Pros: The crew was nice
Cons: There was no inflight internet
Pros: The flight was great in every way except passenger adherence to mask wearing.
Cons: On a short flight, people do not need to be served beverages or snacks that require them to take off their masks.
Cons: Alaska is great I love theM
Pros: The crew was very attentive.
Pros: The male flight attendant was awesome. Didn't catch his name but he was super funny, witty and charming. The female flight attendant was equally wonderful. Just a wonderful crew. A great flight home after a perfect weekend getaway with a good friend who really needed it.
Cons: Not much, really. There wasn't a sink in the lavatory on that particular aircraft, I guess due to size or some tradeoff consideration. There was antiseptic lotion though. Not a huge deal. I'm always not too crazy about how coach airline seats are designed, so nothing great there either but that's par for the industry so I can't single Alaska out. It was pretty solid all around. I really like Alaska in general. Somehow my seat selection for my initial flight from Portland, OR to Oakland, CA got clobbered and I got reassigned to the last row and couldn't recline my seat back much at all, which was annoying seeing as I purchased me and my buddy's seats way in advance. I put some time and effort selecting two aisle seats next to each other so that we could shoot the breeze on the flight down which didn't get to happen, and his seat selection remainded intact somehow even though I was the one that bought the tickets, but I've already lodged a complaint about that so I shouldn't really go into that here. The flight back from Sacramento was tip top actually, so really no complaints. 9.5 out of 10.
Pros: Crew was amazing.
Cons: Flight was delayed, boarding was a little messy.
Pros: Crew was nice enough. Boarding was easy and allowed pre boarding for kids up to 5years (other airlines do only up to 2 years).
Cons: I had come off a long international flight with 2 small children. We had a lot of luggage, which was checked all the way through to our final destination (Portland). No bag drop for Alaska in the international terminal then Alaska would not let me check bags back in for another 3 hrs
Pros: Alaska is a great airline.
Cons: Free food would be awesome.
Pros: Good communication re: the delay, comfy seats, super friendly gate staff, great free movie selection
Cons: Not sitting at the gate on the plane for 2+ hours:(
Pros: The crew was good, boarding was on the right time. It was a good flight.
Cons: Only if there was free entertainment and free food.
Pros: When I arrived at check in I did the whole kiosk bit and got my boarding pass. I had a question so I spoke with the nice woman at the counter and she got me a roomier seat ( I’m 6ft all legs). It was actually a mini upgrade that included a free drink and snack. Free of charge. Do things like that even happen anymore? Considering I had just been through a death in my family and was mentally miserable ( she had no idea) she must have picked up on it. BEST FLIGHT IN YEARS. Thank you. Customer svc is everything.
Pros: Great crew as usually
Cons: Hated ORD
Pros: Chargers at every seat, ability to text in air, excellent in flight entertainment options, great food options at reasonable price
Cons: Crowded, middle seat
Pros: Chargers at the seat, in flight entertainment
Cons: The taxi and wait to take off, but not necessarily the airline’s fault
Pros: I missed my initial flight to Portland and people with Alaska immediately booked me for the next flight out. It was incredibly reassuring to have their help and patience. Even when there was a mixup with seating, the stewardesses took care of me and made sure I had a seat. Thank you Alaska, you made it right.
Pros: Had the chance to watch interactions with boarding attendants and other passengers and flight crew. Was always very informative and friendly to passengers, flight crew and ground crew and always seemed informed on what was going on. Flight was great and stewardess' were super friendly and helpful.
Pros: The crew were very friendly, and gave the kids extra cookies!
Pros: The crew were great, security at the airport took over an hour to get through so I arrived at the gate 10minsbefire takeoff. The crew were great in getting me on board and checking my luggage was still there t
Pros: Nice movies Comfortable seats
Cons: Noisy air con Seat not reclining Headphone jack not working No storage space
Cons: I didn't make it because the flight to LAX was late and despite being told by an Avianca employee there was a later flight from LAX to PDX (at 11:45 on AlaskaAir) which I would be put on, once I arrived I was told I was on a 6 AM on Delta with no arrangement to get me a hotel or anything. I bought a separate ticket on that 11:45 flight on Alaska Air to PDX instead. Extremely unhappy with this service and will never again use it. I will also tell everyone in my social circles, in person and online, to stop using it.
Pros: Very friendly flight crew
Cons: Flight was delayed. In flight entertainment on tablets is less than convenient.
Pros: Good customer service and comfortable plane
Cons: Sat for an hour before take off.
Pros: Usb port to charge your electronics!
Pros: On time did not have to wait long at all for luggage.
Pros: I love the upgrade option to Premium class and the snack box that comes with it is great! Staff was friendly and efficient.
Cons: Only one thing: when using the kiosk to get my boarding pass and upgrade, it doesn't specifically state to insert and quickly remove my credit card, so I'm waiting waiting waiting and nothing is happening and I start over and still nothing, so I go wait in line at the desk that solves problems only to learn that small detail and then the clerk said he couldn't take care of it for me and sent me back to the kiosk! What a pain! I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to. How hard is it to put clear instructions on the screen? please and thank you!
Pros: Crew was very helpful and entertaining. We left about 5 minutes late yet arrived early. 2 rounds of drink service and cookies for about a four hour flight. Tablets available for rent as well as wifi. Would fly Alaska Airlines again
Pros: check in at ohare was super easy. Also no security line. Friendly Staff.
Cons: After push back we waited for about half an hour before we moved to the runway.
Pros: I was in first class so that's the better experience. I would have been even unhappier in coach.
Cons: Seat, despite being first class, was not comfortable I asked for a blanket before takeoff and was told there aren't any on board. No blankets for an 8 hr red eye??? No pillow either. Flight attendants never asked if I wanted another beverage after initial service. It was an 8 hr flight. The first class meal was a tiny cheese plate. I was starving. For a $900 1 way ticket, I expect more of this airline Flight attendants seemed like they didn't want to be there. Wasn't feeling the love. it was a 12:30am flight. We are all tired, but c'mon. Smile a little.
Cons: The flight that I booked is from Omaha to Guangzhou, but you guys gave me the ticket shows that there has one stop by Canada, and I don't have the ETA so that the stuffs wouldn't let me get in the flight and I can't make my trip on time! I don't think that is my bad because as a customer YOU( this APP) should be able to let me know I need to get the ETA to support me stop by Canada before I book the ticket from YOU GUYS, and I don't know that, so that I can't get in the flight which is make me feels really tough! And I know that it is not just happen to me but also it happen to other people, there has some people has the same problem as I do, so I don't think you guys should do that! DO NOT sales us the ticket that can't let us get in the flight! As a public APP. You guys should make the notes when you sale the ticket, say" there has a one stop by Canada, IF U don't have ETA, pls don't book it!" Let the people know so that we won't get any trouble OK?!?!
Pros: The crew was fantastic! I was on my way to my bachelorette party in Portland and they were so sweet, congratulating me and even giving my friends and I free drinks! I would definitely fly them again! LOVED IT! :)
Pros: The prices were decent and the personnel at the airport check in counter were friendly and helpful. The flight was short but it was nice to have the seat-back chargers to recharge my phone.
Cons: The onboard crew seed a little stiff. They were very selective - the two flight attendants in first class & coach - with whom they greeted good morning / hello. I watched this from my seat in disappointment. I needed to ask for a seat extender as I'm currently recovering from surgery and needed a little room around the bandages and I had to ask several times even though there was not a lot of pre-flight activity. They were standing around in the aisle. I make note of this type of behavior because I fly frequently for work on a variety of airlines and this is my first experience with Alaska Air.
Pros: The customer service got us on the next available flight. Didn't charge us for our baggage (which they could have). Staff were helpful and realized that we were bone tired (after being awake for over 30 hours). Flight was easy. Crew was nice. Easy access to baggage when we got to PDX. I love Alaska Airlines!
Cons: Nothing. They got it all right.
Pros: My flight took off and landed at the correct airports.
Cons: Flew from Seattle to Reno. Originally booked on a flight from Seattle to Portland and Portland to Reno. After I checked in, I saw a direct flight to Reno, and Alaska was able to switch my flight for only $25, but failed to get my luggage on the correct flight (with over an hour before my flight left), so I still ended up waiting at the Reno airport for two hours until my originally ticketed flight came in with my bags. What would have been an awesome experience became a miserable one, with the bonus that I paid extra for the treatment.
