When I got to my seat the first 30 rows were nearly fully, but the back of the plane was half empty. Would be nice to get a better estimate as to how long it would take to board so that I could hang out in the lounge. In addition, departure from JFK was delayed as well, either we missed the IFR window or got stuck behind some traffic and I fell asleep on the plane only to wake up what seemed an hour later just getting ready to hit V1. I'mover 6' tall and middle seats are painful, especially cross country. Airlines need to be a little more attentive to their customers' needs. If a passenger is taller than average, and the flight is more than 60 minutes, provide comfortable seating at no extra charge. If a customer has a short layover, which their system knows about since it is the sourve of the flight plans, put the customer toward the front of the aircraft since these flights are habitually late and customers end up having to sprint through airports to try to make connections."

I was on a 7 hour flight having to try and avoid the smell. I had to attempt to eat food trying to avoid that smell. The person in front of my seat was able to smell the body odor and urine. He also warned me about the urine in the seat that I was aware of but at least he cared unlike that caretaker. If not fot that experience my flight would have been much better."

I was able to carry on board these bottles, but when I arrived at Panama the Copa crew informed me I had to check my liquor. I had to throw out everything from my backpack and place the bottles in it. Copa crew managed to break my bottles."

Having to give up my water before getting on the plane for a 6 hour flight makes ZERO sense. I hope this requirement is due to some stupid TSA/USA regulation and not Copa. If its the latter, please re-evaluate this."

I arrived had already checked in, i had no luggage i simply had a backpack and a carry on bag.She told me that my plane was gone 1.5hr before departure. She went in the system type customer missed flight. What she did was deceptive, unethical, and of course should be illegal. I still believe that flight was overbooked, copaairline had to cancel my previous flight due to the weather. When i contacted copa airline directly nothing they could do they said. I was advised by copaairline to wait 3-4 hrs to reactivate my ticket. I was told specifically by a gentleman that there was a flight boarding at 12am. I waited at the airport for about 8hrs to find out there wasno 12am flight that day. I cant make this up people, i have never in my entire life experience that level of stress and anxiety. I want my money back!!!"

Cons: "TERRIBLE. Never had a worse flying experience. Was told at the first leg of the trip that there were 2 open seats on this flight but they would not reserve one for me. Mind you I booked this flight several months ago and somehow my seat got taken away from me because copa overbooked yet again. Worst customer service of all time. Was traveling with a group of 7 girls and got left behind in Panama because Copa took my seat away. Had to sit at the Panama airport for over 10 hours waiting for the next flight and arrive home at midnight. Copa would not allow access to a lounge or hotel even though they initially offered it when they said how they would take care of me if they couldn't get my seat back. Disgusted by how this airline operates."

Cons: "My first plane was delayed. Then the flight delay exceeded to where I'd miss my next connection. Then I changed flights once the connection was going to be missed and had a narrow margin to catch the newly assigned connection which was the last flight to town. The flight leaving SF was delayed to where I missed my last flight and had to stay the night in Seattle. It seems all of this could have been resolved if I could have gotten on an earlier flight, which I was trying to do since 4:00 that day. I didn't end up leaving SFO until 9:00 pm"

Cons: "i travel with copa every year, and for the last 2 years i have experienced problems with them. specially with the reservation and the luggage. I like to buy my ticket 3 to 4 to months ahead so i can reserve my seats in the first rows. When it is the time to do the web check in, they change my assign seats and separates us in different seats back in the airplane."

Cons: "I was seated at an exist row at the window seat. The crew would not allow our row to stay seated at the exit row because she said we did not know Spanish well. Instead of finding us replacement of a window and aisle seats we had to take middle seats. She didn't even make an effort to ask if anyone would switch out. I wish airlines would train their crew to think out of the box style and practice customers service, which finds solutions and not state rules. In the end - people migrated to the exist aisle anyway (where we were seated) and made it into a bed."

Pros: "Getting off the plane"
Cons: "Biggest problem was the inappropriate advice given in Sint Maarten by Copa employees about checking bags in Panama. This caused us to have to buy a new piece of luggage to transport something that couldn't be carried through security. Apparently TSA requires additional screening beyond the normal airport security for Tocumen. For Copa employees in Sint Maarten - whose only flights are to Tocument - to not know this is absurd. There was also an incident with duplicate seating that was handled extremely poorly. I was not involved, but it occurred on an adjoining seat. I finally resolved the problem by giving up my seat. Tocumen airport is not an airport that I want to see again. The security - as indicated above - is not up to standard, the flight listings are ridiculous (6 screens all showing the same flight information and never progressing past "M" In the alphabet, way too much duty-free shopping and way too little other signage. It's off my list."

