Cons: "For that size of airplane basing on the fact that it was an international flight not having a USB port or any power source by the seats it’s ridiculous. The boarding process was a nightmare, very disorganized the crew members starting boarding group by group just using ONE of the two entrances available because of it the line to board the plan occupied almost 2 boarding gates. I couldn’t reclaim my seat because it was broke, the quality of the food was very mediocre, crew members attitude were upsetting... uncaring and ignoring passengers call. Another filthy plain ... I had 4 flights with avianca between 2 International fights and 2 national connections, all flights were terrible! The worse part is I probably could’ve flight more comfortable for less money or at least get what I paid for."

Pilot tells us we’ll be landing 5 minutes before 10 in NY but in fact we don’t land until 10:30 with no explanation Very old and outdated plane. Just terrible . hope I don’t fly this airline again ."

Cons: "On Feb 26th we had a flight leaving Bogota back to NYC, and at the gate, we found out our flight would not be operated by Avianca, but by a Spanish carrier called WAMOS. Wamos airlines does not offer in-flight entertainment. It offers an app that you can download on your mobile device prior the flight, even though there are no plugs inside the plane and no fully reclining seats. This change is being caused by an ongoing strike action by some of their own pilots and this has been regarded with absolute no consideration from Avianca to its costumers. At the airport we talked to 3 different customer services employees, all giving us different versions of the story and no clear answers. One employee told us that we MAY have a possibility of reimbursement and another one that we could stay in a hotel and catch another flight the next day (which was not an option for us) There was no advance warning about this change to me (not even during check-in) Found out later some passengers gotten an email informing about this change, but not all of them. Staff didn't know anything about this flight. The gate staff only informed passengers of the change, after I complained, and kept insisting that the airplanes were the same, when clearly it was not the same quality, in amenities and service on board. There were big delays and a mess with seat assignments. Many customers traveling together with separated seats and of course, delays in departure caused by the mess that Avianca caused. Just to be clear. what Avianca is doing is stealing the money that we paid for a specific flight, to voluntary change us to a much less inferior flight, with absolutely no consideration and no compensations."

Cons: "The announcements were all in Spanish and it made it difficult for me to understand what I needed to do. I acknowledge that I was one of a very few passengers who spoke only English, so this was not a problem for many people. The leg room on the flight was incredibly cramped."

Cons: "The bathroom was the worst I have ever seen. Old urine splattered on the seat (it had to have been left uncleaned from an earlier flight). There was no soap, The floor as still wet from urine and tp was still there. I was disguisted. Also there were only one bathroom in the back of the plane, which must have been a way to get more available seats. If other airplanes take that tactic, I'll stop flying altogether."

I have flown through bogota 10 times and the line is always over an hour long. This is insanity! I have visited 30 countries and never have experienced a mess like this. I hate flying Avianca out of bogota and will pick other airlines because of the crazy lines. I will fly into Latin America using Avianca but I will always use a separate airline to leave because of the mess."

Cons: "After all these connecting flights especially after being delayed in Cali, the flight in Bogota was delayed and the Avianca crew did not announce it. After realizing it was time for boarding according to the time that I needed to be at the gate from my ticket, that's when people were realizing there was an issue. Once I got to the podium and handed my tickets the staff handed a voucher. There wasn't a hello, we're sorry for the inconvenience or the reason why the flight was delayed 2 hours. I had to ask them why what happened, what is the voucher for, how does it work, what time we were expected to be at the gate. The staff made everyone aware that we needed to be at the gate at 4pm so we can depart at 445pm. The food was okay and the staff looked a little annoyed when serving drinks. I shouldn't say all of the crew but from the back half of the plane the staff looked annoyed if not bothered. Didn't get to NYC until 12am, but had to wait on the runway for an additional 20 minutes. Again no communication on what was going on."

When I picked up my bag at baggage claim at my final destination they didn't close my luggage and my clothes were hanging out!! Ridiculous. Also th flight attendants were rude and unprofessional!!! The food on the plane made me gag, it smelled and looked disgusting."

Cons: "flying from Medellin to Orlando, it will take in a direct fly 4 hours max. It took us 9 hours to get to Orlando. The waiting time in Panama was to long (4 hours, more than what it will take the whole fly if it was direct). When we land i took forever (25 min) to reach the point where we can get off from the airplane. Then it took 1 and half hour to get our suitcases."

This ticket was purchased last minute due to an unexpected death in the family so it was the only option we had to get my uncle to LA asap in order to be with the family during such tragedy. We even bought the insurance on the flight to assure nothing went wrong but yet he was still left behind hours to wait for another flight and see IF THAT ONE had room. How is this even possible? Why would you even let us book if there was no room and why was he the one to be asked to stay behind? Is it because it was booked though you? because it was a third party booking and not direct? If so then it's not even worth the few dollars we saved if it means the flight will be unreliable and the insurance means absolutely nothing through you guys. Ultimately, truly disappointing and I know that we can not depend on booking this way again if in your policy it states this ist ok to do and not even compensate one bit for making your travelers go though this."