Pros: Flight on time. Great service
Pros: LOVE the free WiFi for messaging.
Pros: Free movies!
Pros: On-time....Just a typical flight
Cons: No food served in flight even if it is dinner time flight. May be i am expecting too much as i took this as connecting flight after my 2 international flights. No entertainment. Common TV for 3-4 rows and video was stopped after 1 hour.
Pros: Smooth take-off and landing. More leg room than American.
Cons: The plane leaving Chicago was delayed, causing me to worry that I might miss my connection at PDX...which ended up not being an issue because that flight was over an hour delayed.
Pros: Flight crew
Pros: Ground and in flight crew was very friendly.
Cons: Flight was 4 hours late because of a suddent issue with the designated pilot's health but then they also gave me a good discount coupon.
Pros: First off Bonnie at the boarding gate was phenomenal , She has an amazing disposition ( especially at 5:00 in the morning ) she greeted each and every customer by name and with a smile ! Our flight was delayed for 2 hours as we sat at the gate while problems were fixed . The Captain made sure he kept us informed as each problem occurred and was fixed . The rest of the flight crew remained patient and attentive , which of course kept all the customers onboard calm and patient as well . My daughter just moved to Seattle and if this is the norm for this airline I will continue to use them for my future visits ! Elizabeth
Pros: Due to the bad weather, the turbulence was terrible. However, the flight attendants were nice and their job were very efficient.
Pros: We arrived half an hour early! Bags on time.
Cons: My initial flight was at 0800; I got to the gate before 0800 and was told I couldn't board the flight even though it was still at the gate and was still before the flight time. I had to pay to rebook my flight, spent over $200 in rides to and from airport, had additional parking fees and was several hours late to work. I have many family members who work in flight service so I understand that employees don't like to re-do paperwork; however, being there before the flight time and being denied cost a lot of work time and money. I have always had great experiences with Alaska so this one was quite a disappointment compared to their usual great service. :(
Pros: The flight and crew was enjoyable and did what was expected. The pilot even oborted the landing when he should. I think that is what we as passengers should expect. For the weather it was a good flight.
Pros: The flight crew supplied plenty of drinks throughout the flight.
Cons: Those seats are just never comfortable in economy class. They need lumbar adjustment.
Pros: I liked mostly everything. I sat near the back and there were multiple bathrooms. There was complimentary Starbucks coffee (regular and decaf). The flight attendants spoke clearly and were attentive to the you boy, probably 6, who was sitting next to me and was traveling alone. The seats were as comfortable as it gets on a plane and then bam! Surprise, the head rest bends on either side forming a protective cocoon so that your head doesn't slide forward constantly while you doze off. THAT was my favorite part about the flight. The pilots were ahead of schedule, the flight was smooth. Overall, awesome, comfortable flight.
Cons: The only thing that stuck out to me personally that I didn't like, were the food choices. The options were all finger foods. When I'm on a plane, I don't like multiple things on my seat back tray so an option that came in a bowl/on a plate and with a fork would have appealed to me more.
Cons: The plane change in LA was confusing & not very clear.
Cons: Crew is overly aggressive when enforcing masking policies, to the point of making it feel like I was a prisoner on the flight.
Cons: There was a family with kids climbing all over the Sears. Would have been nice if the crew reigned then in a bit.
Cons: Never flying with Delta again
Pros: Arrived in PDX 15-20 minutes early.
Cons: Social distancing on the seats
Pros: The crew and seats were both great
Cons: HAving live TV would have been great.
Pros: The two people who were in charge of boarding the plane were especially nice, efficient, and accommodating. I really really liked them.
Cons: The flight was too warm.
Cons: Food was terrible. Paid for first class, expected something better than coach. Our food choice was a ham sandwich, there were better choices but the crew took them for themselves so nothing left for the 1st class passengers. Similar situation on our eastbound flight the week earlier. I doubt if Delta knows or cares that this occurs. After paying more than twice the coach fare, we expect something better than a ham sandwich on a coast to coast flight.
Cons: More communication on the flight delay
Pros: New long haul service is a real improvement in quality
Pros: Great entertainment
Cons: We just boarded pretty late for apparently no reason
Cons: Vegan options
Cons: More leg room and seat width. I don’t like having other passengers pressed against me.
Pros: Just fine, beverage service was friendly.
Cons: The entertainment system was out the entire flight. The flight attendants were just talking to each other as we left, even when I tried to say thank you.
Cons: Seat assignment with Economy ticket.
Pros: The best
Cons: Again the boarding process took forever
Pros: Crew ok . Seat not so comfy
Pros: The crew was very friendly. Boarding was quick.
Cons: Seat size in Comfort+ was still cramped. The person sitting next to me(in the middle was a fairly large (height not weight) and his arms and shoulders were pretty much flowing into my seat( I sat by the window). Leg room of course was fine. Very cold draft coming from the airplane(window?)
Cons: Crew did not make passenger in front of me bring his seat back up for landing.
Pros: súper comfy and got a seat upgrade due to my status so i looove delta. always on time and super friendly staff awesome.!!!
Pros: Check in process & text updates were awesome!
Cons: My flight to PDX was quite bumpy so food and beverage service were impacted, which I totally understand. However, the fact that I was not served at all, does not sit well with me! They had to stop service with only a few rows left to go due to turbulence but rather it just being a delay in service, the flight attendants never came back to check on the customers they hadn’t served even when the seat belt lights turned off. I really enjoy flying Delta but not this time!
Cons: Change my seat when I was boarding. I already had my seat # assigned before boarding. Sat next to a man with a strong body odor. I came down with a sore throat last night so I was feeling pretty bad. Then to endure a long flight with that smell which made my trip very uncomfortable.
Pros: How does one describe spending 10+ hours in a metal tube approximately 18 feet wide at 30,000 feet with 300 of your closest friends breathing the same air while having the seat in front of you pushed back so you cannot adequately see the passenger monitor because it's too close to focus on as your knees are under your chin? Flying in "steerage" is not comfortable as humans get larger and airplane seats get squeezed smaller. Please unsqueeze! Cabin crew members were excellent. Other than that, Europe was great!
Cons: See other side.
Pros: On the fight back I had enough space; good service; fine food. Great trip. On the way to Amsterdam, I sat next to a very overweight woman and her body hung over my seat. I couldn't move around enough and I ended up with a trigger point problem which immobilized me for 3 days and kept me from sleeping at night. It was very disappointing, since this was a family visit trip.
Cons: See above!
Pros: Free wine and spirits and food really not too bad in economy Very large movie and tv show library - something for everyone Friendly cabin crew
Cons: Overhead bins a bit small on this older 767-300
Cons: At least one hour late
Pros: Attentive, respectful and nice crew, swift take off and landing and awesome views
Cons: Nothing. Everything went well
Pros: The crew at the airport was very courteous and helpful.
Cons: No food; not even offered water; I asked a Delta employee about our seats and she was very unprofessional (mind you I'm traveling with kids and my boarding pass said that seats were to be assigned at the gate).
Pros: I can’t make it in mexico city on tuesday, wednesday’s performance had to be cancelled and we need to pay the cancellation fee 11500 mexican pesos, please reimburse on the credit card
Cons: I can’t make it in mexico city on tuesday, wednesday’s performance had to be cancelled and we need to pay the cancellation fee 11500 mexican pesos of the studio and musicians
Pros: Flight was on time; captain was clear and funny.
Pros: Great entertainment, comfortable seats.
Cons: Middle seat with zero chance to switch.
Pros: Wi-FI available (although I didn't use it)
Cons: No direct flight in the morning, so had to take two connecting flights, and leave home very early in the morning.
Pros: Good drinks and movie selection
Pros: everything except in flight internet.
Cons: Gogoinflight hasnt woked as it said it would on any flight on any airline for a year.
Cons: The fact they wasted two days of my trip with my son travelling from the U.S. to China because they didn't know about transit visa regulations. And so far they offered a 75 dollar voucher for participating merchants. Unacceptable
Pros: The crew has a good vibe, makes for a pleasant trip
Cons: First time for me to have delayed baggage, made me think that somebody is not minding the store.
Pros: There were a lot of free movie options for a 6hour flight. The tv was new and had good definition. The food offered was quite substantial. The staff kept coming around with water and asking if there was anything else we needed. They gave free blankets. The lavatories were a little larger and more well lit than other airlines.
