Cons: "I had 15 hours layover in Amsterdam so I got me a hotel.one hour after I got to the hotel I got a notification from Kayak app asking me to go get my bag from Schiphol. My bag was supposed to be directly shipped to PDX. I had to leave my hotel back to the airport and spend 2 hours trying to find it only to be told that it was going to PDX. I lost my $170 hotel room, over $70 for taxis and ended up spending the night on the floor at Schipol. I do not think I'll ever use Kayak again. The travel guarantee is a joke too."

Kinda curious how you forgot to load a plane with food for purchase and how did the crew not notice in advance? I would think that is one of their checks of the cabin. Not mention who ever signed off saying they filled the plane with food for purchase lied. Very frustrating not only for the crew but for the passengers."

WORST part was that the temperature in the seating area at the gate was horribly cold. Departing passengers at a neighboring gate were bound for Fargo and sat with their parkas on and with parka hoods up. We Houston-bound had packed our coats & boots and were shivering. Then when we finally boarded the crew announced that the plane's water system was broken and so we would have no hot coffee or hot tea or hot anything. No water, also and obviously, in the restroom sink. But sani-wipes were provided in the sink basin."

Cons: "I had a family emergency and because I had used a mileage ticket (as opposed to a paid ticket) I was told that I needed to give them 72 hours notice. I tried to explain that I had no control over the situation. It fell on deaf ears. I was so upset and frustrated that I could barely speak. My miles are now lost as the entire round trip ticket was cancelled and I have no way to regain all those miles that I wasted. It was the first time Delta did not come through for me and I must say, it's left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I couldn't believe that there isn't some provision (there is if I had paid for my ticket) and have lost all those miles that I use to fly Delta. So much for customer service."

After waiting 10 minutes I️ went upstairs and found a chaotic mass of people checking in at the actual open kiosk. The check in process was not clearly defined and even after spending 30 minutes checking a bag I️ still had to care my checked bag down to another TSA check line. In their boarding area there were minimal phone chargers. The plane was small and no leg room and a rigid uncomfortable seat. Also the flight was at night and they kept the cabin lights on. That was super frustrating to an exhausted traveler who was trying to sleep."

But from the moment we boarded the flight attendant was unfriendly and unhelpful. I asked for help putting a heavy bag in the overhead compartment. She half-heartedly tried and then told me it "didn't fit". By simply turning it on its side, I was able to easily make it fit, but it was uncomfortable for me to have to do so while also holding my baby! The flight attendant then commented that I couldn't have the child in a carrier during the flight (something I am well aware of!). She also neglected to offer us a snack later on. Overall, she was rude and inconsiderate and made a difficult trip more unpleasant."

Cons: "AA didnt give a boarding pass because of an error in their computer. When it was finally resolved the flight was gone and all they could say was sorry and said they would refund the money. They would not accomodate us or try to get us on another flight until they day of the returning flight. Unfortunately because of this my father missed seeing his friends and family who he has not seen in over 40 years for a reunion. We never received notification that anything was wrong with the flight and we were given the run around for 2 hours until they realized it was their fault and we missed the flight. Then they just offered a refund. In my opinion they were overbooked and did this on purpose, because it could have been resolved in minutes. I am disappointed with all parties involved including Kayak because of not notifying us of a problem. Thanks for ruining possibly the last time my father would be able to see his family and friends."

The last flight the man reclined before we even took off and he was not instructed to put his seat up. There is no room for the tray table when the person reclines in front of you. I am sick of looking at fat bald heads during the entire flight. Wifi also sucks."

Though they knew for hours that the flight would be delayed, they did not have enough people working at the check in counters. There were not that many people in line, but I had to wait more than 20 minutes before being able to speak to someone. The representative informed me that I would have to be rebooked onto a later connection because the delay would cause my to miss my original connecting flight, and when I told her that I needed an earlier time to avoid missing a meeting, she just said "I have nothing earlier." She was barely even apologetic. Then she was unable to print my boarding pass for my connection. I had a 2 hour and 45 minute layover in Houston whereas in my original flight it was 1 hour."

I wasn't carrying any roll-ons or large items but many of my fellow passengers were carrying multiple items in the hope of either getting them on or having them checked for free. Complete shambles with later boarders running up and down the aisle trying to fit their carry-ons into overhead lockers. Solution: Enforce one item only; Apply free checked items at the gate early. Apply a fee for items that don't fit and were not offered up for checking."

