Good but delta needs to be more upbeat about the boarding process in Atlanta

There was a storm brewing in NYC but you would never know it from the flight. Great experience and barely any turbulence considering the storm.

Just a standard Delta flight: comfortable, excellent flight attendants. We had a direct flight, seated in Delta Comfort Plus, so it had a lot going for it, nevertheless, it was a good flight…

Anyone that purchased a Delta 1st Class seat should have access to the Delta Sky Club. My wife and I purchased 1st Class tickets for a Delta flight from SeaTac to Washington Dulles but were denied entrance to the SeaTac Delta Sky Club because we did have an American Express card.

Missed my connection due to poor weather disrupting AAs entire fleet. Rebooked my flights twice and was still unable to make it home. No offer of hotel compensation despite me being stranded overnight in Houston. Nothing really to do about it- just a bad couple of days to travel. I wish they were a little better at letting us know about delays in good time, as it would have made a difference to my planning.

Left 40 mins late; we were fine on our connection but many on our flight were not.

I don’t know if it was the size of plane that made it so we couldn’t have that on while taxiing/waiting our turn to take off or what, but it was too hot and stuffy onboard in Texas on the tarmac. Our next flight from Dallas to Huntsville, AL had the AC on the entire time we were waiting our turn/taking off- the plane was newer and slightly bigger. Not sure what the deal was but it made the flight pretty miserable."

After we boarded the plane we were told that no drink, snacks or food would be offered. The attendant shut off the lights as soon as we got in the air and kept it dark in the cabin until 10 minutes before we landed. She never came around to check on us once or ask if we needed anything. I was so thirsty when we landed. I have decided that I will either go back to United Airlines or check out the 1st class options at American Airlines better next time. This might not have been their fault, I'm not sure what it was, but the flight was late landing and we took off an hour late as well which really put me behind schedule."

Being told it was weather related on the plane and being told it was MAINTENANCE by customer service. The plane was very crowded, the flight attendants never smiled. WHen i told the attendant i was being "rained" on he said...i know its happening everywhere..... he said there was nothing he could do but get me paper towels...they never came. Pros: "I decided to travel First Class from Houston TX and that was the greatest choice I ever made. IAH requires travelers to arrive 2-3 hrs early due to traffic or weather conditions. I checked in at 2 pm and waited for my 5 pm boarding call. First class was amazing! I stored my belongings without any issues. I sipped wine and dined on pasta and watched the movie Father Figures with Owen Wilson and Ed Helms. The stewardess was polite and friendly. The food was enjoyable and the passengers were friendly. The bathroom as also immaculate, I was impressed."

Cons: "The gate was changed 1hr prior to boarding despite the arriving plane having landed 3hrs prior. So with stroller and infant in toe, I had to run to change terminals/buildings. There was no assistance or prior warning regarding this from the check in staff and I made it all the way to the original terminal and gate before having to turn around. The desk staff at the gate was asked about early boarding for infants and said it would be okay but didn’t give clear instructions on boarding so I sat down and they began boarding each group 20 minutes later and did not give priority to mother’s with infants. The stroller which I brought to the gate was then tagged incorrectly with a white tag instead of a pink tag. I was later told by he crew that it meant it would go directly to baggage claim instead of being brought to the door. According to the crew, all staff know to tag with a pink tag. At every step there was blatant display of inconsideration that made an already difficulty journey, that much more challenging."

The security line inNewsrk was ridiculous. I spoke to a TSA agent who couldn’t have cared less if I missed my flight and a United representative who told me to “just try.” In the end, I had to ask other passengers if I could go ahead of them. While I made my flight with a few minutes to spare, the process could have been much easier and the United Rep could have done more. He could have just called the gate at the very least to let them know I was coming. Apathy is not an indication of good customer service."

I found out i was charged for 2 glasses instead of one. To top it off the co-worker i was traveling with didn’t get charged due to the inconvenience and delay. i travel a lot with United (higher status than him) and would have liked that offer (and not get charged one i didn’t order) being a mileage plus and credit card holder. I did go on line and ask for a credit and they did make it right and give me a credit."

