We had to de-ice the plane in Indy prior to takeoff. This delayed the flight and jeopardized my connecting flight in Atlanta. The crew was fantastic in keeping me updated and I made my co exiting flight.
Food was a bit mediocre, however crew was were very nice and seating was decent. Flight was delayed an hour and baggage was delayed about 45 minutes on arrival in Rome.
Heathrow transfer from terminal to terminal is horrible packing people and suitcases into City bus with seating instead of standing room only extremely poor. Then bus driver saying push in further when we’re jammed.

There were numerous flights boarding out of the same gates and at least 3 or 4 lines for different destinations forming on a ramp just outside the gates. There were guys with signs trying to herd people into the correct lines and then loading the people onto buses which took you out to the planes. The planes were loading from both the front and rear doors and people were getting tangled up inside because of the haphazard loading process. Very easy for a person to end up on an incorrect plane!!"

They also never communicated to the other flight that there were several passengers catching that connection. So by the time we had ran to catch our connection they had closed the ramp. Lightning hit again, and they shutdown the airport once again, so the airplane was still at the gate for about an hour, and they did not allow the 20+ passengers to board that plane, which was right there. So frustrating. The only thing that saved it was that our new flight was the new airbus, and although it left an hour and a half later, the comfort level was phenomenal."

After harshly grabbing my bag and putting it in the carryon basket to check for size, she wouldn’t let me pass by her into the boarding bridge and told me I was going to have to pay. I tried explaining that I had asked I’m SLC if I needed to check it and they had all said no and that it fit under my seat. She said, “I don’t care what they said in SL, this is what I’m saying here.” And directed me to the front desk where I had to pay $50!! $50 for a carryon backpack that fit under my seat comfortably 20 minutes before!! Without saying a word (cause I didn’t want to yell at the poor girl behind the desk) I paid the $50 and proceeded to enter the bridge but before I passed through, the rude woman said, “have a nice flight ma’am” and scoffed!! An audible scoff. So I’m short, I hate American Airlines and I will do my BEST to not have to fly with them in the future."

My husband went to ask for help in arranging new transport home, but he couldn't even get to the front of the line. The customer service was terrible. We really enjoyed our first leg of the flight home with American Airlines, but after the second leg and all of the problems we had... we will not fly with American Airlines in the future."

The check-in process couldn't have been worse. Besides they have no customer service to speak of, I wasn't able to purchase a 2nd checked bag prior to the trip, the app just wouldn't let me no matter what. I spent over an hour on hold waiting for a rep who wasn't able to help me. At the airport we politely asked the rep to help since we were unable. She flatly refused to do anything. When we asked to speak to a supervisor she said she was one of the most senior people there and if "We're still not happy she can give me a number to call where I can wait on hold for over 2 hours to be told the same thing I'm telling you now." Absolutely atrocious. First and definitely LAST time flying Allegiant.

My only real issue was that when I booked this flight through Kayak, I somehow booked via BudgetAir.com (though I was on your website.) Due to this, I was unable to access boarding passes coming or going via the Kayak app, or the Allegient app. Luckily I was able to print them prior to leaving home (and the resort printed them for on the way back), but using this site is definitely something I'll have to consider for my trip. I should have been able to access boarding passes electronically via the app regardless.

As we taxied towards the runway a lady who felt dizzy coming on board threw up. The crew was obviously panicked and unorganized. We taxied back to our gate and waited for LA Fire for. to escort the ill lady off and clean the area. While waiting to taxi out the second time the flight attended, Tyeesha, was very rude to an elderly gent. He was seated in an exit row and she didn't think him capable. The lady on the aisle of my row volunteered to switch and Tyeesha' s response was a sharp, "Do you want to pay the higher price too?" When the lady next to me said she would gladly pay Tyeesha announced loudly that this discussion was between the two of them and everyone else needed to mind their own business. The lady offering to switch was really embarrassed, as was the elderly gent. Someone else was made to switch with him. They looked disgruntled too. In the air all the flight attendants were sharp and very direct. There were no please or thank you's used. Trash was collected silently and mostly with pointing. The armrest to my left had five flavors of chewed gum stuck to the side of it. My lap tray had grey and yellow sticky stuff on it and I chose to hold my food rather than let the two touch. The floors were untidy. The only reason I will ever fly Allegiant again is if I have no other options. It is 60 minutes closer to my house than SLC and I will be making the drive from now on."

