Cons: Flight was delayed 2 hours because of something in the laboratory and they didn’t tell us until 20 minutes after we were supposed to board. Crew did not care about the inconvenience one bit.
Pros: Alaska air has WiFi for customers and comfortable seats which is awesome
Cons: I heard a kid ask for sparkling cider! That would be so awesome at least during holiday traveling for the month of November thru January
Cons: Boarding is not very organized.
Pros: The crew was great. I love the hot tea selection on Alaska.
Pros: Was a nice flight all around.
Cons: One first class passenger was served a little to much alcohol. He got pretty loud but nothing was done to quiet him down. That was the only bad thing.
Pros: Good boarding process even when every seat was full.
Cons: More legroom. Not asking for a ton, but at least another 2 inches. My knees were killing me by the time we landed, & it was only a 3 hr flight.
Cons: Boarding can be little more faster
Pros: Very helpful and sweet staff
Pros: Crew was great
Pros: Biscoff cookies are the best please never stop serving them!
Cons: We were almost treated as if we were stand by people instead of paid passengers. They didn't give us seats until the last minute because we used saver prices... Because i found a bargain price i get treated as lesser? Not cool.
Pros: They could’ve told us we needed to download the app for free entertainment prior to leaving the ground, but other than that I was very please. Alaska Airlines is always great to fly.
Pros: Helpful friendly flight attendants and informative pilot
Cons: Very poor internet
Pros: The flight was on time, turbilance very little and the captain gave good info. Flight crew friendly and very nice. This was a first time flight with them but not the last I will book more flights
Pros: Crew was very pleasant.
Cons: Spent an hour attempting to get the "free" wifi to work on two different devices on my round trip flights. It is probably not the airline's fault, but with that being said, it was extremely inconvenient.
Pros: Crew announced that we were on the "Salmon Thirty Salmon" plane with the salmon paint job. It was a fun thing to experience.
Pros: Attendants were negligent. Asked for water many times, but didn't get any response. They were busy chit chatting. Internet - only 20 mb , that too for 2 hours continuous. Food was not that good. And only 2 meals for 14 hr flight!!
Cons: Attendants were negligent. Asked for water many times, but didn't get any response. They were busy chit chatting. Internet - only 20 mb , that too for 2 hours continuous. Food was not that good. And only 2 meals for 14 hr flight!!
Cons: When we were birding they were meeting people board ahead of other based on whether they were wearing SF Giants wear or not. Choice in sports team should not effect the flight. It was discriminatory.
Cons: The seats keep getting smaller and Americans keep getting larger. Not a fan!
Pros: Flight was easy boarding, took off on time, landed on time
Cons: Was nervous regarding the announcement they made before the flight. Everyone was to stay in their assigned seat due to the lack of people on the flight. They needed to balance off the plane. We were afraid to get up and walk around. Wasn't happy about being placed in the back of the plane because it was so LOUD.
Pros: Friendly and helpful. Let my son sit in the pilots seat!!
Pros: As bout as relaxing and enjoyable as a tall guy can have on a flight!
Pros: Great price, good flight.
Cons: On our flight to Seattle there was a flight attendant who looked a little annoyed with her day, but hey, we all have days. She didn’t treat me any different than anyone else.
Pros: I think better than other airlines. Provided a snack, beverages and wine for purchase. Very friendly team. I had no problems. I really appreciate the late flight from PDX to PHX on weekdays. It is very convenient for work related travel. I don't think any other airline flight back to PHX that late. I also appreciate that they offer power, free limited WIFI (to text/send messages).
Cons: I did not really dislike anything. I think it was a good experience overall. However, there is room for improvement for all airlines. It would be nice to see more comfortable seats, additional amenities and lower prices. I bought the last minute ticket one war PDX to PHX for $500. I think that was a little expensive, even for last minute traveling.
Cons: - There was a delay in boarding. - One of the crew wasn’t that professional when it came to reminding people to follow certain things. (We just simply did not hear the announcement!) And the reason probably was that we were the only teenagers (without adults) on that flight.
Pros: Liked the free entertainment app
Pros: Very smooth flight. Crew was very humble and nice. Will most definitely fly Alaskan again!
Cons: Flight attendant could've been more nice. Only using half a coke can then throwing it away. I would've drank it all.
Pros: Loading was efficient
Cons: Lazy staff, cannot even get you water and tell you to wait for the cart. No good food options for purchase and snacks are bad. Nothing special about this airline
Pros: Great trip lots of leg room. Very lovely
Cons: No tv
Cons: Baggage delay inconvenience.
Pros: The flight attendants were so kind and helpful, especially with those who had heavier carry ons
Pros: Although we were a little behind schedule to leave Seattle, the flight crew thoroughly explained the delay to us and got us on the way as soon as they could.
Cons: By this time in my trip, my day had been so long, and I was still so upset over how late we were due to some selfish individuals and an airline catering to them, that I was not capable of assessing the flight. Icelandair did lose my check baggage. Which means that out of three times I have flown with Icelandair, they have lost my checked baggage twice. Another reason I doubt I will ever use Icelandair again.
Cons: long delay before depaarture
Pros: Direct flight.
Cons: Do not like the biscuit cookies. They taste awful.
Cons: Flight was delayed, not too long, but always seems to happen when I fly Alaska out of Sea-Tac!
Pros: I loved how fast I got my luggage at the baggage claim. I was very impressed.
Pros: The staff
Pros: Staff was polite, and flight attended were also nice.
Cons: I understand short distance flights don't get a lot of selection for food, but it would be nice to have a better selection. This is more so on late night flights.
Pros: The flight attendants and gate agent were outstanding.
Cons: The food choice (a cookie).
Pros: Alaska boards from the back of the plane forward which makes boarding fast. We were all loaded and ready to go 15 minutes before departure time. Seats were roomy and each had a plug for charging phones/ipads, etc.
Pros: Fast, friendly, convenient
Pros: Alaska Airlines is the best.
Pros: Delay, Plane workers kept say " that bag has to go underneath" to people as they walked down the aisles like fill Sargents. Do they know the word "please"?
Pros: Leg room! Way better than delta!
Pros: Fairly smooth flight
Cons: One of the attendants seemed to be a little grumpy
Cons: The USB port on the seatback in front of me did not work.
Pros: The crew was great and the flight was smooth.
Cons: NA. Alaska Air is definitely a great company
Pros: Very nice crew, quickly boarded and smooth flight!
Pros: Seat was not comfortable for a 3hr flight. Was very disappointed
Cons: Seat, tv, choices, flight attendants speech articulation.
Cons: Seats are tight
Cons: Needed assistance for limited mobility to make connections at ATL was not provided. Caused us to miss connections and had two falls trying to get around. Air France was terrible. Very limited food and beverage service left us hungry and thirsty on 7 to 10 hour flights.
