You should be less stingy with the free snacks. This was a 4+-hour flight that already started 90 minutes late. I was allowed one snack choice. I picked almonds and was given a 0.5-oz bag. Really? You couldn’t have given me 2 bags when they’re that small? Or let me choose two different snacks? For such a long flight! Because the flight was bumpy, there was only one snack service, about 2 hours into the flight. That’s fine - you can’t control the weather - but knowing that the normal 2 services was reduced to just 1 - AND that we had left Atlanta 90 minutes late — all the more reason to be more generous with snacks! Frankly, your snacks should be bigger portions anyway. I felt like your airline was being incredibly stingy.
The flight attendant was really solid, concerned and considerate… went out of his way to find what wasn’t even offered. Just phenomenal!
The whole experience was great. Boarding is so orderly. The staff is super helpful. The wifi works great the whole flight so I was able to text for the entire flight. The best part was that it was orderly even when we were exiting the flight.

Why couldn't they tell me that it might not work on my routes before they took my money? Further, why wasn't it available? It's not like I was going on a multi city/country trip, this was Atlanta to Portland non-stop. Then there's the 'Premier Seating". I opted for it on my outbound flight and received TSA Pre Check. I didn't buy the seating coming back; I did not receive TSA Pre Check. Coincidence? My fare was more than Alaska Airlines was offering it for, I paid for the wifi that didn't work, and in order to avoid the back of the plane, you must pay. So, I guess I'll be going to Alaska Airlines. They don't have as many flights, but I don't feel dinged for more money every time I turn around."

Boarding: I was asked to check my carry on complimentary. I assume the staff believed my handbag was too big. Crew: n/a outside of the snack service. Comfort: the turbulence was so bad I was nauseous. I looked for the bag behind the seat and it looked used. Food: n/a except for the complimentary cookies. Those taste good. Entertainment: only allowed for Sprint/T-Mobile customers for some reason. My flight two days before included entertainment so this was disappointing. American Airlines spelled my name incorrectly which resulted in me being unable to use pre-check on both flights. I am overall disappointed with this experience.
The flight was an hour late getting into New Orleans. We landed in Philadelphia 30 minutes late. We sat on the tarmac for 20 more minutes. I ordered a wheelchair because I cannot walk such distances. None came after 30 minutes. I had to walk in short spells to get to baggage. It was a disaster flight. Lucky it was not cancelled.

We were re booked flying through San Francisco, missing out on flying on qantas, which is what I had paid for since they are a premium airline. We were booked on virgin America and then United for the international flight. United charged us each for 2 bags totalling $150 each, despite we booked a ticket with qantas which allows 2 bags each. Virgin America honoured our 2 bags, but united refused to. United also has service and aircraft which do not match the levels of qantas which I has specifically sought out. I could not eat some of the food because of the poor quality, and this is something I’ve never done before on an international flight. Additionally their were a lack of amenities on both flights, and no food vouchers despite our travel delay of over 5 hours. This whole ordeal has cost me money, worktime, and created a lot of stress to where I have had to cancel meeting on my arrival in Sydney."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 2 hours, then moved to the next morning at 6am. Before we got to the hotel, the flight was pushed back to 8am. All for mechanical reasons. We've flown this route before, and have had an abnormally high number of mechanical issues. They seem to use older planes for these shorter flights, and it really shows. Technology could really help ease these situations. American's app does not allow you to look at rebooking options, so we had to stand in line for a solid 30 minutes to speak to an agent. Since it was the last flight of the night, there were only 3 agents there to help an entire plane's worth of people. Calling American didn't help. They couldn't help with hotel/food vouchers. These types of vouchers seem like something else that could be distributed through the app or electronically, eliminating the need to stand in line and grow increasingly frustrated. To add to the fun, the vouchers were not event enough to get a hot dog and drink for dinner, then a coffee and pastry for breakfast. Once we got the vouchers, trying to get to the hotel was a disaster. They had 1 van, so they could get about 10 people every 30 minutes. We just took and Uber, and were eating in the restaurant by the time others were still arriving from the shuttle. There was no one from American there to help coordinate with the hotel or shuttle. We were like blind sheep wandering around looking for the van. Finally, arrive for the flight the next day, and they start boarding about 10 minutes before the 8am takeoff time. So, of course, we were late getting off the ground. Then, when we arrived in Dallas, our gate was occupied by another plane, so we got to sit on an old plane for an extra 30 minutes until another gate opened up for us. Really, other than crashing, not much else could have gone wrong. Made American look completely incompetent...which is happening more the more we use them. Next time, I'll pay a higher fare to fly with Southwest."

The lady at the ticket counter would not switch my seat to be seated next to my wife and 4 month old infant. Luckily the gentleman beside her was willing to switch seats so that she could comfortably breast feed our son. My checked luggage was severely damaged. The side of the luggage was caved in and one wheel was completely ripped off while the other was partially damaged. A cart had to be rented in order to transport the broken suitcase through the airport to the rental car service area where we picked up our car. The infant car seat belonging to a $180 traveling system was damaged and is missing pieces that secure the broken canopy. We were rudely advised by a staff member to file a report as she pointed in the general directional of a line a mile long. We have been advised by the manufacturing company to discontinue the use of this car seat because it is no longer considered safe for the baby to travel in. Should we ever be involved in an accident, the car seat would likely fail to ensure the baby's safety due to the mishandling by American Airline employees. Unfortunately since the flight was ridiculously delayed and my son was ill, we were unable to file the report. My wife has since contacted American Airlines via telephone and intends to write them a formal written complaint."

If it's that big of an issue, then I would suggest getting the flight attendants to suggest helping passengers to put smaller bags underneath and if they don't want to so be it. It just made me uncomfortable because the pilot had to come over the speaker and say something about it multiple times."

