HHad to pay for even basic drinks No entertainment
Missed connection from LHR to INV, now sitting 8 hours at LHR waiting for the next flight. In a word, a disaster!
Crew was excellent. Left on time and arrived early
Plane was very old and incredibly hot. Uncomfortable all around. Plane was gross and falling apart. Barely able to sleep due to heat. Turbulent the ENTIRE flight.
BA cited computer glitch in London. Flights were severely delayed. Fortunately my connection was rebooked. Just minus 6 hours of my time.
Plane was new and very comfortable. Smooth flight
Flight attendants had to serve food/drinks, which they did the entire flight (literally, drink service took 2 hours). People got drunk and super loud. We were late leaving London which isn’t an issue except the people at the BA desk were the least helpful. We found out more from the pilots than anyone in the airport.
The entertainment was good. A lot of things to choose from.
The boarding took too long
The 2 hour delay due to the ground crew not having it together, this reason coming from the pilot. Flight attendant was complaining more than any of us passages. Even though 85% of us missed our connecting flights. After boarding the plane, the smell of the restroom, we all had to deplane.
1. Been lied to several times about the issue that prevented us from leaving the ground. 1st excuse was they needed to unload a passenger luggage, then they need to return to gate to fix one of the lights.. 3rd oh we really do not know what is going on...but yet they kept passengers in the plane..just gave as a cookie and a cup of water bc of the delay... UNACCEPTABLE
Chocolate ice cream and pot pies
To start, I had paid extra to upgrade to a seat with more leg room only to find I had been reassigned to the back of the plane. This was after I had already done an online check-in for the appropriate seat. Then I was told by the AA agent at the desk that my upgrade was in the system but that it was “fake”. Apparently the money I paid two months before was no good on this flight. I was traveling with my boyfriend and they would not allow us at the same counter because we were not married. After much haggling we were finally able to rectify the situation. Horrible start. Then, once on the plane, the in- flight entertainment system as well as the lights broke right before take off so there was nothing to watch or see for an almost 8 hour flight.
Our original flight was delayed then cancelled. After assigning to another flight, it was delayed and gate changed about 10 times and was finally cancelled after it was boarded and left gate after 2am due to engine problem. We had to cancel our trip since it was a short trip for a funeral and we had missed it. AA offered no compensation and no apology (not during the whole night of delays and cancels).
