back to California. Bags were also weighed -- carry-ons could be just 25 pounds or less. This was enforced.

If you need leg room. Fly on another carrier. Hawaiian Air makes you pay another $300 for two passengers one way to upgrade if you do it both ways that’s another $600 and you could fly on a better airline for that

Do self check in. Much simpler print boarding passes at outside kiosk. I don't have that precheck but obviously they are trying to make everyone go that route bx we had to walk to the other end of the terminal for security once we checked in, instead of the much closer security check that was exclusive to precheck folks. That is frustrating.

HNL provides no help to get me from curbside to the check-in counter. Thank goodness we were not chased away by airport personnel while the person who drove us to HNL helped us get our bags through agricultural inspection until the Alaska Aiirlines counter inside Wish there had been curbside check-in

According to HNL gate agent arriving UA 1805 from Denver Is “infamously” late, so don’t take the redeye UA 1806 turn around flight unless your prepared to camp out in the airport and possibly miss connections on the US mainland