After several hours of bag retrieval, having to buy a new full price ticket, having my cards declined due to the price and circumstances, having to go through 2+ wrong directions for each step of the process, determining that maybe one employee in five could speak even minimal English in an international airport, I finally got on a Delta flight. In sum, won't be flying on Aeromexico in future."

This is going on two weeks now and have not been able to resolve my issue!"

Cons: "It was awful. My original flight was scheduled to depart March 30 at 11:55. Then Aeromexico changed it to 1:35am in March 31. They refused to let me change flights when this happened. I wanted to fly standby on an earlier flight, so I called everyday for 2 weeks to confirm how many seats were left. Everyone I talked to told me I could fly standby if it was he same day as my ticket. I got to the airport and the flight attendant at check in told me “standby doesn’t exist.” When I asked how much it would be to change my ticket, she just said “very expensive.” She told me she’d have to check me out of my current flight and risk me losing my seat on that flight, because it was overbooked just to see the price for the earlier flight. I told her I’d be willing to pay up to $200 to switch to the earlier flight and she told me it was very expensive and she wouldn’t do it. I came back later that night and took my scheduled flight. I carried on my bag from SFO to MEX. On my second flight from MEX to BOG, the attendant told an older woman she had to check her bag because the overhead was going to be too full. I volunteered to check my bag instead so she could keep her bag. Then Aeromexico lost my bag. When I got to BOG, they told me I couldn’t have a voucher because it was my fault for bringing a bag that was too big. Finally they gave me $100 because the next day was Easter and I had no clothes for church. I wasted over 2 hours of my vacation at the Bogota airport while Aeromexico searched for my bag. They said they’d call as soon as they found it. No one ever called. I called and they asked “what color is your bag?” I said “red” and the attendant said they had it. It was delivered several hours after this call despite the fact that the airport is less than 20 minutes from where we are staying. I didn’t think an airline could be worse han United, but Aeromexico steals the cake."

Cons: "A flight attendant put me on the spot, holding up a line of people on the plane, asking me to switch from a window seat to a middle to accommodate other passengers only to find out the reason being that the other passengers took up more than his/her one seat. I was elbowed the entire flights, couldn't even put the arm rest down , and had to rest my elbows on my hips to eat or drink anything. I understand it is not up to the crew to manager passenger behavior but the only reason I was put in that situation was due to the airline staff. I was extremely uncomfortable and after traveling for over 20 hours I was livid with how I was treated just because I am a small caucasian female."

Then, they took our check-in luggage from the plane and it went through an inspection (bag by bag), so this caused another hour delay. After that they gave us our check-in luggage for us to take it to another location (to another floor) within the airport to be checked-in again. They wanted to charge us $20.00 additional per check-in bag even though they were half of the weight limit. After we complained, they dropped this charge. Due to all the delays we lost our connection and we had to book another flight. Not a good experience. We will never make a stop in Mexico in the future."

Cons: "I was flying to MEX from LAX and i had to get through customs which took a long time, but got to the Aeromexico ticket counter to get my boarding pass and they told me that they start boarding 45min before departure time and I got tot he counter at with 35 min to departure and they told me that I missed my flight and had to buy another flight which was two hours later. I don't understand why they couldn't let me through or hold for me. It ruin my ground transportation reservation which I had to reschedule. The whole thing was frustrating and cost me more money that what i thought i was saving."

Somehow after about 30 minutes of back and forth, Austin Lopez with Aeromexico saved the day!! He got me several connecting flights back to Oregon and I was home the next morning very early. He was very sweet and caring. I wish I could tell his boss how amazing he was! Thank you again Austin!"

The only tough thing about this flight was that we changed gates about 4 times, then got switched to a very distant gate at the ass-end of the terminal (literally, the lights were flickering. It was eerie.) THEN we had to take a bus out onto the tarmack to get onto the plane. But that's a small inconvenience considering we travelled from Mexico City to JFK in like 5 hours."

I am very unhappy with the fact that there was food served onboard and that, when I tried to tell the airline what I could and could not eat, that they did not change my preferences or even give me the option."

Pros: "The seats were huge and extremely comfortable. The leather was peeling off and the seatback pouches were falling off the seats, but none of that mattered. It felt like first class room and comfort so I didn't care at all. There were no tvs, but it's a very short flight so it's not a big deal."

I don't know how I was selected to be kicked off. The poor communication was very annoying. I stood at the counter for 45 minutes after the airline personnel took my STB ticket, and didn't tell me what was going on. Would have been a LOT more pleasant of they just told me the flight was full, and my name would be called if I was on the flight. Then I could at least sit down, instead of standing there for 45 minutes."

