Cons: This plane was too full for social distancing. I was really skeptical about this flight as it relates to the COVID pandemic.
Pros: Crew was wonderful
Cons: This COVID to be over
Pros: Everything was amazing
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: The crew was good, and the airline tried to make our wait in the airport as comfortable as possible.
Cons: The four-hour delay was really hard. Since it was in DC, I don't know why it took so long to get another plane.
Pros: The crew on both legs of our trip were nice and accommodating.
Cons: The flight was delayed over two hours
Pros: Information communicated about delays.
Cons: - more communication (any!) about bag status when landed - flight delay due to too many/too heavy baggage. Long delay was said to be due to making sure our baggage would accompany destination. Upon arrival, bag was left in NYC but this wasn't communicated. No info on bag status at airport or via ema
Cons: First class seats were too close together. It was very difficult to get out of you seat into the aisle. Food was not what it should have been for 1st class There was no wall between 1st class and coach giving little privacy when I worked my laptop. it was in direct view of the middle seat in coach
Cons: Better accommodation for handicap passengers.
Pros: Clean plane. Excellent service flt DL0295 our flight attendant (Nancy, sorry didn’t get her last name) was fantastic.
Pros: Very good
Cons: Seat assignments should have be provided at check in.
Pros: The crew was dealing with NOVA/DC residents
Pros: Didn’t like security. They were rude
Pros: Coming from Europe Alitalia and Delta did an EXCELLENT job at assisting the passengers get rid of their luggage just as soon as we were done going through customs... I don't usually fly on this route, but I thought it was perfect. Transfer between Delta terminal was a breeze too...
Cons: I usually don't fly from JFK. The food court was expensive (18 dollars base price from a burger seems a high even for an airport. I don't fly from NY normally - so maybe I need to tune my expectation for the locale, and it may have NOTHING to do with the airline company.
Pros: Departed on time. Very courteous crew.
Pros: The service is very good from the beginning. The flight attendant is very caring thanks so much.
Pros: Short and easy
Cons: The aircraft is too old, MD-88. I don't know how Delta is flying that type of aircraft. Is very risky
Pros: Another safe flight. Crew was very attentive.
Pros: Boarded fast
Cons: Woman next to me with crying baby didn’t care that her baby’s head and arms where pretty much in my seat the whole flight. And the girl in front of me was wildly dancing the whole flight in her seat with headphones on and she get pushing back in her seat hitting my knees And every announcement the flight attendant made during the flight sounded like he was stoned and obviously didn’t care what he was saying
Pros: The last time we flew Delta, we were underwhelmed. Our flight was delayed several hours and there was nothing exceptional about it when it did finally leave. That was 5 years ago, and there's been a lot of changes. There I'd now in-flight entertainment, reasonably comfortable seats, and everything was on time.
Cons: Virtually no food options.
Cons: Flight cancelled due to weather that was never bad but on the potential of bad weather. Had to scramble so my 18 year old son was not stranded overnight in a strange place and Delta does not help. Only rebooked a flight itinerary for the next day for a 4 hour flight with connections on a 1 hour direct flight. Spent an hour on line to figure out what to do. #neverdelta
Cons: Plane delayed 4 times for a total of 4 hours
Pros: The flight for getting us therw
Cons: No food and no entertainment
Pros: Super friendly flight crew.
Pros: I like the snacks they are not giving out on the flights. It seems that Delta is trying to make the flying experience nicer instead of more tedious and uncomfortable like many other airlines, which is appreciated.
Cons: The flights were both operated by Delta but booked through WestJet, and the flights themselves were fine. The booking was through WestJet (found the flight on kayak which kicked me over to West Jet's site) and check in was a pain. Their code did not work for their site or Delta's, I had to FB message them both leaving and returning to ask for the correct one, and the first request took them hours to answer. I'll just book Delta next time and save myself the trouble.
Pros: Quiet, friendly, fast and efficient. What you'd want for a flight at 6am
Pros: The crew was friendly, relaxed, made everything seem like a breeze
Pros: It all went very well. Arrived 20 minutes ahead of time. Wifi movies were great. Stewardesses were very efficient.
Pros: The crew was fantastic. I generally love flying Delta and find their crew to always be very professional and kind.
Cons: As this was a smaller, regional jet, there weren't a lot of amenities. But that's fine, it's only a 40-minute flight!
Pros: I could be wrong, but the seats were very comfortable (for a plane) and I felt my knees weren't as close to the seat in front of me than other airlines. So that's a plus.
Pros: Staff were awesome. Give them a raise.
Pros: Comfortable flight, ample leg room, and the chairs were pretty plush. Comfort+ is pretty nice
Cons: On my first flight they forgot to turn the wifi on. I have unlim data but obviously can't use while in air; no big though.
Pros: flight attendants were great.
Cons: not enough leg room and space. The business class should be at the minimum for economy.
Pros: The crew was polite and friendly
Cons: My second plane had sooo much moisture coming from the cooling system it looked like the passengers were getting gased and I kept getting wet from water condensation falling on me in a window seat as I tried to sleep from having such an early flight to begin with only to be told it's delayed 3 hrs without explanation.
Pros: Speed and comfortable kind bars were a nice touch
Pros: Good seats.
Pros: Free drinks in Comfort+
Cons: Was never able to get on flight. The plane lost a windshield wiper and didn't have any spare parts.
Cons: See above description
Pros: On time Clean airplane Smooth ride Friendly staff
Pros: smooth flight
Cons: I'm not sure if this staff is exhausted or just over there job, but they cow towed to a woman who made major complaints about the air conditioning and even gave her points to help her deal with the temperature. Strange. They were only gold stays and I'm only Platinum and didn't complain once. Oh well, that's delta, we all deal with their silence when we post anything that is unfair.
Pros: Flight attendants were great.
Cons: Movie and TV selection is not great for an international flight.
Pros: Comfort with entertainment.
Cons: No food options at all.
Pros: I love deltas crew. Quick service and they let you sleep. Very efficient boarding. Excellent.
Pros: The check in personnel was fantastic - very helpful and friendly with a very relevant story that made me feel more relaxed. Our not so good seats were somewhat compensated by the plane staff that gave us each a full beverage can, extra pretzels, and some cookies.
Cons: Our seats that we'd picked out seemed to get changed when we checked in and we got out in the last row, which had no window, and smelled strongly of bathroom cleaner.
Cons: Delay after delay, then missed connection.
Pros: Nothing really.
Cons: Arrived at airport at 08:00a for 09:10a flight. Delay for weather, then crew rest, then cancelled ~6 hours later. All while sitting in the airport like a dope. Put on a flight with overnight in LGA, but they could not tell us if a voucher would be provided. Usual story since the govt does not mandate the airlines do better. Was not advised to try standby on other later flights, which worked. Finally landing in BOS, we sat for 45+ min waiting for a third person to flag the plan to the gate. Understand why, but really annoying after such a long day full of delays. Felt many areas could have been handled better. Each person individually tried, but in aggregate it was a mess.
Cons: Flying on a different airline
Pros: Quick flight
Cons: An on time flight
Pros: Flight to DC was good, on time, clean, pleasant crew, etc. And the flight back was mostly good, with exception of the booking and boarding issue.
Cons: My TSA information was included in the flight to DC, but apparently omitted from the system for the return trip. This forced me to go through the non-TSA precheck even though I have paid for and am a known traveler. The flight was also late and making it later still, was the gate having to plead for passengers to check their bags as a way to avert the airline’s overbooking it in the first place.
