My trip to Seattle from Newark was uncomfortable and there was a maintenance issue that caused a delay which ended up with me being stuck at the Seattle airport on my birthday for almost 12 hrs. The ride itself was very bumpy due to turbulence. I u derstand as my first time flying this could have been normal but all the passengers around me said that this was not what flying is normally like. On my way home I was semi comfortable due to exhaustion and paying $200 in upgrades to have a “better” seat and experience
Everything was fine. The snacks are a little on the tiny side.
On time, good boarding process very quick. Clean planes. Planes are tight, not much leg room ( i am only 5'8"). Some attendants are moving through aisles fiercely and pushing passengers. Got yelled for a tiny man bag that it is an extra personal tem ( size of a wallet) Wi-Fi on the plane does not work well with android phones.
There was no food or entertainment, thus thus the neutral rating.
A very good experience - all staff was friendly and helpful.
Both flights delayed while the crew blamed it on local festivities instead of the truth of not having enough staff.
I’m still waiting on my luggage. They canceled my flight on valentines day and my girlfriend broke up with me. Alaska airlines literally ruined my life.
Good, very quick flight so there was no food or drinks which is ok
Bad experience, delayed take off, arrived late, no entertainment, no food ( have to pay) . luggage claim was horrible, waited almost one hour to get the checked luggage , and my luggage was damaged
Flight from Seattle to Houston sucked the landing in Houston 29 passengers didn’t have there luggage the so called agents that were there to help us did not have a clue as to what to do landed at 2348 as of 0245 was given 1 excuse after another had no customer service representative available to help was very poor customer service and frustration levels were very high would not recommend Alaska airlines from Seattle to Houston Seattle to Ketchikan was good
Boarded from a very small gate at LAX. Staff at gate had us line up, then waited 25 minutes to board without a word of explanation. Plane arrived on time then waited 20 minutes for a plane to vacate our gate. Majority of bags arrived after 15 minutes but it took an hour for a small number of remaining bags to be off-loaded despite my “priority” bag tag.
The boarding process on the departure from LA was rather slow even though I was in Group 1. For first class, I was not expecting to have to pay for Wi-fi but I did and then the wi-fi was spotty. The entree was surprisingly good and so that was a pleasant surprise. However, once I got to Houston, it was terrible. Unfortunately there was bad weather but the constant gate changes for my connecting flight was difficult to manage due to having to navigate back and forth between different terminals.
The pilot had to extend the flight time from san antonio to Houston to burn off fuel. This caused a lot of unnecessary stress since we had a tight connection to Aruba. And with no other flights going to Aruba we were worried about spending a night in Houston. We had to to run to our connection because of the flight crews mistake. Not happy.
The flight was delayed, they didn’t even have water for the toilets or for drinks
Even through the flight was delayed due to storms near IAH The flight was great! The crew was so hospitable and professional
The flight had a delay but I made it to my connection. Flight was smooth overall
No screens or meal options. Freezing cold. Dirty seats. Left late.
Overall flight was ok. Flight attendant was receptive to assisting passengers with tight connections.
This was the first flight in the morning. We boarded fine. The cabin door was closed and we were ready to go. We were notified by the Captain that ATC issued and ground stop for 40 minutes. So, without even pushing back from the gate, we were already 40 minutes late. We actually were released to push-back and taxi at 30 minutes. But, some passengers had tight connections and were not going to make their connections. Some passengers asked about the delay and the effect on the connections and were told by the cabin attendant that all flights will be delayed and so they should be OK. However, that was not true. My connecting flight was on time and I arrived at IAH with 21 minutes to make my connection. I did and I'm happy about that, but the flight crew should not have given assurances to the passengers who might have missed their connections.
Boarding was again a "free for all". We were boarding group 4, and almost the entire plane was able to board before us. It's a shame that someone who follows the rules, gets the short end of the stick. Not fair.
