My bag landed on the belt completely open, clothes and laptop hanging out bag onto belt, bag was damaged, zipper broken with holes in the fabric, bag was soaking wet! No one at airport able to assist with a damaged bag claim. Very disappointed in the Baton Rouge airport and lack of available staff to handle baggage issue."
Cons: "I never received anything about my booking. I went the airport Wednesday morning not knowing if I’d actually fly out. I only had on my Kayak app a trip itinerary. Thankfully I did. In Atlanta I added my Skymiles # to my trip. Upon arrival in Mexico I rec’d a push from Delta about my trip with my Record Locator. Flying home was to depart at 8am. When I rec’d my boarding pass it stated 8:55am. While waiting at my gate Delta sent me a text at 7:30am that my flight would be leaving at 8am. That confused me. Needless to say I was suppose to arrive CVG at 3:49pm, but instead was booked on a flight departing Atlanta at 4:30pm. Plans at home had to changed for Friday evening as I was not arriving at mid-afternoon. Needless to say I’ll probably not book thru Kayak anymore."

Cons: "The check in at the counter was a nightmare. While we had checked in online already we had to wait in line for over 2 hours! We arrived at the airport and got in line right away. They started calling people’s flights that were leaving in less than 20 mins and that’s when everything became a nightmare. Everyone was so disorganized and people that were leaving in less than 20 mins were put on a different line. The line we had been waiting on was put on hold but the line next to us was not so now we had to wait for all the people (which was about 70) to get checked in. As my patience ran out i went up to the counter and tried to just get my bags checked so we can be on our way to our gate and of course i get the answer that i have to wait because i still have enough time (our flight was leaving in 40 minutes). then they brought a supervisor over to tell me the same thing- there was absolutely no help. By the time we were able to go on to our gate we had exactly 20 mins until our flight left. Very unacceptable. It looked like it was everyone’s first day at work and no one knew what they were doing. we fly delta all the time and i know Aeromexico now works with delta but they need a lot more training on what customer service is all about"

Cons: "Aeromexico's online check in system needs a total revamp. Trying to check in online was a nightmare. I eventually gave up. Also, they charge extra for checked luggage, like most airlines today. What's different is that they make it really difficult to pay for your bag. After I waited in line to check in and the agent confirmed my reservation, I was sent across the concourse to a separate Aeromexico office to pay for my bag, rather than simply paying at the check in desk. I was lucky I had the extra time to make it to the gate to catch my flight."

They did not have any other flights to Cancun that day so we were put on a flight into Mexico City then finally to Cancun. We understand things like this happen with travel, but the lack of compassion for the situation was shocking. They were not apologetic at all! The lack of communication in English added to the frustration. This was our first and definitely only time we travel with Aeromexico!"

Definitely an older plane."

This is the second flight on this trip where a flight has been delayed and there is just TOO much confusion. You guys don't have enough employees guiding us to the right direction. Delayed flights seem to be a common thing with your airline son ADD MORE STAFF! So ridiculous, the staff in Mexico City are useless at helping people out!!! Cons: "Aeromexico is a scam. I will never travel with Aeromexico again. When we arrived in Mexico City, MX the airline changed their boarding gate without notification. We were sitting at the original gate for 2 hours only to realize they never called us to board. By the time we got to the correct gate, we were not allowed to board the plane because they said we were late. The plane left at 5:00 p.m and we arrived at the gate at 4:50 p.m. They informed us that we had to purchase new tickets which cost $370 per person. There were 4 of us. After arguing with the Aeromexico representatives and supervisor for over 5 hours and having them check their flight boards they admitted to making the mistake so they changed our flights without charging us, but now our flight leaves the next day at 6:20 a.m. and we will not get to our final destination until 4:15 p.m. So, we have to spend our night sleeping in the airport until our morning flight at no fault of our own. Their customer service is the worse and I've never ever had this kind of travel experience with any other flight. I am fed up, tired, and will be reporting this airline for fraud because many other customers have had the same experience. Never again will I travel with Aeromexico and Kayak should be ashamed to partner with this airline."