Cons: "Basically I had 4h of connection in Mexico City and even so Aeromexico made me miss the flight to extort money. After arriving in Mexico City Took 1.5 hours to get the bags. Then another 0.5 h for re-inspection. After 2h they still had not set the boarding gate so I went to the international boarding area. As I was close the gates 30 min before boarding I decided to look for my gate and to my surprise they changed to the national boarding on the opposite side where it should be. I arrived at the gate 15 min before the scheduled departure time and the plane had already taken off without announcing my name! From that moment Aeromexico totally abandoned me! Basically the only solution they offered me was to buy a new ticket for Houston for $ 1,400.00 because there was no place on any flight! I missed my work day, my US phone did not work in Mexico City and I thought I had to sleep at the airport! Thank goodness the airport's consumer protection staff helped me a lot. They somehow managed an Aeromexico flight on the same day with no additional cost. The flight I got there were 4 empty seats and they were trying to charge me $1,400. Shame on you Aeromexico."

Cons: "I had purchased a ticket to fly from Puerto Escondido to Mexico City on Thursday, November 24. When I arrived at the airport, I came to an airport that was "shutdown". According to a few people I spoke to, it was because of a protest. I was not emailed or notified that I was wasting my time and money trying getting to an airport that wasn't flying out any planes that day. I was very distraught and disappointed because I am a foreigner and there was no representative front the airport or airline that this was happening and what's are the next steps I should take to get on the next plane back to United States. I spent hours and hours calling Aeromar about rebooking my flight for tomorrow so I can get out of this city. It was a nightmare on the phone because it was like the employees were trained not to help. I was told it wasn't their fault, and I need to call aero Mexico to get this straightened out. Not one employee from the many I spoke to consistently throughout the day tried to rebook my flight. They wanted me to pay for another flight which is absolutely ridiculous. I missed my flight because of some protest, something not in my control, and i kept being told too bad. I did not get offfere one solution by your staff. I was left to figure what I was going to do by myself. I didn't leave Puerto Escondido until 24 hours after I was suppose to and it was not by the help of your staff. Because of this, I will highly consider not buying tickets from this airline of their is any other option because it was an awful experience. One of He aero Mexico employees told me to stop acting childish because I was upset about missing my flight for reasons i didn't control. The customer service for aero Mexico was worse then aeromar. They kept blaming aero mar and kept saying they need to figure everything out, yet these two airline work together. Aero Mexico is the one that helps get the flight to other smaller cities. All around I had a miserable day and not one person I called from aero Mexico, like aero mar helped me or offered a solution."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 4 hours to Mexico and on our return to LAX our seats were RESOLD and reissued to other passengers and we were told we would be put on the first flight the following day! Heck no, we were not about to let that happen. Finally after multiple conversations with the "people in charge" we were able to be "accommodated" on the next flight- 6 hrs after our original flight. I called customer service for Aeromexico to submit a complaint for the awful experience, not once did they apologize for an inconvenience and make matters worse they said it was my fault my tickets had been re-issued. The customer service woman explained that "I had not paid for a seat on that flight that I had only paid for a reservation" therefor making all of this my fault. This is one of many reasons Mexico is so corrupt."

Pros: "That was my first experience with the Airbus 380. The plane is an excellent ship and the takeoff and landing was surprisingly smooth. Flying is very stable as well. Although it has two decks you are just in one and it looks like any other long distance plane. Seats are a bit narrow but comfortable. Entertainment is individual and plenty of options. Economy cabin is divided in two sections and each section has its own lavatories."
Cons: "The boarding and disembarking operation is never-ending and of course economy class has to wait until business and first -that are considerably large- have completed their getting out. Even with two exits for the two decks it was very slow. On boarding I also noticed that several passengers boarded the wrong deck: nobody but a generic sign was telling them what gate was theirs. With 450 or 500 passengers the chance that something goes wrong increases. In our case a passenger didn't make the connexion and the luggage had to be removed. Food is just fine. Surprisingly the beverage was extremely short of options: just wine or water, no coke or sodas. Same with supper: just coffee, water or juice. The trip was long -9 hours- but no water was offered between meals."

That is unbelievable and unacceptable in 2018. Seats pitch was pretty small and I even had to fly on a broken seat that would not recline, for a 11 hours flight. The most uncomfortable flight I have ever flew. If that wasn't enough to make the experience the worst possible, flight attendance was rude! I strongly suggest to avoid American Airlines at all cost."

Only after finding out about the cheese did I understand why no one took te chicken dish."

