Pros: "Seats were comfortable. The food was very good. We pre-ordered a cheese plate and a wrap. A few weeks before our trip, Alaska Air changed the flight times, and we decided the connection time was too tight and so changed to a later connection. The agent we talked to about the change was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. It's a good airline, typically rated as the best or second-best of the US airlines. As far as we can tell, its high rating is accurate."
Cons: "We originally had chosen our flight from Boston to Seattle to connect with our flight from Seattle to Sitka with an hour and ten minutes between them. However, Alaska Air changed the schedules of both flights, leaving only 45 minutes between flights. That is barely enough time to connect (the flights left from different terminals) if there are no delays. We thus had to change our plans not long before our departure to another flight to Sitka that left 5 hours later, forcing us to kill a lot of time in the boring Seatac airport. Apparently Alaska Air is notorious for changing its flight schedules. Travelers should keep that in mind when arranging flights and try to choose first flights that arrive soon enough that several alternative connecting flights are possible if Alaska Air changes the flight times."

Cons: "There were a couple of individuals with oversized carry-ons that held up boarding as they tried repeatedly to get the carry-ons into the overhead bins. Utilizing a carry-on sizing tool in the gate area would have identified these two oversized carry-ons PRIOR to boarding and could have kept everyone safer. Instead, passengers behind the offenders were waiting while the bags were opened, items removed, and another attempt made at stuffing them into the overhead bins, all while passengers already seated were subjected to even more compromised social distancing in enclosed spaces."

The kiosks would not print baggage tags, there was no one to drop your bags with. We waited 2 1/2 hours, having to sit on the floor because there are no chairs in the terminal. When we finally got on the plane I witnessed the miss handling of pets being loaded by the baggage handlers. They had 3 pet carriers on the cart. Two were set apart on the bottom with the third tipped diagonally in the the space between on top of the other 2. Then the picked up and plunked down on the belt. That animal would have had no water for the 5.5 hour flight as the dishes in the carrier were spilled over."

In flight they are professional and personable and keep you up to date on what you need to know! Plus, I’m always happy when my flights have USB ports so I’m fully charged when I deplane."

Cons: "They changed my seats without telling me, even the day before my itinerary said I was in the first row of First Class by the window with my partner's seat right beside me and they switched it because of some policy that forbids dogs yet couldn't let me know that in July when I booked this and spoke to a representative on the phone to confirm I was even allowed to bring a dog on board. And even then they made me feel like it was not possible and had to stow my dog below in cargo because only one dog could be in the First Class section, and again I was never told that in that moment I couldn't have my dog in the first row. Also, the representative was very clear I had to have a health certificate for my dog to fly and not only did that cost me a large deal of money and time at the veterinarian's office, but no one ever even inquired to see it. I wasted time and money for no reason other than the incompetence exhibited by Alaskan Airlines, and it's surprising to have such consistent subpar service. Especially when you're paying for First Class. Also, your food on flight had several allergens in them. Even your choice of cookie for passengers had two different types of soy. This is a common food allergy. Needless to say, I'll be flying with another airline for my trips to Alaska, as this is not my only one planned."

Cons: "My flight back my cab driver was late. I got there at 530 first of all the baggage drop lady was rude and looked me up and down before choosing to talk to me. I was told they didn't have bags for my car seat and that I missed my flight. By the time I scheudled a new flight and made it through security to wait for my 9 am instead of 6 am flight the flight I was suppsosed to be on was boarding. Also when I checked my bags after being told I had to call the 1800# instead of use the customer service desk I was told that I had to pay for my pack n play. When it was not charged on the way up."

For a $900 1 way ticket, I expect more of this airline Flight attendants seemed like they didn't want to be there. Wasn't feeling the love. it was a 12:30am flight. We are all tired, but c'mon. When I went up to the counter, the lady told me too bad, she couldn't ask someone in an isle seat to switch, but I could do it myself if I wanted. My daughter is 2, can't exactly sit by herself. Food service didn't begin until almost 2 hours into a 3 hour flight but it was in no way due to turbulence. After food service, no trash service came around until about a half hour before landing. Slowest moving crew I have ever seen in my life. Also, the bathrooms were beyond disgusting. I will never fly Alaska again."