Pros: It was a safe journey good rest and a very smooth operation
Cons: More vegan options
Pros: Service was ok not a big deal. Could've had a accommodate us for the 2 hour delay
Cons: 2 hour delay...and once in seat it was too hot with traffic of planes in front of us.
Cons: Was not offered a drink in first class prior to take off.
Pros: Flight crew was ok and boarding was really quick
Cons: Terminal 2 security at LAX is awful and inefficient Also plane had a malfunctioning switch and it took them 1.5 hrs to fix while we are on the plane. This was 1.5 hrs delay on a 58 minutes flight. :(
Pros: Delta crews are very friendly and helpful. Seats are 'good' on the E175 plane - better than the cramped CRJ200 on some other short flights. We boarded early, left a little early and arrived early. Nothing to complain about, except maybe a crying baby behind me, but that's not Delta's fault. :)
Pros: All was good
Cons: All was good
Cons: As usual, the food is pretty mediocre even in first class. Edible but now much more .
Pros: Awesome prompt and courteous service.
Pros: Inflight movies and charging stations at every seat at the delta Gates and at every seat on the plane.
Cons: We had originally reserved a window seat and an aisle seat but when they changed our flight they put us by the window seat and the middle which we didn't like.
Cons: Got a stiff neck cause the seat would not go back. Makes it difficult to see the entertainment with my progressive lenses
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: I didn’t have anything negative to report regarding this flight.
Pros: Wi-Fi and movies to pick from, super!! Nice music while loading and unloading. Calm feeling with everyone, brilliant idea. Keep it up!
Cons: Best flight, security our always the downer in traveling.
Pros: No issues
Cons: No upgrade
Pros: Boarding was on time and the process was efficient.
Cons: The flight attendant could not serve coffee or tea due to "no potable water" onboard! The electric outlets at each of our first class seats were not functional, both the USB ports and the electric plugs did not work so we were not able to charge our phones during the flight. When I mentioned this to the flight attendant her response was that she had not received a report that the electric was not working. No other assistance was offered. There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky.
Pros: They had available seats on an earlier flight and I was able to get home super quick! My checked bag also made it which was great!
Pros: The flight was delayed by 50 minutes and then they underestimated the time to de-ice.
Pros: Not much to like
Cons: Poor customer service, panicking customers for nothing and just general lack of consideration for paying customers. Definite turn off to Delta. Not planning to use this airline agaon
Cons: The crew was late so we were delayed two hours. I find that extremely infuriating when you are a passenger and have to show up two hours before your flight. I also would lose my job if I was two hours late for a client.
Cons: My flight got delayed for twelve hours with no compensation for a hotel.
Pros: customer siervice was great and welcoming was awesome
Pros: Excellent Detroit crew
Pros: On time departure; good updates by flight deck; luggage arrived unscathed.
Cons: Once beverage service was complete, flight attendants retreated to the back of the plane. On a 4-hour flight, it would have been nice to have someone come by and ask if we needed anything, such as water, coffee, or juice. Granola bar was good.
Cons: It was freezing cold on that flight. Cold air from side panels above the windows was blasting in our faces.
Cons: Got stuck for two hours sitting in the plane because the computer systems went down.
Pros: Very friendly staff and the onboard meals were surprisingly good. Korean Air may quite possibly be my favorite airline.
Pros: Tv on flight
Cons: Flight attendant skipped me for drinks
Pros: Got a window seat, my luggage arrived with me
Pros: Fast boarding, everyone nice.
Cons: Wifi was yo and down the whole flight, about 20 times, so kids were not entertained.
Pros: we got on another air conditioned plane
Cons: We initially were put on a plane with defective air conditioning.... it took 90 minutes to finally decide to put us on another plane. The older planes have hardly any room under the seat in the isle seats.
Pros: The flight attendants were very friendly
Pros: Crew was fantastic! Everything was satifactory and as expected.
Cons: Flight was delayed from leaving the gate due to a fuel manifest needing to be signed. My baggage was really mauled ( by TSA or by Delta baggage handlers, I don't know). One zipper on a compartment was totally torn off. Another zipper was missing its pull and was difficult to open.
Pros: EZ play newer plane nice staff
Cons: Power plugs did not work in seating row and air vents did not work
Pros: Great staff, quick service.
Pros: I got home.
Cons: Staff is ticketing were unhelpful in straightening out Boarding process. I ask for help and the agent came over and read the computer screen to me as if that was all he was there for.
Cons: The fact that seats could not be reserved ahead of time. Having them assigned at the gate is illogical and does not reward the passengers who reserve / check ahead of time. Additionally, it creates unnecessary rush at the gate.
Pros: Efficient, comfortable, on time
Cons: Boarding. Was late because 1- airplane arrive about 10 minutes late and 2-have to wait passengers coming from Orlando.
Pros: Row to myself
Pros: We were late leaving and missed our very tight connection at JFK. When we went to an agent we found we had been already rebooked on another flight through Detroit arriving 2.5 hours later than original. Our luggage was also rerouted to follow our flights and was there in Phoenix!
Cons: 45 minutes is too tight a connection in JFK when you have to change terminals even if the flight were on time!
Pros: crew was great
Pros: nice new plane, lots of room
Cons: No snacks
Cons: Good flight
Pros: crew was super friendly.
Cons: Late 2 hours
Pros: I felt safe add respected. They serve drinks and small snacks, no meals going to Hawaii, plan ahead.
Cons: The airport at Phoenix had little seating. I was funny in the floor in case someone needed a seat. Otherwise, everything was good.
Cons: extremely racist crew made the entire flight uncomfortable for everyone.
Cons: American crew and gate agents are awesome!!!!
Cons: more organized boarding
Pros: The crew was great
Pros: Flight was great
Cons: The AA crew at DFW are always rude
Cons: Need more space
Pros: Prompt boarding and good directions from the crew
Cons: AA cancelled the Dallas flight before this one so they could fill up our flight. This does not seem very considerate of our health during a Pandemic especially with their messaging about social distancing. They also did a very poor job of keeping people patient in the deplaning process. They should have better messaging and a very non threatening way of encouraging passengers to be patient and courteous. Maybe they good offer each passenger a choice some type of goodie like a mint or a chocolate that says "please enjoy this while you wait for others to exit the plane".
Pros: They looked for 18 people to get off the plane because of weight restrictions and the process was very disorganized
Pros: Great crew.
Cons: I would like the formal return of beverages and snacks. I understand the lack thereof is due to the virus. I think the airlines are doing a good job of staying within safety recommendations.
Pros: Friendly, helpful and efficient.