Cons: "Copa cited some airport restriction on number of people they could accommodate on the plane due to weather and how this was handled and processed by the ground crew was just terrible. This affected a number of passengers -- 30 or more, by my estimates. And it started with the leg from Panama to San Francisco not checked in automatically and getting placed on standby. The call center did not offer a suitable explanation for the airport's weather restriction. As a frequent flier on the Star Alliance, I have not seen a situation handled as poorly as this. The ground staff seem very poorly trained to handle what seems to be a frequent situation. And despite most affected travelers being there early with a layover began to resolve this only 45 min before the flight. My appetite to fly Copa from San Francisco has vastly diminished. And so has the desire to fly through Panama City, if weather is as fickle as they say it is."

Pros: "I was bumped from an overbooked Copa flight and was offered another that would get me home at 1am (rather than 3pm) or an overnight stay and a flight the next morning. Instead of trying to find a way home from the airport (a 1+ hour ride) in the middle of the night, I opted to stay in Panama overnight. Copa put me up in a very nice Sheraton in downtown Panama City with a pool, several restaurants, a casino... They gave me $20 per meal I'd be staying for (lunch, dinner, and the following breakfast), arranged a shuttle to and from the airport, and, the best part, a $1000 voucher for future flights with Copa within the next year - enough for two more round trip flights."
Cons: "Communication was minimal or false. When I checked my bag, the agent told me that I was being placed on standby because of a weight limit on the plane. She assured me that the flight wasn't full and that I would absolutely get a seat. When I got to the gate, there was minimal information available, but about 12-15 people were on standby, including two families of 4 and 5 people. The agents were ill-informed and didn't immediately explain why so many of us were on standby and whether anyone would make it on the plane, or what the other options were for those who wouldn't make it on the plane. Eventually four or five people boarded, another few got moved to a later flight, and 6 including me were put up in a hotel. Betzy, a gate agent for Copa at Tocumen, was absolutely wonderful and so helpful and informative with all of this."

We were held inside the security of the airport without be allowed to leave to use the restroom, buy water or eat food."

Pros: "My flight from mde Pty jfk was excellent, on the first leg we have a medical emergency, flight attendants were really calm and on a 55 minute flight they provide us with a full service and help the passenger in need, on the second meg, the service was ojtstanding, Copa is and will be one of the top choices to go home."

Pros: "I missed my first flight due to faulty advertising by copa. Because they announced the flight was delayed. Then they did not want to put me on the next flight because they said it was full, but it was not. Copa representatives at sfo treated me very badly, even though I was very polite. I told them if they didnt put me on the next flight, I would miss my cruise in panama and they were still not helpful. They told me they couldn't do anything to change my flight because I booked through kayak. They ended up putting me on the next flight and I still barely arrived at my destination on time and I had to spend 150$ extra because my transport in panama had already left me. I had to walk all o er ago to see if there were any flights to panam from other airline because they didn't want to admit their mistake and put me on the next flight. I had a horrible experiences with copa on my way to panama and on my way back. Their people were unfriendly, rude and not helpful at all. They give no greetings, they lie about planes being full and my suitcases arrived cracked. Worst and most stressful flying experience I ever had!! I am still infuriated and would like some kind of reparation or action taken because I had to stay 4 extra hours at the airport, spend extra money and they gave me the most stressful experience ever while flying. Oh"

"Compared to other US airlines, American is the worst. The planes are tight. Seats are uncomfortable and there was no option to buy food on a 6 hour flight. Also the free wifi didn’t work."

Pros: "The crew serving the plane didn't look like they wanted to be there. Somewhat abrasive. The entertainment was poor and not very easy to access through your mobile, Iphone and Ipad. If you want to provide a better customer experience, equip all your planes with seats video screens. Passengers on a 4 to 5 hours flight don't want to have to figure out what do to watch a movie or TV. I don't fly American that often, but wanted to give it a try to see the difference between you and the other airlines. I have to say that on the return segment (ORD to SFO), I was not that impressed."

Cons: "I have an injury so I paid extra for 'extra leg room" but there's a wall between economy and business class so very little legroom. My leg was hurting a lot and the flight attendants had to find me a different seat because I could not stay there for 5 hours. I wouldn't have paid extra for this seat."

Cons: "4 hour delay for no reason! I’m never flying with American Airlines again!"

Pros: "They had the AC on while we were waiting on the plane at the gate for 1.5hours"
Cons: "That the flight was delayed for 2 hours, information was inaccurate/missing, they knew we'd miss our connections but did nothing except, "they'll deal with it in San Francisco" and when we landed there was no one in sight to help us--no escorts/expedite to gates, no one to tell us where to get rebooked, and after going back and forth between terminals, waited in line an hour to get rebooked on a series of flights that would get me in 22hrs later after my original flight."

Pros: "The flight and cabin crews handled an equipment problem and consequent delay, and information about it, very well."

Cons: "salt free option for snacks; flight could have not been delayed but that’s not the flight crew’s fault. winds at sfo caused us to delay our takeoff"

Cons: "if the crew/flight wasn’t filled with racist tendencies that forced a black man and his partner to take a new flight because his “tone” wasn’t to their liking when he responded to accidentally being the wrong seat, costing us 90 minutes at least of delays because they deplaned us all when all."