Pros: The crew was clearly concerned with the covid rules, but just as concerned for passenger's needs. Outstanding performance in difficult circumstances.
Cons: Food option to purchase
Pros: Turbulence Ear popping
Cons: Better food options for those in group 1
Cons: Old planes, disinterested crew, full flight
Cons: Flight attendants not enforcing mask rules. Unfortunately, many people on my flight seemed to think they're not concerned by the pandemic, and were keeping their noses out of their masks, or frequently removing their masks
Cons: The seats are uncomfortable and cramped
Pros: I was lucky enough not to be put into a middle seat or next to a stranger during this pandemic.
Cons: No social distancing and no enforcement of wearing a mask properly. Wearing one on your chin or half of your mouth with your nose hanging out needs to be corrected. Empty seats should be utilized for social distancing regardless of fare. First class and the back half of the planes were practically empty while everyone was in the center. We should have been allowed to spread out.
Cons: It could have been cleaner. I wiped the arm rest with my disinfectant wipes and that arm rest was dirty! I wiped everything else around me. Not clean at all
Cons: offer coffee at least
Cons: Sat on tarmac for over 40 min waiting for gate
Cons: Flight is always packed to capacity and seats are small. Uncomfortable. On the good side, we had a new plane with leather-like seats.
Cons: 3 hours delayed
Pros: Flight arrived early. Stewardess although newer was attentive
Cons: Nothing the flight was great
Cons: It was hot
Cons: Didn’t get my whole can of soda and pretzels are cardboard.
Cons: Wifi didn’t work.
Cons: Nothing, great job
Cons: The flight attendant that helped passengers in the main cabin was rude, lacked empathy, and lacked resourcefulness. She argued about throwing away a drink that she poured, didn’t care to explain things to passengers when asked i. e. why charging outlets were not in service, and her tone was rude ...
Pros: The air hostess didn’t smile while offering cookies, but she wasn’t rude. She later asked my fellow passenger to move to another window seat and I had the comfort of 2 seats.
Pros: Convenient departure time originally
Cons: Late start due to needing more fuel because of weather at the destination. So after everyone had boarded, at the minute we were supposed to take off, they beg for 2 volunteers to get off the flight to compensate for the weight of the excess fuel. Eventually 2 people b3came annoyed enough to get off and take a $200 voucher (probably for another delayed flight.) so we were late taking off for that. At our destination there were clear sunn6 skies. Extra fuel was needed for that. So I was stuck in a seat the size of a child’s car seat for an extra 40 minutes? And when we could finally get off, my legs had fallen asleep ffrom being too squeezed in for that relatively short flight. When will the airlines focus on the passengers’ safety & comfort and not on excessive profits?
Cons: on a 5+ hour flight, that was diverted back to the originating airport due to a passenger who had extreme DTs from excessive drinking the night before, and made the flight return, American offered NO compensation AND the aircraft was so old, there were NO back seat monitors NOR any means to charge our electrical devices!!!
Pros: Unlike previous AA flights, the process was smooth everywhere it mattered. Attendants and crew were friendly, service was prompt, flight was smooth.
Cons: Attendant was unable to upgrade me to first class due to a system error they couldn't fix. Boarding was unnecessarily delayed because the attendant on staff was not the scheduled attendant and they were scrambling to catch up.
Cons: I am very disappointed with my flight this morning on American Airlines 1533. The crew did an excellent job. The issue, however, is the media AA chose to play at 8:30am. The NBC show that was playing on every overhead TV on the flight featured a woman being sexually assaulted by a man, someone being bludgeoned with a piece a wood until they lay unconscience in a pool of blood, and woman with a gun to her head as she’s being yelled at by multiple men. I was flying with my three year old son. Why on earth is it necessary to show this tv show (or any show that has mature/adult ratings) on a flight that is obviously going to have audiences of all ages? Our flight had a dozen or so children and when you show prime time trash on the overhead TVs, it’s really tough to keep kids from looking forward the entire length of the 2 hour flight so they don’t watch a woman being raped, a man being beaten, or someone being held at gunpoint. I am traveling on behalf of the US government so I didn’t have to pay for my ticket. I did, however, pay for my 3 year old son to accompany me on the flight and I am wholly unsatisfied with the AA team responsible for choosing in-flight ‘entertainment.’ I’m not sure if NBC pays AA to feature their shows or AA has to pay NBC for the pleasure of featuring their trash but either way, what in the world are you guys thinking?
Cons: They lost our luggage even though we have 50 minutes between connecting flights.
Pros: The crew was helpful and nice, boarding was calm, we got there much earlier than anticipated.
Cons: 1) Biggest complaint is not about the actual flight we were on, but the one we missed, who left the gate Early, even though they knew we had landed and other people from our BCN to JFK flight made it. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, esp since all other flights to DC out of JFK were cancelled. 2) We were on the last row of the plane so our seats didn’t recline. Annoying at best bc the flight was so short, but would have been nice since we had been traveling for 18 hours by that point (because of the late flight, missed connection, cancelled JFK flights, etc).
Cons: Flight was fine but took 20 minutes to find a gate agent at DCA to let us off the plane.
Cons: Very inefficient that all bags had to be checked on the jet way and then picked up on the jet way. The picking up on the jet way turned into a cluster F.
Pros: Nice modern plane. Even though the flight was delayed, we ended up boarding earlier than expected and arrived pretty close to our original expected arrival time.
Cons: The crew was nice and everything, but they weren't very good at making announcements on the loudspeaker. You could tell they didn't really know what they were saying or haven't practiced. One lady was trying to make a sales pitch for a new master card and you could tell she was reading and there were long pauses. My sense is that when using the loudspeaker to talk to the entire flight, one should be practiced and know what they're saying and communicate quickly and efficiently. Don't mean to be critical, but it's something that I noticed that could be improved.
Cons: Flight was delayed for hours- weather related, but at other destinations- so this flight had to wait to be rescheduled. Also they weren't able to give any idea when the flight would be boarding- they just kept sending text alerts that it was delayed another half hour and no updates were listed on the screens. When the flight finally left, after I had been waiting for over 5 hours, we were told that they would be flying low, so there would be no beverage service. It would be nice in these situations to simply have bottled water to pass out quickly, or make the announcement prior to boarding so people would be able to bring their own beverages.
Pros: Flight was quick, seamless, on-time, and comfortable. WiFi available. Arrived 10 minutes early. Recommend the shuttle because if you don't get one flight, they'll get you on the next. These days, the shuttle is more dependable than Amtrak.
Cons: Would appreciate a USB port or an outlet.
Pros: Flight was fine.
Cons: Diverted due to low weather and low fuel. Sat on the tarmac for almost two hours before we could get fuel and be on our way.
Pros: Ground delay but we still got there in time and I made a close connectionshort flight
Cons: Food was bad and crew never ask for food to economy passengers for long hour flight meal plan was not working I felt hungry and ac was too cold for all the time nothing good entertainment movies for different languages and no providing small personal hygiene kits for long flight
Cons: Your subject headline in your email read: How was your Alaska Airlines flight to Washington? All correspondence referenced Alaska Airlines, however my flight was and American Airlines flight and in a terminal on the complete other side of the airport. I suggest you clarify on line.
Cons: Not once but twice we boarded, sat on the plane for an hour and then were asked to deplane due to mechanical issues. It's understandable for one plane to have problems, but absurd to have issues again with the second plane. After all this, our flight was delayed until the early hours of the morning, leaving many passengers to sleep in the airport. It was uncomfortable, disappointing, frustrating, and the crew seemed very unsympathetic.