UA staff also, at the outset of the flight, attempted to confiscate all food and drink items from passengers, so that UA could immediately sell food and drink items to passengers."

I only want to ride on these style planes from now on. They also were quick to connect the gate bridge which is important to me. Pros: "The airline changed the schedule of the flight to 10 hours earlier, which would have meant we would sit in the Ft Lauderdale airport for 14 hours. I cancelled the flight and applied for a refund thru Kayak. Six months later, I still haven't been refunded."

I was traveling with my mom who needs wheel chair assistance and a toddler in a stroller. Very inconvenient to walk such a long distance and go through security again. And I didn't receive any notification of this when booking flights. Passengers should be aware of this when booking."

Pros: "The kind, saint of a Silver Airways gate worker who spent quite literally 3 full hours dealing with the botched planning of United and Silver Airways. After being turned away multiple times and waiting on hold for what seemed like an eternity she finally was able to get me rescheduled for a flight on American Airlines the following Morning."
Cons: "Weather was terrible in Florida, so as expected there were some delays. Sitting in Key West airport I watched Delta and American Airlines depart flight after flight while we, the suckers who booked through United and Silver Airways, sat for 5 hours. The gate worker in Key West and two United Airlines call center workers were completely useless in helping me reschedule the flights that I was going to miss (even with a 5 hour layover at my next stop). The airline blames the entire thing on weather, yet no other airlines were suffering from 5+ hour delays. It's my opinion that early on in the day Silver Airways mismanaged the movement of their aircraft which exacerbated the delays experience by thousands of passengers."

Cons: "My Kayak / Travelocity experience was the worst! In (literally) minutes after booking the Thursday flight I realised an error and should have booked the Tuesday flight. I was unable to contact anyone at Kayak, Travelocity or Silver Airlines that evening, so I had to wait til AM. I was charged a fee for Cancelling by Kayak and booked a new reservation with Silver. Ridiculous!"

I missed my connecting flight and the gate attendant was not helpful with getting me in touch with my airline to see about getting another flight. The ground crew was completely disorganized and couldn't give answers as to why we were delayed."

I was at the airport at 9:00am and my flight left at 12:45pm approximately. How can you not load my luggage. I finally got my luggage at 1:10am on Sunday ."

Late departure is normal for them because their schedule seems to be totally unrealistic and their incoming flights are always late arriving, hence delaying the onward flight. the baggage handling was a joke. On the one hand you could say they were very quick in delivering the checked bags to the carousel but on the other hand they were totally incompetent because the moment the bags arrive they apparently cart them off to their office and lock them up while their employees go off to do other things. In the time it took us to walk from the gate to baggage claim our baggage had been carted off to the office and we had to wait over an hour for the next Silver arrival to find an employee who could open the office and deliver our bags. Additionally there was never any information about the flight on the screens in arrivals and we had to ask a lady at the FLL information desk for help."

Cons: "Flight was cancelled at the last minute after a two hour delay. Customer service was awful. Two sullen employees took over an hour to deal with a line of roughly 10-15 people and never seemed to address the issue for the cancellation. I was forced to book myself on a last minute southwest flight for $225. Even before the flight was cancelled, the employee at the check-in counter was incredulous at the idea that I wanted to check my bag. She was fairly rude."

So I had to take a $90 taxi ride to Miami International and book a new flight!"
Cons: "Lack of organization, dishonest, and lack of communication. Got several emails around 3pm stating flight was delayed. I got to the airport ask the representative at the desk if it was delayed because all screens at airport showed on time. She said it was a slight delay but should still be on time. I went thru security got to the gate and there also says on time. Again asked the representative there if it was delayed said yes but they never changed there screens til after 735 pm to say it was delayed we ended departing at the delayed time that was in the email I got around 3pm. Would be nice if they updated there information so other people on this flight would know there flight is delayed."

Cons: "Communication was poor on the flight. When I tried to change my flight from a delay they would not without charging me $200 more. Then my flight ended up being canceled. When I got to the airport the monitors said my flight had departed but it was actually delayed but I believed I had missed it. There were only 3 employees working the checking and gate areas. Very hard to get information when there is no one at the gate to ask for hours. Then once we did get a flight there was no compensation except a food voucher even though we had to wait 8 hrs for our flight. Will never use Silver again."