Cons: "The heat was high, we asked the male steward many times to request the heat turned down, people were removing as much clothing as possible. It was very hot and sticky and smelly. The descent to landing was to fast when near the runway, and we crashed hard like a carrier landing. I would inspect the gear and wing spats for cracks. The fuselage bowed like a banana, it was evident looking down the tube sitting the back. How about a breathalyzer or something, everybody knows the drunken pilots, the can't be fired and they know it, so it takes years to sober them up at our expense. The pilots who've been caught drinking are not trying to get better, they just whine that the others who haven't been caught yet are even worse drunks. Everybody who flys on Alaska has heard it from the same old Alaska born drunken pilots. How about less drunken bush piloting and get your drunken pilots who've been busted in the last few years to shut up and stop telling everyone that all Alaska pilots are drunks as defense of there drunkeness."

Cons: "In Bethel there is no jet way. In Anchorage if the flight is a Combi who still must walk outside. The meals are packaged and you must pay for them. And there is no Wi-Fi or entertainment."

Cons: "The flight attendants were uniformly rude and nasty to passengers from start to finish. As I boarded, I asked for a piece of art to be stored in the wardrobe compartment. This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

So of course people cut right in front of me as I was about to scan my pass. What is the point of asking us to come up if they are just going to let people jump in front of me."

She barely slept the whole flight and I had a stuardis in a red dress who whem I asked for for a beverage made it seem like I asked for it right now. Didn't say a word Else to me until it was time to land and my daughter had just fell asleep. She told me. I had to take her out of the baby carrier. My daughter needed a diaper change and there were no places to change her. I tried to change her by the door really fast. The stuardis said no go change in a bathroom I asked which one had a changing station they said none and to just change in my lap. Plus my car seat was broke when I got it back."

Bags took longer than 20 minutes to arrive but we didn't make a fuss since we were just glad to be finished with Delta. I'll never fly Delta again even if it costs me more."

Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

We atrempted to change our seats online at KLM (not possible), online at Delta (didn't recognize our KLM purchased flight), in person at KLM counter in SVG, in person with THE Delta rep at the check-in gate in AMS...no one could help us due to different systems used for seating for each company that the other one doesn't have access to. Flights booked by one company and operated by another seem common enough that this system needs to be improved. - Silver KLM travelers Also WAY too hot on plane."

Very nice at check in and flight attendants were very accommodating. You could tell they liked their job!

The plane, although parked at the gate all night, had a problem. Apparently the cockpit door had been locked. It took three hours (!!) to get this cleared up.

The entertainment box wasn’t working. The food was mediocre. The fruit was warm. The tiny salad was good. The champagne wasn’t cold. I really expected more from First Class.

I was double-masking and I do not have allergies. I wonder if it had to do with the chemicals used to disinfect the plane between flights? I was not very comfortable, to say the least. Everything else was great, though, but I don’t think I will be flying again anytime soon."

I sent a letter to Allianz (the company that handles the travel insurance) and blasted them for their insensitivity in a difficult time. Going forward, I will not be purchasing travel insurance in the future. It may sound irrational but if you think about it, travel insurance is the tax on gullible people. You hear travel insurance and one assumes that if you spend the extra money on the insurance and something comes up, you can at least get much of your money back. Don't count on it! It's a 1/1000 chance they will do the right thing so the odds are not in people's favor. If you want to be smart, use the money you would have spent on travel insurance on some pre flight cocktails at the airport bar. Air travel is hellish enough without scams like Allianz!"