Cons: The seats did not recline for anyone on the plane.
Pros: on time
Pros: Food was OK, ice cream at mid-flight was my favorite thing. I liked the choice of movies. Drinks are also good but why not include pure cranberry juice? It goes great with vodka.
Cons: Boarding is ridiculous. Everyone who is not some kind of VIP is asked to line up and is treated like cattle. 5-feet tall woman holds above her head a sign with the zone currently boarding. Nobody can hear or see anything. Why not use the big LCD displays at the gate??? In the plane they had to restart the computer system as some TVs were not working and it took longer than they said. Toilets were kind of stinky and I could smell them from my seat on row 26. Blankets are way too thin for the blasting AC.
Pros: Left reasonably on time, arrived a bit early, able to find overhead storage for my roll-on, even boarding in Zone 3
Cons: Very tightly packed; minimal comfort for the flight.
Pros: crew was very respectful and kind
Cons: Flight was moved to a different gate, then delayed. We were given the absolute last seat in the plane that could not recline- not the seats I had selected before hand.
Pros: Attendants were cheerful and extremely courteous.
Cons: Legroom but that's because we can't afford 1st class. Hahahaha
Pros: Airplane was good, boarding was fast.
Cons: Did not have the fruit and cheese plate.
Pros: Entertainment is now free.
Cons: This was the fourth first class leg of our overall trip and the first three flights on Delta were great. The attendants were pleasant and even fun. I have allergies and requested a special meal on all legs. No problem on the first three flights. All attendants approached me to confirm my allergy and the special meal. They were very polite. But on this flight, the attendant didn't speak with me about it at all. She tried to give me the regular meal. When I explained I needed an allergy free meal (mind you this was first class), I was told I could not get it and got no apology or other accommodation. Her attitude was take it or leave it. I found this interesting since on two of the other flights an announcement was made about another passenger with an allergy to peanuts so no one could have them on the flights and the attendants were very concerned.
Pros: Ditto from above
Cons: Ditto from above
Pros: On time and very smooth boarding
Pros: Good service once I finally got on a plane.
Cons: The alternative routing after my missed connection was not good and would have resulted in a very long travel day on a comparatively ill-equipped aircraft. So I stayed in Amsterdam on my own dime to take the same direct flight one day later.
Pros: The flight crew was nice and polite. They served drinks and snacks in a timely manner while on the flight.
Cons: Flight was scheduled to leave early, the plane arrived, but they couldn't turn the plane around fast enough. We left the gat late, then pilot said we would still be arriving half an hour early. We arrived about 45 minutes late, and that was a problem because our connecting flight was due to depart now in 15 minutes. Lightning forced the airport to shutdown, which was great, we had a chance to catch our flight, but we were stuck in the airplane, and we couldn't get to our gate until the all-clear. I know this is not Delta's fault, but they did arrive quite late on a flight that, according to them, would be early. They also never communicated to the other flight that there were several passengers catching that connection. So by the time we had ran to catch our connection they had closed the ramp. Lightning hit again, and they shutdown the airport once again, so the airplane was still at the gate for about an hour, and they did not allow the 20+ passengers to board that plane, which was right there. So frustrating. The only thing that saved it was that our new flight was the new airbus, and although it left an hour and a half later, the comfort level was phenomenal.
Pros: The boarding agent took the scattered seat assignments of out party of six and got us all co-located - of her own initiative. I really appreciated that.
Cons: Book seats together for parties traveling together.
Pros: Crew was friendly and nice
Cons: Absolutely no covid regulations in place, completely packed flight, boarding was horrendous everyone going in at once
Pros: Crew was good
Cons: Seating sucked, did I say sucked. Greed never give the customers that pay your bills better comfort and leg room. Greed greed greed. Scumbags
Pros: waited for us. We were late from Yuma
Pros: Fast boarding
Cons: No real headrests on the seats. Not very comfortable.
Cons: The head phone jacks were loose so watching a movie was extremely difficult. The aisle is so small you can’t even walk down it without bumping people who are seated. It seemed like none of the crew wanted to be there.
Cons: The flight attendants were friendly, watched a movie, thanks for the ear buds to listen to the movie. There was a lot of turbulence but I feel our pilot managed it very well bringing us in safely and smoothly as possible. I can't think of anything that could have been improved on.
Pros: On time, crew was nice.
Cons: Seats are too tight. Board from the outsides in, not front to back. Windows seats in the back go first (after first class, ADA, etc), and fill the cheap seats back to front. As it is, literally everyone with an aisle seat ends up on first and overheads fill before people have a chance to know, requiring a lot of against-the-flow foot traffic and delays pushing away from gate.
Pros: Nice stewards
Cons: Gate agents crabbie
Cons: communication prevented me boarding my British flight, rerouting done by american, had paid reseved seat don't know if I will receive a refund. now have to spend my first few days back home going through the delayed flight to europe protocols.
Pros: Good crew
Cons: The boarding process was terrible. The boarding time changed every 5 minutes
Cons: Inflight Wifi was spotty
Cons: boarding time, delayed for 3 hours
Cons: Cabin temperature
Cons: Need to have handheld device to watch entertainment. Terribly uncomfortable. Delay getting out of Dallas.
Cons: the bumpiest, harrowing flight ever
Cons: No gogo WiFi
Cons: I had very bad emotions sickness from London to Dallas TX. After I got on the plane I asked one crew member if I have any chance to switch the seat to sit by the bathroom because I am very sick, but seems no one cares. They said there is nothing they can do and tell me to get back to my seat. The whole fight I was sick. It was a horrible no crews member were asked me how I felt. No crews member checked me if I were ok. I had fever and so sick. There were late. I never have any bad fight like this forever.
Pros: Good service in-flight. Pretty comfortable seats and decent in-flight food/beverage options.
Cons: Crew was slamming overhead compartments before take-off and would ignore questions from passengers. Late take-off, very late gate change and late arrival. No help from crew on the plan to get bags taken care of so boarding took forever.
Pros: Nothing - except getting my seat upgraded from the 'claustrophobic zone'.
Cons: Having to wait 5 hours for the flight as my FRA to DFW flight arrived late. I had been up over 26 hours already and was struggling to stay awake prior to the flight. (My day didn't end until I'd been up more than 32 hours.) Crew from the late arriving flight should have announced the connecting flight delay well before landing at DFW. The flight should have been held for 20 minutes, as it appeared that the majority of the passengers affected were able to clear customs and arrive at the gate in time. Headphone jack had a very poor connection. Plane was dirty.
Pros: Crew was nice and professional.
Cons: Freezing, one hour wait on the tarmac before takeoff meant one hour delayed arrival. No TVs in seats, no meals on six hour flight.
Cons: Had terrible seats with no reclines and near the bathroom. They charge extra for better seats, they should offer something in return for below average seats.
Pros: The pilot was very apologetic about being delayed but we were able to catch the flight because it was delayed for about more than 2 hours.
Cons: It was cold in the beginning of the flight. We were delayed at the first flight and when we got to the gate there were no one available at the gate to check us in. We had to go to customer service to get on board.
Pros: Flight crew was pleasant and efficient. Everything was on time.
Cons: Cramped seats with zero leg room.
Pros: Got to see The Shape of Water from DFW to PDX in advance of the Oscars! Nice clear image and sound. Thanks American, you've upped your game from a few years back!
Cons: My check in bag it’s lost got wrong boarding pass even when I told them I had electronic boarding pass on my phone. Really disappointed with this.
Pros: The employee who checked me in was very helpful - found my frequent flyer number for another airline and give me a free checked bag.
Pros: Everything, crew, plane was clean, service was better than the previous international flight. Nont
Pros: I liked the way the Pilot (Captain) addressed the passengers before and after the flight.
Cons: The wait at the customer service counter in the terminal at LAX.
Pros: Nothing. Had a family emergency
Cons: I had a family emergency and had to buy a ticket to Pittsburgh to get home instead of going to Portland.
Cons: American completely missed the mark. AA did not successfully change our reservation when the initial leg of our trip was delayed by an hour due to a fuel issue, which caused us to miss your connection in Chicago. Since American partners with Alaskan Airlines, American should have changed my reservations with regards to Alaska Airlines, but they failed to do that. I stood at the Alaskan Airlines counter as the plane left the gate with our empty seats because there was not a ticket. American Airlines did not change a reservation successfully and so although we had boarding passes with our names and seats and the flight number, the plane left without us. I was stranded and Seattle airport at midnight with a child and an infant with one diaper and one bottle left and it was a terrible experience with American Airlines. I do not recommend flying American they cannot get it together when problems happen with delays.
