Getting luggage in place used to be a simple and minor issue, now it occupies much of the time, energy, and attention of the cabin crew as well as the gate crew. I realize this is making money for Delta but the cost is being paid by people being hit in the head with luggage and the crew's unavailability to deal with other issues."

Cons: "On this Delta flight operated by Virgin Atlantic one of us was unable to check in or change our seats. You think you are getting Delta but everything must be done through VA. VA bag weights are less than Delta and the seat was incredibly cramped. We both had to sit with our legs bowed to the side as the seat ahead was so close. For nine hours we were cramped and could not sleep due to only be able to squeeze into one position. To get into the seat I put on leg in and then sat on the armrest and then brought my other leg up and then lowered my but into the seat. I am not even 6 feet tall and had this issue. So due to the difficult online check-in and seat selection and to the cramped seats we will never fly Virgin Atlantic again."

There was a delay because the flight crew came from another arriving flight, so they had to go through the full pre-flight checklist. Then there was a "minor maintenance issue" that couldn't be fixed right away because it was "shift change" for the maintenance crews. Eventually they arrived and fixed whatever, while everyone was getting texts and alerts that kept delaying the departure by 15-minute intervals. Over an hour (while sitting in a warm plane) after the original scheduled departure, we left the gate, sat on the taxiway a while, then took off. Cabin crew only had cookies and drinks, no other snacks or food. All anyone got was an apology for the extended delay."

Someone should have planned gates and deplaning schedules better, it's an awful experience sitting and doing nothing when you're so close to being home. The other thing that was bothersome was on this 6 hour flight, my entertainment screen didn't work. Which not only meant I would need to entertain myself for the next 6 hours, but also there wasn't a way to get the flight attendants attention. When they came around with drinks, I asked two of them how to fix the screen and they gave me two different answers which neither worked. Then when I needed anything I would have to make my neighbors move and go walk to find someone. Overall not my favorite flying experience and didn't feel taken care of by the crew or AA. And to think I spent extra money to fly with AA..."

This time they were on time both ways, even though there was a snow storm on the way back. I like getting to pick my seat and my bags showed up so I was happy."

Frontier leaves so much to be desired."

This added $60 to my trip, making the flight no longer "low cost" also I was sitting in the back of the plane and the bathrooms were emitting a sewage smell during the whole flight. We were also delayed for over an hour both ways once sitting on the plane and there was no explanation as to why. I would never consider taking this airline again."

Cons: "When I get to the gate the woman told me that I don't pay for my carry on luggage even though it was the 2nd flight in a round trip flight. The first part I got on with the same exact bags with no extra charge. Instead of looking up my info she told me I pay or I stay. Without raising my voice I asked her to check but this caused her to get defensive. We had 5 min to get on the flight and we didn't have time to argue. Frontier robbed me of $120. I fly back and forth from Florida to New Jersey always using Frontier. This past weekend is my last time using that airline. Jet Blue and American will now get my business and I'll make sure I tell everyone I know about what happened."

Pros: "Frontier is the new breed of airlines that will soon be charging you for the air you breath on the plane! There is nothing I can recommend about this airline. Every step of the process involves additional charges including charges for seats, early-check-in and carry on luggage…. carry on luggage is an additional $40.00!!! Many of the other passengers felt misled and this resulted in a number of frustrated, angry and disappointed people at check-in."

Also I was told my flight was delayed more then 3 hours a couple of hours before the original time of flight. Had to hang at airport and those 3 hours delay messed completely with my weekend trip to Vegas where I had a camper rented with time for pick up."

