Cons: "The plane boarded and left gate a little late but had a maintenance issue with one of its doors so plane had to return to gate. We finally got off the ground almost three hours late but staff tried to be as helpful as possible though they didn’t know much. It was good the passengers seemed fairly patient and accepting. The horror was at the airport in Venice where it took over two hours in very long line just to get through passport check."
Cons: "Because of airline delay and increased immigration wait time, we missed our flight. No compensation but we were connected to another flight to Sac. 1-1/2 hours later, which worked out okay, except we got home very late at night."

Cons: "Our 2nd flight was changed by the airline, causing us to have a 6 hour layover in Philadelphia instead of a 2 hour layover. Then when we ask about changing to a different flight they told us that the original flight we were supposed to be on (that we booked over 8 months ago) was completely full so that’s why we were moved, and there were no other flights available to switch to. So we accepted that. But when we printed our boarding passes, we saw that our seats were now separate from each other, and they were both middle seats! I don’t understand how booking my tickets so far in advance still resulted in these issues. We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :("

Cons: "I booked in August with your company for a trip in December. I booked out of Pittsburgh to Philly both directions to avoid Chicago. I picked seats and also chose British Airways. What I got was my trip to Philly to Manchester with middle of the middle seats (I PAID FOR AISLE). On the way back we got a change through Chicago (which I tried to avoid by booking in August). We did get the proper seats, fortunately. I will never book with your company again. So dissatisfied ....I booked so early and to no advantage."

Cons: "The service had much to be desired. The stewardess who was serving our section was curt and rude. Whenever I would ask for a napkin (that she had forgotten to give with my drink, I might add) or any other questions, she would come off as annoyed and as if I was testing her patience, which I did not appreciate as I had been having a horrible experience with American Airlines as it was. Also, why do you not serve milk with your coffee? The flight only served half and half, and I cannot have cream in my coffee at all. So unless you want to clean up my diarrhea in your toilets, I suggest you start giving options. It's not like milk is a scarce delicacy in the US. How is it that other airlines offer both milk and cream, but I get told by your staff, rudely, that half and half "is milk" and that it's all you have? Unbelievable. I hate to be a b*** but honestly this isn't the first time that I got treated like this on AA. I always seem to have a horrible experience with this airline."

For the last hour and a half of the flight the dog Sat on the owners lap. My allergies and asthma begin to flare up prior to landing . Not a pleasant flight ."

Pros: "The "very" new 777-200 was very comfortable, well-laid out. I usually skip or leave half of the in-flight food served, but this rates as one of the best meals, I've had in an airplane outside of business class. The in-flight entertainment/information service was decent, but perhaps because the plane was still in new condition."
Cons: "On this entire business trip, I booked with other companies, but ended up 5 flights operated by American Airlines. One cancellation, 4 delayed, 3 late arrivals. The last one was the most annoying. I will be avoiding AA in the future. The domestic crews are generally brusque and miserable. The international flight crews were more accommodating and pleasant, but most of them also seemed annoyed at passenger presence. Also, having to pay for a preferred seat on a half-empty airplane is simply unfair. By 24hrs before the flight, AA must have known there were plenty of empty seats."

I didn't purchase a sandwich but on the outbound flight, the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using on-board Wifi, as well as 2 TV shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."

Cons: "The original flught flight was delayed and we had to wait in a long slow line, however , once we got to desk , the agent was very nice and we had already been rebooked on an Alaska flight. So we never ended up going to Phoenix. The resolution was acceptable but it made for a 12 hour travel day instead of a 4 hour travel day."

Cons: "Late boarding and long wait on runway to be able to take off, thus ensuring connection in Panamá would be missed. Given that one runway was closed due to wind, this is something outside the control of United. Nevertheless, allowing a connecting flight with only 30 minutes between flights would seem to be overly risky, thus any delay upon departure will ensure a missed connection."

Cons: "My confirmation number did not work; originally my flight appeared to be through copa but then it was clear that it was part of the way on United and part of the way on copa; Was unable to check in for flight before getting to the airport; first flight was very delayed and connecting flight was not acknowledged in the delay - in other words, I was going to miss the connecting flight but was unable to get any information about re-booking; waited in the airport for 6 hours then boarded the plane and sat on the plane for 3 hours, then was told flight was delayed until the following day; eventually did take off 22 hours late; when I arrived in Quito finally my bag did not make it; they did not deliver my bag to my hotel as they said they would in the airport, instead I had to go an agency and pick it up. I missed a day and a half of seeing a dear friend I was coming here to visit and nothing can make up for that. Overall, terrible experience."

They said to run and the plane would still be there however at the kiosk, the personell was very unhelpful. They made us miss our flight, fly out the next day and didn't now help change our return flight to the next day. I called united, the booking agency and the other airline without getting any changes."
Cons: "A five hour flight and you only get a mini pack of mini pretzels and a soda. The boarding was made an hour late, the United employees didn’t seem to care that a line formed ine hour before. Two people near me were blasting their smartphones listening to music and/or playing games with their smartphones but without earphones and not one person from the crew told them to shut it up."

My luggage was lost. I did not make my connecting flight. Had sty over in Panama. Got to my destination a day late without my carry on ( checked at the gate...lost). Still have not located my other 2 bags. Very stressful expirence. Will not fly united again. Staff at my lay over was poorly trained at handling the situation and my luggage issue is taking a very long time to correct."