Pros: The agent at the desk helped seat us together after our disastrous 1st flight. Crew was friendly & upbeat, great service.
Cons: Old plane No entertainment No place to plug in/charge devices.
Pros: I slept the entire duration.
Cons: Delayed flight out of Paris caused missed connection in Dallas.
Pros: Efficient boarding. Decent communication during delay of previous flight (delay of 4+ hours), friendly and helpful crew on the delayed flight.
Cons: Dirty plane. I had to clean my own seat with a wet wipe and some paper towels. Previous AA flight delayed by 4+ hours causing a missed connection.
Pros: Flight attendants were polite and friendly during beverage and snack service Seats were clean and recently reupholstered
Cons: Two people got removed from the flight for seemingly no particular reason prior to departure, and looked quite unhappy although there were no strong words. Very small seat pitch Long delays for maintenance and runway Annoying ads for AA credit card over the intercom prior to landing No USB ports
Pros: Comfortable first class seats for a regional airline, although no food or entertainment. Flight attendants were great, very friendly and they checked up on us often. On time departure and early arrival. American Airlines has always been great for me. Will be back
Cons: No food in first class, but it was only a 2 hr flight on a regional
Pros: Boarding was very quick, they called the groups quickly with no lag time in between.
Cons: I think this was the most cramped airplane I have been on. It was so uncomfortable and I would think that they would take this into consideration since it was a red eye flight.
Pros: The trip was on time and with no issues flying. I really enjoyed the ability to watch a movie...this was AWESOME!
Cons: Wow, the seating was VERY tight and I was happy for the TV screen in front of me to keep me busy. All the inflight interruptions on the movie I was watching.
Cons: Only airline we flew that didn’t have pre boarding for families with small children.
Pros: We did not take this flight when its schedule was moved back, instead taking one LHR-SEA that would get us home at a reasonable hour.
Cons: The change by British Air in flight departure/arrival times. The resulting adjustment was costly and we were unable to get "extra" seating on the long leg of the trip by the time we were notified of the changes.
Cons: There is no legroom in coach. I am six foot seven and my knees cram against the seat in front of me to the point my legs go numb.
Pros: No individual screens to watch. Get with the times for long flights !
Pros: Amazingly, the flight wasn't full and the stewardess let my wife, 2 month old son and me have the last row.
Cons: Entertainment on AA is sub-par
Cons: I don't know if I need to contact american airlines directly or what. But this is the 3rd flight that has been delayed with no reason given or for whatever the reason was tonight. Its obsurd. I booked a flight on Alaska Airlines specifically because american airlines had the issue of delays. Then come to find out, the flight WASN'T on Alaska...but its affiliate. It would be really nice to get some answers.
Pros: We moved due to job change and American would not work with us to Change a reservation.
Pros: Wrong airline, sent me to wrong gate, almost missed the flight. If I wasn't lucky enough to need a wheelchair, I would probably still be in Phx! Not happy at all, to say the least. I had to grease the palms of about 7 different wheelchair pushers. A bad day all around.
Pros: On schedule and met all my expectations.
Cons: No complaints.
Cons: Boarding seemed extremely unorganized. Crew skipped group 2 when calling groups to board, resulting in a mad rush.
Cons: Cleaner. On time
Cons: Better snacks ...maybe nuts
Cons: The boarding process
Pros: Liked the option of multiple snacks rather than being restricted to pretzels.
Cons: The seat cushion was not very comfortable--like it was squished from having been sat on several too many times.
Pros: Boarding, service, staff attitudes, on time and deplaning
Pros: The WiFi didn’t work although it would charge you’re credit card.
Pros: The plane had a nose problem so we had to wait for maintenance when we are a seated. Only took about 15 minutes for the okay and paperwork. That was amazing.
Cons: Passengers bringing their luggage on the plane when I had to pay $25.00 to check my bag. That is backwards. It also slows down on and off time.
Cons: Chicago O'Hare was a nightmare. Hugely crowded, flights kept getting moved to different gates so hundreds of people were milling around, or just standing around. Not enough room to line up to board. I will try to remember not to go through there again on a Friday evening. Disappointing also to have 4-hr flight without movie or entertainment.
Cons: United didn’t allow on-line check-in, wasting my time and theirs, forcing Basic Economy passengers to be checked in by a person. Won’t be flying United again.
Pros: Comfortable flight. Got an economy plus seat at Silver level. Middle seat was empty. New interior in airplane with power outlets and mood lighting in cabin. Free movies available on network. For a short flight of this duration, a very comfortable atmosphere.
Cons: Boarding process was chaotic. Gate staff didn't seem to be announcing boarding groups. I like how American has a promotion with T-Mobile for 1 hour of free wifi internet, which United doesn't.
Cons: Delayed flights need to hold connecting flights and assist customers to the correct gate! Don't bother paying extra for Econo Plus....where do you store your bag that goes under the seat? Do you think the crew could help you? Probably not....
Pros: Great to get a low faire on a short notice.
Cons: Flight attendant was very stand offish and never smiled. Towards the end of the flight when I tried to give her an empty water bottle, she rudely said "No more trash." Not very friendly at all.
Cons: The gate changed, the United App did not update and we did not look at the flight status board upon arrival as we were relying on the United App. Ran all the way to the 'old' gate (90) only to realize b/c we heard something over the loudspeaker about a flight to Portland at Gate 60 (we had just landed from IAD right near that gate). Looked at the board and realized the gate had changed, had to run all the way back to the other gate and it wasn't boarding yet. When I mentioned all this to the gate agent, she told me i should have checked the board & refreshed my app...i refreshed my App 6 times and it still didn't update - i'm not an idiot but she made me feel like one. She had no sympathy and was not nice or helpful. When we got on the flight, realized it was empty and we were sitting WAY in the back when there were plenty of open seats, so we moved up thank God!
Cons: No early checkin by email so no opportunity to select seats Ended up with middle seat to Portland Not my favorite
Cons: Hot cabin
Pros: Everyone associated with ensuring customer satisfaction are to be commended.
Cons: Not Applicable....................................
Cons: No entertainment to speak of.
Cons: 1. The flights within the US and Canada was delayed. 2. The United Airline staff in San Francisco told me to pick up my luggage when I get to Seattle despite of the fact that my final destination was Vancouver. I questioned the staff about this ata this seemed odd, but he insisted that I pick up my luggage in Seattle. Upon arrival to Seattle I went to the baggage claim area to find out that my luggage was already put through to the connecting airline to Vancouver. This resulted in me having to go through a long line of passengers to do all of the security checks again to enter the international airport gates. This almost resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Vancouver. The only saving grace was that the flight was delayed by another hour. 3. Changes made on my connecting flights were only given to me during my check in at Auckland. My previous booking was Auckland -San Francisco - Portland - Vancouver. The boarding pass I was given in Auckland omitted Portland and was changed to Seattle. I was never informed about this by United Airlines. 4. United Airlines website NOT allowing me to log in using my e-mail.
Pros: We finally was able to get home after a long ordeal with customs, tsa and airlines.
Cons: Why are schedules so tight and then late which we had to go through long long lines at customs and tsa then run and miss our flight. Plane was there but they weren't let us on. Lufthansa put us up for the night. How do old people make their connections ...ask for wheelchair assistance?
Cons: That the flight was canceled without my notification, that United Airlines customer service team was extremely unhelpful and assumed that I could afford to pay for my luggage and a rental car because I missed my connecting flight (which I could have driven to if I was given proper notification that the connecting flight was canceled).
Pros: The staff, especially the male flight attendant, watery knowledgeable, professional, and went out of husband way to make everyone satisfied.
Cons: The televisions breifly went out of service during my return trip from Denver to Des Moines. The issue was resolved promptly, but on such a short flight I was unable to use the service.