Pros: "Considering the price we paid for our tickets is the the only drawback I keep coming back to when I think about the VALUE of what I paid for.the entire flight. The overall experience was good throughout; from the airport on both ends of the journey to the actual inflight experience. I'm not sure how much of an influence the airline has on the airport part of it all, but the check-in process was good. The self check-in machines for AA were a little "buggy" and difficult to navigate but helpful staff was readily available as were the short lines. I am 6'2" and was impressed that I had adequate leg room in my seat."

Our party of three, which was husband and wife plus friend, were all seated separately. We could have opted for "pay extra" seating, but even that did not get us together, so we opted out."

Cons: "The gate was changed 1hr prior to boarding despite the arriving plane having landed 3hrs prior. So with stroller and infant in toe, I had to run to change terminals/buildings. There was no assistance or prior warning regarding this from the check in staff and I made it all the way to the original terminal and gate before having to turn around. The desk staff at the gate was asked about early boarding for infants and said it would be okay but didn’t give clear instructions on boarding so I sat down and they began boarding each group 20 minutes later and did not give priority to mother’s with infants. The stroller which I brought to the gate was then tagged incorrectly with a white tag instead of a pink tag. I was later told by he crew that it meant it would go directly to baggage claim instead of being brought to the door. According to the crew, all staff know to tag with a pink tag. At every step there was blatant display of inconsideration that made an already difficulty journey, that much more challenging."

Leave it to Mexico, a beautiful country that’s struggling with so much poverty, to offer up free internet service instead of some silly $20 per flight deal which occurs once you cross into (at least on the surface) the wealthy, not so poverty stricken, USA! AMERICA! America, the same America that the side of the plane you’re flying in, is so proudly representing. Rich, powerful, fair America needs the extra $20!"

I had a great experience and I love Cozumel airport. It’s one of my favorites, honestly."

Cons: "The original flight turned around 45 minutes in and I missed my connecting flight. AA refused to try and get me on another flight the same day so I could make it to Sydney on the original day I was supposed to land. We waited 2/3 hours to board a whole new flight, and AA hardly compensated. If anything they should’ve provided a meal at least instead of a bag of pretzels. Flight crew seemed very inconvenienced and it showed."
Pros: "The planes were on time. On our way down to Cozumel. The pilot let me 4-year-old son see the cockpit. Which was AWESOME, they were great As well as the flight crew on the way down. The trip down was terrific, If AA had this level of service all the time I would fly with them all the time."

The check-in process was slow and i was overcharged for my bike, On the way down it was $25 the same price as previous AA flights, On other airlines, it also just counts as a piece of luggage. On the way home i was charged $150 oversized luggage, yet it was <50 lbs and within the size limits. The flight crew was not overall friendly. Very business like and not warm at all. If they were a restaurant i would not be returning. The locks on my bike case were both broken off. the case was not locked. Nor was this done by TSA as they would have left a note as they have previously done."

I had to book another flight because the change fees were too expensive. I did not know that my return flight to Denver had been canceled until I was checking in a few hours before my flight. It really stings that I then had to book a new return flight, and because I am a teacher who makes about $23,000 a year, I had to book the cheapest flight, which was with American. I do not plan on giving them any of my hard-earned money in the future if I can help it."

Why did they put someone one the flight that was clearly sick before he ever boarded then you make everyone miss their connection in Dallas. We got to the gate for our connecting flight 9 minutes before the pushed back from the ramp and they would not let us on??? WTF poor customer service!! Fly southwest from now on!"

Cons: "LAX now buses people to the planes. We stood on the bus for 45 minutes and then drove for 10 minutes on an active taxi way. The crew for united just does not seem motivated anymore on any flight. Even in first class we were offered water only 2 on a 5 hour flight. The crew just sat in the front and looked at their phones. The food made me sick for two days - so it is better to just not eat it and bring your own. It is sad as I united used to be a great airline and now they just seem to focus on what new fee they can charge."

