Instead of waiting for 22 hours for the next available flight, or driving for 7 hours from Atlanta to Cincinnati, we had to fly into another city and drive to Cincinnati from there AT OUR OWN EXPENSE. It was a rebooking nightmare."
Pros: "The crew was amazing. We had a two hour delay on the ground due to thunderstorms, but the pilot kept us informed and the flight attendants answered any questions and helped with everything. The pilot even walked down the isle asking people if they had any questions."

Delta has a new policy that these tickets are not allowed to have certain privileges that tickets purchased on their own site have. Unbeknown to us, one of these is the ability to select your seat. On the ride from CVG to FLL we were assigned seats in the back of the plane, but at least we were next to each other. On the way back, we were not assigned a seat at all. We arrived to the airport almost 4 hours before the flight and were still not assigned a seat and were told we would have to speak to the gate agent. Even we when spoke to the gate agent, they still did not have a seat. It was not until we had already started the boarding process that they called us up and told us that we were going to be sitting 5 rows apart, both in a middle seat."

BA booked me on the flight but failed to change my ticket from the original flight causing me to miss the flight from Kansas City. At the airport BA agent told me on the phone that I would have to wait 3 more days after I had already waited 3 days because BA canceled my original flight. Because of the flight cancelation I missed two days of work and because of the failure to ticket my following flight I almost missed a full week of work. The BA booking person seemed content that there was no way I could make it to Saudi prior to the end of the week. Fortunately, the AA agent was able to find a way for me to continue my trip on a later flight."

The tray tables were small and no locks/ the attendant asked me to make sure my 9month old boy didn't play with it as it "annoys patrons" however they put it low and easy reach. One flight attendant was rude and the other was great."

Cons: "I arrived at DAI at 6 am for a 7:35 AM flight today to CVG. The line probably had over 300 ppl in it! The Frontier staff kept telling everyone to get in line. What she should have been asking is where they were going, as not everyone needed to get in that terribly long line! After realizing I didn't need to be in the line, I got out, went to the kiosk (most of which were unused) , got my boarding pass and on I went to TSA. You need more staff, and staff who know how to manage the crowds to make this run more efficiently."
Pros: "I like that the pilots were careful of the storms around us. Flew around the worst. Approached the airport with the least turbulence. Our flight was 45 minutes late, but that was because the plane coming in was 45 min late. An airline can not control the weather, but I do appreciate knowing they take the safest precautions even if it costs more for fuel to fly around the storms. The plane was clean. The stewards were pleasant and smiled."
Cons: "I hate being nickeled and dimed. I think Frontier did make one change since my last flight. They gave someone a free glass of water - which I think was a good compromise. I don't mind being charged for drinks - even sodas - but water is too basic when poured into a glass. I did like if we had to pay for overhead luggage at least we boarded first to be able to store it. Although, being charged for a piece of overhead luggage to the point of adding $70 to the ticket for roundtrip - may remove Frontier from my idea of being a budget airline. Southwest with free luggage still looks good to me."
Pros: "After reading a number of the negative responses posted by of other travelers I went back and looked at the initial booking: dates, times, upgrades and fares for our two round trip tickets. I can only explain the difference in our positive experience and their bad ones in that by making my initial choices on those specific dates and times and that by choosing to purchase the upgrade we had a good outcome. It’s the business model, if you use a site like Kayak use the filters. If you choose the lowest price as your default you get what you pay. Actually, about a week prior to our round trip my wife had flown to San Diego one-way and that one-way ticket actually cost her about $3 more on a different carrier than both of our two round trip tickets combined (before the upgrades) on Frontier. Had I been stuck in the back of the plane, in a middle seat, without priority “zone 1” boarding and had I been surprised with having to pay extra for both our checked and carry-on baggage at the counter I would not have been a happy camper either. I guess if you start out the process by only looking for the (best/ lowest?) price, then it comes down to this; what is more painful, paying for the upgrades or the hell of the cattle car."

I will never attempt to fly Frontier again."

With bus delays, I walked up to the ticket counter at 9:24pm to retrieve my ticket. Flight leaves at 10:00pm. The attendant tells me I missed my flight by 9min because you have to check in at least 45min early and that there was no way I could board. I asked if the plane had already left, he said that it had not. No good answer as to why I couldn't be accommodated. I explained my qualms about the online check-in but it was pointless. I had to fly with another airline which costs me $367.00 to book. Terrible customer service and no leeway or understanding whatsoever."

Because the cost was just as expensive to carry on and the flight was clearly full (since I did not learn until just days before boarding that I had to purchase a seat), I was concerned about my bag being somewhere else on the plane AFTER I paid to have it with me. In the future, I will stick with higher quality airlines in which I know what the cost is up front and I get a soda without pulling out a credit card."

They did not recline, include a tray table (the flight attendant referred to it as a "tray tablet"), or have any form of entertainment on or in the seat back. Common customer courtesies such as beverage services and snacks were not complimentary, leaving many passengers on my 5 hour flight with a dry mouth. The flight attendants, though able to find a way to channel their obvious frustrations into humor, were clearly not enjoying their jobs. Customers were not snapped at, but were oftentimes spoken to in a short manner. I'm assuming they're thinking they could be better compensated with a rival airline, instead of one that charges for soda."
