Good flight overall. Lots of bumps during flight but pilot kept searching for smooth air
Boarding passes could not be received online, even after online check-in. While they appeared on the Alaska.com app, they did not transfer to inbox or messages and were not available at all on the Alaska.com app following the check-in process. There was no choice other than to get boarding passes at the airport counter.
Horrible! No blanket or pillow available! We had bulkhead seats but the seats were worn out and no cushion old. No meal or even a sandwich for our 5 hour flight just a little bag of pretzels. Crabby attendant female with long brown hair. We will not book Alaska Airlines again
We had to cancel and we’re treated fairly with 100%refund quickly
Paid additional for seat upgrade, but got same seat as no upgrade.
The flight was late. The flight attendant snapped at my daughter for asking to use the bathroom after they announced to be seated. She was told she should listen next time. She has a uti and it had nothing to do with her not listening. One of our suit cases was dented. The flight itself went well and the plane was clean.
The flight overall was mediocre for me. But the point is that it got us to our destination safely.
I like the kindness and friendliness of the crew but not the long waits between flights
USB and power ports available in seats 💺. Inadequate snack options.
Crew and flight were on time and it was a positive experience
Flight delayed two hours , missed connection flight then connection cancelled- horrible experience with hotel
The checking was disaster, the crew wasn't behave well. It took us two hours to check in, after that thr line at the TSA was long, we barely make the flight. Bad airline
I like Hawaiian, it was great that they had good internet connection across the Pacific Ocean, thanks to Star Link satellites. The seating was comfortable, ( I was in economy ). Maybe I missed it, but I only got offered a beverage once. It was a nonstop flight KOA to SMF. I would take it again next time I go that way.
Previously flown Hawaiian Airlines on similar routes, I found Alaska Airlines to be noticeably more comfortable. The seats on Alaska Airlines provided better support and cushioning, which made a significant difference on the long flight to the islands. When you’re spending 5-6 hours in the air, seat comfort really matters, and Alaska Airlines delivered where it counts. After comparing both carriers, I’ve decided to book with Alaska Airlines for all my future Hawaii trips. The superior seat comfort alone makes it worth choosing Alaska over Hawaiian Airlines. If you’re planning a trip to Hawaii and prioritizing comfort, I’d recommend giving Alaska Airlines a try. You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended for Hawaii travel!
You did not have any vegetarians options for the free meal! I do not eat any meat of any kind! I asked the flight attendant and was met with kind of a rude statement like vegetarian? No we don’t have that kind of thing! Did not make me happy but made me feel like why would I want a vegetarian meal! Otherwise a good experience!
Traveling with my 90 year old mother, the boarding process was great, the gate crew was very helpful and friendly. One of the flight attendants was kind enough to assist her to and from the restroom mid-flight and cater to any requests she had. I wish I flew Hawaiian Airlines more often, it was a great trip!
First time in a long time and look forward to many more
The flight left and arrived on time. the only food offered on the 5+ hour flight was a cheese sandwich. Unlike Alaska Airlines there was no information on the website regarding food at all or any option to purchasse in advance. Otherwise, it was an excellent flight.
Food was so cheap and small potion. Not tasty just ok. Heads-phone was not free, they charged us $4! That’s BS! Boarding got delayed.
The good: On time departure and arrival. The terrible: Packed in like sardines. Chairs would not recline but some others did. The food packet was disgusting. "One and done" for us on Hawaiian Airlines. The Kayak Experience: In making our reservations and trying to get seat assignments it said we needed to "contact the airline to get seat assignments." Turns out we could not get our seat assignments until 24 hours before the flight. Kayak should have been more explicit when we were ordering our non-refundable seats. Boo on Kayak. Never again!