Cons: Almost had 3 people in a row...of people not in Same household. Luckily flight wasn't full so people moved around and made my row less crowded
Pros: Everything is good
Cons: Great flight
Pros: The fly was on time
Cons: No social distance has been practiced by AA very sad
Pros: No and no
Cons: The plane could have been maintained. Instead I sat for three hours and was told the mechanics didn’t have the equipment to fix the plane
Cons: Several people got on the flight with no face mask on. The flight was completely packed, there was no distancing at all. The boarding process required me to walk past everyone as my chair was in the back and I was last group to board (unlike other airlines that have switched to back to front boarding to reduce people coming in contact with each other) As I walked down the PACKED plane mot people had masks on incorrectly (hanging off one ear, down around their chin, nose out, etc.) some people had no mask at all and the flight attendants did nothing. It seems like they were doing nothing to keep passengers safe from COVID-19 spread. Compared to Delta, American Airlines was terrifying to fly, I find not feel safe at all.
Cons: they filled the plane. Every seat. Even though there has been covid-19 fears. No other company has started this
Pros: The crew was awesome and boarding was quick
Pros: Crew was fantastic. They offered to valet my bag as I was boarding when they saw that it was cumbersome for me. The stewardess put me in a great seat when I was helpful to another passenger upon boarding. Also everyone seemed to be quite attentive and helpful during the covid situation, where people are a bit unnerved. I appreciated the effort to make everyone happy.
Cons: The landing was a bit rough, but the rest of the flight was a dream. Definitely one of the better experiences Ive had in my 34 years of flying.
Cons: Sat cheek to jowels in middle seat. Seems like a train wreck about to happen with Covid
Pros: Only masked picking up trash during pandemic - difficult to rate crew
Cons: Organized exit vs. usual crowded chaos of passengers in a hurry
Cons: Passengers need to DISTANCE 6' and keep their masks on. Which I realize is put of the hands of American. Appreciate the fresh white bag with a bottle of water and crackers. Thank you.
Cons: Except for Ginette , the rest of the crew weren’t courteous or polite. Couldn’t wait for you to complete your meal to clear up.
Cons: Better seats, the main cabin extra seats were just like the other main cabin seats. One particular stewardess was very rude to all the passengers, while the steward Jeffery was very nice and friendly.
Cons: On the first leg of my journey, there was a card explaining how to get inflight entertainment using the aainflight.com which worked great. However the Phoenix to Eugene leg used Boingospot but there was no card in the seat pocket explaining what needed to be put in your browser to access the entertainment portal. There were only two flight attendants on the flight and, aside from the drink service, no one ever came to the back of the plane so I could ask the question. I could have used the call button but I think that should be saved for emergencies. I think the information on how to access the inflight entertainment should be in every seat pocket
Cons: I always have preferred American Airlines but they seem to have constant problems with the aircraft these days. This causes delays and missed connections. This in turn causes no breakfast or lunch or dinner opportunities. I travel with snacks in my bag at all times now just in case so I won’t get sick for lack of nourishment or water! This last flight I missed my connection altogether and had to take a shuttle home, then catch a ride back to the airport to pick up my luggage and then get my car to drive home. It was 4 hours past my expected time home.
Pros: The trip started off poorly with a day delay and rebooking hotel and car at final destination. Not to mention our final destination is San Antonio not Phoenix. We were not rebooked for a flight from PHX to SAT. But after a few hours we were finally booked. We didn’t really appreciate the 7 hour layover at 0100 in the morning and nowhere to get a meal or even coffee. However, the flight had the same crew from the night prior and they were excellent. The flight was open so we were able to get more leg room, less waiting time for the bathroom, and pretty much one on one service from our flight attendants. With all the struggle in the beginning, this particular flight was actually the best flight I have been on.
Cons: We were ok with the hotel and meal vouchers however, again, the only part of our itinerary looked at was the first flight, not the second into SAT. Had we not questioned the agent, we would have been stuck in PHX with no room, no car, and if we eventually would have gotten a flight, our reservations for car and hotel in SAT would have been cancelled and I would have been out $1700. I already lost money but it could have been worse. Basically, I am paying for a car and room that I am not currently in. Reimbursement for that would have been nice. Either way we will still travel using the travel service and this particular airline in the future.
Pros: Not much crew stayed in back almost the whole 6 1/2 hr flight and seemed not to friendly
Cons: It would have been better if they had departed when they said they were going to after a delay. Flight was delayed first 1 hr then two more hours. The airline finally posted that it would depart a 4 PM and we didn't even start boarding until 5PM. Then they tried to rush us on so that everyone was standing on the HOT jetway for 10 min waiting to get on the plane. Plane didn't take off til 5:35 PM. Over all on this trip I had three flights that were delayed. I'll think twice before taking American Air again.
Pros: The Flight crew was courteous and took care of us despite a series of extremely unfortunate circumstances.
Cons: Due to a computer malfunction we were stuck on the tarmac for some time, when it was decided to find a new gate to return to. /The tech crew eventually gave the all clear and upon returning to the tarmac, the same computer malfunction occurred, and again we had to return to the gate. This was all totaled 2.5 hours on the Tarmac. Finally, some 5 hours late we departed Miami in a different plane. Upon arrival in Phoenix, the captain wearily announced that there was no ground crew awaiting us, so we had to wait some time on the tarmac there to disembark. Never before had I heard a airline captain encourage the passengers to write a letter of complaint to his employer.
Cons: I arrived at the airport and had already checked in and had m boarding passes. For some reason they could not find me when I went to check my bag. After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again.
Pros: The crew was nice and so was the American Airlines customer service office in Phoenix
Cons: I didn’t like the male and female check in people in Portland. They sat there and watched me for an hour not telling me I could not use cash to check in my luggage at the gate after they told me it was double the amount to check it in at the gate. The sight u use on the boarding pass u download on the phone is not clear. It says baggage fee +$25.00. I thought it was 25.00 till the women in Phoenix showed me the + sign. She said “it is confusing”. I did not buy the ticket because it was for an unexpected funeral of my sister. My other sister did so I didn’t see all the stuff from Travelocity. After telling me it would be $50.00 the check in male and female at the gate saw me sitting there for an hour and never told me I couldn’t pay cash. By the time it was boarding time if a nice woman did not offer to use her credit card and I have her the $50 cash I would have missed my flight. The manager at the gate in Portland even told me I would miss my flight. The two check in staff at the gate said “well we didn’t know you only had cash” and they weren’t even concerned that I was going to miss my flight. It would of been nice of them to tell me this when I sat there for an hour after they told me They we’re doubling the price. I would of had time to go back through security, only pay $25.00 and the other nice passenger would have not had to use her credit card. Very rude and poor service especially after a sad occasion of burying your sister!
Pros: The gate attendants and on-board crew were lovely. Pilots provided info which was great and made up some of the long delay.