Cons: Never got to do this flight because of the previous flight which is reviewed below: My seat was broken and wouldn't stay in upright position. This really pissed off the passenger behind me. Crew kept telling me to put my seat upright, I kept having to tell them the seat was broken. Old airplane with no in-seat entertainment. they advertise on the seat that you can watch all their entertainment content for free, but then you have to pay for wifi to watch so it's not free then, is it? Every movie or show requires "additional software" so you have to purchase internet to do the download. This is an 11 hour flight, I would have appreciated being able to watch a movie or something without forking out $30. Flight was delayed, so we were low on time to make our connection. I asked a flight attendant twice if we could get help deplaning early or at least get moved up some rows since we were in the very back of a 747 (there were plenty of vacant seats). They said no, and told us that customs would only take a minute and that the other united flight knew we'd be coming and would wait. I don't usually fly united; other airlines typically will actively take steps to help (like moving connecting passengers to the front shortly before landing) if they are the cause of the delay. Customs had only one agent working and we were pretty much last in line so that process took over an hour. Just moving us 10 rows forward before landing would have made all the difference because our connecting flight closed its doors and taxied for takeoff less than 5 minutes before we arrived. They had some united employees guiding and directing a couple of passengers that were going to be late for a connection to LAX, but no help for those of us connecting to portland. Customer service didn't even offer a verbal apology. Last time I flew with united, I also had a terrible experience for different reasons. I did not intend to fly united for this flight, but I purchased tickets through and for Lufthansa, and this flight was regrettably operated by united. Another thing I don't like - the food was horrendous. It was a breakfast sandwich that was advertised as "hot and fresh" on the packaging but was served straight from the refrigerator. I was in the middle seats with one person to my left and two people to my right. Everyone took only one bite and threw away the rest. Just don't bother serving the food if it's going to be that bad, it's very wasteful. I always appreciate a hot towelette after a long overnight flight. United offered no such thing which was a first for me. Regarding boarding: they called us all up to line up in boarding groups and then we had to stand in line for 65 minutes. I have a bad back and had to sit on the carpet to avoid being last in line and not having space for my carry on bag. Would have been nicer if they would have just let us sit in the chairs at the gate in comfort until they were ready to board.
Pros: The older planes of United Airlines could use some remodeling. The entertainment system with controls in the middle of the arm rest where the elbow rests is such a bad idea, didn't even bother with this crappy unintuitive system. It was annoying and flashy with bright advertisements or something popping up on a night time flight just sooooooo annoying, turning it off was not intuitive and had to ask the flight attendants how to turn it off during their very busy work of handing out packages with five miniature pretzels and drinks to the passengers, was happy to get a whole cab of juice to myself though.
Pros: The crew was courteous, the pilot was the best one out of the 4 flights I had taken that weekend.
Cons: We used to get more for our money. 20 minutes isn't enough time to use the restroom and find and eat food after hauling from one terminal to another on the light rail. Then we are given a mystery snack mix and a drink, I remember we used to get meal service for flights that long. Boarding was very confusing for people in groups 3, 4, & 5 as we were all grouped in one line. Group 3 was called and 4 & 5 tried to board. A simple PA saying that group 3 should be in line first would help the confusion. The lady performing the boarding call was rude. Saying "I don't care I will just take thier bags and check them, they don't have a choice". That's a great way to start an argument. Then the seat pitch is awful, I'm not the only person flying that is over 6ft tall. My knees were directly impacting the meal tray arms of the seat in front of me the entire flight. Shorter flights weren't bad, but sitting on the ramp waiting for takeoff for at least 30 minutes plus the flight time was pretty painful.
Cons: Delayed by 6 hours
Pros: The crew and flight staff were friendly and professional.
Cons: The seats are very narrow and crowded and the seat backs do not go back far enough to provide any additional comfort. The 1.5 hr flight only had peanuts or pretzels for a snack
Cons: Delayed flight made me miss connection and lost my bag
Cons: Upon approach we were suddenly deverted to Seattle. I had a few issues. Number one you could not hear the pilot so that made it worse. The lack of communication was horrible. I have been on flights when there has been clarity given a change in plans but this was bad. We sat at the gate for an hour and a half, again no real communication, the fligh attendant t hope was joking when he said there was a half a bottle left for the whole plane...much later we were served water. Announcements were made but no clarity. We were told to collect baggage at number 2. Get a voucher for a hotel. After deplann9ng about 25 of us stood in line at the customer service desk where there were two staff working slowly. Then after an hour they announced we were in the wrong place, couldn't that have been explained earlier? Once we made our way out of the terminal to the ticket count the line was all the way down the hall. still with little info we waited. We landed at the alternate airport at 945, at 130am I had my vouchers, the food not useful until the following day, the hotels were full, no one picked up the phone for the shuttle bus to the hotels. I finally elected to sleep at the airport on a bench. We had actually all been reassigned a flight on our same plane. So I am not sure why we had to wait in line all that time. Our bags were not removed from the plane an irritated baggage claim attendant told me. It was a mess. The flight the next morning was fine, short, without problems for me. united needs to work on its communications. It would have been helpful to have someone out side running the line giving out info. And at customer service they should have been paying attention to their line. Would have been helpful.
Cons: The problem w this flight is that the plane departs from ORD. So even if the weather isn't a problem, if there's a problem w the plane they will fix it at ORD. Needless to say the propensity of that happening causes delays.
Cons: Bad cancellation policy. I would've been charged over $200 to cancel a single leg of my journey (no other changes or add'l flight). Would not do business with United again.
Cons: I was just disappointed that this leg of my trip my seat didn't have an outlet to charge my phone like my first flight. My phone was very low on battery life so that annoyed me. Your planes are older looking than some other airlines I take.
Cons: The gate agent was awful. Took my bag and caused me a great deal of pain. No flexibility to accommodate my severe back pain. The gate agent was inflexible and incredibly rude. I will never fly united again if I have the choice.
Pros: Good communication and polite.
Pros: Excellent as expected.
Pros: The crews everyone was caring, respectful, and professional. I don't see anything to improve, they are that good, including the pilots!
Cons: I can't think of anything really.
Pros: Same as above...was put on a direct flight on Alaska. Luggage arrived later in Portland but delivered professionally to my home that afternoon.
Pros: Smooth flight, on time!
Pros: nothing. United sucks.
Cons: 5am flight was cancelled. rebooked for a 3:30 pm flight. that flight was delayed due to mechanical issues also, and then cancelled. Thank God for Delta! Rebooked on a delta flight at 5:30 and finally got out of moline!
Pros: United always is superior to other Airlines once up in the air
Cons: We flew standby and United had problems with their first flight to Portand from San Francisco causing an overbooking situation. This the second time this year I have experienced this problem We literally were the last two people on the flight and it was very stressful as were meeting other family members to drive up to Seattle.
Cons: I am 6' 5" and my wife is 6' and we are both thin. She had the middle seat and I had the window. There was not enough leg room and we were squeezed in shoulder to shoulder. This was for the flight from San Francisco to Portland.
Cons: The refreshments should be better than a tiny packet of pretzels.
Pros: online wifi.
Cons: I was a little disappointed that I was unable to finish my movie on the first flight. And when I tried to finish it on the connecting flight, my movie was not among those listed. :(
Pros: Crew was really great. Border on time. Very good overall.
Pros: We left on time and got in 40 min early, direct flight, crew was friendly
Cons: Seats were smaller than usual flights, no window seats left when I checked in, under seat leg area small, the TV was repetitive and no music options, if there were plugins on the flught!, they were hard to find. No free WiFi for T-Mobile in flight texting, standing in line while waiting to board after walking all day...the boarding took ages and people kept cutting (first class, disabled?)...it'd be nice if the crew acknowledged why people were taken out of order like "okay, first class you're all set!" Or "thank you for your service" so we knew it wasn't 20 people randomly jumping the line.
Pros: The crew on this flight was maybe the best crew I've ever had in a flight. Extremely friendly and personable.
Cons: Wifi and entertainment was not available I this flight
Pros: Eplenty of leg room. Very nice flight, no complaints, nothing I didn't like
Pros: Kind staff, no issues with flight.
Cons: Everything costs money on top of the tickets I purchased. To compete with other airlines they are going to have to start including food, baggage, and entertainment for free especially on international flights.
Cons: Show all the upcharges in checkout, like paying for even a purse
Pros: Cheapest flight but your interface does not show all the up charges for basics like seat selection or a CARRY ON. If you book spirit you see these options
Cons: Be upfront abput all the upcharges and let people select what they want in the checkout process vs finding out at the airport. no on travels without at least a purse and they charge for that. Spirit does the same but you know that during checkout. Had no idea frontier did this with your interface
Pros: They got me here.