Cons: "The seats were very uncomfortable, there was no entertainment, you have to pay $40 for carry on luggage. The flight got delayed 3 hours, the staff was rude to the passengers. We had to take a detour to Philadelphia instead of NY to refuel, which took an extra hour and a half. They gave us no snacks/vouchers in the mean time. We ended up arriving at 10pm instead of the original arrival time of 4pm."
Cons: "The flight came in 2 and a half hours late, supposedly due to a computer glitch in colorado. We then had to stop in Philadelphia to refuel for hours and ended up at Laguardia close to 6 hours late! During that time a no point did the crew offer the passengers any snacks or even water. Not even to the children. They actually made people who couldn't hold any longer pay for snacks and drinks! The pilot then had a tantrum and refused to leave until a dissatisfied passenger was removed. Classy... Also, they make you pay for carry-on. Quite a lot. Smallest seats I have ever been in. Avoid this airline!!!"
Cons: "I didnt like the fact that the flight was delayed and a notification wasn't sent to my phone. I had checked the status that night when I checked in and early in the morning and the system said that the flight was on time. It wasnt until I reached the airport and the lady behind the baggage counter told me that the flight was delayed for two hours. I went to go eat with my daughter at the Chilis restaraunt. I figired since the flight was delayed why not have some lunch and head to the plane an hour before take off time. I left the restarant and went through screening. One of the TSA memebers asked me why was I going in so early when the flight was on delayed. I let them know that the flight was suppose to be taken off in an hour so they let me through. As I'm walking through the terminla they have someone walking bu asking if anyone was getting on the frontier flight. I told them that I was on that flight and they told me I needed to hurry up because the plane was about to leave. I became nervous ans started running down the gate to make it to the plane. I'm running with a two year old so Im pretty sure that you can only imagine how difficult that was. Once I reached the gate I was out of breath and it was suppose to be eight minutes before we took off. However we sat on the plane for about another thirty minutes before we left. I feel as though the communication with the airline is not there 100% and if you are sitting in an airport you should be able to hear the update especially when they are not planned ir taking place at a time that is different from what was already relayed."

Cons: "We got bussed from Philadelphia to LGA as plane was short of fuel due to long wait time landing in LGA. It was just terrible. Took forever to get to NY. Not entirely airlines fault. Weather has lot to do with it. But number of factors contributed. Boarding was delayed as we missed our a lot and took of later on top of already late flight. Then. Things just went south. The Staff were very counties and helpful and did their best."

They got us inside the plane at 1:45 and flight didn't leave till 3p!! The seats were squished and no one would give us any info. Close to departure the pilot said there was a maintenance issue. The other 2 female stewardesses were bitches. An asian one with short hair and a chubby blonde one in about her 60s."

It took about 2 hours to figure out how to get scheduled on a different airline."

Cons: "2hrs late departing because of air traffic? I don't believe them. I saw a repair van on the tarmac. Seats are packed in VERY close and they don't recline. There's so little padding in the seat that you can feel the metal frame, so you're very uncomfortable. They sell everything they serve including water. There are no monitors so tv or movies are not even an option. Flight crew doesn't say good-bye, thank you or anything as you exit craft. I'm not sure what the attendants do other than offer to sell you water and tell you what you can and cannot do on their plane. They try to shame you into paying for your carry on and paying to book a seat, calling the seat they assign you "random" like they'll put you in the bathroom or out on the wing. When you get to the airport, you find the approved size for your included personal item is the size of your carry on. They don't check to see who paid for their carry on so only suckers paid. We will never ever fly Spirit!"

Cons: "Baggage retrieval takes 4x longer than any other airline despite Spirit's inflated rates. The lack of reclining seats in all areas of the plane is ridiculous and makes the flights unbearable. Lesson learned. I'll pay the extra $25 for JetBlue or Southwest. Never again!"

Cons: "I doubt anyone likes just HOW MUCH Spirit nickel and dimes you. Yes, we all get the concept that since nothing is included, the base fare is cheaper than other airlines.. Which is certainly not always the case. Charging people $10 to print a boarding pass is a joke. It's never convenient to print when I'm in someone else's house, and I refuse to pay $10 for something you have to have that's free everywhere else. If you're going to continue this, it'd be wise to get onboard with technology and have a mobile boarding pass.. Save the trees and all that. I'd rather pay $10 more for my flight and not be worried about printing a boarding pass, and also to include one free soda/water during flight. Please take this all into consideration."

Cons: "Spirit's model is "No frills" which means you have to pay additional $$ for EVERYTHING besides your seat: carry on, checked baggage, food, drinks, etc etc. Someone even had to pay extra to print their boarding pass at the counter (they missed that you have to use the kiosks first). If you are going to actually benefit from low ticket prices you have to be traveling really light and maybe sure you pay for your luggage in advance online. Lines were long, service was slow, and they lost my luggage and never called me when it was finally found. Then they were saying i had to pay to get it delivered, until i proved that i hadn't checked in late to my flight (thankfully my kiosk check-in time was in their system). All around negative experience."

Cons: "On an Atlanta to Boston trip, they cancelled the flight an hour before takeoff, said we couldn't fly out until the next afternoon, and refused to help us rebook with another airline. I was able to rebook with Southwest at double the cost (and it wasn't even a direct flight). Spirit said the flight was cancelled due to weather but every other airline was still flying to Boston."

And our connector flight spirit decided to cancel and could provide no explanation. On top of all that after we drove the rest of the way spirit lost my luggage."