Cons: There is not enough space to list everything. I paid $800 for a normally $300 flight, then paid an extra $75 for the ability to board early so I could store my very small roller carry-on. The in-bound flight was 2 hours late and even though I could track that easily, and assumed our flight would also be two hours late, the AA website insisted the outbound flight would be on time. So like everyone else, I went to the airport. And it wasn't until just before the original departure time that the update was indicated. Really?? If I knew the flight was going to be two hours late, that means AA knew, and didn't care enough about their passengers to advise them. Then when we boarded, my bag was taken away for gate check because the flight did not allow roller bags. After I paid extra. How can AA not advise you when you book your flight that roller bags would not be allowed?? Talk about a money-grab. I unfortunately have a return ticket and am not wealthy enough to throw it away and book on another airline, but I would if I could. I will never fly AA again and I will share my story far and wide.
Pros: Nothing to like. If I could give them 0 stars I would
Cons: Tight connection from our previous flight yet the counter folks were rude and rushed us. My daughter is obviously 7 months pregnant. Because our connecting flight left milwaukee over an hour late, we had no time to even grab a sandwich, no problem we will buy food on the plane. Wrong! The food is was gone so quickly that by the time they got to us, they were out of everything. Oh did I mention we also had 3 children ages 2, 7, and 9. Oh yes and the entertainment? Small screens mounted on the ceiling of the plane. How about updating your equipment?? Plane was old. No USB to charge your phone and stream from their App. Terrible. We own a 2nd home in Maui and travel there twice per year. Looking at other options.
Pros: VEry good Cabin crew and the plane was reasonable new
Pros: The plane was newer, drinks are available. Seat only reclines half an inch or so so get ready for that.
Cons: Crew on aa is the worst bunch of entitled fools, almost as horrendous as united.
Pros: The duration of the flight, nothing to do with the airline
Cons: I was forced to check a bag in when I had flown previously the week before with the same carry on. $50 spent for nothing in my opinion. Per the supervisor over head bin size does not change yet my bag was "too big" like I said I had flown literally 4 days before this trip and had no problems with my bag fitting nor did any of the flight attendants say anything. I am just annoyed. Also I didn't know that I would fly American as it's through Alaska originally, maybe that was my lack of attention to detail. The carry on situation is what irritated me the most. This is also not the first time that I've had a problem with American Air.
Cons: Nothing was together, missed connection. Had to buy a hotel in Phoenix
Pros: AA put us in a hotel and gave $12 (per person) food voucher for missed connection due to delay for maintenance.
Cons: Our luggage was lost for 2.5 hrs in PHX airport, due to mix-up by service rep at customer service. AA attendant at gate at CLT was extremely rude and unprofessional when I accuse Left my boarding passes in seat pocket. Would not summon someone to retrieve it. Made me wait until entire plane was disembarked and cleaned, and made me wait some more after. She was super snarky, made rude comments, and almost made my family miss our connection to EWN. I will never, ever, fly AA again. Worst customer service and tons of issues with maintenance, luggage handling, and delays.
Pros: I have nothing good to say about the flight to LA or the flight back to Chicago from LA.
Cons: 3 of the 4 flights were late, and the 4th was canceled. The canceled flight was due to weather, but AA's response was to connect those of us stranded with a 3rd party vendor - Travelliance - with the promise of a SUBSTANTIAL discount for a hotel (SINCE THE NEXT FLIGHT I WAS GIVEN WAS 17 HOURS LATER!) - and there was, effectively, NO DISCOUNT. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars with you over the years, but this was a bucker of water in the face. I'm sure I'll fly with you again, but any sort of good will I held for AA is gone.
Cons: Delay, first told it was weather related, then mechanical. Re booked on a flight by AA that would never make connection. Paid over $1,000 for a flight leg that one way and direct on another airline (Alaska air) was $281.00 and the agent took so long to find redirect flight that they couldn't book. Total mess! While struck on the second leg and speaking with AA customer service about the reschedule I was told that they didn't have the ability to rectify the error because they no longer had control of my ticket and that I had to take into consideration that three was an event in San Antonio that caused delays network wide that added tio the initial issue... HOGWASH! 1) it was another AA issue where an AA aircraft drive of the runway while I was in flight on the first errant leg. 2) if they had just been straight from the outset, I wouldn't have been delayed. I will never fly AA AGAIN!
Pros: The food, in flight entertainment and attention to detail by the Flight Attendants was very good.
Cons: The personnel handling the front desk at check in gave myself and others bad information about how to check a bag. Which resulted in me being called to the desk at the gate about 30 minutes prior to boarding and being told I screwed up checking my bag when I was just following the instructions given to me. Was then told I had to leave the secure area of the airport, go back to the front to check my bag all within 30 minutes of boarding. when I returned thru the TSA checkpoint they were rude, obviously, but more importantly the flight was boarding early. So you could've 1. told me what the actual procedure is for checking my bag instead of telling me "just leave it by the green lit up check mark then 2. told me at the gate that not only do i need to go fix your mistakes for you but that youd also board my flight early thereby putting me in jeopardy of missing my flight. all i got was a very insincere apology when I complained up front and at the gate about the airline's screw up. i get that you're all human like me and make mistakes but the customer is always right. there was a time in this country when customer appreciation and service were important standards and qualities businesses thrived on. Don't know what happened to those days... Also i should not need to be a first class passenger to get a meal during a flight. whatever happened to meals for everyone? you (all airlines in the US) charge way too much money and provide poor service compared to pre-9-11 days. I dont see how one event can justify the loss in service but the increase in ticket price. you should all get back to what flying should be about: fun and time saving.
Pros: Airline and crew looked after us and kept us informed. My app said the flight was delayed but the captain didn't seem to know this so we sat for half an hour or more after planned departure. Maybe he hoped to get an earlier slot. We were 30 mins late in the end.
Cons: No food for purchase, just a drink and biscuit.
Cons: There was no food offered. The stewardess was not happy to be at work.
Cons: Despite one piece of carry on per passenger they run out of overhead space. The boarding process is unbelievably slow. Far too many with no apparent reason to pre-board are allowed to pre-board . Wanted to buy food were nearly out of any of the choices by row 34 so no food 5:36 minute flight ridiculously poor planning in my opinion. Very little leg room as configured.
Pros: The crew was friendly and helpful.
Cons: I have no complaints!
Pros: They were effective at boarding
Cons: My display monitor didn’t work
Cons: Stuck me with a middle seat even though I fly frequently On United. In fact they gave me a special recognition on an earlier flight which was ridiculous as well because it was just a piece of paper that I had to go up to the podium to collect
Pros: I love having only 2 seats on each side.
Cons: We boarded the same time as another flight. we used the same gate door, announcements were being made by both gate attendants and 1 mistakenly used our flight information. There were several passengers who were confused! Maybe it's an LAX issue?
Cons: Unfortunately flight was delayed for 2 hours on top of a 3h42m layover
Pros: Not one thing!
Cons: The flight attendants seemed bored and completely uninterested in passengers and their jobs. Worst flight ever.
Pros: Free movies/TV
Cons: A pancake sized hole was burned into my luggage destroying my clothing, toiletries and computer. United Airlines Baggage Services has directed me to purchase replacements for the items destroyed and submit receipts. However, they are maintaining they will NOT replace my laptop which was destroyed. It will cost over $1000 to replace the laptop alone.