Pros: That I got home safely
Cons: From the get go it was an awful experience ... I travel with an emotional support animal as does my husband because we don't do well with flying. I have anxiety to the max about it & my husband gets ulcerative colitis flare ups any time he's stressed out which is usually while we fly and having our dogs with us turkey makes us feel better. When I called to tell them over the phone we would have our emotional support animal I got an attitude as if I hadn't been doing this for the last 4 years. She reiterated to me that we needed in addition to the letterhead from the doctor a form filled out (which we both did ) . Brought to the airport and sit had to sit at the counter like the girl didn't know what she was doing. Fast forward to finally getting to the gate after being stressed and our flight was delayed. This now only made our 50 min layover in DC 20 min by the time we landed. We ran from one gate to the next hoping we wouldn't miss our flight and when we got there they wouldn't let us on the plane saying things like "your dogs are not on this flight" "there is no documentation" "well then you must not have the right paperwork" ... in front of a bunch of people in line, out of breath, and now embarrassed I am forced to take out my folder and give them all the paperwork I had just given to the customer service desk before our first flight. They let everyone on the plane and still made us stand there and finally said "just go but your dogs aren't on this flight". Fast forward AGAIN to sitting on the flight the flight attendant comes over and says "guys where's you carrier the dogs need to be under the seats" .. we peoceeded again to explain for the seventh time that they were emotional support animals ... she then proceeded "no they are not they are not even listed on this flight" at this point I'm EXTREMLY embarrassed because people on the plane are paying attention and drawing attention to us but not only that ... I have been doing this for years .. I ALWAYS have the proper documentation as does my husband and we have never ran into this kind of disappointment and embarrassment from any airline until now. I was so stressed out to begin with and this deffinately didn't help ... nor did it make us wants to fly on American again. I felt pushed aside, embarrassed, and belittled by multiples employees ... all because the first employee clearly made a mistake and didn't document things correctly ... that should have never been put on us .
Cons: Flight from Miami last night was delayed 3.5 hours (which was a 9:30pm departure to 12:30am departure) There was horrible weather that prevented the Flight captain to arrive on time for our flight. (he was en route from NYC to MIA). But instead of providing accommodations, the times changed and then they boarded us on the plane where we proceeded to wait almost an hour on the plane before take off. Arrived at DCA at 3 am....not a goo start to a work week.
Cons: Flight was good until, after arriving 30 minutes early to PWM, our plane had to wait about that much time for our gate to open. Once pulling to the gate we waited another 15 minutes for someone to figure out the walkway and open the door tom the plane-- all with no communication from the crew.
Cons: i decided to purchase a separate direct flight at a different time instead of changing my flight, only to be informed later when i tried to hop on the back end of my original flight, that they had canceled my ticket since i hadnt boarded on the front end of that flight. i had spoken to a customer service rep about my option before purchasing the extra ticket, and she did not mention that this would be an issue. then i had to pay extra to get back on my original flight.
Cons: When the pilot took off at LGA he said "everyone here is trying to take off at the same time" so we'd be delayed by 30 min. Not once was there a mention of any other reason. By the time we got to DC I had JUST missed my connecting flight. It was listed nowhere on the departures screen and I realized I had to take an outdoor bus to the other half of the "c" terminal which was very confusing. I got there and had missed the connecting flight and stand in line for 20 min for someone to tell me that I would be stuck in DC overnight. At this point rain had started pouring and they told me that because my mishap was due to weather they would provide no meal or hotel voucher. Weather was not the issue and I was stuck in DC overnight by myself and not compensated for hotels or meals.
Pros: The crew was very kind and friendly at all times, very professional and approachable.
Cons: The seats are not comfortable.
Pros: Exceptional crew, easy boarding and flight
Cons: Everything was great
Cons: Great crew and smooth ride
Pros: Great crew.
Cons: Was surprised to see 0 social distancing in the plane. It was packed and not everyone had masks. Should be mandatory.
Pros: Crew was very good and friendly.
Cons: I would have appreciated a “free snack & cola”.
Pros: Boarding was fast. We arrived early.
Cons: It was too cold & they kept turning on the lights (it was a late night flight).
Pros: Allegiant is a Budget airline. Good fares and great service. Nonstop service to less traveled destinations
Cons: Nothing for the price.
Cons: Amazing flioght and service.
Pros: Flight attendants were great.
Cons: Bag check agent could have been a little more friendly.
Cons: Be on time
Pros: Crew was nice for the most part.
Cons: Didn’t leave on time. Would be nice to get something complimentary for all the wasted time. Would like to be able to watch something
Pros: Nothing is good on this flight. It was delayed by 7 hours and the communication is not proper
Cons: Customer service
Pros: No leg room & very misbehaved children sitting behind me. The children screamed the whole time, kicked our seats, and the mother had no control. If you are any taller than 5’9”, you may want to consider an exit row seat to have room for your legs. My knees were jammed in to the seat in front of me.
Cons: Unfriendly Flight attendants
Pros: On time flight... good stew's, all around pleasant experience.
Cons: the seats are hard and very narrow.
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful and boarded us in an orderly manner.
Cons: Staff are part time employees and do not arrive to check in counter until 1.5 hours before flight. When flying out of this airport you do not need to arrive 2 hours early.
Pros: Going in & out of small airports.
Cons: We arrived late. Pricing system.
Cons: Flight was delayed 6 hours.
Cons: The $17.00 i paid to insure the flight was not honored. I had some health issues and needed to cancel. I was then told that the airline I chose through your site, won’t honor it. I am furious and am owed my refund.
Cons: Flight delayed when we ere told it was early. Waited and waited.
Cons: Seats are hard
Cons: Long wait due to plane speaker malfunction. Offered free drink pours on flight once we finally took off but it was a very small “2 sip” pour.
Pros: Quick non stop.
Pros: Quick boarding with no fuss.
Cons: The planes could be a lot cleaner.
Pros: It got us there and back for a descent price. The flight was fine but the seats are not comfortable and do not recline. I wouldn't suggest Allegiant for anything more than 2 hours and that was even pushing it.
Cons: We arrived 3.5 hours early and the line was very long. They must have had a system glitch but didn't communicate to anyone in the line as to what was going on. When it did come time to board, they told everyone in the line that was going to Cincinnati that we couldn't check in until 2 hours before the departure time. Apparently there were some other flights that left before us. If they had told us to keep our place in line and to let other people through, that wouldn't have been a problem. But, they didn't. Their own website says you should check baggage at least 2 hours before your flight and no more than 4 hours before. They took it upon themselves to change the rules on people who arrive early. Then, once they no longer had anyone else to check in, they changed their rules again and start checking in people for Cincinnati about 2.5 hours ahead of time. A little communication and brain power from the staff would have gone a long way. After all that mess, the flight was delayed leaving about 15 minutes without any updates from Allegiant either.
Pros: Snacks were good but we had to pay for them.
Pros: The view through a milkey-filmed window.
Cons: Airplane would have been nicer and lighter if the 4 attendants would have cleaned it.
Cons: All of the hidden fees. I was initially charged more than $200 over the price I was quoted on Kayak.com and then had to pay an extra $45 to bring 1 carry-on each. I do not plan to use Kayak.com again for these reasons and will not recommend this site to anyone
Pros: Flew 2 different legs with Allegiant, both of which were delayed for maintenance stuff. 2nd leg, we sat in the plane for an hour waiting for a maintenance guy, so my wife went to the bathroom. No toilet paper! When my wife asked about it, she was told "we won't be getting toilet paper for this flight." Inexpensive is one thing, but...dear lord!
