In flight, the seat felt liked you're sitting on a rock after a couple of hours. I'm an aircraft mechanic who used to be a flyer with 7,000 flying hours."

Pros: "Flying from San Francisco to Madrid via Munich in economy class. All very good in general, in fact the best experience compared with other airlines I have used in the past for the same trip. Vegetarian meal was good, but only on the long leg. Munich to Madrid was not possible to choose the special meal, but that is not that important for me, so I eat what I could and that was good enough. The crew was super nice. The plane is huge, toilets are literally 'downstairs' and extra room to hang out. I will definitely choose Lufthansa again for my trips to Europe."

When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. Without that tickets we can not claim the bags. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."

Whilst the crew were nice , the actual plane was old and creaky. It wasn't up to the standards expected of Air France. They could have done better in getting a plane up to standard. A lot of the passengers were disappointed ."

Cons: "The chairs, for whatever reason, after just not that comfortable. Too squishy and they make noise when you adjust your position. I fidget a lot on flights so I felt like I was making a lot of noise. Also the plane didn't have cold air, do you get toasty pretty quick."

In bewilderment I asked her in English to repeat herself and she sarcastically repeated what she had said, in French, I asked for her to speak in English (which she had done to me previously on this Paris to London flight) yet again she scolded me in French. I was left absolutely none the wiser and it left a bad taste in my mouth."

Cons: "Too many interruptions. Every time there's an announcement, it interrupts the movies and some of the announcements were completely unnecessary and there were so many of them, it was like constant interruptions, really annoying."

Cons: "Airport handling is catastrophic. A lost bagage created the twins to be locked. Half an hour and we could not enter. Delays and huge mess in front of police checkpoint. No announcement and no care for passengers approaching departure time. And to top it all no announcement of any delays. Had to cheat my way through the priority line and run a sprint through security and beyond. Reached the gate to note that there was a delay of 5 minutes.... Grrrr"

Cons: "I disliked the fact that when I tried to download my boarding pass on to my BA app, it told me there appeared to be an issue with at least one of my travelling documents when this was absolutely incorrect (was travelling with a valid British passport). I had no problems whatsoever at the airport at the check in counter. Also, the boarding gate was slightly chaotic. Most people didn't know which queue to join at the boarding gate. Some form of clear explanation when you arrive at the boarding gate would be helpful."

Cons: "At the check-in counter, there were two lines. One that showed Madrid and one for last minute flights. It appeared to be the same line where others were waiting for flights that left at the same time. We were standing in line for 25 minutes for check in before being told it was the wrong line. There was a charge even beverages, which was unexpected."

There was no entertainment on the plane. It was a 2 hour flight from Madrid to London and we didn't not get any refreshments for free. MY TIME FRAME WAS EXTREMELY TIGHT SO THAT I COULD MAKE THE FLIGHT FROM MADRID TO CHARLOTTE AND ON TO DENVER. FINNAIR REPRESENTATIVES WERE NOT HELPFUL. FINNAIR DIRECTED ME TO GO TO THE IBERIA DESK WHO ASSISTED ME WITH THE PROCESS TO FLY AMERICAN AIRLINES FLIGHT."

Cons: "3 hours standing in British airways and Iberian airways ticket and checking counters to get alternative flights. They could not do the "entire change" and required that we wIt in line after line. Will be a full 24 hours until the entire trip is complete. Would have been nice to at least sit in the empty first class seats on the transatlantic flight with my party as a bit of customer service. Wondering how many hours other had to wait for alternative flights because they did not use the first class seats as an alternative."

When we boarded the Madrid to London flight, we were surprised to find that the aisle seats that we had paid extra to book had been changed, and although my husband had an aisle seat, I did not. On the longer flight from London to Seattle , we did both have aisle seats, which was important to both of us. We get up more frequently than many people to use the bathroom."

The attendants just kept saying, sorry, I don't speak Spanish. This seemed very surprising to me, as the flight connected a Spanish- speaking country to London!"

Pros: "The BA staff was very courteous. I missed a connection and they put me on another flight."
Cons: "I didn't like how the itinerary only allowed for 1 hr at gatwick airport and I had to go through customs and security just to get from one terminal to another. I talked with one of the BA staff and they said that all of their operations are getting consolidated to one terminal so this shouldn't be a problem in the future."

Cons: "Non-stop from Madrid to Philadelphia was canceled apparently because of a computer problem and then I was rerouted through Amsterdam with an extremely short connectios which in turn meant that baggage did not make it and was opened and damaged !!! Pros: "The flight was booked by British Airways but the flight was operated by Aer Lingus. The crew were very friendly and helpful. The food was good. The flight wasn't fully booked which helped with the level of comfort as I was able to spread out my things on the empty seat and tray table next to me. Otherwise it would have been a small space to live in for 7 hours"
Cons: "Aer Lingus charged about $6 for a glass of wine and alcoholic drinks. Other international airlines I've flown on include wine with lunch or dinner. Also there were no blankets available for the long flight, just pillows."

Al día siguiente, estuve cerca de 90 minutos batallando para que me imprimieran los pases de abordar porque supuestamente British no había pagado los boletos a American Airlines. Pros: "Because the flight was about half full between Madrid and Dallas (a rather long flight!) and because my sweetheart and I were seated in the middle 5 seats alone, we were able to put the arm rests up and get some real sleep to acclimate to West Coast time (our final destination). I can never sleep very well sitting up. Also, the food and entertainment were pretty good. We were given two main meals and a few snacks in between, including chocolate ice cream, which I've never received on a plane before. All that in addition to the decent selection of recent movies available made for a relatively pleasant red eye flight."
Cons: "The entertainment system on the back of the seat was clearly outdated and the screens were not very reliable. While watching a movie, if the captain made an announcement, it was made in the headsets, too, as usual, but uncomfortably loud."

Pros: "A REAL Iberian airlines STAR was Ms. CLARA BENCORO--the Iberia counter agent (gate H22 @ Barajas) who was ABSOLUTELY amazing in re-booking me from MAD>>LHR after the French air traffic controller strike had delayed this leg of my trip past the LHR>>SAN departure time. She was SO efficient & competent in changing me to an earlier flight to London which saved this trip by getting me there well before the scheduled 15:30 departure connection to SAN. Her knowledge of all the ONE World computer reservation system interfaces was amazing, as she spent almost 30 minutes rebooking me and ensuring my luggage would catch up. As my booking was through FinnAir she had to go through THREE systems (Finn Air / BA/ AA) to get me to London on time. PLEASE recognize her customer service !!!!!!"