Cons: I never flew to Phoenix from Washington. I was held over at DCA for the night so I lost a full day of my vacation! Had to fly to Chicago and then to Phoenix. Was a total pain!!!
Cons: This flight was horrible. I upgraded my seat and paid extra for a premium economy and it was still crowded. There was gum or candy stuck to the floor right were I was supposed to stash my carry on. I pointed it out to the flight attendant and his response was "so you can't put your bag there?" I asked him if he would ruin his bag and put it there and he said "well, you don't know me." What? I had to worry the whole flight about putting my foot on that gooey mess. What did I get for my extra money? Aggravation.
Pros: Again expectation can get in the way. And of course the airline needs for flights to be as full as possible. In order to be profitable in the long run. We all want them to be able to stay in business
Cons: Same point - the point was full and I’ve already clarified that .
Pros: Legitimately, nothing was liked.
Cons: My plane broke, worked multiple mechanicals, returned to the gate, my severely delayed departure caused all my connections to be missed thus creating more compounded issues. HUGE HUGE headache. Almost forgot, I'm still missing my luggage 2 whole days later.
Pros: The space on the plane, we left on timeand arrived early and I was able to sit by myself.
Cons: One of the stewardesses spoke very harshly to me. I felt very embarrassed and offended.
Pros: crew was nice
Cons: I feel like airlines are becoming like used cars salesmen. High price ticket, then 25$ to check a bag, they give you direct tv as a preview and then make you pay to watch TV, pay for internet, want something other then pretzels, you have to pay for that too. Next up you will charge for our air conditioners to work which by the way they didn't. I have never been so uncomfortable on a flight in my life. Couldn't even bend down to get something under my seat because of the lack of space between rows. Also the air conditioner was extremely warm and the pressure of the air did not reach the seat. I was sticking to the chair because it was so warm. It just sucks that air travel has gone the way of every other industry that values quantity over quality.
Pros: At least UA rebooked me next day no charge.
Cons: Had to cancel trip until next day due to initial flight so delayed I would have missed connection in Denver. Since UA claimed was weather related, I woulda been responsible for hotel.
Cons: We’re about to take off, had to go back to the gate due to poor inspections, then they had to move us to another plane and couldn’t be less effective. Gave everyone the wrong gate twice, it was ridiculous. Someone at United should hire a six sigma trainer to teach employees about efficiency.
Pros: The crew was very friendly and courteous.
Cons: First the plane arrived late so we could not board at our scheduled time. Then when the plane arrived they said we could not used that plane. Then we had to wait 3 hours before we could get another plane. The new plane was also on the other end of the airport. This was a challenge while traveling with my mother who requires assistance.
Cons: Gate agent not very helpful when my wife and I were assigned separate seats.
Pros: The landing was great!
Cons: I paid for an upgrade on a seat and my passenger and I were told that we were entitled to free food and bottomless drinks with my payment, once on the plane I was told that payment was just for the seat. But she the attendant told me another passenger said the same thing. The only difference was the boarding agent told them 179.00 to change seats. She suggested I bring it up to United, which I will do.
Pros: Flight was canceled, and the crew gave little information about next steps. When asked how to rebook, they said it would be emailed, except it never was.
Pros: On time
Cons: Boarding takes too long
Cons: Couldn't get the tv to turn off, was making me feel nauseous. Seats don't acutally lean back to a comfortable level.
Pros: Good crew, pleasant flight
Cons: Plane boarded front to back...never makes sense to me why they aren't boarded back to front. Seats could be more comfortable since they only recline a couple inches
Cons: It was delayed as the incoming crew were late and I reached Phoenix almost at midnight which was inconvenient
Cons: There was a delay with the flight. I wish there had been earlier communication about what was going on, i.e. Why it was delayed, how long will the delay be.
Cons: This airline is so beyond awful. American has the most janky planes, uncomfortable seats, and worst service on the plane. I had to beg the flight attendant to get me a wine because I was asleep when they came by and missed them by not even a half hour... She acted like it was so hard and it took asking 4 times and finally just asking another person. I was so annoyed. They also have shitty food selections per usual. Who chooses those snack items?! They clearly have no taste. I was miserable the whole flight. I usually am not a miserable traveler so this isn't just me being negative, I seriously may write one review every few months, only if something is really good or really bad. The fact that I'm even taking the time to write this says a lot!!!
Pros: The Flight attendants were nice.
Cons: The airport was horrible. Hard to get to the C concourse. "train" is TOO SMALL. It barely fits 10 in each car. International transfer of bags was Horrible, and very far apart from where you get the bags. Poorly planned or not at all planned. We barely had time to make the flight with 1 1/2 hours to transfer and would have missed our flight if it wasn't for a trolley driver who took us from security to the gate. There is no power at the seats. The plane is old and seats were very uncomfortable. Yeah, this was the worst flight.
Pros: Zero leg room! That actually was surprising as most other airlines have a lot more legroom. In flight entertainment was also lacking. Doesn't make sense to pay $7.99 for a 2.5hr flight. A lot of other airlines offer some sort of complimentary in flight entertainment. Also the luggage didn't start coming out for at least 30 mins of waiting at baggage claim. Not the worst experience I've had flying but far from being a good experience. It probably isn't worth flying united unless it's 1st class. But even they had to wait 30+mins for luggage!
Pros: My flight was long but the crew was nice, beverage service was prompt . It was a good flight.
Cons: By no fault of really anyone... the gentleman next to me was very tall and big. He was touching me throughout the trip while he was working on some papers. He looked uncomfortable.
Pros: WAS SO PACKED IN IT WAS DIFFICULT TO LIKE ANYTHING. Seats should come with a safety warning .
Cons: ROCK HARD THIN BACK SEATS. I am average size and had no room- large people next to me spilled over into my seat. I had aisle seat and space under seat was size of average laptop leaving no room for feet. This would be ok for an hour- three and a half is ridiculous.
Pros: The seats were comfortable and spacious place were awesome :) The snack was very good, the best I had so far while flying. Service was great :)
Cons: I didn't like that because I was 4th group to get in the plane, all the space above my seat was full and I had to go put my carry-on quite further down. It didn't cause me any problem because my connection flight had a long layover, but if had not been, I could have been late.
Pros: I felt comfortable. Staff was great.
Cons: The cracker and cheese box. The snack wasn't worth the money.
Pros: I like that we finally made it!! 130a.m.
Cons: This by far is the worst flight I have ever been on! It's starts off delayed... Fine! They get us on board the plane and we sit and sit without much info being given to ppl on flight! Then we are told there are mechanical issues and it won't b long before we leave... Half hrs goes by and they tell us it will be longer so for us to exit the plane.... Which turned into a 45min wait to finally tell us that we were waiting now on a new pilot to fly in from where ever he was to finally take over our flight , which didn't leave ORD till 1230.... Which was supposed to had left ORD at 930.... We finally get to PHX at 130 a.m. When were supposed to originally land n PHX at 930 mountain time! After all of this confusion and just bad manangement of time... We didn't get any apologies any kinda of compensation for time lost... Just a have a gud day! I'm pissed will Never fly with United Airlines and will tell others to also not fly United!