Pros: More room in seats. Low prices Nice staff.
Cons: NO DRINKS!! not even water is complementary!! NO SNACKS!! Not even pretzels!! WOW! You have to pay for your carry ons. You have to pay for your checked bag ($50!) You are only allowed 40# in your checked in without an additional fee.
Pros: Considering the fare was advertised between $350 and $700 with other carriers on Kayak, I took this one for $179, roundtrip, direct from LAX to Grand Junction.
Cons: When the crew runs to get coffee in the terminal, make sure to do the same. I brought some snacks, but wish I had brought coffee. The man next to me kept creeping into my space which was incredibly annoying, but it was a relatively quick flight. Beats the two day drive from L.A. to Colorado.
Pros: I never have any issues. Everything is always great.
Pros: The speed
Cons: Leg room
Cons: I paid for 1A. Was moved because "the crew needed the seat" to the middle. There were SO many open seats. Was unacceptable.
Pros: Everything was great during the flight but...
Cons: We were delayed over 7 hours, with only a $50 dollar future airline credit and an $8 meal voucher. That's not nearly enough for that kind of headache. It was 2 am before we arrived at our hotel.
Pros: Nothing about this flight experience was good, with the exception of my overpriced hummus and crackers.
Cons: Boarding was slow and archaic. Once we were all finally seated they came through 3 times with a paper trying to figure out who wasn't on board. As we taxied towards the runway a lady who felt dizzy coming on board threw up. The crew was obviously panicked and unorganized. We taxied back to our gate and waited for LA Fire for. to escort the ill lady off and clean the area. While waiting to taxi out the second time the flight attended, Tyeesha, was very rude to an elderly gent. He was seated in an exit row and she didn't think him capable. The lady on the aisle of my row volunteered to switch and Tyeesha' s response was a sharp, "Do you want to pay the higher price too?" When the lady next to me said she would gladly pay Tyeesha announced loudly that this discussion was between the two of them and everyone else needed to mind their own business. The lady offering to switch was really embarrassed, as was the elderly gent. Someone else was made to switch with him. They looked disgruntled too. In the air all the flight attendants were sharp and very direct. There were no please or thank you's used. Trash was collected silently and mostly with pointing. The armrest to my left had five flavors of chewed gum stuck to the side of it. My lap tray had grey and yellow sticky stuff on it and I chose to hold my food rather than let the two touch. The floors were untidy. The only reason I will ever fly Allegiant again is if I have no other options. It is 60 minutes closer to my house than SLC and I will be making the drive from now on.
Cons: Two planes of passengers in gate area delayed takeoff without warning or information.
Cons: Even snacks and water are only available for a fee. Seats do not have much padding and are not comfortable.
Pros: At least I arrived to Oakland eventually. A one hour flight turned into a 7 hour wait and flight
Cons: 7 hours from Vegas to Oakland. I could have driven. I deserve a reufind voucher
Cons: They overcharge for bags and their weight limit is only 40 pounds. They leave the desk and hour before take off which doesn't help people who are running late. They charge you to print out your boarding pass. They don't even send the boarding pass through email, you have to download the app. Overall horrible customer service. When call for customer service you can't even get a human representative. I missed my flight and they didn't even have another flight to to accommodate me to get to my destination and no one at the front desk to talk to.
Cons: They arrive to the airport over an hour early and went to the desk we're asking them to print my ticket they informed me that they cannot check me in at the desk I had to do it online I didn't have the ability to do that so therefore I miss my plane
Pros: The crew was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Cons: Seats don't recline.
Pros: The crew was good and had customer service
Cons: After an 36 hour delay and only $8 meal voucher in Las Vegas, highly disappointed!!! The next flight was late arrival and Late boarding. everything to include water and sodas are extra fees. not impressed and will never fly Allegiant again
Cons: Seats were made of stone.
Cons: That you charge for every little thing...surprised you don't charge to use the bathrooms. Don't appreciate having to be your clean up crew either.
Pros: Excellent direct flight at good price
Cons: Flight 339 not listed on TV monitors at Boise airport
Pros: It was fairly clean and the flight wasn't crowded.
Cons: Flight boarded late, $2 charge for water (and it's not even good water), and no free carry on.
Pros: Grew was amazing.
Cons: Excellent experience
Cons: You take my money for nothing yu stolen my money why why you kayak my husband doesn't travel from Desmoines he is not in system why ????? bring my money back to my account aa
Pros: Gate agent friendly and on the ball!
Cons: Seats are torture
Cons: They could have told me more than 24 hours before my flight that they changed me to a different flight 4 hours earlier in the day!
Cons: Able to choose own seats
Cons: No delays
Pros: Smooth ride, landing and take-off Courteous staff
Cons: 1. Very tiny seats, had to sit cramped on a 5 hr flight even though the neighbors were very nice 2. Space for carry on was over well before all passengers on boarded. I don't understand how this is possible when you know everyone can carry 1 carry-on and 1 personal bag. Even though I had a seat towards the front, I had to go right at the back to stow my carry-on. This caused me to de-board last!
Pros: Well we boarded and left early...
Cons: No free entertainment, kept us on the plane for 30 minutes before getting in to the gate, and left our luggage on a later flight.
Cons: No apologies for being delayed. More than 4 hours. No explanation. Nothing. Awful service.
Pros: Old and thus soft and comfortable seats
Cons: Old plane overall
Pros: We seemed to fly faster to make up time
Cons: The seats are jokingly small and very uncomfortable. The boarding space was also small so the lines became very unorganized
Pros: Good service from crew. Fairly quick boarding process.
Cons: Aircraft seemed fairly new on inside, but didn't have power outlets. Small uncomfortable seats on a long flight that is almost always full.
Cons: Seats are not very comfortable. Food selection is not very good..
Pros: Good equipment. Pilots communicative.
Cons: First class food choices were both heavy ( meat ravioli or braised beef tips). I had a nice grilled chicken wrap from Coach. Flight attendants were pleasant and professional but not very attentive.
Pros: Boarding seemed smother than usual. I had an issue with a large back pack that wouldn't fit in the overhead due to a smaller plane travelling to Houston from Des Moines, Flight attendant was extremely helpful as it was expensive camera equipment and was able to stow it so that i didn't have to check it at the door. Most appreciated their sensitivity.
Pros: Availability of flights out of Chicago
Cons: Availability of flights out of Chicago
Cons: The plane was not at the airport on time and when it caused us to miss the flight they blamed the weather instead of the plane not being at the airport on time. They were rude and refused to give hotel vouchers.
Pros: Economy Basic check-in was easier than I'd expected it to be, security was quick and seamless. Once on board the aircraft, the flight crew kept us informed about possible weather issues (e.g. turbulence), including the approximate time to expect it, how long it might last, and that it would probably preclude in-flight beverage service. Flight attendants offered to provide one-at-a-time beverage service to those "really in need of a drink." I thought that was pretty gracious under the circumstances, and was happy to see that passengers didn't take advantage of the option :-). Looks like United is doing its best to counteract its recent negative publicity. Well done!
Pros: Got home earlier than planned because I was able to get on an earlier flight.
Cons: They lost one of our bags
Pros: Flight left right on time and arrived to the destination early - which was great because i had an extremely short layover
Pros: Staff at airport and cabin crew were mostly nice. At airport, the ticket agent helped correct a mistake and was very helpful.
