We have to pay for food on a 2 hour flight? Just snacks, no meal even though it was dinner time. The stewardess doing announcements was obnoxious. She had an odd way of speaking with strange pauses, she kept calling it Kansas instead of Kansas City, and she made condescending remarks about it.
First off checking in started off bad the lines were very long and slow. I arrived with an infant 3hrs early and was checked in successfully only to be turned around at TSA because my baby wasn't put on my ticket so I had to stand in the long slow line all over again. Once at the desk to put my baby on my ticket the attendant asked for a birth certificate, who carries around a birth certificate. When I suggested my childs social security card she said that wouldnt work to identify him. This pissed me off, what other identification would a 4mnth old have, she ended up using the social security card anyway but in the future that needs to be highlighed when booking the trip so parents know what info to have ahead of time. This airline charges for eveything and its very expensive $50 for a checked bag is ridiculous, $40 for a carry on is absured. The only way you end up saving is if u are traveling alone with a back pack only filled with snacks. My first experience with this was not a good one I will never fly spirit again.
Boarding was easy. clean plane, crew was very friendly. I was very concerned though, when we banked left and did a complete circle in the air. An explanation from the captain would have been terrific. I made sure I was the last one to leave the plane and asked him about it when I saw him at the exit. He told me what happened but I would have liked to know while it was happening. Besides that, the coke and pretzels were divine. :)
Though the airplane arrived late for boarding (due to inclement weather and air-traffic), the airline worked fast to make sure that the plane was clean and ready to board. The hostesses were very kind and helpful.
There were no gluten-free options for snacks. There was no entertainment, which isn't really a problem for shorter flights.
AA changed my flight plans which resulted in a 4.5 hour layover in Philly. The gates were filthy, there is not much selection for in-flight food and nothing for entertainment. I couldn't even find an outlet that worked at the gate.
We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.
Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.
If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us, please send us an