Pros: Nothing. The gate agent didn't really know how kayak works when it comes to hacker flights.Told me to call customer service. Customer service does not give you the option to speak to representatives. The phone system just loops around with out giving any options for to speak to a person. After I was on the phone with an agent he told me my money would be refunded. I have been charged two flights and I'm still sitting at home.
Cons: Kayak did not confirm my seat. Was not able to get a flight. Called customer service and they told me to rebook. My card was charged twice. The airplane had faulted hardware. Waited in line for 2 hours to get a different flight. All flights to Phoenix were full. Didn't make the standby list. Couldn't make the rebook flight. Worst day ever Now, No one can give me a refund. mind you I took a day off from work this was a last minute. The reason this trip was so important to me is because my grandma is in the ICU. I hardly ever complain about any customer service experience. Overall to get a hold of customer service is awful. Now I have to spend more money and I have to drive 12hours.
Pros: I was very nervous, but the flight attendant made me feel at ease.
Pros: Boarding started early and went very quickly. Seats were new and a leather type material , which is an improvement from old fabric seats. Nice headrests you could bend to support your head. Loved the new United app I downloaded for free which allowed me to watch movies and tv shows on my phone. We arrived at our destination 30 minutes early, which was a plus. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: They overbooked my flight and almost didn't let me on the plane even though I bought my ticket months ago! The only reason I got on is because some people didn't show up.
Pros: Seemed to be a newer plane, and there was in-seat entertainment at each seat. Mine didn't work, though.
Cons: United has to have the smallest seats of any carrier. There couldn't have been more than three inches between my seat and the seat in front of me. The guy in the middle seat wasn't a large guy, yet he poured over into my space. It's insanely small.
Pros: Everything was fine once I got on board the aircraft
Cons: Once again I had to see an agent to get a seat assignment on a 30 min layover. I though I got an upgraded seat but instead they gave me the wrong boarding pass. Same last name different first name so I had to wait till it got figured out and then be the last person to board so once again I couldn't find a place for my bag. Probably one of the worse flying experience I've had in a while
Pros: The jet was excellent. The boarding was easy and organized. The flight crew was very polite and professional. Everything went in a timely manner.......
Cons: United overbooked by 5 passengers and that's not an acceptable practice. It's not fair to those who pay then get bumped off the flight..... This is terrible and needs to be stopped.
Cons: Rows 20 to the back of the plane didn't get a beverage. Slow moving attendant. I was thirsty.
Pros: The Crew was nice and attentive
Cons: Boarding was unpleasant I had to wait so long to be seated because no wheelchair was available then I had to sit in the rear of the plane I'm physically disabled I had no leg room and my knees were in pain the whole flight then after landing I had to wait 20 to 25 minutes to get off the plane I'm still recovering from that but keep the attendance they were the highlight of my experience
Pros: The only thing I have to say that is positive is that it was relatively easy to change my flight date and time in the United app once my original flight had been cancelled. The app was the only thing that helped me understand what was going on during the constant time and gait changes throughout the day.
Cons: This airline is terrible. First we were told that the flight would be delayed 1 hour and 40 minutes. We were supposed to leave at 2139 from IAH to PHX. They changed the departure to 2309 due to "mechanical failure" of one of the aircrafts. We were told a plane was coming and that we were just waiting for another flight to Albuquerque that was delayed before us to leave the gait. Long after that first delayed flight left passengers for PHX were delayed 3 more times which ended in the final tenative departure time being 0145. We were told at 0115 to sit tight and wait because the plane was now here but the crew was still in route. Shortly after this promise, the crew showed up and everything seemed to be ready for us to board. Another 30 minutes went by and they announced that the flight was cancelled. United airlines had used up over 4 hours of changing gaits and times only to end up cancelling the entire flight. They did not offer any explanation for this nor were they the least sympathetic to the travelers who have all paid to be on that flight. The customer service was disgraceful and did not offer any type of help on reimbursement, hotel, cabs, or compensation for this.
Pros: I love United. They're now my go to airline. I love the pet friendliness as well as every employee through United I met today from the bdl check in crew , to especially the flight crew on flight558 iAd to phx who I believe was from Houston and their Texas roots truly shined. Every crew member was Sooo attentive professional Cleanly pleasant and always smiling and happy to come around. Other crews could learn from this crew please take notice !!! I have never been so impressed (and I am a frequent flyer )
Cons: Flight tracker wouldn't work on screen or on phone disappointing
Pros: The crew
Cons: passengers being physically sick next.to me
Pros: Flight price.
Cons: The service, accommodations, cleanliness, organization from the airline (multiple delays and two gate changes), comfort of seats, & entertainment options were all undesirable. I tend to only fly United when I have no other options. This experience was exactly what I expected from the airline. However, I was traveling with my mother this trip and wish I would've spent the money to fly a different airline.
Pros: It was a pleasant surprise to find out I had a choice of movies to watch on my iPhone. Be sure to install the United Airlines App so that you can take advantage of this service.
Cons: We were among the last 10 people to board and with the small plane size we had to gate check bags, but not a big deal.
Pros: The flight attendants were great!
Cons: If you can tell that overhead storage space is going to be full so much as to pass out the green tags to check at the gate, why not just insist upon it? Instead of making me walk all the way to the back of the airplane and then having to walk all the way back to the front with the bag. Not everyone is familiar with all of your procedures without any explanation for them.
Pros: The wonderful crews and the comfortable seat
Cons: Snack and drink
Pros: The time was great
Cons: The seats are very uncomfortable especially when you’ve had back surgery.
Pros: The crew they were awesome
Cons: All was good
Pros: Boarding was smooth. Extra legroom sets were way nice!
Cons: Give a snack and a drink for crying out loud!
Pros: I paid extra for a legroom seat on one of their newer planes. The plane was full so it still seemed very crowded in these COVID days.
Cons: The people next to me ate a lot of food throughout the flight which required taking off the mask and discussing the food. It felt impossible to social distance more than 2 inches.
Cons: Boarding could be better. It’s could be organized.
Cons: Good service
Pros: Crew was entertaining
Cons: So cramped and hot... awful
Pros: That I made it there in one piece.
Cons: Not worth saving a couple dollars. Front tier airlines does not allow you to pick your seats before hand nor does it allow you to select baggage and the app, it is recessed for whatever reason. The seats are extremely tiny the tree table is so small you can barely fit an English muffin on it. There is no entertainment whatsoever, there is no Internet on the plane, and if you want anything to eat or drink besides water you will be paying for it. I’m sorry to say but flying on frontier was more like a punishment for me. I always fly American and wanted to save a few dollars what a mistake! With American most the planes that I have flown in have free movie entertainment and everybody seat the seats are comfortable And recline. And the snacks are free along with the soda. Please think twice before flying frontier.