Cons: There are TVs on the backs of chairs where they advertise that you can pay to watch shows or movies and play the safety video. That would be fine if you could just turn it off once that's done. But it was too hard to turn off, and after the safety video, they played three ads (you couldn't turn the ads off). At the end of the flight the tvs camenon again. It was also a night time flight - how can you sleep with the screen on. Also, the seat space seemed smaller than usual so the screen was in my face. I hated this flight.
Pros: Decent room on the flight. No food or drink.
Pros: Everybody was so friendly
Pros: Airline rebooked me to a more convenient flight at no charge. The service was excellent. Seats were comfortable. The crew were upbeat.
Cons: It was very delayed
Pros: It was perfect flight by all means
Pros: The crew worked quickly to get me another flight when I was not gonna make my connection flight.
Cons: The plane malfunctioned and their time management of telling us when it was gonna be fixed was poor.
Cons: Never got there canceled for weather.
Cons: Crew did not communicate well with ground crew on maintenance issue, causing us to sit on plane for 2:20 hours.
Cons: The boarding process was a bit chaotic. At the end i had no where to put the bag and i had to check it.
Pros: I loved it
Cons: I'm 5"10 and sat in a middle seat. I had zero leg room. Never a prob on other airlines. Thank god flight was short.
Pros: Boarding process was efficientt
Cons: Plane circled around for 30 min with no update from pilot. Luggage took 35 min to arrive.
Cons: Delayed 3 hours sitting in tight space on the plane
Pros: The crew tried
Cons: I sat in the middle seat of row 38. The last one between 2 tall broad melus there was no room to even put the tray table down.it was the worst flight I ever had. Never United again
Cons: There are 2 maintenance problems on 2 different planes that caused major delays in Chicago. This is the last time I'm taking United.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Flight was fine.
Cons: We arrived with 10 minutes to make our next flight at ORD. The flight crew could have requested that folks who did NOT have tight connections wait a few minutes so the rest of us could get off the plane efficiently. This did not happen. Folks who lived in Chicago just took their sweet time gathering their stuff while we waited.
Cons: Seating on the plane for about 2 1/2 hours
Cons: About two hours before my flight, it was canceled after previously making an airplane switch the night before after checking in online. The I received an email while I was on the way to the airport saying that the airplane that I was going to fly out on was canceled due to airplane maintenance. While I am happy they didn't fly the plane while needing maintenance, they should have planned ahead and known of the maintenance or had a backup ready to go. Obviously it must have been something they just found, but in the big picture of things. You have to pay an way to much for a flight as it is. They should have to solve their own issues to honor their part of the contract. We (as customers) can't cancel a flight with out penalties. Why shouldn't they have to do the same?
Cons: Departure was delayed for five hours. Gate changes 4 different times to opposite sides of the terminal. Weren't told honest reason of the delay until two hours in. They boarded half of the plane and stopped when the pilots radioed in that there was a severe hydraulic fluid leak. Updates were supposed to happen every thirty minutes but more than three times they were longer than thirty minute intervals and at one point more than ninety minutes without an update. The representatives at the Chicago gate told us we were all set then the rest of the passengers boarded the plane. The pilot said they were waiting on maintenance paperwork to print off but then we waited an extra hour at the gate on board while we could still hear very loud tests of the hydraulic system. Once we finally left the gate and headed out on the runway for takeoff we stopped just before takeoff and the pilot said we were waiting on PAPERWORK AGAIN! This was another 30 minute delay and we finally took off. We were supposed to arrive home at 10:00pm and instead arrived at 3:00am...
Pros: On the trip from Des Moines to Houston, timeliness of flight was great. The boarding went smooth and was done quickly. The crew were friendly and courteous. Overall the first half of the trip was fine.
Cons: I was extremely disappointed in the condition of my luggage when I picked it up plane side. The wheel was broke off and all the pockets had been unzipped and it appeared they had been rummaged through. I had to drag my bag through the terminal. I spoke with 3 individuals with United who referred me onto the next and each unwilling as the previous to help. I myself am in customer service and would never treat my customers the way I was treated by the employees representing your Airline. I would go above and beyond to make the sure that the customers experience was a great one in spite of the unfotunate incident so they would return. I have never flown United before, and I will not consider your airline in the future.
Pros: Same....very possible experience
Cons: The only thing that was not good was the wifi-- we used it on our first flight from LAX to Chicago, but from Chicago to DCA we were unable to connect.
Cons: They lost my bag for my entire vacation. They found it and "rushed" it to me, but it got waylaid in SFO and would have sat there had I not called them. Then they said they would deliver it to my hotel. When it arrived 4 days later, they said I could pick it up and they would not deliver it. I was 2.5 hours away. I told them to send it home, but they didn't and when I flew home 7 days later, it was still sitting in Munich!
Pros: Everything was great, no waits, and right on time!
Pros: not much
Cons: United was happy to charge me $75 to switch me to an earlier flight, then that flight was an hour and a half late because they were missing a flight attendant. So they basically defrauded me out of $75.
Cons: It was delayed so I had to take another flight. I've been trying to get this flight refunded
Pros: This was the most uncomfortable plane ride I have ever been on. Will not use this airline again
Cons: Social distancing, the seats are absolute garbage. There’s no room, the tray tables are a freaking joke. It was excruciatingly uncomfortable.
Pros: Amazing crew
Pros: The time
Cons: Dont have flight leave 30mins early
Pros: The flight was on-time.
Cons: The seat, again, was the bad news.
Cons: Nothing. It’s garbage.
Pros: Was fine overall for a no frills airline
Cons: We were not notified prior to the flight that we could not of been a plane so of course the only snack I had with me for a four hour flight was a bag of peanuts. We were told we were not allowed to take any peanut products out on the plane and this was told to us from at takeoff.
Pros: Crew was great; polite, helpful and friendly.
Cons: As always with frontier, seats don’t decline and are relatively uncomfortable compared to other airlines. No complimentary beverage/snack service. No in flight entertainment. Standard, uncomfortable flight, but the price happened to be right.
Pros: I got to DC in one piece.
Cons: Seats are REALLY uncomfortable as they're thin and don't recline, no USB plugs in plane or Wifi available. Lots of turbulence on this flight which sucked, but that's out of the airline's hands I suppose. The trip from Seattle to Denver was even worse. Bag drop took over an hour, and the plan wasn't ready when it was supposed to be. Took forever, which sucked on a red eye.
Pros: The flight was generally acceptable
Cons: Late departure, warning of turbulence - with no actual turbulence. Fight attendant wouldn’t let me use the lavatory during the un-turbulent turbulence. You can’t get anything to drink without paying at least $2. The fees are annoying. I miss comfortable full service airlines.
Pros: If you have carry-on, you are seated first so there is room in the overhead compartment. That is great. Non-stop flight from DCA to Denver.
Cons: This was my return flight to DCA. The flight home was marginally better because I paid $13 to upgrade to a window seat. I did not upgrade further for $45 to include reclining and more leg room. I guessed right the little extra room by the window gave me enough to be slightly more comfortable than the torturous middle seat. This time I checked my carry-on early, and saved $7. I paid $38 instead of $45. I prepaid my checked luggage. My base ticket was $368 but with the checked luggage, carry-on, and changed seat fees, it cost me $510. The base rate was not sufficiently low enough to really make a difference because of the all the add-on charges. Besides the charge for carry-ons, there is a charge for a simple drink or snack - $2.99. At least other airlines offer water and nuts, & do not charge for carry-ons. The ticket cost for other airlines were not near or over $510. This bare bones, nickel & dime may be good for some but not for me. I would rather give up a nonstop flight for comfort on a 4-hour trip and no hassles about carry-on luggage or a cup of water. If the trip was under 2 hours, it may not have been so bad but the fees for this or that is not very appetizing either.
