We had the front row Big seats. 1A & 1C. Comfortable yes, but we took the red eye from Mpls to Ft Lauderdale and I couldn't sleep on the flight as the light from the galley shined in my face the whole flight. I was sorry I paid extra for that. Just sayin....
The flight was cancelled and not only were they not very helpful, they wanted to charge $200 more for a seat on a flight the next morning. To have to pay just to get a seat and $45 just to take a carry on is ridiculous and will never book through them again!
I traveled to FLL for a Spirit FA interview and was hired! On the flight there, flight ops and in-flight services made great accommodations because the flight had a 2 hour and 30 minute delay. They moved me to the front of the aircraft to expedite my deplaning process and arranged for a taxi to take me to the interview! I have never had a better flight experience!
Both my flights were delayed but the in-flight and flight ops team made every effort to make sure I got to where I needed to be when I needed to be there. I genuinely had a fantastic flight experience.
young man (ground crew) in MSP was very helpful, courteous and professional.
first flight (MSP to Fort Lauderdale) was 3 hours late which caused us to miss our connecting flight (also with Spirit) by 2 minutes because Spirit was unwilling to do what ALL major airlines have done in my experience of the last 30 years of flying. When your own airline has a delay usually the other plane is asked and willing to wait if we are just talking minutes.
No options were offered for FLYING to Tampa for the same day. Waiting another 24 hours is not an option when you are booked into a resort for only 4 nights! After waiting in the airport for almost 3 hours on a promised shuttle from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa we finally left.
This was supposed to be a quick break in the sun for my son who just lost his dad. What a terrible way to start our quick get-away.
Also main stewart was unkind almost rude on the plane. He was teaching a rookie who was very kind and trying to be helpful but was discouraged to do so
I have flown much in my life . This was my first and honestly most likely my last time flying with Spirit.
The crew is very unfriendly.
The cost of the ticket was cheap, however the flight was delayed ntil 2:50 AM when we were supposed to take off at 12:00 AM. I arrived at the airport with some of the spirit staff sitting down and letting me know that the flight may be cancelled altogether since it was delayed. The woman at the desk in the MSP airport told me that if "ya'll don't sit in your seats fast, the plane will be cancelled." This was after arriving at the airport around 3AM since my flight was delayed.
I get it, the tickets are cheap.... but should the experience and hospitality be so cheap as well?
