Cons: "given that Air Canada's computer had crashed and flights were cancelled (including our own), the lack of information was astounding. Why, e.g., didn't anyone go along the queue handing out numbers so people could get food then reclaim their place in line? Why weren't we told, ditto, how long this mess would take to clear up? why weren't we offered o/n stays, etc, etc. Could have done an awful lot better if some manager had spent two minutes thinking!!"
Cons: "Not impressed with luggage fees that were not indicate but hidden in price - and all the nickle and diming on every little thing.. ruins the overall experience"
Cons: "Our luggage didn't scan in the system so we couldn't go to the gate until it was found & scanned in the system. Fortunately we were early so this wasn't an issue but kept us waiting at "step 2" until an actual photo could be found. We also had a delay after boarding while they changed a tire. It all worked out ok."

Cons: "Air Canada cancelled the flght without notification. Sat in the airport from 10:45 in the morning until boarding call at 13:30! There were 8 cancelled flights to NYC because of Toronto return scheduling conflicts resulting from runway repair work. Air Canada customer service desk was horrible."
Cons: "Flight cancelled without ever receiving any notice -- I found out when I was in the security line. Waited 1.5 hours to talk to an agent. On standby for 7 hours. No food vouchers. Air Canada agents gave very little information, didn't care at all that they had cancelled dozens of flights."

During this time, pilot and flight attendants shared minimal information with passengers. - At one point, I asked a flight attendant for water because I had a migraine and wanted to take some Advil. He told me he couldn't right now because the pilot wanted everyone in their seats, but he would get it for me as soon as possible. When I followed up 45 minutes later, the same flight attendant apologized and said that it was because he didn't want everyone asking for waters. We were stuck on that plane for over two hours, and you can't get people water? - Gate check was not available, meaning that I had to check my carry-on when there was no more space available (my bag met the carry-on size requirements)."

Cons: "Flew 2/3 of way to NYC & retrurned to Montreal due to weather. Sat in plane at gate for 2+ hours before flight cancelled: weather + crew had reached time limit. Very little help in re-booking flight for next day: had to do it on your own online. No help re finding hotel for the night."

Cons: "A 12 hour delay is not okay. The hotel comp was nice but they split my group of 5 into different hotels. The breakfast voucher did not work. The dinner voucher barely covered the cost at the designated restaurant. Customer service was extremely unaccomadating."

Cons: "I tried calling the airline while stuck in traffic and could not get through to anyone. The recording said it would be 30 minutes before someone would answer. DEPLORABLE!"
Cons: "Very poor communication and co-ordination when flight was delayed and then cancelled. Rebooking was only available via the phone, even when at the airport, with a 45 minute hold time. Everyone kept passing the buck to another, and no supervisors were around. Terrible customer service!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed over 3 hours, boarding could have been delayed to avoid sitting on the tarmac for such a long period of time in the plane. That is EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE for travellers. If Air Canada knows the departure will be delayed, boarding of the aircraft should be delayed"
Pros: "It was on-time, left enough time to reach connections and my bag arrived."
Pros: "Air Canada New York flight from Toronto delayed for 2.5 hours in a 1..5 hour flight. They suppose to serve drinks for about 200 passengers in a very short time, because they cut the service from 4-6 crews to only two,so they only able to serve one third of the passengers and ready to descend. Nice planning to save $$$."
Cons: "Not assigning a seat and giving me a stress of putting me on stand by for a ticket I had purchased!!!!"
Cons: "The flight was 2 hours late. It had apparently arrived late, and then they had mechanical problems. Air Canada gave me some inaccurate information which delayed me in Montreal and made me miss my connection to Toronto. Also, even though I specified to the flight attendant that I was connecting to Toronto before going to the US , they only gave me the US custom form even though you apparently need to fill the Canadian one even if you are just transiting through the country."
Cons: "My original flight was cancelled due to mechanical problems and then agent got me in a other flight to Newark which was the last one to NY and then there was a delay of at least 1hr to take off. Most likely, I will not travel with air canada again and I'm not recommending to friends since they are always delay with their flights."

Cons: "They messed up my mobile checkin making me miss my flight and then had thenough nerve to try to make me pay a 80$ change fee to take the next flight that was 100$ cheaper than my original. Waiting for a refund! I had to take American Airlines home. I will never flying with them again!"

Cons: "Most of the staff were rude and made me feel like an inconvenience any time I needed something. Due to delays leaving Heathrow and arriving in Ontario, my 2 1/2 hour layover was reduced to 30 minutes. And because I was transfering to a flight to the US, I had to sprint through 6 security checkpoints. I made it to my flight, but my bag did not. My bag was not delivered to me until 1 am the following day."
Pros: "Oddly, entertainment options vastly superior on this 50-minute flight than on the 7-hour flight."
Cons: "My flight was cancelled. I had a wedding to attend on Saturday morning and could only be rebooked on a flight the next day at 3:10pm. I wanted to simply cancel the flight that I was automatically rebooked on; however, I have been on hold with customer service for HOURS and can not get through. I have never experienced such terrible customer service."

Cons: "The fact that because I was late for my flight, my reservation was cancelled. I was not given the opportunity to change my flight at all, I just lost out on the return portion of my travel. I would have been willing to pay a fee to change my return, but not given the opportunity. Had I booked directly with the airline, they would have had no problem making a change. Buyer beware!!! If you don't book directly with an airline, you may suffer the same fate as me! This was an almost $1,300 dollar learning experience. Do not use third party online booking agents! You do not have the same protections as dealing with the airlines directly."
Pros: "Originally this flight was scheduled to be an 1hr and 17minute flight. It only took 55 minutes from gate to gate. Flight attendant was really friendly, overall a very great experience."
Cons: "The aircraft that was servicing this route was tiny and at times I found it difficult to stand up properly without hitting my head. There was a little chop upon takeoff but besides that everything went smoothly."
Cons: "Workers never helped to get us on our flight even though the delay was caused by Air Canada's technology errors. Had to pay $200 for a rebooking fee , rather than accommodating us for Air Canada's error. Highly disappointed after hearing such great things about this airline."

Cons: "I needed assistance as I have a broken ankle. Waited, waited and waited some more for assistance. Handed off 5 times until I got to the gate. Given a seat first in the exit row and naturally had to have that changed as I could not assist others. Placed even further back in the plane. It took the full three hours plus since deplaning the Austrian Air flight to get to the Air Canada gate."