Cons: Complete lack of service. Plane diverted to IAD they told us to go to Z gates. Not one damn employee was around anywhere. Finally had to take an UBER to final destination DCA. I will be following up for a full refund on my flight and my UBER ride reimbursement.
Pros: Check in line was relatively short compared to other airlines at the same time of day
Cons: Chemical smell (fuel?) strong in back of plane when getting ready for take-off. Couldn't even buy a stretch seat and think it is disrespectful to customers to shoe-horn them in to those terribly close rows of "regular" seats. NO ONE wants to feel like that! Also, couldn't get Frontiers new mobile app to let me sign in for flight.. help desk said just go to the airport to sign in. So why bother with the app? AND when I bought tickets that seemed like a decent deal, found out AFTER buying tickets that baggage, carry-ones and most regular seats all have additional fees. I paid an extra $107.00JUST to sit down and bring my clothes in a bag.
Pros: Frontier has modern planes, practically new. Staff was attentive. The planes are clean. Water is free. It's had air conditioning and good lighting for the seats.
Cons: Very limited comfort on the seats, very limited space. Note only the space between the seats but also the the tray is very short. Don't think about using the tra for a laptop, tablet or phone; not even a cup of coffee fits adequately on the tray. The space under the seat is also very limited, as well as the net behind the seat. You can barely fit a bottle of water. Comfort is not what they are aiming for.
Pros: We had a safe flight.
Cons: To start, the app didn't work correctly for check in, so when trying to go through security, I couldn't pull up my boarding pass SO I had to get out of line and go all the way back to the check in line to print a pass. The boarding process was fine, but the seats are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Additonally, every other airline I typically fly provides a drink and snack at NO CHARGE. Not Frontier. A drink, other than water, is at least $2.99. I will do my best not to fly this airline in general and will tell the company who booked my flight that they should consider a different airline in the future.
Pros: We did not crash. I appreciated that. Also, we made slightly faster time than planned.
Cons: I had no idea that a *carry on* costs $30. That's just obscene. My GF and I took a weekend trip to Utah and brought only our backpacks because we didn't want to spend the extra dough. Lame. At Frontier, you don't even get to choose your seats without paying extra money. If you want to guarantee that you can sit in the absolute worst seats on the plane that's gonna cost you an extra $5. Sure hope we get to sit together! Lame. The seats were one step above folding lawn chairs. Lame. When the flight crew refers to the 6 inch by 3 inch "table" as a "barbie tray" that makes it funny, but no less lame. How could we top all this lameness off with a lame sauce? How about the flight crew "requesting" your attention and forcing you to sit through a 5 minute *credit card offer*. I could not believe it when the credit card offer started. Afterwards, she walked through the aisles and asked every person who dared to gaze in her general direction whether they were interested in her offer. How many were? ZERO. Before this flight I truly had no opinion about which airline I should fly, but now I do have a preference... Literally anyone other than Frontier.
Cons: This airline is like something out of a comedy about bad airlines. It starts with their "low fares" that don't include basics like carryon bags and seat selection. Next are the seats, which don't even recline a little bit, are SHOCKINGLY tiny and uncomfortable, provide significantly less leg room than anything I've seen anywhere else, 4"x3" beverage trays that the flight attendants openly laugh at, and no food/beverage menus. Even the flight attendants are worse than average; a woman asked one of them if there was a bathroom in the front of the plane, and she responded that she didn't know. Just corner cutting and general low quality across the board. Oh and of course no movie or internet options. They should change their name to "no other flights at the time you needed to be there" airlines.
Cons: waited forever to get our bags back when we got back to DC
Pros: The price was right until we were charged for each checked bag including carry on luggage. The seats on the plan were also incredibly uncomfortable.
Cons: Flight check-in for Frontier was so busy that I ended up going through the outdoor check-in line, even though it was well below freezing outside. The flight was delayed about 3 hours with multiple gate changes and little communication about the delays and gate changes. Most passengers learned of the changes from Frontier's website while waiting at a gate. After waiting outside in cold temperatures to hand over my checked bag, it turns out Frontier never put my bag on the plane. In fact, about 30 people had checked bags that were not put on our plane. When I tried to call the Frontier customer service phone line, it was so busy that they were not accepting calls and the system hung up on me. My bag was delivered almost 24 hours after the plane landed, but that meant I lost a day of vacation because I had to wait for someone to deliver my bag, whenever was convenient for the airline. Frontier did refund me the cost of the checked bag and gave me a $50 credit to encourage me to return as a customer. When any sort of baggage (checked or carry-on) costs at least $30, that $50 credit really is not enough to make up for their incompetence
Pros: Grateful that the Frontier crew got us to our destination and back safe and sound. Thank you!
Cons: Really shocked to see when I was checking in that we had to pay $300 in fees for our 2 carry ons, 2 checked bags AND FOR OUR SEATS! We were pretty upset about it but nothing we could do, it was a snowboarding trip so we had to carry our gear with us... So after we got over that shock, we board the plane and discover that seats don't recline, snacks and sodas come at a price ($3 for a can of coke) and there's absolutely no entertainment. All this being said, I would expect this from a low budget airline, BUT we paid a lot for our tickets. Granted it was a New Year's flight, but still, we've never seen this from any other airline. Unfortunately, we will not be choosing Frontier in the future.
Pros: The flight was fine. It arrived on time, and I don't mind the immobile seat backs and the lack of a talk tray table.
Cons: I received an email on Tuesday night informing me that my Thursday am flight was cancelled, due to anticipated weather (no increment weather at the time), The email provided no instructions for rebooking except a phone number. I tried rebooking on the web site, but that didn't work. The web site did not know about the cancellation at all and wanted to charge me a large rebooking fee. Meanwhile I was on hold for two hours. Finally, I needed a midnight trip to the airport in order to rebook. At the airport, I witnessed ill-informed and stressed agents failing to cope with stressed stranded customers. One agent told a customer that she refused to help him any longer because he recorded her.
Pros: The flight was on time and the plane was clean. The crew was very friendly.
Cons: The airline did not provide seat assignments at booking or prior to the flight. To secure seats together with my 11 year old son, I was upcharged at the airport ($85 for tow flights). No amenities were provided. Apple juice cost $3. No in flight entertainment, not even a magazine. This flight cost as much as a major airline when I booked it--the only convenience was timing back to our original airport. Add the seat up charge and I probably paid more. This experience proved to me that it might be ok to pay a little extra for a major carrier, especially on long trips.
Pros: I didn't like anything .
Cons: I'm use to flying Delta . And that's what the problem was . When you put frontier up against Delta the difference is pretty disgusting . Frontier has no remorse for those who maybe late . If you don't check in , and aren't by the gate within 15 minutes they'll just leave you high and dry . Some people might have a dead phone , or no service . Checking in should not be life or death but with frontier it is . Also their bag policy is nothing compared to Delta . They charge $35 for a carry on bag . With Delta , your first carry on is free . Also , frontiers food menu is a disgrace . They charge $10 for a piece of cheese and that's just disgraceful . No complimentary snacks, just an airline trying to milk you for your money , and there is NO LEG ROOM , on their planes what so ever . Frontier airlines is now on my DO NOT FLY list along with Spirit airlines . Back to Delta I go !!!