Cons: Comfort, crew, entertainment, etc
Pros: Boarding was quick and painless.
Cons: Better seating arrangements. They announced that we can change boarding passes to new seating but only after scanning our boarding passes. Then said No way because we already boarded.
Cons: the flight was cancelled and never re booked.
Cons: The flight was cancelled and we were only notified once we reached the airport. I will never fly Frontier again.
Pros: That I made it there in one piece.
Cons: Not worth saving a couple dollars. Front tier airlines does not allow you to pick your seats before hand nor does it allow you to select baggage and the app, it is recessed for whatever reason. The seats are extremely tiny the tree table is so small you can barely fit an English muffin on it. There is no entertainment whatsoever, there is no Internet on the plane, and if you want anything to eat or drink besides water you will be paying for it. I’m sorry to say but flying on frontier was more like a punishment for me. I always fly American and wanted to save a few dollars what a mistake! With American most the planes that I have flown in have free movie entertainment and everybody seat the seats are comfortable And recline. And the snacks are free along with the soda. Please think twice before flying frontier.
Pros: It was a safe flight
Cons: The flight was initially delayed 1 hour early in the day and notification was sent out. The flight was delayed again later in the day and the notification was sent out but not so promptly. An announcement was made at the gate that the flight was further delayed because the flight attendants had to clear customs. The flight attendants showed up about 30 minutes later, carrying bags of food from the resurants in the airport. I understand the flight attendants need to eat, but our flight was delayed prior to their landing and this added an additional delay. In total my flight was delayed about 2.5 hours.
Cons: Frontier seats are minimally padded and do not recline. It's difficult to sit in them for more than a couple of hours. Our 3.5 hour flight turned into a 7 hour flight after being unable to land because of storm conditions, circling for over an hour, and being rerouted to land at another airport for refueling before finally heading to our destination. It has been a week and our backs are still bothering us. We flew Frontier because it looked cheaper but after paying for luggage, seats, and food we would have been way better off to have flown on Southwest. We will never fly Frontier again.
Pros: Nothing was positive while using Frontier Airlines
Cons: Everything was pretty unpleasant: 1.) hidden baggage fees ($45 round trip would be one thing for a CHECKED BAG, but $90 collectively for the round trip is FRAUDULENT) Especially when most airlines don't charge for carry on bags or it's at least calculated in the final cost. At first when I booked this trip with FRONTIER $180 for my tickets looked like a decent deal, UNTIL I WAS TOLD AT THE COUNTER THAT I HAVE TO PAY $45 each way for a FRIGGIN CARRY ON BAG!! turning my reasonable and anticipated $180 trip turned into almost a $300 (NEARLY doubled my cost!) had I known I could have at least packed more into a checked bag for that price. 2.) my flight was delayed 4 hours on my outgoing flight, cutting into my personal time off and no compensation or even a kind gesture like a free McDonald's sandwich when you land...you guys really have poor quality and seem like you don't really care about the paying customer 3.) staff seemed clueless and didn't know how to answer customers questions as to why our flight was delayed!! 4.) mechanical issues with plane were the cause, or at least that's what the copilot or captain Just HAD TO MENTION TO US RIGHT BEFORE TAKEOFF, causing everyone to stir and raise eyebrows. 5.) to top off him mentioning the mechanical issues they were having with the plane the flight was rough..I've never been more tense or anxious on any of the other 30+ flights I've taken in my life. Pilot didn't seem to know how to handle turbulence.
Pros: The price and schedule choice
Cons: They try to trick you into buying other things and speak in a condescending way on the website. There's no entertainment not even a magazine. The seats which are super ridiculously tight don't recline and there's no cushion for your head. You have to pay $3 for a soda and the batteries are so small you can barely fit which is great when there's pee all over the floor. The outbound flight was delayed over an hour with no explanation and perfect weather. When I asked for more water in the tiny cup, she poured it half way. I guess they are really trying to save money. Makes me wonder they took shortcuts on safety to save a few dimes.
Cons: All the the hidden fees from the baggage to seat selection. No snacks or drinks were provided unless bought individually and the cost for the flight wasn't any cheaper than our flight up on United, which included everything at no additional charge. The customer service was awful and though we arrived at the airport over an hour and a half early, we almost missed our flight because checking in a bag was chaos (despite having checked in online the day before). There were no forms of entertainment on the flight, not even airline magazines, which made for a very tedious 2.5 hour flight in less than relaxing seats.
Pros: The seats were spacious
Cons: When I went to check-in for my flight and get my boarding pass, the Frontier employee at the counter asked if we had paid for carry-on bags online. We said no and she looked at our bags and said we were fine. When we got to the gate however, I was stopped and told that I needed to pay for my bag. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I explained that their employee at check-in told us we did not need to pay for a carry-on. They still forced me to pay AND tried to charge me the gate price of $60 which I refused to pay. If they were going to charge me for a carry-on, they should have made that clear at the ticket counter where I would have paid $45. They were incredibly rude about it and it seemed like a scam they had planned out to try and get $15 more out of passengers.
Pros: We were amazed by the initial cost of $120 round trip ticket
Cons: The dates of our event changed, so we needed to adjust our original booking. The change cost $100 per ticket to change, and additional fees on top of that. We have taken on all of the extra fees for the change, and now there will be bag fees and whatever else we run into on the day of travel. We accept the fact that some fees are normal for change of itinerary, but it feels like we are getting nickel and dimed right now. This is what we were warned about from friends when we initially booked our "great rate"!
Cons: The flight was delayed 5 hours, and we were offered a $100 voucher that would be emailed to us immediately after the flight takes off. I approached the desk to verify with an employee pre-boarding to ensure I will receive this voucher. She was annoyed with me from the start repeatedly saying it will be emailed after takeoff, which was NOT my question. My question was to verify that the email on file was correct. She had a very hard time getting this to her head. However, it has been over a week and I have yet to receive this voucher. Unless, I receive this voucher I will never recommend this airline.
Pros: The crew was fabulous. Basically any actual person I talked to was lovely and pleasant.
Cons: I mean, I understand that it's the goal of the company to sucker consumers out of every penny they can, Frontier is just very in your face about it to the detriment of the overall experience. Throughout the online check in process there was an endless stream of popups asking if I was SURE I didn't want to pay more for a carry on, to choose my seat, etc which made the check in process very tedious and frustrating. And doing blatant things like making the "yes I want to pay more" button huge and basically trying to hide the "no thanks" button. As if customers aren't going to see right through that and get annoyed? (Their cost benefit analysis really didn't account for happier people being more willing to pay for extra things) Also, when my flight home got cancelled it was almost impossible to get a hold of a real person to talk to. Since it was due to weather conditions Frontier had an announcement on their website about what to do. Which...had a convenient link to requesting a refund but no instructions on how to go about re-booking, just that it was theoretically a thing they would do. When I called their customer service I was met with a recorded message about how they're overwhelmed with calls (understandable) followed by same message that was on their website and then...nothing. They ended the call. No option to speak to a person, no "you'll need to wait an hour for someone to be available", no menu to flip through...nothing. Frontier just very obviously doesn't care about customer experience (other airlines/companies at least have the decency to pretend). You'll get an adequate flight pretty cheap (provided you didn't want to bring a significant amount of luggage or eat/drink on the flight) that will get you from point A to point B. Just don't have any expectations going in.
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Frontier Airlines Lost My snowboard bag. No electronic system to track bags means you must rely on their human communication, and this is terrible. I can't believe they haven't invested in this type of tracking system....its 2017!!! Very bad customer service. No communication or mis communication on status of lost bag. Really they have no idea where it is. Promises to deliver lost bag at certain times and never do. Took time out of my day to stay home and wait for bag between 12pm - 6pm as they asked. Never showed up. Never called to say they wouldn't be showing up. They did this to me 3 times! It's 1 week later and I still don't have my bag. My ski trip was completely ruined. I've flown domestically, internationally, and I have never felt so uncared for as a customer. Tales of this terrible airline were told to me before I chose it. I can't stress this to any future potential customer. Choose another airline. Not worth it no matter how low the price is. Hidden baggage fees and terrible customer service will get you in the end!