Pros: "The crew was great. The seat was adequate but NOT comfortable. The request/requirement for only the wheelie bags to be in the overhead and everything else to be under the seat was EXCELLENT. Thank you for organizing the amount of “stuff” people carry on to the plane."

Cons: "People all over the coach section were complaining about not being able to sit together. Families with babies, couples, even ours (though the kids are old enough for me not to be truly worried as some were). Somehow reservations seems to have messed up an entire flight. We gave up trying to fix it for fear they would make it worse. Then the woman at the gate tried to get folks to volunteer to give up their seats on an overbooked flight. But she was screaming at us. Unbelievably unpleasant to be yelled at over and over again and told we could lose our seats. The poor weather likely caused flights to be rerouted into PHL so our flight out to SFO ended up 1/3 empty. FABULOUS. But the gate experience was horrible and the legroom, had it been a full flight, was miserable. I'm in search of an airline with a humane approach."

Pros: "Very nice crew. The flight attendants were very patient and efficient. Flight was very smooth and surprisingly not overcrowded. For the first time, in a long time, when getting off of the plane it was very organized and not everyone rushing and pushing to get off. Everyone followed suit and did row by row, and no one pushing or shoving which is always nice."
Cons: "The only this I would suggest is that on a longer flight you should offer better deals on food/snacks."

Pros: "Flight had very few people on it so everyone could stretch out for the 6 hour flight."
Cons: "The original flight turned around 45 minutes in and I missed my connecting flight. AA refused to try and get me on another flight the same day so I could make it to Sydney on the original day I was supposed to land. We waited 2/3 hours to board a whole new flight, and AA hardly compensated. If anything they should’ve provided a meal at least instead of a bag of pretzels. Flight crew seemed very inconvenienced and it showed."

Cons: "No arm room when someone the size of an NFL player sits next to you and falls asleep with their arms relaxing into your space. Then they sleep open-mouthed with bad breath. I paid extra for that?"

Cons: "Seats were quite uncomfortable, there was no entertainment options, there was no way to charge any electronic devices because the plane was so old, which meant I almost wasn't able to catch a ride home after the flight. For a cross-country flight, I would expect a better experience."

Cons: "My ticket was cancelled because of a misrepresentation made by an agent when I had to rebook the outgoing leg of this trip. I had to pay $670 for new ticket at the airport with no other options and very little help from the LatAm agents. I'll never book another ticket with this airline."

Pros: "The plane was comfortable and flight was smooth."
Cons: "The shuttle to the plane wasn't bad, but would prefer not to have that element included."

Cons: "No room, limited entertainment, mediocre food. Was a very uncomfortable, long flight! Luggage late coming off plane, missed connecting flight and was not very helpful in getting rebooked."

Cons: "Again American Airlines was LATE. It was boarding time and no agent was at the gate. 10 minutes past boarding time the screen shows that the flight is delayed 25 minutes... but wait, there is still no plane at the gate! After 45 minutes the plane arrived, again had to be "cleaned" and prepared for flight back to SF. Customers were told the flight was delayed because Air Traffic Control issues in SF, but there was no plane in sight... Again I felt we were being lied to. The plane was filthy with garbage everywhere still. I will never fly American Airlines by choice!"

Cons: "People still using mobiles as we were taking off. Crew seemed not too bothered."

Cons: "I never experienced the flight because I wasn't given a seat. The airline oversold the flight and I never got to go. I missed my once in a lifetime experience because the airline is greedy at my (and other people's) expense. I missed out on a priceless experience. Not only that, the bag that I checked did not make it off the flight so I remained in DC while my bag went to Medellin. I had to purchase new toiletries and had to make arrangements to get back to the airport. As of now, I do not plan on choosing American Airline nor LATAM for my future flights."

Pros: "The flight was >1 hour late, which the pilot told us was due to the LAX controllers changing the landing patterns due to weather. So this really wasn't anyone's fault. But there was a large difference in comfort between this flight and the JAL flight from Tokyo. Seats were smaller, and my wife and I couldn't get seats together."

Cons: "My flight was delayed for 3 hours and they where rude about my flight being delayed"

Pros: "The crew was able to seat my husband and I together at the last minute as my husband has mobility issures"
Cons: "The crew seemed like they could care less about the passengers. Choice of either one snack bag of pretzels or a biscotti ~ very minimal. No headphones were offered for the movies."

Pros: "How the pilot was insistent on the idea of taking off and flying, although we were informed of two system error messages, alledgedly the first for an issue with the AC, the other regarding the drain system. After our return to the gate for the second warning, I deplaned. Didn't feel safe after that!"

Pros: "I liked that the seats had chargers (even though I didn't need them) and that they offered entertainment."
Cons: "Boarding was over 30 minutes late which ruined my SF plans. The crew was mot welcoming walking on or off the flight. They were also very rude when serving, one even gave me a super nasty look and mumbled something under her breathe because she ran into me. Just a terrible experience. They also didn't tell me baggage prices when I was there just swiped my card."