Cons: Per their instructions, I arrived at the airport two hours before my flight. The line to check in was MASSIVE. Everyone was grumbling they'd never fly Frontier again. All of the airlines nearby had no line, just Frontier was a mess. This took about an hour. I asked the lady at check-in (who rudely rolled her eyes at me when I said I needed a boarding pass printed), why it was so busy and she gave me a blank stare and said "it's like this every day at this time, we have five flights going out." Sooooo they know it's like this everyday...why don't they fix the problem and have more than TWO PEOPLE behind the desk? This doesn't seem like rocket science. Security took 40 minutes too, and I told two TSA people my flight was boarding, and they just looked at me and shrugged. I've seen far better at other airports. My gate closed at 4:20. I was still in line at 4:10. Somehow I made it through and had to full out sprint to the gate. I made it at 4:18, and the gate guy said "I hate to have to close the gate on people, good thing I don't!". THIS ISN'T A JOKE. I made it, with two minutes to spare, but this was insane. I was there two hours early, it's not like I came crashing in twenty minutes before. I also watched a a young woman in line miss her flight entirely because of their slow check-in, and the desk people just looked at her and shrugged. Their lack of service and support was unbelievable and unacceptable. There is a reason these flights are so cheap, and I saw it all firsthand.
Cons: Seats are hard and didn't move. Could maneuver to reach items that slipped to the floor. Very uncomfortable for a four hour flight. Pull down table was very very small, and had sharp surfaces that would scratch my computer case. Stewards did not stop to offer water. Shameless marketing of food items and credit cards. The only reason we booked with Frontier is because of the nonstop to DC to fly a 90+ year old. Not looking to return flight and will never do again.
Pros: The times I didn't fly with Frontier
Cons: Had a long layover and watched the employee at the counter yell at about 90% of the people who asked her a question. When it was time to board there was no organization between each zone, so zone 4 started boarding with zone 1.
Pros: I liked the team of flight attendants and crew.
Cons: The seats are just not comfortable. I've traveled on buses in India that were more comfortable. There's limited room and space between seats, which is frustrating as well. Plus, everything is an incremental charge/fee. Charging for bags whether they're checked or not, is not good customer service. It's inconvenient and I don't particularly like being charged for small incidentals such as coffee, juice or soda. It's another inconvenience for the customer to reach under their already cramped seat for their wallet to pay. Plus the crew of flight attendants is slowed down by the payment process. I consider this bad customer service overall by Frontier. Poor crew. I suspect they're equally as frustrated with having to indicated that everything is offered for a fee.
Pros: I have to say the employees do provide the best customer service they can. Everyone was very nice, and I was offered vouchers to appease me.
Cons: My return flight was canceled about a week before. The alternative I was offered was no good, so I had to rebook on another airline for a lot of money. The outgoing flight was delayed by 3 hours. Won't be booking with Frontier again unless I have lots of flexibility in terms of time.
Cons: Price is fairly high for what constitutes "budget" flying. Charges for carry-on luggage is laughable given the high cost of a ticket--costs as much as Delta, but without all of the amenities. The plane was dirty (tray table had something brown and sticky, and seat was covered in crumbs). This experience is also on par with the previous Frontier experience I had, where the plane was dirty, and we sat on the tarmac for an hour after landing at Denver. All in all, terrible, and I will avoid flying with Frontier if at all possible in the future.
Pros: We got there and back safely; the pilots seemed competent; the flight attendants were pleasant enough.
Cons: Very uncomfortable and narrow seats. Carry-on AND checked bag fees; even water on the plane (poured it into a plastic cup, not a bottle) was $2.50! I didn't realize that this airline upcharges for every possible item so the ticket wasn't as cheap as I thought once I included about $60 in baggage fees. I also folded and paid $28 to choose a seat on my return flight since you have to pay to choose ANY seat, otherwise you end up in the middle. Unless there's a serious fare difference (including all the upcharges) for future flights I will not plan to fly Frontier again.
Cons: I will NEVER fly frontier again! Besides the unexpected high extra fees the day of travel totalling about $100, my seat being reassigned without any explanation or apology and no entertainment being available, the horrible customer service on board was insurmountable. The flight attendants disrespected several passengers directly and complained about several passengers in a degrading manner to one another, a conversations that i could hear from my seat in thhe 1st row of the cabin. When one passenger had too much luggage on board one flight attendant said to him "the world is not all about you". They complained about a passenger who answered them "yes" instead of "yes please". When giving the safety instruction demonstration one flight attendant made an uncomfortable comment/joke about how a "fat person" had been wearing the life jacket before her. At one point in the flight an elderly man used the resrroom and when he returned to his seat two flight attendants made complaints about the smell and made a spectacle of using several different air fresheners while laughing and complaining about the situation. I could continue to go on with the disgraceful behavior i saw. I am so glad that i did not have to interact with them directly myself. I have never seen such unprofessional and abusive behavior by flight attendants. I am very disapppinted with the experience and will never fly with Frontier again.
Cons: My step son (Matt Altizer) couldn't make the flight due to his wife's illness and they won't refund his money. He went through all the steps and all they would do is give him credit for the next 90 days. How can we get Frontier to understand? Good customer service would give a full refund. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Ron Bierman
Cons: Seats are so unpadded it was like sitting 3 hours on a board. Mini-tray tables are difficult to use. I had to pay another $84 for seats and one carry-on bag before I could get a boarding pass. I did not see these costs disclosed before I booked the ticket. They do not serve ANYTHING, drinks or food, unless you buy it. The overhead light was burned out and I could not read. The flight was 45 minutes late. Our adjacent flight passengers were told to use the bathroom before they got on the plane because they would only have one working bathroom on the flight. NEVER AGAIN
Cons: The day after arriving at our destination, our return trip was canceled: "due to day-of-travel flight cancellation or traveler no-show." I can assure you, we did show; I had the pictures. They tried to put us on an earlier flight, which was not convenient, due to travel plans made 8 months prior, so the return flight was scheduled for the next day (again, inconvenient, due to loss of income). Frontier attempted to charge me for the extra day. After I complained multiple times, they finally waived the additional charge when I reminded them I was NOT the one who canceled the original flight. My daughter and I were provided $100 travel vouchers, each, for the "inconvenience." Frontier can keep their $200.
Pros: I didn't even know there were air carriers who required checkin online and arriving to airport 2 hours in advance - I feel Frontier should have a huge RED warning in Kayak "check this airlines policy! They aren't the norm." Maybe their low cost model requires that most of us can't follow these and will incur fees. Also says in terms & conditions that they can bump you for any reason as flights are overbooked as a business policy. Frontier doesnt "participate" in TSA Pre - despite press reports that it would be added in Sept. (never even knew a carrier had a role except merely printing the Known Traveller number) anyway my flight cost, bc I paid to choose a seat, had a carryon & two suitcases, was similar to other airlines. I guess I appreciate a barebones model for those who need it, and the flight itself was short & perfectly fine...but frankly this airlines terrifies me and is way outside the norm - it should NOT be grouped with other reputable lost cost carriers like Southwest.
Cons: Airport arrival. No TSA Pre. Bag fees. Terms & conditions say they can bump you anytime.
Pros: The flight was smooth, despite heavy turbulence. Flight attendants kept their composure despite very irate passengers.
