Cons: "Tired aircraft! Even though I’m a premium Star alliance member they still only allow one carry on. I am on a round the world business class trip and I never check luggage. I have a carry on and a small personal briefcase and was forced to check my carry on. Never again will I fly Air India."

Cons: "The Air India checkin staff at Jodhpur airport tried to charge me for 7 kgs when the actual extra baggage was 4 kgs. When I told him so, he agreed but made me wait for a very long time before he checked in. I wish Air India trained their front end customer facing staff in curtesy, decency and how to correctly measure and charge for extra baggage. The Air India aircraft used for flight from Jodhpur to Delhi was very primitive"

Cons: "Food was not good at all. Entertainment screen kept shutting off all the time. Crew booted a few times but kept shutting off. No Wi Fi on the plane. All major airlines have Wi Fi these days. It was surprising that Air India had no WiFi service while going as well as coming back to New York."

Cons: "Most of the televisions (the only source of entertainment in flight) were out of order or the sound was not working. The staff was not even courteous to reply back politely to problems in the flight. The bathrooms were gross with no toilet papers."
Cons: "Entertainment on one of our seats was not working as the pin to plug in the Headphone was MISSING on the seat handle. The tray tables were chipped off / taped to put them together and they were still slanting which did not help in keeping anything on the table without it sliding towards you. Crew service was mediocre and not friendly except for a couple of members. We have found better and tastier INDIAN food provided by foreign airlines. They also did not have basics like Club Soda/Ginger Ale/regular Sprite or 7 Up."

Cons: "They cancelled the returned flight from Delhi although we learned later that the flight started late. Gave a connection with 17 hrs of total layover. We came back almost 2 days later. The personnel in Kolkata were the worst. We waited 5 hrs in the airport to but still did not get confirmation. Had to go to the city office next day and from there run to the airport. never had an experience like this."

The flight attendants kept one lavatory locked for their own use. The food was mediocre,. The lavatories were not cleaned. I have been in many other carriers and the flight attendants maintained the lavatories. Flight attendants were not helpful with placing or locating spaces for carry on luggagess. No simple amenities provided like socks , earplugs, or eye cover like other airlines. The seats were falling apart, fabric was torn. I have to give credit to the person who assisted in issuing me a new booking due to a snag with name. However, I was placed in a different line after being issued a boarding pass without further explanation. Every other passenger in the same queue were perplexed like me . Air India badly needs to up their ante. Customer service is poor overall. Seriously makes me wonder how aircraft safety and maintenance is performed."

I asked the crew a number of times to get me immigration form at the time of landing in India, they did not get me. They distributed on one side of the isle. One of the crew members said that we do not need it. When I landed at Mumbai airport, the first thing they asked was immigration form. The staff should be trained properly. 3. The TVs are outdated. They should be replaced with latest world class models. 4. While coming back from New Delhi, we were not served any food for 8 hours continuously. There were no snacks, sandwiches, peanuts or chips. I asked a crew member for peanuts and he said that they do not have."

Cons: "It would have been nice to dim the lights so people could sleep, offer water more than once during a 15 hour flight (that's right - beverage service ONE TIME in 15 hours), not take 30 min to clear out garbage after meals, and notice when you step on the passengers foot... 3 times. Also, the bathroom ran out of toilet paper twice, the personal entertainment tv shuts off randomly throughout the flight, the food was salty (further dehydrating), and plane is dirty."

Cons: "Lack of maintenance of the interior and it's below par condition. Entertainment gets zero points since the system all along was crashing. Not all overhead reading lights were working. Food was horrible: The chicken meal was extremely spicy - I am of Indian origin and know spice: the salad was dry and the lettuce wiled; the bread was as cold as it could be! My worst experience on any international carrier to date. On my earlier flight from JKF to DEL on 2/25/17, the experience and frustration was the same - the same assessment."
