Pros: "Although we ended up being stuck on the plane for 2 hours prior to take off due to high volume, weather and as the pilot put it, "possible military activity" the crew kept us informed every step of the way. There was one flight attendant in particular who was so full of energy and made the unfortunate circumstances not so bad. She entertained us and kept us in the loop the entire time as did the pilots. It made the 2 hours not feel so bad which was appreciated."

I dont fly as often, the seats space seems to be getting smaller. 5. I sat next an overweight person. I didn't like my personal space violated. 6. The flight offer movies, I slept. Yet kept getting elbowed by this overweight neighbor. 7. I am a single, independent person. I prefer to sit near the front. First on and settled and 1st off and gone!"

Cons: "The flight attendant could not serve coffee or tea due to "no potable water" onboard! The electric outlets at each of our first class seats were not functional, both the USB ports and the electric plugs did not work so we were not able to charge our phones during the flight. When I mentioned this to the flight attendant her response was that she had not received a report that the electric was not working. No other assistance was offered. There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky."

Cons: "The plane was terrible. Trim pieces falling off the seats. In very rough shape. The crew did ok, nothing terrible but the service was mediocre and they were very stingy with the snacks and drinks."

The practice of getting us on the plane to make us wait shhould be stopped. It will creat a much more relaxed and smooth delay if we are allowed to be in the terminal."

Pros: "I had the opportunity to send my carry on to the final destination. The flight was overbooked and there was no place to put carry on on the top place."
Cons: "I did not have the chance to choose my seat. I traveled sandwiched by two overweighted guys. I was holding my arms and was literally compressed by the gentlemen. Horrible experience. If I had the chance to choose my seat I would pick the corridor, and had a little less embarrassment and sweating."

The flight attendants were very nice and gave good customer service. Although our flight was delayed due to unable to get clearance the staff kept us informed and the pilot was able to make up some time. Overall a good flight."

Cons: "Multiple delays, from 8:15 to 8:49 to 9:05 to 9:39 to 10:12 to 10:19 to 10:25. I am not joking. Honestly, if the delay is due to 'maintenance' for an incoming plane that has not left its originating destination, why quote any time at all? The check in rep did provide an announcement at 8:15 that although the time of departure had moved to 9:05 , he did not see how that was possible since our plane was on the ground in Richmond undergoing maintenance. I was in LGA. When I heard that, I changed to another flight, so the outcome was not as bad as it could have been. I am aware of these other times since my email is packed with Delta's notifications, which I welcome usually."

Cons: "The fact that we wait on the tarmac for an extended period of time before we were informed that we had too much fuel so we had to burn off fuel before we could take off."

Cons: "As I came into the airport I went to a kiosk to check in and the attendant at the kiosk basically took over my passport and started pushing buttons that I never asked her to push. I eventually got my boarding passes only to find I wasn’t assigned a seat for the first flight and I will get it later at the gate. After getting through security my name was called for a extra security screening which I thought was interesting since I have Global Entry and am an American citizen. Weird. Because my name was called I had to get to the gate early. Upon arriving to the gate the gate agent confirmed I have extra security screening and she would assign my seat soon. After waiting some time she assigned me to a middle seat in the last row of the plane! After boarding someone came and sat next to me that was overweight and should have been charged for 2 seats. With such a long flight it’s the least American can do."

Cons: "Flight delayed almost two hours due to computer problems. Seat pitch (room for knees) very limited, felt like I was packed in like a sardine. Crew should have provided refreshments (not just tepid water) and snacks during the delay. Pilot announced computer problem solved and remaining passengers would be boarding in fifteen minutes which turned out to be closer to an hour."

Cons: "Background info: we flew from Dublin to Toronto (Aer Lingus) and we were supposed to fly Toronto to Los Angeles on American Airlines; however, we had a British Airways flight number for both of these flights. We missed our connecting flight in Toronto with American Airlines (we had a 2 hour layover) despite landing on-time (de-boarded a few minutes late). I suggest avoiding the Toronto airport ALWAYS as every passenger must pick up his/her luggage even if you have a connecting flight, and then re-check the baggage with the next flight. Apparently the baggage handlers were on strike and some of the customs agents as well which added to the delays. Well, after going through Canadian customs and picking up our luggage (which took quite awhile) we arrived at the American Airlines ticketing kiosk about 45 minutes before our flight. The computer told us we were too late for this flight and to see a representative. We proceeded to wait in line for an American Airlines representative only to be told this was Aer Lingus' fault (we had just flown with them); even though we had a BA flight number.. After searching for an Aer Lingus representative we were finally told they were probably all on the Aer Lingus flight that was currently about to leave. An Aer Lingus representative was paged to the ticketing counter (took well over 30 minutes for anyone to show up) and what proceeded was an argument (for well over an hour) between British Airways and Aer Lingus representatives about whose responsibility it was to re-book us. After an hour at least of poor customer service, we were finally rebooked by British Airways on the last flight to LAX (on Air Canada). Moral of the story: avoid Toronto and fly direct."

Also, charging $125 for a carry-on pet that has to stay under the seat AND having it count towards as one of my two "free" carry-ons is ridiculous. The flight was delayed because one of the crew was late."

Cons: "When we bought our tickets we asked about how much time to allow between the London flight and our connection to Knoxville. We booked expecting to take the early connection if we could get thru customs early enough. We did, asked for boarding passes and were told it would cost $150.00 to take the earlier flight...so we sat for more than 3 hours waiting for our connection, after buying over $2,000 in airfare, traveling for 24 hours and seeing a partly empty plane leave Charlotte for Knoxville. We were the given the back two non reclining seats on the flight, even though we had booked weeks in advance...so no we felt very let down at the end of a difficult trip."