Pros: Likely the most uncomfortable plane I've ever been on. Seats feature zero padding, the inability to recline, and a tray table the size of a DVD case. I'm 5' 9" 148 pounds, young and very healthy. I left the plane with a twisted up neck like I've never had before. I landed safely so I MUST be thankful for that, but if I was booking I would want to know this information. Since I'm the wiser now I will not book with Frontier again. Also it was an extra $90 for my CARRY ON round trip. It notified me it would be extra when I booked online but didn't specify how much. What a surprise. I spent more on the fees for the bag than I spent on the bag itself (and most of the contents for that matter).
Cons: The price was good, before you realized the price was a lie and they scam you by charging $45 to carry on or $40 to check a bag! That meant the overhead space was unused and they were just charging more just to be inconvenient. The plane was stripped barebones. The crew were rude, did not smile, and gave me attitude for hitting my elbow with the drink cart. They charge for even getting a soft drink. Nothing about the experience said "we're serving you." It's worse flying a more expensive airline because the rediculous bag fees make it just as expensive and even things that should be free like pleasant staff were lacking.
Pros: It was SUPPOSED to be a round trip. I arrived at LAS an hour before departure, and tried a kiosk. It advised me that I needed to see an agent. I get in line. 19 minutes later, I am informed that even though the plane is still at the gate, I missed the 45 minute deadline, and cannot board. The agent will not help me to book another flight, but gives me a paper with an 800 # on it. I am told that all of the next days flights are sold out. I managed to get a $287 flight t 6 am the next day, on a different carrier. When I arrived at Ohare for the return leg, I was charged $40 , for my carryon. When I expressed my displeasure at the charge, I was told that Frontier was a low cost operation and should not be surprised that I would pay more for extras. My response to that is "When did customer service become an extra, for which I should be charged?" I have found your corporation to be an overpriced low service airline, a soulless company intent on squeezing every cent out of each transaction, while providing even less than the bare minimum to the sucker who buys a ticket.
Pros: I really liked the brand new and updated Airplane. The fit and finish was quite nice and the electronics and lighting were nice.
Cons: The crew was poorly trained in virtually all aspects of their duties. They had no coordination among themselves and ran around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. One attendant yelled at a passenger at one point. They kept turning the lights on and off abruptly and made a HUGE deal about throwing away the trash because otherwise they will get stuck doing it all. The intercom system was also abused as the attendants made, at times foolish announcements, with a different attendant speaking almost each time. One would almost yell while another would speak very softly. The intercom system and speakers on this plane, particularly from the cockpit, when the captain spoke, sounded like it was from the Vietnam War era. For a brand new airplane, this was a disappointing shortcoming in the technology. We experienced excessive turbulance for the majority of the flight as well. I do not know if this is something the pilot is able to overcome but on this flight, it certainly was an issue as i almost had to vomit from all the very abrupt and excessive motion. I would not rate this as one of the better flights i have been on.
Pros: I actually like that you cannot lean your seat back. It's too imposing on the passenger behind you.
Cons: They charge extra for everything. Every seat has an extra charge except for the middle seats in the very back row. Once you've paid for your seat and for your carry-on bag(!), you've paid as much as you would have flying with Alaska, American, United, etc. There was no entertainment whatsoever on a 5 hour flight (not even for purchase) and no snack provide either. I believe there was food for purchase but I didn't even look at it. Also, they do not support TSA pre-check. This would have been something the representative I called should have informed me of but instead she told me she had updated my records. So in addition to the fee gouging, their staff are either uninformed or outright dishonest.
Pros: Crew on the plane was super nice and cared for us.
Cons: Check in process was HORRIBLE. I initially showed my military I.D in order to check into my flight. All U.S Navy service members that are attached to a ship have a sticker on their I.D that states their ship and department. The lady that was assisting me accused me for having a fraud military I.D as the sticker ONLY hides what branch I serve in. She accused me for hiding information on my I.D as she tried taking the sticker off as I need that sticker to get on and off my ship. I was also accused for not looking like my military I.D picture. That picture was taken during boot camp as my head was completly shaved and I had no facial hair. I obviously grew out my hair and had facial hair as I was in a leave status. I was not required to shave for the duration of my leave. She also asked why I was not in uniform. The lady assisting me failed to realized that active duty members do NOT have to be in uniform every second of their waking lives. She did not believe I was in the U.S Navy and was super disrespectful. I just gave her my Illinois I.D to avoid any other trouble. I'm not a confrontational person so I just tried to avoid creating a scene in front of everyone. She was not wearing a name tag so I called frontier to make a formal complaint. I will not be flying with frontier anymore. Thank you.
Cons: We landed in Denver and landed a little behind schedule. The flight was below average as the pilot was navigating in "bad" weather. It was not even raining. Once we landed the pilot continues to get on the radio to tell us we would be sitting for 10 minutes. After over an hour we finally moved to a gate. Now that we are over 1.5 hrs after our schedule time frontier took over another hour to get the bags to baggage claim. This is embarrassing for a company that is inflexible in changing flights, charges you to pick a seat, charges you to check a bag, and charges you to carry a bag on. They should return all their customers money from this flight I will not be flying frontier again.
Cons: Arrived well before the flight to check bag which I paid $35 (highest rate for check in bag yet-compared to other airlines). Took over an hour to check bag as there was one person checking bags at DIA. The other employee was assigned to the customers who had paid a premium fee. Many of the customers left the long lines and went to curb side to check their bags. When I arrived at gate, flight was delayed. I got on the plane and into my seat. Unfortunately, I was not paying attention and sat in 8F, not 8E. There was a woman and her daughter who came on late and they gave 8E to the daughter. Moments later a woman, came and asked me to show my boarding pass. I took out my phone but forgot I had switched it to airplane mode as we were due to leave. In a full flight, the woman (Robin), started telling me that I was on the wrong flight and that I was on the later flight. I couldn't bring up my seat assignment because I was frazzled and embarrassed as she insisted I get up and leave with her. I thought we were going out to check my assignment, but when I got out to the gate, I realized that the plane was leaving. Robin and the crew realized they had made a mistake and told me the only thing they could do was get me on the 10 p.m. flight out of Denver. Never have I been treated so poorly. All someone had to do was ask my name which did not happen until I was totally humiliated as I struggled to get off the plane and was out at the gate. I was reimbursed my flight and was given a check and a $15 voucher for dinner which didn't cover my dinner. I took the later flight and arrived home at 0100 a.m. My husband had to come home from the coast (2 hour drive) to take care of our dogs who were waiting for me to come home to feed them and get them out of the heat.
Pros: Boarding was quick.
Cons: Flight delayed due to "changing of aircraft "- we taxied off the runway over an hour late. Nothing like getting to the airport early and then waiting even longer due to the airlines mistake. The plane was disgusting- food and crumbs all over the floor (not exaggerating). Add to that Frontiers extra charges ($40 for a carry-on and anywhere from $5-25 for choosing your seat) and no drink service (not even a water) offered to us- it was terrible. Thankful it was a short flight and we were safe but for what we paid and the delay factor l wish we would have just drove. While l now know to do my homework ahead of time, Kayak should list airlines that do not include at least a checked bag with the price.
Cons: I've always been dedicated to Frontier but am quickly losing hope. They gave our gate away to another flight that was 3 hrs late. While boarding that flight, the gate attendant announced the Captain was on the wrong plane so passengers deplaned and started over. Our gate changed eventually. When arriving, our gate wasn't ready, and the crew had difficulty pulling in. We had a 2 hour delay with 40 minutes waiting for our baggage. Very poor communication. We found out more info on line than at gate. This was coming home. My story getting to Chicago on Frontier was as bad if not worse. Many other stories were being shared as well. Sad to see an airline that fought so hard to survive treat their loyal customers like this.
Pros: The flights went fine, and were mostly on-time, just a little delay leaving Chicago because the incoming flight had to wait for a gate to open up
Cons: Frontier's customer service line is horrible, with no clear option to reach a person to ask questions of without hunting through every option. Also, they charged me to pick a seat, ANY seat, so what the hell am I paying for when I pay for a flight?! I also had to put my backpack under my seat, even though it was stated numerous times on their website that it would be too big, and I had to pay $40 to make it a carry-on, when there was no room in the overhead bins. Their customer service line AND website stated I could be charged up to DOUBLE that ($80) if I had to pay for it at the gate. I looked it up, and I would have payed less on at least two other carriers because of the extra charges. This is information that should CLEARLY be stated when listing the costs of a flight, not "covered" under "additional costs may apply" or some such legalese
Pros: Not much.