I have flown United for 30+ years but when you start charging for overhead bins, I am gone. This is insane. Win your customers' loyalty if you want your profits to rise."

The airlines top people obviously have no interest in providing any comfort for the those who are unwilling to pay the extra money. I do not understand why the airlines believes people should have to pay for their own meal on a 7 hour flight when they've already shelled out the money for the flight. In addition, why should I have to pay an extra $89 for a so-called premium aisle seat? It's completely inexplicable that the state of all airlines in America have fallen to this level."

Cons: "It is 6:50 PM. We are at the airport in Merida, Mexico. We were scheduled to leave at 8:22 AM this morning. The flight was delayed twice, due to maintenance. We are now scheduled to leave at 9:00 PM. The plane is coming in from Houston. An airline as large as United could have sent another plane here instead of having us wait 13 hours. We have a 4 hour drive to get home after arriving Houston."

I paid for the in-house movie which didn't start until we were up in the air and cut off multiple times. Cons: "First of all the flight was delayed for hours for no reason then the plane got packed because it was delayed so they kept on selling tickets to fill up the plane because the plane was half empty all of a sudden the plane was full of people no more chairs I tried to get the exit row from where you do a check in to get your pass to go through security my credit card was not being excepted nothing wrong with my credit card it worked totally fine in the airport restaurants and for other uses I had to use for but it would not work to upgrade my seat to an exit row united is the worst airline ever seen in my life I am a little bit big for normal size I totally understand that but when you have people that are big like me not that big I'm only 61 230 pounds I was put all the way in the back would not be able to fit in my chair for a four hour flight and when the plane had three exit rows available and the crew for their flight 395 United from Chicago to O'Hare October 18 I will never forget this day totally beautiful day in the city Chicago United Airline decided to delay to make more money I understand it's good business but there are people arranged for the flight do you have available of time therefore now the plane is totally full understand you're trying to make more money this is not the worst of it here comes so when I asked to get the extra chair because my credit card was not working when I got my pass to go through security at that point the exit chair was $67 to upgrade I was totally afford was willing to pay because I understand my size but then when I got to my flight into my airplane that's the airplane Stewart to allow me to get a extra chair and I told her I would pay for it then the lady came and told me a ridiculous price told me $149 not acceptable was not able to afford double the price when I already purchased a ticket and was willing to pay the $67 that's one issue on how the plane flight started when we are sitting on the runway for over one hour and not moving something is wrong with the plane they're saying then we should not be waiting over four hours of delayed then we should've been put in on a new plane fine you're looking to make more money this is good business whoever was the decision-maker of tonight needs to be fired from United or O'Hare airport when all of this is going on don't forget now I am the last seat on the airplane but cannot fit in my seat my knees are smashed against the seat the seat that's not decline it is the last row in the airplane now i'm totally not comfortable that's fine so now the store is giving drinks and taking orders for people to eat or order their food when the story gets towards the back she says we are totally out of food packs we only have snacks which is peanuts after a delay of an airplane I think you should understand it's obviously the people are hungry in the airplane for your mistake there are kids that were on the airplane crying there was a lot of chaos in this flight"

When arriving to the Newark airport, there was communication issues and no way for us to get to a terminal so we were stuck on that plane for 2 hours. While stuck on the plane my connecting flight got delayed twice then cancelled. Once finally in the airport, I waited an hour in line for customer service only to tell me they couldn't even put me up in a hotel because it was air traffic controls fault, even though NO other airline was down. They gave me a $10 food voucher, apparently that would fix everything. I had to put myself in a $130 hotel room and being a broke college student I wasn't expecting that. I will never fly united again, it was he worst experience I've ever had and one of the most stressful days. This airline is horrible."