Cons: This was a memorably bad experience in being at the wrong end of incompetent management. While at the departure gate, the Frontier rep at the kiosk informed everyone in overly casual vernacular that, "looks like the flight will be delayed an hour or so because the crew feels tired, and doesn't want to fly another leg, so we're going to try try to find another crew." In other words, you'll be late not because of weather or anything out of Frontier's managerial control. Quite the opposite - you'll be arriving late because we're incompetent at organizational management of human resources. An hour and fifteen minutes delay followed, with some confusion. Arriving in DC, we enjoyed that same fresh honesty when the Captain announced, upon pulling aside the gate, that, "Folks I'm not sure what's taking the gate crew so long, but there doesn't seem to be anyone pushing the ramp out for us to exit - please hold tight." That was after 10 minutes of mysterious inaction. Another 30-40 followed. Finally, after an accidental "ping" that prompted passengers to stand--only to be told to sit back down as the plane wasn't affixed yet to the gate--everyone stood on the second, correct announcement to offload. If only. They then tried to get passengers to sit back down b/c a different Frontier crew and a pilot needed, from their middle seats, to get off first. Passengers started booing. I've seen a flight like that. Didn't even describe one truly out-of-line passenger up front who lost his temper and refused to comply. Again - a very memorable experience. And not in a good way.
Pros: Getting off the plane
Cons: The plane, the crew (who beyond being unfriendly managed to racially profile the gentleman sitting behind me and question him unnecessarily for using the camera on his phone for "security" reasons), the nickel and diming for everything
Pros: The staff were friendly and everything went smoothly during the trip.
Cons: The seats have very little legroom, the trays are about the size of a small book, and the seats don't recline. These planes weren't made to maximize comfort, but the prices are typically the lowest if you're excluding things like checked luggage and seat selection fees.
Pros: Sure, the price is good and the flights direct.
Cons: What kind of actual airline won't even give you get a dinky glass of diet coke or cup of coffee without paying for it? And a $40 checked bag fee at the airport? I get that these foregone luxuries are what allows the prices to be low, but it's just not worth it to spend the whole flight feeling completely unappreciated, uncomfortable, and nicked-and-dimed. My friend even prepaid for a reserved window seat, and was told upon arrival that the seat was someone else's. They said they'd refund her, but obviously that was not the outcome she wanted nor originally paid for. Not to mention no entertainment, no earbuds, not even a semi-comfortable head rest of any kind. I'll shell out the $50 or whatever more next time to feel like I'm not getting ripped off. Also, flights both ways were delayed, but the staff still feels the need to shame you for not showing up at the original boarding time.
Cons: The plane is uncomfortable, crowded, I have paying for baggage and water and seat assignments. I would rather know all of the costs upfront. One customer brought so much luggage on the plane that they took up an entire overhead bin, leaving the rest of the passengers who paid for luggage without any space. The crew did nothing about this. I am frustrated with Frontier based on my last several experiences flying with them, and will look for another airline next time. Also, Frontier doesn't do TSA pre-check, which is annoying since it is a service I've already paid for.
Cons: The plane was not cleaned before we got on. There was trash all over the floor and food and gum on one of the trays next to us.
Pros: I am a frequesnt flyer on all Major airlines and very frequent business traveler. This is the First and LAST time I will fly Frontier
Cons: I am a frequesnt flyer on all Major airlines and very frequent business traveler. This is the First and LAST time I will fly Frontier
Pros: Finally landing at 2:00 am with my luggage finally showing up
Cons: 1. 4:30pm flight had a FOUR hour delay!! No communication as to why. Empty plane finally arrived. 2. Got back east at 2am on a Sunday night, yet still had a long wait in an abandoned airport for luggage. 3. Got scammed by LOW ticket price, and then RIPPED OFF by exorbitant baggage fees...bringing the low price right back up there. 4. I could have paid another airline the same $$, and gotten FREE water and a magazine! Nickel and dimed everything. 5. Difficult to rate staff, because with no service, no interaction...except to 'fasten your seatbelt'. Boarding was boarding. Nothing to rate. 6. Offered $$ off my next flight b/c of the delay, but it expired in 60 days...REALLY? Yeah, the average Joe who flies this airline will SURELY be traveling again in a few months. LAME. Not worth the risk of flying this airline again, IMO.
Cons: No where when I was booking my flight was stated that I would have to pay to reserve a seat. I understand paying more for extra leg room but charging just to pick a seat in the back of the plane is rediculous and makes me never want to fly frontier anymore. I usually love flying frontier, but it makes me pick another airline. The flight was delayed 3 hours and I understand that things happen, but we were never told why our flight was delayed. The flight attendants were OK this trip. Usually I find Frontier flight attendants to be very friendly and seems to love their jobs, but this flight they were not the friendliest.
Pros: Was nice we got a voucher for a meal while delayed... Airport passed out water and granola bars a couple of times Mats and Blankets were passed out.. not near enough and had to sleep on the floor!!!!
Cons: The VERY long lines for changes.. seems like could have had more stafff to help out??? or something easier on line for changes??? Tried the web site several times to get updates and info and could not access.. guess too many at one time??? Don't know the answer.... hard to understand why Frontier not flying out day after when other airlines are??? I don't fly much - REALLY hard to look forward to looking forward to future times when things happen... realize the snow storm wasn't their fault.. BUT...
Pros: When I landed in Washington. *On my previous, outbound, flight to Denver, one of your crew members handled a medical emergency very professionally.
Cons: Delay after delay brought our flight into Washington at an unacceptably late hour. No apologies or acknowledgment of the immense burden it put on passengers. I understand that technical difficulties happen, but on any other airline there would be steps taken to at least appear as though they valued their customers. My seat mate ordered a tea, and was charged the $3, and that bugged me a bit....we arrived at 2am, over 4 hours late, and there isn't a policy to comp a $3 tea? A simple, "hey its on the house" would have given an appearance of understanding. Simple policy change may actually help retain a few patrons here and there. I do not plan on flying Frontier again.
Cons: There was no mention of a delay while boarding but it took an extra 40 minutes to get started. There were storms in dc and our plane had to be redirected to a different airport. We were not given accurate information or updated with any frequency. We would be told more information is coming in 15 minutes, then sit for an hour and hear nothing. i could not update my driver that was at the original destination airport. While stuck on the plane at the new airport we were told we could not get off the plane or we would not be allowed back on and if we decided to get off and drive we could not get our checked bags. Snacks were not offered for hours and more than one flight attendant said they were out of everything and running out of water. When they finally offered food, full price was still the only option and they had everyone line up in the back of the plane, blocking both lavatories. Half way through the line we were told we could close the doors and prepare to take off and everyone remaining was sent back to their seat. We waited another half hour to actually take off.
Pros: I just plain like the Frontier method as it has been done for years. The pricing, seating, employees and most everything else just works.
Cons: I've traveled with Frontier for years and on previous flights to DCA, I thought I should blame the baggage claim delay on the airport. Now I am told it is a Frontier responsibility and I am livid. It gets worse every trip. This time it took an hour to get our bags and it was clearly unnecessary. The first bags came out at about 30 minutes, but after that they dribbled out with no explanation whatsoever. Someone is a real laggard and they need to be fired! This experience was so bad that it takes precedence over our previous beefs. Boarding could be much better from back to front and the new seats are terrible, but like I said, if the baggage could be fixed, I would be willing to concede a few. At this point, I am ready to jump ship to Southwest.
Pros: The gate crew was upbeat and kept everyone informed. They took a bad situation and made it bearable.
Cons: Of course, being delayed an hour is not much fun, but other than that, everyone at Frontier did a great job.
