There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky."

Cons: "Crew was rude, not just to me, but to other patrons. Flight was packed going and the man scanning boarding passes spoke to those of us asking simple questions as if we were stupid and defiant. Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."

I was in zone 4 and they only allowed zones 1-3 to stow carry on items that we had to already lug around the airport for hours. I was forced to check my regulation sized bag in the passageway to the plane as well as everyone else in my zone. Economy seat especially tiny and cramped. Unpleasant flight attendents."

Another thing that bothered me was the fact that I had to pay $25 for my suitcase! Really United! Am I not allowed one piece of luggage? I don't like carry my bags around with me so now I have to pay to check it! Shouldn't that be the other way around! Charge for carry on luggage, it's such a hassle and also slows down boarding time, cases congestion in the hallway with everyone reaching for their luggage in the overhead bins! I can keep going, but what good is it gonna do. United airlines suck!"

I then proceeded to get in my car and drive three hours to catch a connecting flight to Phoenix through traffic etc etc....only to arrive in Phoenix 6 hours later than expected. All of my evening business meetings, lost. Thanks United, you always seem to find a new way to screw it up."

They relieved their customers suffering then with complimentary water! Now that’s service. Frontier is one of the most base airlines out there. I’m entirely frustrated that they are one of the only airlines that service our podunk airport."

I do understand, however, that many of the issues were unavoidable, such as mechanical problems and missing mechanics, but it was frustrating nevertheless."
Cons: "I had a pretty unpleasant experience with Frontier on 12/21/15. Rain in San Francisco caused flight delays. Go figure. Frontier kept us waiting for six hours then cancelled the flight. They were rude; they didn't help their customers, including families with kids, get on other airlines; said they would try to getpeople out of SFO in the next couple days! When I realized I would not get to the wedding I was trying to attend, they siad they wouldn't refund my money' When I insistedon a refund they then said there would be a $19.99 cancellation fee. Eventually, they agreed on a refund. Pretty poor way to run a business. On the other hand, when I needed to cancel my Enterprise car rental, I was able to do it in less than two minutes over the phone - no hassle."

And they do let you pick you seat; I just didn't because I wasn't willing to pay more for that unneeded convenience. So all in all, a very good experience at a very low price last minute. What more could you ask for?"

The line was so long and slow it would have taken hours to talk to someone from Spirit. I called Customer Service and was on hold for 50 minutes before I could finally get refunded. This made me miss the last Spring Training game in AZ! I've been flying for 35 years and this was the worst flying experience in my life!"

I'm not sure i could have stood the seat much longer. i am only 5'1" tall and 120 lbs and I was cramped. I have no idea how a regular sized human would cram themselves into one of these seats."

Cons: "We landed in Dallas at 1 am, when we were suppose to land at 10:45 PM the day before. This was due to weather, and I know that Spirit can't control that, however, they PROMISED us that our connecting flight to PHX would be held for us. I would have understood if they said they cannot do that, but they promised us that it would be and then let that flight leave 10 MINUTES before we arrived. That makes no sense to me. Either hold the plane or don't, but why let it leave 10 minutes before we landed??? Anyway, I was then in the front of the line for information and was told that I could get on a flight to Las Vegas in 10 minutes and then get a flight to PHX later that morning, or risk not getting to PHX until 10 PM that night. They rushed us onto the plane and gave us a boarding pass for this flight and said that our boarding passes and hotel information would be waiting for us in Vegas. We landed in Vegas, and NO ONE from Spirit knew what was going on. It took another 1-2 hours for them to have our information sorted, and the only reason they had any customer service present was because a different flight had been delayed, otherwise we would have been alone at this airport with nothing set up. It was a really disappointing way to start a vacation."

Now keep in mind I only $69.00 dollars for the flight it self. The ticket agent was rude and threatened to charge me $100.00. The weight limit for a suitcase is 10 pounds less than the industry standard; I was charged another 25$, since ours weighed 48. Water, coffee and other beverages that are normally complimentary...another charge. You want to bring a carry-on item along with your purse/personal item...CHARGED AGAIN. All said and done, our tickets, with all of the extras came to $950; even flying Delta, with two tickets, one checked bag and two complimentary beverages would've been less expensive. While your competitors may charge more money initially for a flight, at least they are upfront about the fees/charges. I have learned my lesson and in the future, would choose to rent a car and drive to my destination before I'd ever fly Spirit again."
