The pilot even said good bye in person to the customers leaving the plane, I really appreciated it :) The whether conditions in Seattle were very bad (windy, bumpy, rain, and night) and the pilot landed the plane as a pro! I would think at a major airport like DFW where American Airlines has a hub, they would make sure to staff that longer. AA should put the pressure on DFW to treat their customers better!"

However, coming to the gate an hour before boarding the personnel working gate the said he was having computer difficulties and could not get me a seat and it would be 10 min. I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. It nearly shot a meeting I had to make in the foot. Very disappointed with the airline and the way things were handled."

Spoke with the Supervisor Ralph who stated it was against policy. How stringent is this policy if it was waived seven times previously? Policy needs to be reviewed with entire staff. I will no longer use American Airlines because their military convenience and policies no longer seem to favor the military. My husband also after speaking with him will also no longer use your airline including all his members he overseas when they return after their year tour."

The boarding was great, and very fast and efficient, but there was news that Air Force One was scheduled to land at our destination, so the flight left a bit early. Upon reaching altitude, the plane made record time. 50 minutes was cut down to under 30 from take-off to landing. The attendant was barely on the last row (a charter plane) from serving drinks, before the cart had to be put away for landing."

Cons: "Delayed for over an hour but not notified of the length of the delay in a fashion which would allow me to drive the 2 hours to Chicago in order to make my connection. Repeatedly told the connecting flight was the last one out of the entire airport to my final destination. Heard other travelers discussing that they had been rebooked onto an alternate airline and then found a later flight on Kayak, walked up to podium and asked to be rebooked on that specific flight, which they grudgingly did. Of note, I was repeatedly reassured that they were "sure" I would make my connection without a problem and to stop worrying so much. My flight left out of Madison 2 minutes after my connection departed Chicago. I usually fly a different airline, whose flights out of Madison were all on time that day, and will do so in the future despite more expensive ticket. The actual crew on the flight was lovely and apologetic, did everything they could to help us despite the delays. At least that's something."

Cons: "$40 for a carry on? Come on now. $5 seat upcharge because "window seat"? Chairs that don't recline? You interrupt my already terrible nap so you can try to sell the entire plane your "no-black-outs" Mastercard. The cabin was much too hot, people complained and nothing was done -- adding insult to injury, water costs money. Every aspect of buying a ticket is littered with popups to upsell you to something "better" or more "exclusive". The entire experience from buying a ticket to touch-down was dehumanizing and an insult my intelligence."

Cons: "Left late! No compensation! Little concern from crew except to SELL drinks! After arriving it took a really long time for our luggage with no explanation!! Did it have to do with a "door problem" that caused our delay! Need to share more and be more upfront!!!"

Cons: "I had called to have a wheelchair ready for my 90 yr old mother. No wheelchair. Luckily someone helped get one for her, but I had to push it while pulling suitcases. Very disappointed because I had called the day before to verify the wheelchair. No free beverages."

Pros: "What is the point of assigning passengers zones if they aren't going to use them for boarding. Asking all zones to board as once created chaos and tension in the line. It was unnecessary and unorganized. Waiting for luggage was excruciating. I've never waited that long for my luggage, and the only reason why I waited for luggage was because Frontier charges more for passengers to carry on than to check luggage. I will try to avoid this airline at all costs in the future."

Pros: "The TSA line seemed miles long, but it went fairly quickly."
Cons: "The flight was more than 3 hours delayed which I didn't find out about until after I was at the airport. We got a $10.00 food voucher after we had been in the airport 1 1/2 hours prior to takeoff and then another 2 hours after the time the plane was actually supposed to have left. I was also told that we would be compensated for the delay, I haven't seen anything about that. My mother and I checked in together, they put me in zone one and her in zone 4, this was after I paid for each bag and $40.00 for the carry on bag. It was absolutely NOT a good experience."

Cons: "All the extra costs. Once I make a reservation I shouldn't have to pay extra for a seat assignment especially if the plane is not full. Then you take pillows and blankets out so you can't get comfortable. I would much rather pay an all enclusive price and not have to pay extra for everything."

Pros: "Wheel chairs were provided as requested for the long haul from the check-in area to the gate. Boarding was done quickly and efficiently."
Cons: "Added charge for stowed baggage, snacks/drinks and seating choice. What appeared to be a competitive air fare turned out to be more than the competition was charging."