Cons: The flight was delayed for over three hours. At destination (Seattle) the Link Rail system was closed and I had to pay $50 for taxi service. This was an unplanned expense. I can forgive issues with planes and reasonable delays but there was little or no concern about leaving passengers stranded at the airport. The $50 discount on a next flight with Frontier (which won't happen) is of little use. I would have appreciated some help with getting to my destination and room accommodations. Do you know how hard it is to make arrangements at 2:30am at the Seattle Airport. No food, no ride, and had to get someone to let me into my room early in the morning.
Cons: Frontier charges for everything including snacks. The cost of the flight was actually more expensive after factoring in baggage fees, snacks, and charges to select my seat.
Pros: We arrived in Las Vegas 20 minutes early.
Cons: 1.) We sat on the runway in Vegas for 15 minutes waiting for a gate to open. 2.) They charged me to select a seat. 3.) They charged me to CARRY ON a bag ($45!) 4.) They don't participate in TSA Pre-check 5.) There was no organized line-up for each separate boarding group. 6.) I was seated next to a baby that screamed for 3 of the first 4 hours flight time w/o flight attendants doing anything to help the dumb-ass dad who neglected to bring a freaking binky w/him! I guess maybe I'm just spoiled by the FAR SUPERIOR service of Southwest Airlines. Last time I let someone else book my flight on another airline!
Pros: Middle seat was empty
Cons: The delay. No food. No apologies
Pros: The room between seats in the cabin.
Cons: Our flight was delayed 2 1/2 hrs. We were told we would be updated every 15 min. Not! Finally a plane was coming from 2 terminals away. It took over 45 min to get to our gate, with no updates every 15 min. Emails updating our flight status reached us as we were on board the airplane. Not helpful. We reached home at midnight when we had planned to be there by 9pm, in order to shop before Sunday. Even though we weren't in a time crunch to arrive, my time is obviously not valued by this airline. I will make every effort to NOT fly this airline in the future.
Cons: Extra fees for everything. Worst seats on any plane flown. Delayed with no explanation.
Pros: The pricing of the flight was great in comparison to other airlines, the flight was also on time and a bit early arriving to my destination. I did do my research prior to flying with frontier and noticed that many other travelers have complained about the added costs; the airlines website states that you have to pay ahead for baggage and carry-on's prior to arriving at the airport otherwise it'll be a lot more expensive there. I paid for luggage each way, no carry-on during this flight but did choose my seat ahead of time as well as I was traveling with my husband.
Cons: The bathroom was not clean and smelled terrible - this should definitely be looked into as airplane restrooms are pretty gross already (also being pregnant, the smell was even worse). You don't get a complimentary snack/drink on the plane light other airlines but the ticket was about $100 cheaper than competitors so it wasn't anything to really complain about.
Pros: New Planes.
Cons: Flight was 55 minutes late to board.
Pros: Not a full flight so I had the whole row and it had plenty of leg space. Overall smooth process.
Cons: Charging for picking a seat and carry on luggage is ridiculous.
Cons: Baggage drop lines were unbelievable. Foreign travelers were in the same line as domestic. There were only four agents to handle 100s of passengers. When I checked in online, to select a seat I had to pay an additional fee and then was also charged for my carry on bag which increased my fare by $68. In addition they do not participate in TSA precheck which further delayed my security process. Although I had allowed plenty of time (1 1/2 hours) to drop my bag and get through security by the time I got to my gate my flight was already boarding. Additionally you are charged for everything on the flight even water which for a 3 1/2 flight is ridiculous.
Cons: Was at boarding gate A36..which is what the big board said to be at..my ticket, as well. Waiting with 100+ other passengers at gate..watching Netflix out of boredom waiting on plane. 15 mins past departure time..I go to customer service and they tell me its MY FAULT I missed the plane that left 4 minutes prior because THEY changed the gate to A32.. There was no change on the board..but they said it was announced. It wasn't made clear to those of us who thought we were in the right gate waiting. I was able to fly out until the next morning..putting a lot of plans I and others had in serious jeopardy. Your customer service agents have MUCH to be desired..very rude..taking customers that walked up behind me while making me wait on them to get their sh*t together. I almost lost the only flight available out the next day because they were chatting amongst themselves about personal problems!!
Pros: Nothing stands out as what I liked - the crew and boarding were average, so I guess not negative is good in this case.
Cons: I chose this flight because of cost but don't be fooled - you will pay for everything extra - seat selection, carry-on or checked luggage, even coffee or snacks, extra. The seats are absolutely terrible in my opinion, don't recline, limited padding, very uncomfortable if flying over 2 hours. At the end of the day, this was only like $25 less than another airline (american in this case) - and all the other airlines are much more comfortable and include those little things like carry-on, nonalcoholic beverages and snacks. It isn't worth it, use another airline!
Pros: The crew was nice and fun
Pros: On board crew was very nice and were very entertaining.
Cons: I've flown frontier before and I have never had a problem. Tried to check in for our flight 30min before it took off as we were running late. The rep who was working the desk (young female, approx. 20yrs old) gave us the worst guest service I have ever received. I did not understand why we could not check in, nor attempt to board our flight, although I understood it is our fault for running late. We did not need to check any bags as we were carrying them on. The woman behind the desk only kept saying you missed your flight and was very disrespectful when our friend tried to talk to her saying "I don't know why your even trying to talk to me, I told you I am done with you." I work in the guest service industry and have never been treated or talked to with such disrespect. I would have understood if she was apologetic and explained to us WHY we could not board or make our flight, compared to being rude and rolling her eyes constantly. I will not be flying frontier again I can avoid it.
Pros: On time on the way out.
Cons: Bought the ticket in Chicago because it was cheaper than flying out of Madison or Milwaukee. Even if I paid for a bus ticket from Madison to Chicago. When I went to check in it took 5 phone calls and 1 1/2 hours later. The reason for the call was the carry-on baggage charge which was astronomical and my question was is the $40 for round trip. Which it wasn't. Also, I was unaware of all the additional charges, seat, bottle water, soda etc. The biggest problem was no WI FI on board. I need to work while I was in the air for 4 hours. It took 5 phone calls because I couldn't understand the person trying to answrer my questions. I also couldn't check in because Frontier was not compatible with my IPad. Talk about getting frustrated. I had enough stress traveling for business. On the way back we were backing out to the runway heading to take off and the captain announced that he was turning around because a passage was vomiting due to overindulgence of alcohol. 45 minutes later finally backed out to take off. I barely made it to my bus. Thank god I can run fast. What a nightmare that didn't need to happen. It would have been way cheaper to fly out of Madison or Milwaukee. What really PMO was socking us traveler additional charge for so called peak time. WHO DO YOU THINK BAILED YOU OUT IN 2001? Your should be ashamed of yourselves.
Pros: The crew was courteous and professional.
Cons: After adding up all of the hidden fees with the "low cost" of the flight, it all came out to MORE than I would have paid if I had booked a flight with another carrier!. As ad DEPENDENT of an active duty military member, I NEVER have to pay for checked luggage, much less a carry on! Once I got over having to pay and additional $150 for luggage, I board the plane to find extremely uncomfortable seats with half of a tray table, all I could do was laugh. The joke was totally on me!!!! For a flight that was over 3 hours long, it was NOT WORTH ANY OF IT!!! I didn't do the research that I should have, and that is totally on me. Fool me once, but NEVER AGAIN.
Pros: The crew.
Cons: The crew was fine. At no time was I made aware during my booking that I would be charged for a carry on and or checked bag. The total cost added $205 each way for 4 passengers to my flight. I feel completely mislead. Customers also had to pay for water on the flight which was ludicrous. The cost of baggage went up ten dollars from what I was quoted when called customer service to inquire about the prices on preselected seat assignments the day before departure. The seats do not recline and are very uncomfortable. The flight was delayed by five hours and no food vouchers offered. I would not fly frontier again nor recommend to anyone.
Cons: The charges for sitting with the person I was flying with were unexpected as were the charges for the carry on baggage. I would prefer that the initial cost of the fights were indicative of what the flight would ultimately cost me so I could fairly compare them to other flights. On top of those pricing shenanigans the seats are smaller than average, do not recline at all and are generally uncomfortable and the tray tables are minuscule. I have told everyone I came into contact with during my trip and I will continue to tell anyone that will listen that I feel misled and taken advantage of by frontier airlines.