Pros: The two flights were smooth.
Cons: My flight was cancelled and me amongst other passengers did not get a voucher for a hotel. So I spent 18h at the SFO airport. My layover in Denver had originally been 2h this time it was 9h. By the time I finally got to Phoenix I have been travelling for over 29h. On top of it all I was charged $45 each, for my baggage as well as my backpack ($90) which I found rediculous!
Pros: Do people write here for frontier?
Cons: Sat on the tarmac for over 3 hours. A fight broke loose and we had to return to the terminal and then back to the tarmac for more sitting. The crew finally figured out how uncomfortable and frustrated people were getting 2.5 hours to sitting with no air on the tarmac. They relieved their customers suffering then with complimentary water! Now that’s service. Frontier is one of the most base airlines out there. I’m entirely frustrated that they are one of the only airlines that service our podunk airport.
Pros: I liked that I could fly to my destination with a non-stop flight. I also liked the (what seemed to be) final prices of the tickets.
Cons: I did not like that I had to pay for seats when I already bought a ticket for the flight. It was a hidden fee and unfair to charge. The carry-on bags were also a hidden fee. I figured as much that to check a bag would be more expensive, but to have a carry-on cost as much as a checked bag? Not cool.
Cons: My seat was not worth an extra $50. Sat next to a lady with a stinky dog in her lap that was probably a little too big for lap.
Cons: Frontier seats are minimally padded and do not recline. It's difficult to sit in them for more than a couple of hours. Our 3.5 hour flight turned into a 7 hour flight after being unable to land because of storm conditions, circling for over an hour, and being rerouted to land at another airport for refueling before finally heading to our destination. It has been a week and our backs are still bothering us. We flew Frontier because it looked cheaper but after paying for luggage, seats, and food we would have been way better off to have flown on Southwest. We will never fly Frontier again.
Cons: Air bondage the seats were thin and uncomfortable they look like my daughters play school set .we were jammed in like crayons in a box .carpet , seats window Tray tables were a filthy and the tray table was so small , there was not enough room on it to hold a glass . The flight was 14 hours late coming in to den , plane broke down and do you they would help you ,,,nope your on your own . Missed a 70 th birthday party . I used to fly frontier exclusively the customer service wa great the plans clean with entertainment in the seat back . now it's like riding in an upholstered sewage pip With all the delux amenities of the DMV .by the time they up charge , you could have trvailed on real airline .
Cons: No emailed itinerary or checkin notification - I blame Kayak for this (it seems to happen whenever I book through Kayak) and will no longer book flights through Kayak. Frontier sucks, but you already know that going in so you get what you expect.
Pros: The crew
Cons: Biggest regret buying this "discounted" ticket. Not a real discount. Found out there were a bunch of hidden fees when I was checking in. They charge $60 for the checked bag EACH WAY and was super shocked they charge for a CARRYON!! Unbelievable. None of the regular seats recline whatsoever unless you pay more hidden fees just to have your seat not be straight up the entire time, and there is no front table to put a computer. To save another dime, they installed some super cheap 6 inch x 3 inch mini ledges that they call tables. I'll NEVER fly with Frontier again. They also refused to let me check in early so I had to sit and wait for hours since they refused to give me a boarding pass until I came all the way back to ticketing exactly and only exactly at 2 hours before boarding. Worst flight. A total shame since the crew was incredibly nice.
Cons: Called in to book and the agent booked my trip backwards. They would not reimburse full unless I rebooked that moment so they only did half which I have to use in 90 days
Pros: Went off on time and early arrival
Cons: Bit of turbulence
Pros: The baggage claim girl in Atlanta was Wonderful she was very pleasant to me and my boyfriend and expressed a genuine concern about my unfortunate circumstance. Mariah (Frontire baggage claim girl) did everything she could to make sure I got my Bag back and called as soon as it arrived Thanks Mariah !!!!
Cons: They lost my bags I was flying to Atlanta from Phoenix and my bag ended up in St Louis ... i would assume that if your going to make me pay for my checked bag it would atleast make it to the correct destination. The crew wasn't as pleasant and friendly as I'd like them to be but did there jobs (I guess) then we had to sit and wait for a gate .... the only reason why a gate finally opened up was because people started asking for snacks. Overall there was nothing special about this flight I was upset that I didn't have my luggage from the beggening of my trip but the day before I left my bag was recovered . The ticket was inexpensive but I'm not sure if it was worth the hasstle Then I had to pay for my bags coming back as well. Suggestion maybe have a 50% voucher ad a courtesy from sending a bag to the wrong destination.
Cons: They say low fares done right but my "cheap" flight turned out to cost me over double what it should have with their extra cost for everything! And I mean for EVERYTHING. Will never fly frontier again!
Pros: Seating is not guaranteed (may possibly break up party) unless given additional money at check-in. Charges for bags, and the website is very glitchy (be aware a glitch I encountered charged me $50 for ONE bag, I had to call the airline to pay by phone to correct it). The airline call center is international and the staff are very difficult to understand.
Pros: Buying their bundle through Frontiers website that includes a checked bag, a carry-on, a seat, and zone one boarding was worth it for this airline.
Cons: The plane was definitely older and there was trash and something sticky all in and around my seat. The flight attendants were very stuck up and played on their tablets and phones for the duration of the flight, ate pizza, and looked to be drinking too. Not much customer help, but that's also because no complimentary items are given through frontier, no even a half cup of soda. There are no bonus features on board like wi-fi or tv's on seat backs to order tv or movies. The price of flight was offset by the cost of bags and seat, so I ended up paying the same as I would have via United. I will not be flyin Frontier again.
Pros: It was cheap!
Cons: It was cheap. You get what you pay for... I had forgot that there were absolutely NO additional frills with this airline... You get one cup of water and absolutely nothing else. The staff was a nice as can be expected, but didn't look like anyone wanted to be there. And when my husband asked for some hot tea (thinking it would be complimentary - it was not), they got very frustrated. But I would guess they're just victims of their circumstances, so no hard feelings... Still, wouldn't recommend unless you're on an extreme budget.
Pros: The crew on the flight out of Detroit were pleasant and professional.
Cons: The attendants in the airport at DTW weren't very friendly and throw luggage on the conveyor belt not taking into consideration people's belongings. Also the cost of bags and having to pay additionally for the seat is ridiculous. I would have rather pay a little more for a ticket for a nicer plane and be able to take my carry-on And my purse for free. I actually payed more with the cost of a ticket, bags and seat than a flight out with another airline. Both flights I took PHX-DTW and back were both significantly delayed. The seats were uncomfortable and tight. This is the first and last time flying with Frontier airlines.
