Pros: "The flight was less than half full, first time in years I’ve had that experience. Everyone had space to be comfortable. Crew AND passengers were all polite and relaxed. Cheese and fruit tray was delicious. Free texting and entertainment for your own devices."
Cons: "It took me awhile to access the free entertainment available for our own devices, but then it was great, including Oscar nomination movies and wide variety of tv, documentaries etc"

Cons: "I had tried multiple times to get a seat at the ticket counter and at the departure gate...when I was finally able to get a seat there were no aisle seats available...that was not helpful as I am required to get up every 1.5 hours and walk around the cabin because of health issues Beverage service was once and no snacks..I am used to this so brought along some snacks but it would have been nice to have peanuts and not only a cold drink but then some coffee."

This was confirmed by Alaska personnel at ORD after exiting plane. Waited for 25 minutes. No bag. Inquired again with Alaska personnel at baggage claim. Was told bags were at carousel 5. Huh? Screwed up my evening plans."

Pros: "The turkey sandwich I had was made with actual sliced turkey, not deli meat. This was a treat for airplane food, and it wasn't very overpriced. It was also a very spacious, comfortable flight. The crew were very friendly and helpful. Alaska is definitely one of my preferred airlines."

After experiencing cancellations on other flights, this was by far the worst. The $150 cancellation charge on Alaska is unbelivable and the insurance KAYAK provided through Allianz was awful."

Cons: "Kayak a howed my gate as something that didn’t exist at the terminal. I went to a kayak help desk to have a ticket printed that showed my TSA precheck because it wasn’t showing on my mobile ticket, and no one was there to help. I waisted for 10 mins. It then took me nearly 2 hours to get through security. I asked if I could get through quicker and was told I could not, despite it being passed my boarding time. I then ran to my gate where I waited for another 10 mins (no one was there, again) and then an employee came out and said they couldn’t let anyone board once the door was shut. He then directed me to the delta help desk (there was at least 20 people behind me who missed their flight). I then had to pay an additional $75 to get a later flight. The whole experience was awful and I’m disappointed with Kayak and the gate confusion, but mostly Delta and the lack of customer service."

I'mover 6' tall and middle seats are painful, especially cross country. Airlines need to be a little more attentive to their customers' needs. If a passenger is taller than average, and the flight is more than 60 minutes, provide comfortable seating at no extra charge. If a customer has a short layover, which their system knows about since it is the sourve of the flight plans, put the customer toward the front of the aircraft since these flights are habitually late and customers end up having to sprint through airports to try to make connections."

Cons: "We had seats at first where there was what looked like bubble gum bits stuck on one of the food trays. The flight was clearly not cleaned although it landed 2+ hours before the departure. We had to ask for a wet tissue and clean it up. That was of no use too as it wouldn't scrub off. My wife was feeling under the weather and so we asked for a blanket. The blanket was hardly a blanket and more like a towel. We then luckily could switch seats as there were 2 vacant. But, the air conditioner was leaking water in the seat to our left. The crew was callous and just stuck the passenger with some napkins saying it does that. I don't fly Delta a lot and my experience in this trip isn't inspiring much confidence."

If you want to provide a better customer experience, equip all your planes with seats video screens. Passengers on a 4 to 5 hours flight don't want to have to figure out what do to watch a movie or TV. I don't fly American that often, but wanted to give it a try to see the difference between you and the other airlines. I have to say that on the return segment (ORD to SFO), I was not that impressed."

My leg was hurting a lot and the flight attendants had to find me a different seat because I could not stay there for 5 hours. I wouldn't have paid extra for this seat."

Cons: "But paying $8 for 30 mins of Wi-Fi is just outrageous. I did not, and will not ever pay that much for internet service. Additionally, my bag was asked to be checked at the gate. Mind you, my bag was a Airline Compliant design, that fit into the overhead bin sideways on the same sized plane going out to Chicago. If the flight were full, I would understand them being cautious about space, but the plane was barely over half full. It was just an annoying inconvenience."

Couldn't figure out wifi entertainment options from inflight magazine ( over 60) and staff too busy to assist ( though didn't ask - just could see they had their hands full with beverage service). Would recommend video instructions after preflight safety video for tech unsavvy travelers. Also reminder on reservation to bring your own headsets and electronic devices."

Flew back on Delta and didn't see any of this. Between this and their recent beating up of customers, no more United for me."

In spite of this, the captain decided to have passengers board the plane, and try to push our way up the line, so to speak. Well, once we were on the tarmac, the flight crew were told that the plane could not take off, and that we needed to wait there for 45 minutes, without moving, in our seats, with nothing to do. Even though it would still not have been ideal to wait 45 minutes at the gate, at least we could have walked around and could have entertained ourselves."

This was my second time giving United a chance as I normally fly Delta. I don't think I'll make that mistake again. I understand a late night flight doesn't have a meal service, but snacks of chips and bananas is not my idea of how you should serve Firat Class passengers. I would have a hard time recommending anyone choose United as their airline. Time for an upgrade of not just the seats, but overall customer service."

Would have paid for the movies and TV selections but I couldn't even hit submit when I swiped my credit card."

As a result, people line up 45 minutes before the flight in order to get on first so they can claim overhead bin space. There should be a better way to manage this."

Cons: "The flight was delayed for almost 3 hours for no good reason. The airline decided to assign a different aircraft, that's the only reason why. My husband had to go to work at 8am. We were supposed to land at 1am, instead we got home after 4am. On top of that Chicago airport had nothing open, only a Starbucks and we were starving. We also had a dog with us and he needed to have a bathrooms break due to the delay. Well we were told security was closed so if we excited the airport we wouldn't be able to come back in. So we went to the in-airport dog relief area, but a man that didn't speak English was cleaning it and told us it was closed. So what was our poor dog supposed to do in this horrible flight delay situation? It's just cruel."

Cons: "I was unable to print a boarding pass at one of the many kiosks - it informed me I needed to speak with a Frontier agent. The line for the agents was about 2 hours long, too long to wait to make the flight. After being told by a frontier employee that I'd just want to get in to the line to rebook on a later flight (9 hours later) I proceeded to speak with a momentarily vacant agent who, helpfully, printed and handed me my boarding pass. I arrived at the gate to a closed door and ended up needing to rebook anyway. I decided to just not go on the trip.... wasn't worth having to deal with Frontier 2 times in one day."

Pros: "For less than two tanks of gas, I flew from RDU to Chicago and back. It's a no frills airline, but everyone was nice, and I got where I was going on time. Can't really ask for more than that."

And when I went there twice, the woman hided under the counter after seeing me. I was shocked. The worker at Frontier was never professional and acted like a child. The service was terrible. I would feel okay if she could try to help me not to miss the flight. Instead, she had no willing to help me, and sneered me. I missed the flight so I had to buy a new flight ticket. I'll NEVER use Frontier anymore, and I'll recommend to people not to take Frontier. Workers' service is the representative of the company, and she was terrible."