Her flight was missed booked to leave after mine, I attempted to rebook my flight with Luthansia but they would not let me me even partial rebook. I attempted a number of times to rebook the flight but their solution was extreme financial gain for them when more reasonable alternative could have been arranged. They canceled my entire return flight and left me stranded. I had to piece together a return flight on a shoe string budget. Thankfully American Airlines was understanding for it appears Luthansia and United are not."

Messages over the loud speaker where not clear and very unprofessional almost as if were were on a ride at a carnival. A family of 3 were seated separated and the flight and were lucky enough to have another passenger trade seats and the staff yelled at them it was very sad. Also i was charge and international charge on my credit card for making and international purchase needless to say i will never purchase another flight from spirit"

Upon arriving in Florida- Spirit staff was rude, would not answer questions, provide info, or help us get on new flights- we were only put standby and as more and more flights were cancelled without reason- I was told I would be stuck in Florida for 36 hours. I had to buy a ticket on another airline to get home after waiting 14 hours for Spirit to help. I was so upset, missed work, tired, and overall let down with their lack of compassion or even kind concern for the issues."

Cons: "Continuing on from SJO, I missed my connecting flight from FLL to DEN. I guess Spirit didn't mind that 15 passengers were in the same position I was in and didn't care to delay the flight to make sure we had some extra time to catch the flight. They prefer to hold up the ticket agents with irate customers trying to get home. There were 1 or 2 helpful staff members, but the supervisor (Karen, employee ID 66314) that we were asked to speak to decided to hide in the back and use messengers to relay notes to us. When she finally showed her face she still didn't address the passengers directly, even after we were told our flights can be rebooked, but any issues regarding accommodations need to be addressed with the supervisor. I finally tracked her down to speak to her, but demanded that she speak to us after we speak to a desk agent, which we did, and still took some convincing for her to finally address us. I was trying to represent the group, that was looking to find the same answers. Bottom line, no accommodations and not even an acknowledgement of an error or any sympathy. Worst flight experience. You can thank Spirit Airlines staff's incompetence and utter disregard for my never flying Spirit again."

The machine was broken at the check in but no one told us that would make us ineligible for check in pricing. Everyone was aggressively unhelpful and even rude at every turn."

We bought ours ahead of time for $46 and our bag was over-weight by 8 pounds which cost us an additional $30. Our seats cost us an addition $25 for an EXIT row. Definitely worth it if you don't want to be crammed in tightly. A soda was $3 for a can. I was just about expecting an additional fee for the seat belt! Oh well. So we paid an additional $215 in addition to our tickets (for two of us)."

There was no one at the kiosk at the gate to answer questions about when the flight was taking off so everyone was just sitting around kind of clueless. You had to pay for all snacks on the flight, which I didn't mind, because I understand it keeps the price down. The plane made a lot of odd noises that I've never heard before. When we finally got to the terminal, they told us there was "bad news" and that we couldn't get off the plane because they were having an issue attaching the walkway. This happened the last time I flew spirit. Unfortunately I don't think I will be flying with them again, regardless of the lower price."
Pros: "Took 2 hours to get my bags in FLL, but don't know if that was a Spirit problem or airport. Spirit did not tell us which carousel, so all the passengers roamed the baggage area, ground crew were no help. Check in both airports was terrible, took over an hour in line and I had all my paper work ahead of time. Spirit got me with the $9 club....sign up and get reduced baggage prices....in the fine fine print you find out it really is $59 and not $9, with no refund to cancel. This was my first and last Spirit flight."
