Really hard to tell what was happening after my flight got delayed five times
I’m on this flight every other week. Same flight, same day of the week, same time of day… Multiple times there are issues getting flight plan registered and FAA approved r to take off. PAPERWORK This is exhausting and it sucks.
Chaotic boarding at these gates, multiple gates squeezed in at the very end of a concourse, behind a restaurant. Agents gave up on boarding by individual zones. Flight itself was uneventful, which is all we hope for any more.
Flight delayed due to ground hold. Republic airways did a great job.
We had a terrible experience. The flight was delayed several hours, so we missed our connection. We were told to wait at the airport. At around 11:00 pm, the flight was cancelled. There were no available seats out of Jackson for the next two days. Fortunately, we had the foresight to rebook on United for the next day. However, we had to spend a long day at the airport and an overnight at a mediocre hotel. It was a miserable way to spend part of our vacation. We also sacrificed our $450 deposit on our California hotel because we could not get there.
The flight was smooth, the crew was great but the plane was quite old
Flight was warm for first few hours and quite rough
Flight was delayed several times. At one point, they "pulled back" 15 minutes from the delayed boarding and sent a text saying we would board sooner than previously advised. The flight then was delayed again. And when we boarded, there was an unspecified technical issue which had us waiting in the plane for about an hour.
The Dekta Rep that checked us in was great. She's very personable, pleasant, and can tell she enjoys her job.
How about not delaying a red eye flight by 3 hours and causing a chain reaction of missed connecting flights
Awful!!!. I do not recommend United. The flight staff are unhappy and don't attempt to make the passengers feel comfortable or welcome. The food is not edible, and the seats are miserable. My expensive luggage was destroyed, and the ticket prices are too much for the experience.
On time, easy boarding. Anytime you sit in an economy seat, it’s uncomfortable. New plane and the bathrooms were in the galley at the back of the plane which seemed odd.
Did not like the check in guy quibbling over a couple pounds at the luggage weigh in
Just having a little bit more legroom would've been nice.
This is related to my second leg of the flight, from Washington DC to SFO. I understand things happen, but I got home at 3 am for a 12:59 am landing. I live 10 min from the airport. Bridge breaks when a few rows of the plane are off? Maintenance didn’t catch that?
Great Brasilia aircraft - not a Boeing 757 like the next part of the flight. Flight from MCI to IAD was great, on-time, comfortable, did I mention that? The flight from IAD to EDI was painful. One of the reasons I won't fly United again? Boeing 757, with a seat pitch and material that was horrendous. Worst aircraft ever, made worse by United sardine-can tight seating. Oh, and the connection window, 45 minutes, really? At IAD, in different concourses? What idiot came up with that flight scenario? Happily, (for me and my travel insurance people) the flight was late (reminiscent of American Airlines). The crew was professional and courteous.
No drink service but there was no N/A as an option to choose. Seats were extremely tight. I am under 5.5 and I bumped my knees have no idea how taller people could manage.
Was 4 1/2 hours delayed. No food options, poor entertainment and cramped seats made worse by people in front reclining while we could not as in back row.
Ok, but comfort was lacking as the seats were way to small
The stewardess was excellent. Very accommodating in a quiet way, which was appreciated. The only thing that could have been better was the choice of snacks. Chips, cookies, etc. weren't an ideal way to start my day on a 7:00 a.m. flight. Offering fresh fruit, yogurt, or other breakfast foods would be great. 😁
As per usual for my flights with American Airlines, One flight was very delayed and caused me to miss my connection and they moved my flight to another day. I called customer support and was moved back to my original day but different flights. My layover flight was delayed by an additional 30 minutes while the flight crew confirmed that the plane was airworthy. Ultimately, it is less hassle to drive 10 hours than to fly 6 hours with American Airlines. I recommend my friends and family to hitch hike over taking this terrible transit.
My flight was delayed close to 10 times over the course of the evening. I was originally scheduled to depart at 7:03 PM but did not leave until 12:33 AM, resulting in over 9 hours spent waiting at the airport. The only explanation provided was that the aircraft kept being swapped, with no clear reasoning as to why. Weather conditions at both DCA and Tampa were clear, so that was not a factor. The only accommodation offered was a $12 food voucher, which was entirely insufficient given the length of the delay. Overall, I was completely unsatisfied with this experience. A delay of this magnitude with no meaningful communication or accommodations is unacceptable, and I would have expected much more from American Airlines in terms of customer care.
if it's a mobile only entertainment experience, please provide a place to hold the device in the back of the seat.
My flight attendant was miserable. Bathroom filthy and the water soapy in the tea. I’d choose delta everytime.
DCA-LAX No screen on a 5 hour flight (almost) no food for sale on a 5 hour flight (practically) no wifi coverage or speed on a 5 hour flight I should have gotten my money back, shame on American
I had ridiculously long body search because I have knee and hip replacements
Cancelled the flight half hour before boarding. Then cancelled the connecting flight too.
Most things were ok but the main problem was the cabin staff; they were very abrupt and not very friendly. They were busy and often rushed, snatching drinks off people before finished and bossing them about.
The flight was as good as it gets when flying. On time departure and arrival plus no lost luggage.
Horrible! Got stuck in Jackson Hole and the plane kept delaying every 30 min until they finally cancelled the flight. Other airlines were busy flying out and American had cancelled. Horrible experience, we had to switch to United to get out of there!