Absolutely everything about this flight experience was awful. My flight was initially cancelled due to Hurricane Ida, but at no point did I feel the customer service was aimed at helping me find a way home to New Orleans. My flight was then changed again last minute without any warning or timely communication, removing me from the flight altogether and rescheduling me, (again, without my consent or knowledge) for a flight to Baltimore for the next day. Still trying to figure out why they thought that was a good choice, taking me even further away from my originally planned destination and now devastated home. The gate agents were overwhelmed with the number of disgruntled and confused passengers (I was not the only one who was switched to a different flight without consultation) and were frankly unprepared for the number of passengers who now needed assistance, further delaying the boarding process & flights for everyone onboard. I learned my lesson trying to save a few extra bucks. I will never fly Spirit again.

Cons: "The carry-on baggage fee was too high. That made the price equal to other airlines. Then they don't serve any drinks or snacks unless you pay more. I will never fly Spirit again!"
Pros: "It was a pretty smooth flight and we left on time."
Cons: "I realize you have to pay for any and all food and beverage items, but I had no menu in front of my seat and nobody came by to ask if we wanted anything, even though the flight was over 3 hours."
Pros: "they charged an $100 fee to my card and i have no reason why. very annoyed by this and cant get a straight"

Now I was prepared to pay a fee because that’s with every airline, but those prices were ridiculous. On top of that, I receive very rude treatment! I will never fly with spirit airlines again!"

Cons: "Lights wouldn’t dim once we took off (this was an evening flight), seats didn’t recline they wouldn’t even give me a cup of water and there was gum stuck to the folds of the seat in front of me and some kind of brown splatter. Never flying spirit again. I usually only fly American Airlines but the tickets were price gouged by $1500 dollars."

Cons: "Nos tuvieron mucho tiempo en el mostrador del check in ya que no podían ingresar a los niños menores de dos años. Ya en el avión nos cambiaron de lugar porque no habían suficientes máscaras para todos. Nos llevaron al fondo donde nos encendían las luces molestando así a las niñas e impidiendo que puedan dormir. En mitad del viaje encendieron todas las luces para hacer una especie de sorteo, todo muy molesto."
Pros: "The plane seemed safe and the flight crew were human"
Cons: "An hour plus delay at New Orleans due to weather at O'Hare turned into an extra 40 minutes dickering around the runways waiting for a gate. Also, as we approached final descent, we were told to return our seat backs to their upright position, which is kind of a dick move because the seats on this plane don't recline. Too much A/C."

Cons: "Had to wait for a gate to open for 40 minutes once we landed at our final destination. I realize that's not entirely the airlines fault, but it is their fault for thinking that it takes close to 3 hours to fly from NOLA to Chicago when it really only takes a little over 2 hours. So of course O'Hare didn't have a gate ready when we arrived 40 minutes early."
Cons: "3 1/2 hours delay with minimal explanation. Just unacceptable. Spirit Airlines is not improving their image with this type of customer service. Seems everyone expected it and this is not the way your Airline reputation should be defined."
Cons: "I HATED that I had to pay $55 for a carry on bag. That definitely DID NOT make up for any savings (which I don't think there were) for flying with Spirit. I also HATED that they don't feed you and you have to pay A LOT of money for even basic snacks. I'm NEVER flying with Spirit again. Also, seats were so small....there was hardly any space."
Cons: "Flight delayed 4 hours because of computer problems. Still charged is for water. Missed our free shuttle to the hotel, had to pay for a taxi. Luggage took an extra hour to make it to pick up. Will never again fly Spirit"
Cons: "My original flight was canceled and I wasn't notified. My second flight was delayed with no additional information. I had no idea when I was leaving or arriving at LAX. The woman at the counter was rude and smirked at my frustration over the lack of information. I will never fly Spirit again and I will recommend that my friends do the same."

Cons: "Staff refused to acknowledge that I had paid for my luggage, claiming that I must have paid some other mystery fee. Then an hour later when the connecting flight was reported to be 2+ hours delayed, claimed that the airlines 90 minute delay policy wasn't being violated and wouldn't give a refund either."

Cons: "They boarded earlier than boarding time so the plane was half full Seats were small and we were packed in the plane with empty seats around us All of my friends has major issues with their flight so it makes me least of ever flying Spirit again"
Pros: "On both flights there was only one lavatory functioning on back of the plain. It was said that the front one was out of order. It happens that flight to Chicago I was seating in front and saw that the front lavatory was only not working for the passangers ,the crew was using it. One bathroom for that many people it's impossible especially when someone has diagestive issues The crew was very mean and pushy about geting up only one at a time."

Cons: "The a la carte menu can drive up the price of the ticket by over $150 per person if you aren't aware of their luggage and seating pricing when you book the original ticket. If you purchase your luggage check-in upon purchase, it is $31 per bag...but you need to be aware of this when you book. If you missed the small print on that and learn of it later, you will pay $41. If you check it in at the airport, you will pay $50 per bag. Their luggage limit is 40 lbs. vs. 50 lbs. at most other airlines, and this can cause an additional $30 fee on top of the other fees. The seats are quite tight, and unless you are willing to pay for selecting a seat, you need to "trust" Spirit to choose your seat for you."
Pros: "spirit gave me hard time about everything..my kiosk boarding was not working...and by the time I made it to the desk,,,she denied me boarding,,,,,,then charged me for baggage even though my carryon fit into the approved bin...I will never fly spirit again..."
Cons: "They nickle and dime you for an overall terrible service. I will NEVER use this airline again. I'd rather fly American Airlines. In order to do check in online, you have to register an account and the website was down when I was trying to check my flight information."
