Singapore has restricted entry and transit of all short-term visitors who are not residents of Singapore, Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, or Long-Term Pass Holders (including holders of Work Pass, Student’s Pass, Dependant’s Pass, and Long-Term Visit Pass).
Travelers who have been in the UK or South Africa for any period in the previous 14 days before travel, including for transit, will not be able to enter Singapore. Singapore citizens and residents are still able to enter Singapore.
Long-Term Visit Pass and Long-Term Visit Pass In-Principle Approval holders issued by ICA also need an Approved Letter for Entry (ALE) from ICA.
Student’s Pass holders and Student’s Pass In-Principle Approval holders also need an ALE from the Ministry of Education (MOE).
New and existing work pass holders are only allowed to enter Singapore with the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) prior approval. They are required to show the MOM’s approval letter to airline staff upon check-in and before boarding, as well as to ICA officers at the immigration checkpoint upon their arrival in Singapore.
Short-term visitors with an ALE from ICA, Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) or MOH may still enter the country. However, they may still be subject to health screening upon arrival. Having an ALE does not guarantee a Visit Pass to enter Singapore. Prospective short-term visitors seeking entry to Singapore must apply in advance for a ‘SafeTravel Pass’ at https://safetravel.ica.gov.sg/.
Spouses or children of Singapore residents or citizens who need to visit Singapore due to extenuating circumstances may apply for entry via the Ministry of Health.
All travelers entering Singapore, including Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, and Long-Term Pass (LTP) holders must submit a health declaration via the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) e-Service, at https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard, or the mobile app.
Airlines are requested to inform passengers at check-in and before boarding, as well as in-flight, to submit their health declaration via the SGAC e-Service prior to their arrival in Singapore. The paper-based embarkation/disembarkation card has been discontinued and is no longer distributed by airlines operating into Singapore.
Travelers entering Singapore will be tested for COVID-19 and must also self-isolate for 14 days at a dedicated Stay-Home-Notice (SHN) facility at a cost of $2000; travelers are responsible for covering all of these costs. During the quarantine, travelers will not be allowed to leave their room, and smoking may not be allowed in the facilities. From August 11, everyone aged over 12 who is in home quarantine will be required by law to wear an electronic tag for the duration of their quarantine period. The 14-day period cannot be reduced, even if travelers wish to leave Singapore.
Singapore citizens and residents who have been in the UK or South Africa are required to undertake 14 days quarantine at a government facility on arrival, followed by 7 days quarantine at their place of residence. Travelers will be required to take a COVID-19 test upon arrival and at the end of their quarantine period.
Travelers with an Air Travel Pass approval entering Singapore and who have remained in either Brunei or New Zealand in the last consecutive 14 days prior to their entry are not required to serve a Stay-Home Notice(SHN) but will still be subject to COVID-19 test upon arrival. If the test is negative, they can continue their activities in Singapore.
The SHN duration will be shortened from 14 days to 7 days for travelers with an Air Travel Pass approval entering Singapore who have spent the previous 14 consecutive days in Australia (excluding Victoria), Mainland China, Macau, South Korea, Taiwan or Vietnam and will be allowed to serve their SHN at their place of residence, and undergo a COVID-19 test at the end of their SHN.
Transit through Singapore may be possible depending on the origin and destination countries and chosen airlines. Transit passengers with recent travel to certain countries may be required to undergo a pre-departure COVID-19 test within 72 hours of their departure.

They also have some deal with fast food restaurants, Mos Burger and Yoshinoya so sometimes you can get their air version of the fast-food meals. I had Yoshinoya and it was pretty good. The entertainment was okay, the only 2 things I wanted to watch was John Wick 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but the movies change every month so it was probably a bad batch. Also free toothbrushes and toothpaste available on the plane and a self service snack area. Overall it was great."

The ladies at the front desk were very aware of my urgency and walked me threw the crew line and got me to my gate without a missed flight. I cannot thank you enough for the kind and generous work you do."

Good array of entertainment on offer but our flight was a 'sleeper' so after a fumble with the controls and the limited new releases, I opted to read instead. Seats are comfy and spacious, much wider than Emirates in the same class (who offer only an extra 1/2 inch width over economy). Amenity kit a quality piece that is both practical and useful."

Pros: "This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current."

Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why."

And I arrived the gate minutes before the departure time. They can’t wait?! If so, why is it ok for them to delay for an hour without any explanation not to mention apology? Sure there are RULES. Almost always the most shady, scammy and money hungry airlines who use ridiculous or ad hoc made RULES to set pitfalls for customers and ensure their profit gains by doing so!! Remember those European cheap airlines?!! They have tons of rules. You are set to fail even you have a smaller bags than some passengers who passed the gate without penalty. You are just unlucky – they set eyes to catch opportunities to rip you off whenever they can and whenever they are in the mood to be able to come up with lame excuses. With normal airlines, you realize your luggage which has been slightly overweight or over sized will be able to pass through without incurring any penalties. So any saying of rules are lame excuses and are shitty airlines’ lame excuses. The thing is good airlines will delay their flight a few minutes to wait for the passenger. If this is considered too needy of a requirement, then what happens next will shock you and reaffirm you how wrongful and shady this airline is. After missing the flight despite you arrived before the departing time, you have to purchase a full price ticket in order to fly again. As I declined to fly with them again since the ticket is too pricey and repurchased a ticket with another airline, they came up with an excuse that in order to release my luggage, they have to reissue a new flight ticket: so I have to pay both a luggage release fee and a flight ticket fee!!! What a gold digger Qatar Airway is haha. Luckily as I protested, they eventually didn’t make me to pay for a new flight ticket fee except a luggage release fee (really?). The sales office quoted a price of $250 to the luggage office. Then it took me a few minutes to get to the sales office. Strange thing happened, despite I mentioned the communication they are aware of, they are trying to find some “RULES” again to validate that I have to pay for an air ticket. I emphasized that is not the case. As I get irritated, guess what they did? They managed to come up with another excuse that in or"

Cons: "We avoid Air Canada and after this flight that will continue. First, they wanted $400 for the return trip to guarantee that my wife and I sit together. To guarantee that we sit together and that it would be safe for her 28in femurs it would be $800. Then the Orlando leg of our trip was delayed by two hours, guaranteeing that we would miss our connecting flight. They would not make arrangements prior to departure, nor would they respond to any enquiries from any of the passengers about their connecting flight arrangements. On arrival in Toronto, as we pulled up to the gate, they announced that they had found alternate connections for all but 4 passengers that we would get more information outside. There was nobody at the gate. There was noone at customs. We did not know if we had a connecting flight, or if we had to pick-up our luggage. Nobody from Air Canada gave us any information. We asked security at baggage if we should go on to connecting flights or wait for luggage and were only informed that once we leave the baggage area we couldn't return. When we got to the terminal entrance for connecting flights, we were told (by security) that we could not enter without a new boarding pass. THEY directed us to the line for Air Canada (no indication if we were in the right line, but other people in the line were in the same situation. We finally got to the counter and were informed that we were on the last flight of the night and given boarding passes. Thank heavens that my credit card has priority pass membership. Delays happen. The way Air Canada handles it turned a minor annoyance into a maximum-stress situation. We already avoid Air Canada because they took away almost 50,000 travel miles for not flying for one year. We will work even harder to avoid them in the future."

The LCD entertainment system is very slow to respond to touch. The default sound level is always too loud. The commercials take up the first 10 minutes (or longer) of the experience and make for an excruciating long wait."