Cons: "They gave me the wrong ticket. They did not call the my name as TSA created a huge line and a lot of costumers lost their flights. When i finally entered the terminal and i went to the gate, the plane had left ahead of time, therefore i missed my flight and i had to pay a different flight with a different airline because i had to be in Manhattan, NY during the morning hours. The people at the gate did not give me a alternative even after i told them my urgency. They said you can wait here until 4 pm or take the morning flight tomorrow. This was very wrong and i want my money back."

Cons: "Crew was so rude at the airport - took us an hour to get through a ten person line to check our bags. Could have gone a lot better had the Spirit employees cared and prioritized those who were prepared and not just buying tickets."
Cons: "Children (3 within the age of 8-12)unattended left to pull on and kick the seat in front of them, loud arguing that was never addressed. My hair was pulled several times when they would grab the top of the seat to stand up or just harassing each other. I also witnessed them on cell phones that were not in airplane mode and never once did their parent reprimand them for their behavior. I had to do this from the seat in front of them. When the flight landed the entire family talked loudly about pushing their way off the plane to get to another flight, little did they know others had connecting flights to reach as well. Poor behavior & left to make others have a worse flight"

As soon as the last flight to the destination left on another airline, they cancelled the flight and refused to rebook on any other airline. I got rebooked 2 days later. The cancellation was due to a lack of a crew."

We were supposed to be in Las Vegas at 12:00 pm Thursday and they offered us a flight on Friday at 7:00 pm stating this is the best they could do. We had to book with Delta on the red eye that night to get to Las Vegas. Spirit would not compensate us and we our out $560, plus all of the events we booked Thursday."

I had to spend at least 2 hours on the phone with a Spirit agent to get to pay for my bags before arriving at the airport at all - I wasn't able to do it online. On day of flight: the first leg was delayed. When we got to layover our final flight had been cancelled with no reason given. We were booked on another flight 8 hours later which meant we got in late enough that I had to miss another day of work. The Spirit agent at the gate in Las Vegas was also extremely rude. I also didn't get any phone or email updates."

Cons: "They charge for a carry on bag, charge more for checked luggage than any other airlines, charge you if your bag is over 40 lbs (not 50 lbs like all other airlines), they don't provide any complimentary snacks/drinks on plane. Flight attendants all had a flat affect and looked liked they hated their job on both my flights. On departure flight it took over 30 mins to get luggage to the carousel. Will never fly spirit again."

Cons: "I flew from Philly to Las Vegas and then Las Vegas to Atlanta to Philly on the way back. Each time the flights were delayed due to the previous connecting flights inability to be on time. At the airport the gate staff did not give updates for the airline departure. Once aboard the aircraft, the flight crew were loudly carrying on for the entire flight giving little regard for those around them especially since one flight was a redeye flight. I will not be flying this airline again."

Cons: "Was supposed to arrive in New York Monday evening. My flight was cancelled once I got to Detroit because of weather over New York. The staff was blatantly rude and unhelpful. They also told me I wouldn't be able to get another flight to New York until the following Thursday. They didnt offered any vouchers for food or hotel. I eventually I had to rent a van with four strangers and drive 11 hours at 11:45 pm to avoid paying what would have easily been a thousand dollars in hotel fares and food for 3 days. They also told me they would refund part of my flight cost when I was in like for two hours, then denied saying that on the phone later that day."

Cons: "The chairs are low budget seats cushions are thin with and the leg room is limited which makes the ride very uncomfortable. I travel with various airlines and this was my 1st time traveling with spirit. This is by far my most uncomfortable plane ride with any airline. The cost for all beverages Is another concern. It is practically a potential health concern for a customer flying 2 hours or more to not have at least water provided for free. The credit card only for beverage payment also is a inconvenience for a small purchase that could easily be settle with cash. In closing, I feel this company is a prime example of producing poor service when the airline try to cut cost then capitalize on every single accommodation at the complete expense and inconvenience of the customers."

Cons: "I was charged $10 twice for my bag and $10 for my seat, going and coming, since it wasn't a non stop. What a rip off. I had to get off the plane and get back on the plane and sit in the same seat and be charged another $10. NOT A GOOD way to treat customers if you want them to return."

Cons: "Where do I start?? Because my flight was delayed I had missed this connection. I tried to find help but there was no one at any gate to help. When I did find someone who worked for Spirit she ignored me. Finally she got off the phone & wasn't any help at all! My connecting flight left @6 am & there was no other flight out to NY till 4pm. I asked Spirit if they could upgrade me to another flight on another airline but was turned down immediately. I then asked for a voucher & the employee said I had to fill out paperwork. The only credit I could obtain was the flight from Detroit to NY but then again I would have to go downstairs to another office to fill out documents for reimbursement. I basically waited all day at the airport with no food vouchers of any sort & then the flight was delayed from 4pm to 4:40pm. Once the time came to board I was told I had to pay $100 for one piece of luggage that I didn't have to pay for starting at LAX. I told the man at the counter that I've been at the airport all day because my first flight came in late & so I had missed the connection & he said he would only charge me $50. I felt I shouldn't have paid for nothing since no one was trying to help all day. I would never, ever fly Spirit airlines again."