I was the first person in line for stand by, but the flight was full so I knew it was a long shot. Waiting at the gate, I was excited because one person didn't show and they were giving him a two minute wait time before I could board. During this wait time a woman passenger came over and said she had just been given a ticket change at the gate counter. The agent at the gate was furious because the flight was sold out and said the woman should not have received a ticket, but should have been placed on stand by. She went over and scolded the other agent for this mistake. Okay, so she should've been placed on STAND BY behind me in line. After the unprofessional arguing between the two agents, they both admitted it was a mistake and she should be second in line for stand by, BUT they did not honor this and placed her on the plane bumping me. Needless to say, I missed my connecting flight because of this and extremely inconvenienced my family and in addition had to pay an extra 75 dollars out of my pocket to keep my dogs at their kennel an extra night because I arrived home 5 hours after expected. I understand that flights end up getting delayed and the agents are doing the best they can to accommodate travelers, but admitting a mistake and not fixing it to make it right is unacceptable. I notified American Airlines of my situation and only received a form letter with enough miles to get me 1/8 of a flight. I don't even care about the miles because I don't plan to ever fly with them again, I want the money for the dog kennel I had to pay extra. I was visiting my husband who serves in the US Army causing separation from our family for long periods of time and this extra headache and expense due to the mistake of American Airlines was disheartening."

My connection was already tight as it was - and I had to go to a completely different terminal very far from where I was to catch it. Five of us were on that flight connecting to San Diego. We finally made it to the gate. The plane was still there but the door was closed so we were not allowed to board. It was the last flight out so we were stranded in Houston overnight. This caused me to miss a very important medical appointment this morning - and to have to cancel client sessions leading to a significant loss of income."

They're molded in such a way your head always leans forward, they don't recline, there's very little leg room or side room. Arm rests are half the size of the usual, and tray tables are also half the size! If you're on the plane for an hour flight, it's do-able, but any longer than that, you'll be miserable. For the record, I'm tall and thin, and I felt squished sideways."

On top of this the flight was delayed by more than six hours and we were not offered any sort of refreshments on the flight free of charge to compensate for the large delay and overall made the experience poor. I will never fly with frontier again and would neither recommend the company to my clients or friends. I demand a refund on the charge of my carry on luggage as that was a shady business practice and poor service by frontier airlines for also delaying my flight."

Pros: "FRONTIER EMPLOYEES maintained a friendly attitude despite the chaos."
Cons: "Baggage check-in had one very long line. I waited 40 minutes to simply check my bags. My two small bags were expensive to check (compared with other airlines). After all expenses there were no savings over other airlines (other airlines with better service and better jets). Frontier has NO TSA PRE CHECK PROGRAM!!! Initial flight it was a big nuisance, return flight it was even worse. The security line was at least a 2 hour wait. The Frontier flight in the gate next to us left without 25+ passengers because they were still in line at security. The flight: this was the roughest most frightening flight I've encountered. I found myself having to calm down the passenger next to me. We arrived 40 min late. Return trip: my luggage didn't appear and I had to file paperwork at the ticket desk on another floor. The 2 pieces of luggage were found and delivered to me 3 days after. Case closed. I don't mind the no-frills interior & seats that don't recline. I can bring my own snacks and beverages. But this airline disregards the value of my time."
Cons: "I thought the flight attendant was very rude to a young mother flying alone with her young child over a seat belt issue ( this was before the seat belt sign was illuminated)."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The flight was cancelled and could only be rescheduled via phone, which took over 3 hours. At that point, we had to pay $138 per person for a flight the following day. We also lost $90 for baggage and seat fees which was not reimbursed. I'm still in shock about how poorly this situation was handled by Frontier."
Pros: "Boarding was fast. The only slightly negative I noticed was the window was very dirty on the inside and the seat back in front of me was too."
Pros: "Price was good."
Cons: "Charged for every thing seats, luggage, . Took over an hour for luggage. They waited for the next Frontier flight about half an hour then brought lugage from both flights at the same time. Not enough to get me back to Frontier!"