Cons: "No Wifi"

Pros: "Liked that we were on time and boarding was organized. The food was excellent considering it was cabin food. Like the fact the crew kept asking if we wanted water, juice through out the flight. They were very attentive and quite nice."
Cons: "Seats are too close together and there is not much leg room or elbow room. Not too many movie choices as the majority we saw on the flight to London. We experienced turbulence during the flight and there was no communication from the pilot found that a bit odd. Just to set everyone's mind at ease I expected something to be said from the cockpit."

Pros: "The crew was pleasant/friendly, but I'm not sure if one of the male flight attendants was extra friendly because the girl next to me was cute, I guess I got lucky and benefitted from that and got excellent service"
Cons: "There were no USB ports to charge my phone... the movie selection was average, and the entertainment system was a little old, the touch screen didn't work. Being from America, the drink can 150ml is TINY and I was always thirsty."

Pros: "I liked the movies and the entertainments on the plane."
Cons: "People like old when it comes to history, traditions, restaurants etc. But when it comes to travel and technology people don't. Two of my friend's entertainment monitors were broken, bugs with the program all the time, no wifi on board. Compared to other airlines BA was quite disappointing."

Pros: "Price and ease of finding options."
Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "British Airways is always my first choice when I fly. You always know what you will get and the familiarity of knowing the booking system, the lounge, the seats. All this needs to be weighed up with a disinterested crew (and I am generalising which is unfair!) and dated planes"
Cons: "The plane is dated. There was dust in the lockers, my seat got stuck and the entertainment screen was difficult to see. But my big disappointment with this the disinterest of the cabin crew. The purser sits and completes his paperwork while coffee is slowly dripping out of an overflowing disposal unit, collecting under his shoe. The cabin crew on my aisle kept on forgetting what food people ordered and if you were snoozing or not in your seat while she did her round, you missed your chance."

Cons: "I don't get no dinner on the flight from Miami to London Heathrow and I felt faint from hunger on board. When I complain to one of the flight crew ,we one hour and forty five minutes left to land,she gave me a pretzel bunch and a cup of tea."

Cons: "ridiculous method of boarding we were traveling full pay first class and we boarded in the massive cattle prod method of everyman for himself ...no preference for any of the different categories of "clients""

Pros: "Clean plane"
Cons: "We booked World plus, extra money, and they put us in the last row against wall where the seats hardly recline. I complained but we were well into our flight when we told the stewardess she did not get back to us regarding changing seats. She came back about 20 minutes laterwith unacceptable seats,far from our overhead and we could not sit together. We declined. My husband had to board early because his foot was in a special brace after recent surgery. They could only move him to a center seat where he would hae to risk someone stepping on his foot. We are 70 years old.We had one small meal on an 8.5 hour flight."

Pros: "The crew and entertainment were great."
Cons: "The amount of legroom provided for an 8.5hr international flight was far too little."

Pros: "A380 planes hold far too many people for the capacity of the departure terminal making the gate experience sonewhat of a spill over. Seating maps at check in did not make available a single seat close to us for a third member of our party who had booked an equal ticket on a separate booking. Yet after n boarding there were seats physically available that were not offered by check in staff. Meal trash was left for far too long before collection in our seats which was upper deck final rear cabin. Plane noise during flight was very low, excellent. Miami Airport is a logistical immigration process nightmare. We look forward to BA using FLL instead directly from the UK."

Pros: "British Airways was very accommodating. I enjoyed the journey."

Pros: "The flight attendants were courteous and friendly. Boarding was easy."
Cons: "The designer of the business class seats used by British Aiways is surely an acrobat who flies no longer that's two hours. And those at British Aiways who bought into this design probably don't fly at all. Passengers who are sitting in a window seat must literally walk over the passenger in the aisle seat in order to get to the aisle. Flight attendants must serve the passengers on window seats right over those sitting in the aisles. The seats are narrow, and if you're sitting in the aisle, you don't even have a space to put your bottle of water or reading glasses. I can go on and on. This is my last flight on British if I can manage."

Pros: "Getting off the plane"
Cons: "Entertainment system did not work on any of the seats."

Cons: "Would have paid dearly for a footrest"

Pros: "The entertainment selection was good. They provided a lot of options at no additional cost. Some of the crew was pleasant."
Cons: "In all fairness to British airways this was actually "operated by AA" and their customer service leaves much to be desired. Traffic to get into the airport was the worst I've ever seen. When we finally arrived, Although we checked in prior to arrival, we still had to wait in line for over an hour to check in our bags! We told the agents three times our flight was boarding, however, they were almost nasty and would not expedite us. they finally started to call our flight and we were pulled from the line, even then it was very disorganized how we were processed. We had to run through security and the long terminal and along with others in our flight that had been in line, were the last to board as the flight was delayed waiting for us. One of the worst experiences ever. They really need to do something about their check in process as we were not the only ones subjected to these delays. The plane had technical problems landing and had to be towed in but thank God we made it."

Pros: "Only scraped a two as was enough movies to watch."