I hit the call light, tried to catch them as the crew was distributing headphones, and the light got turned off by an off-duty flight attendant without checking that we needed something. I got it in the end with an apology from crew but I still don't feel terribly safe Also, the paid entertainment system that my neighbors purchased seemed to be down with static for a portion of the flight."

I just got off a flight from Seoul to SF, with United (892) and they admittedly stated that they were understaffed (which was completely fine) and their attitudes were much more supportive than that of the following team (486), a flight from SF to IAD. 2. I was surprised, that on a 5hr flight, they only offered a half bag of mixed items and two rounds of beverages. I was sure that they would feed us something. However, if it's not the policy, I get it...but I asked if they had anything I could purchase, the flight attendant points me to the menu pamphlet and says that I could choose from there. I asked for the Chilled Chicken with Slaw and she promptly lets me know that they only have cheeseburgers, a protein box and Cheese. For a person who's lactose intolerant, I was again disappointed by the service--why ask me to go to the menu, if you knew there were only three items you were offering?? So I didn't order anything. 3. The entertainment blows my mind. I've flown with you guys like 8 times this year, and the app still does not work properly, however, before every flight, someone mentions over the intercom to be sure to download the app...but if it doesn't work...why offer it? Also, if there are tvs at the back of every headrest, the least you could offer is a random movie, versus the commercials about how great the app is, or whatever was scrolling along. Lastly, please note, I was trying to figure out a way to make a comment to United...but didn't want to sound TOOO disgruntled. I'm not opposed to flying with UA, absolutely not, but if any of these things are addressed, I definitely feel you will be making a massive improvement on what seems to be an airline that I'd think twice about taking. Feel free to e-mail or call me. I don't mean to sound rude...but having flown other airlines, and knowing that UA has been around for a while, i just hoped the experience would be better."

Now I have wasted PTO time that I can't get back and wasted money at our resort that I wasn't able to get back. One of the agents at Bradley International Airport Sammy put her hands on my friend and screamed in her face USING FOUL LANGUAGE with a line full of people and their children waiting to check in. It was unprofessional and uncalled for. We did get police and management involved. The overall experience was terrible."

Cons: "Leg room is non existent, overweight crew kept smashing into me literally every time they'd walk by"

Cons: "When I went to the gate in Houston to get my boarding pass for my second leg, the lady at the gate counter yelled at me because I didn't know my seat assignment even though I had already explained that I didn't know because I didn't have a boarding pass. On my original booking, I had chosen my seat to be a window, but when they rebooked me they put me in a middle seat even though there was a completely empty row in front of me. Then, to top everything off, they forced me me check my rollerboard carry-on because they said there was no more room on the plane, but when I got on I could see multiple spaces were still available. Another passenger and I were left to wait nearly 5 minutes on the jetway while the gate counter rep went to print our checked luggage tags. I asked the stewardess why I had to check mine even though there was plenty of space, and she said "it's hard to tell sometimes how much room we're going to have left." She also didn't offer any apology. All in all it was a terrible experience. I had to wait unnecessarily at various points of the travel process, had to endure a layover that was more than double what I had planned for, was forced to check my carry-on at the gate, and worst of all I missed a really important meeting. United obviously does not care at all about economy customers. Don't trust this airline! Book on Southwest or JetBlue - they actually care about customer retention!"
Pros: "From the Take off location in Low Angeles the United personnel was terrific...my parents both have health issues and the wheelchair..go cart service was great..."
Cons: "When returning from Houston to LA...i appreciated that the wheelchair service was ready when they arrived....what i didn't like was that as we entered the elevator one of the workers made a comment to his partner that there was to much weight cause the elevator made a certain noise...but not as if he was concerned more jokingly...my mother is heavy set ...she and our party thought that was rude and unnecessary...they both looked at her...i was going to bring it to there attention, but what good would of it done...so please address it....there were 2 gentlemen...one pushing my father which was a Hispanic male and the other was a black male pushing mother...the one who made the comment was the Hispanic male....and another problem was the airplane was very warm..."
Cons: "Because the flight to Houston sat on the tarmac for so long, no one was able to get food in the airport before boarding this flight. I was at the back of the plane and there was NO fresh food available once the flight attendants reached the last 6-10 rows. Unacceptable that there is not enough food options for all passengers. By the time I landed in Panama, I had not eaten for 13 hours."