Pros: Likely the most uncomfortable plane I've ever been on. Seats feature zero padding, the inability to recline, and a tray table the size of a DVD case. I'm 5' 9" 148 pounds, young and very healthy. I left the plane with a twisted up neck like I've never had before. I landed safely so I MUST be thankful for that, but if I was booking I would want to know this information. Since I'm the wiser now I will not book with Frontier again. Also it was an extra $90 for my CARRY ON round trip. It notified me it would be extra when I booked online but didn't specify how much. What a surprise. I spent more on the fees for the bag than I spent on the bag itself (and most of the contents for that matter).
Pros: Paid for more room. It was enough. Glad I paid for it. The price kept going up as I was shopping seats (over the course of 20 minutes) the first time this was after the site crashed. Lame.
Cons: Seat assignment pricing slowly tickin up as I check in seemed predatory. Baggage policy confused most people and made boarding slow. Rude worker. Everything costs $$$. Not worth the headache for the few bucks saved (I saved $20 at the end of day to not take Delta.)
Pros: I missed my first flight back to Phoenix and a sipervisor rescheduled me for a later flight. She was amazing and wonderful as there were no extra charges. She also helped me with handicapped transport around the airport. The man who got me from the counter to the gate stopped at a restaurant so I could grab some food as I didn't have any time to eat during the day. However all 3 flights were pushed back with the last over 2 hours late. I didn't get home until well after 2 am. Should have gotten home by 11:30 pm. Colleen
Pros: That they waited for a plane to get in and take the passengers who were already booked. Between the holidays and bad weather, it was the right thing to do.
Pros: The crew was very friendly. There was a medical emergency and they handled it very professionally. They kept us updated the whole time. I also love how cheap it is to fly Frontier.
Cons: This is the 3rd time I've flown Frontier, and every time it takes more than 30 minutes after I've arrived at baggage claim for them to send out our bags...I'm not sure who is responsible for the efficiency of this process, but it's literally every time I fly Frontier that I'm waiting forever for my bag. This does not happen on other airlines.
Cons: Tried to cancel this flight using the flight insurance I was up sold during checkout. Turns out that the flight insurance was only available for international flights? When I ask the agent why it was the recommended during purchase, she said I should have read the full terms and conditions during checkout. To me, this was a true scam. She told me that I could appeal the conditions of the travel insurance, but I would have to present a death certificate of the friend's baby that had just passed - the reason the baby shower was cancelled, and the reason this trip was cancelled. It was appalling. I tried calling Frontier directly, but their reservation desk was closed due to their system being down. HOURS I tried to call, and could not get a rep. I ended up not able to cancel the flight or even speak w a Frontier rep before my flight departed. In all, I was given 6 different numbers or lines to call to sort through this situation. All I did was waste hours of my time. This was a terrible situation where I feel like I was the victim of a scam.
Pros: Quick boarding, and friendly staff.
Cons: The charge for a drink, other than water. Also the amount of crying babies on the flight, which Frontier had no control over.
Pros: I didn't like anything about traveling with Frontier.
Cons: Upcharge for Seats, Upcharge for Checked Bags, Upcharge for Carry Ons, Upcharge for Water. They charge you for water. That seems illegal. The flight was delayed, the gate was changed. We had to change gates which means we had to go through security twice. The staff blamed everyone and everything else (even the passengers) for all the issues and took ZERO responsibility for anything. I can't believe they are still in business with this level of customer service. The flight attendants were ghetto too. Making light of a bad situation by saying the worst things possible. Total embarasment transfer. I'll never fly Frontier again and will think twice about booking travel with Kayak.
Pros: Co-pilot who had to explain to passengers why so many flaws occurred in this flight, she tried to be humorous.
Cons: Flight 1884 out of SFO was doomed from the beginning starting with a notice (thanks Kayak) via email that the flight would be 1 hour late. Then, the Departure board at the airport totally dropped the flight, Then (again thru Kayak) I read that the flight would NOT board in terminal 1, Gate 21, Domestic terminal, but ar gate A3 in the International terminal. We all had to exit domestic and go to international and again through TSA. Then the flight departed another 30 minutes late finally over 2 hours LATE! Upon arrival at Phoenix the plane taxied too far away from the exit ramp-another 40 minutes before we could depart. It was an awful flight experience. Did they offer a free soda or anything for inconvenience we experienced-NOT A THING!
Pros: The flights went fine, and were mostly on-time, just a little delay leaving Chicago because the incoming flight had to wait for a gate to open up
Cons: Frontier's customer service line is horrible, with no clear option to reach a person to ask questions of without hunting through every option. Also, they charged me to pick a seat, ANY seat, so what the hell am I paying for when I pay for a flight?! I also had to put my backpack under my seat, even though it was stated numerous times on their website that it would be too big, and I had to pay $40 to make it a carry-on, when there was no room in the overhead bins. Their customer service line AND website stated I could be charged up to DOUBLE that ($80) if I had to pay for it at the gate. I looked it up, and I would have payed less on at least two other carriers because of the extra charges. This is information that should CLEARLY be stated when listing the costs of a flight, not "covered" under "additional costs may apply" or some such legalese
Pros: Absolutely nothing. The worse airline out there. Bunch of crooks. Kept 150 more people in the dark while we were delayed for almost 7 hours! Did not offer any information, did not solve any issues, did not even offer a damn bottle of water! GOD AWFUL customer service. Never again will Frontier get my business. Neither us or anyone else that I know.
Cons: Everything about it was horrible. I will make sure our Awful experience will be heard every where in the media. It's a shame that Kayak supports such a low rate airline. Next time around I will check other sites before finalizing my ticket with Kayak.
Cons: I bought a plane ticket and then had to pay for a seat on top of that, as well as exorbitant charges for bags, and we ended up paying far more than even the plane ticket for all the extra charges. If I buy a plane ticket, that price is what I am expecting to pay. I understand a few charges here and there, but more than double what I expected to pay is completely crooked and terrible business. The plane ride was bare bones, uncomfortable seats, and average service. We will never be flying Frontier again.
Pros: Except for my "complaint," I thought the flight was fine. People were helpful boarding the play. The crew seemed friendly and chatty. I had a good seat (upgraded to the first three rows for extra expense). The monkey white wine was good and the flight attendant was witty and helpful. Thanks!
Cons: The only thing that caused me some concern was that the ATL gate on the printed ticket read 1 but the actual departure gate was 1A. At first I went to 1 and the flight information said Trenton and I didn't see the 1A or even go there to look. I found a helpful Delta service personnel who said, "Oh these people, they are never around to help the passengers. I'll help you. He went online at a kiosk in the general hallway and pulled up the flight as departing 1A. Sincere there was no way for me to know about this. I could have missed the flight. Either post someone to direct passengers OR put the correct information on the electronic ticket. Thanks.
Pros: on time service personel good