Pros: "The crew was very friendly and efficient. They were extremely helpful with our requests. The entertainment was good, I was able to watch a movie the whole flight home."
Cons: "We were expected to land at 5pm and did not land until 5:20pm. Upon arrival, the line to immigration was ridiculous. The machines were super slow and kept freezing. It took an hour before we could get to the X-ray line. At this point we had already missed the original time of our flight. Luckily the flight was delayed 30 minutes. After going through the x-ray machines we ran to our gate only to find out it had been changed and delayed again. We made it to our flight which was now rescheduled to depart at 7:23pm. After sitting in the plane for 45 minutes we did not depart until 8pm making our landing 2 hours after the original time."
Pros: "The associate at the desk confused my flight for the next flight. I was given the wrong information and I watched my plane depart from the gate. Upon realizing that employees of that gate had left, and we're not coming back, I had to ask passing personnel about my flight to find that it left already and that I had already been rebooked without being notified. I now had to fly from Houston to Chicago to Nashville. The new flight boarded almost 2 hours later than expected, and upon landing in Chicago, I had already missed my connecting flight to Nashville by 35 minutes apparently. Unacceptable."
Pros: "We were early for our flight. The flight was canceled 30 minutes before boarding, with no reason. United handed us a card and told us customer service would help us. Although we were booked on a flight the next day, it was on AMERICAN with a connecting flight. We waited in customer service line for an hour, to be told we would get only a discount on a hotel for the night. Not 100% paid for. We then waited another hour to be told our bags were already at our destination. No food vouchers. Just a goddamned headache. Horrible."

Pros: "Nothing actually except it was on time.. I do appreciate being able to bring my little dog on board with us although it cost alost as much as another seat. Thanks for letting us bring her."
Cons: "You put us all in very back seats and I am clostifobac.. It WAS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE... LOuD AND NO RECLINING AND IN A CORNER.. OMG had to stand up most of way to keep from freaking out. And.. I HAD RESERVED MY SEATS..MAKES NO FRICKEN SENSE.. The tkt guy was rude when I told him I reserved our seats and now we are all 3 scattered everywhere alone. I think that's WHY HE PUT US IN THE VERY BACK BEING HATEFUL BECAUSE I WAS NOT HAPPY THAT UNITED DECIDED TO SEPARATE US FROM ROW I TO 30.. Also I am paying to bring my children to Mexico and I can't get points for it. Just sayin..."

Cons: "On my outbound flight from IAD to BRU my flight was delayed 3.5 hours because the "plane was late to arrive". Seems like this happens a lot on United flights. The staff at the gate of Dulles airport were extremely rude and difficult to deal with, which made it frustrating to try and figure out my connection situation. I missed my connection from Brussels to Paris and had to buy a train ticket for which I was not reimbursed by United. Then, on the way back from Paris, my flight was delayed 2.5 hours for the same reason. At least this time I had a direct flight. This entire experience makes me think twice about flying United again. I live in DC and it would be just as (in)convenient for me to go to BWI instead of Dulles for international flights, where there seems to be more options outside of flying United."

Attendant even went as far as saying "This is why I prefer working with first class" to his co worker, making reference about a passenger. And even went as far as saying "I really need a drink after this one" when the passenger overhead his first comment and asked him why he's being so rude to her family and no one else. Also didn't bring us or the passenger behind us any water when we asked, and when asked again, he rudely said "You will have to wait, can't you see I only have two hands. I haven't gotten to your row yet" which he had, and passed, which is why the man behind us mumbled to us, and we made a request too."

Cons: "This for flight to and from London to Dulles. You assign seats who are family or Husband wife separately, then when it comes to choosing a seat there no or very few options left. Your upgrade cost even for more leg room coach starts at over a $100 Even though we booked on Lufthansa, we were flying United. Food in the coach was below average and the Entertainment audio very poor. I am travelling soon again and would like a free upgrade this time and will rate your service accordingly. My travel plan this year is numerous."
