Take photos of luggage (if you care about it) prior to boarding. Also, report issues at destination airport and not after leaving. Unfortunately i let my fiance handle gathering our luggage and didnt take note of the damage until we were back at home the morning following our return.

I wish I knew the deal to get uber/lyft in advance and if I should book while on plane or at baggage claim. I waiting’s about 10 minutes which I could have avoided had I known
MehdiFlew with Sun Country Air-Dec 2025
In Minneapolis stop at terminal 1 if you want to go to lounge and then go to terminal 2. In LAX, don’t take the late flights!
Verified travelerFlew with Hawaiian Airlines-Jun 2025
Minneapolis is just a great airport. Signs to the rental area were a little unclear but that was not a huge deal as the tram only goes to one stop so you can’t get too misplaced.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-May 2025
MSP is an excellent airport. If possible, obtain some type of precheck clearance for initial airport screening.
KaylaFlew with Alaska Airlines-Apr 2025
Be prepared for possible long wait at security, make sure to check baggage policies and carry one allowances.
MatthewFlew with Frontier-Mar 2025
Bring a seat cushion? The seats aren’t very comfortable.
BrandyiFlew with Delta-Jan 2025
If you’re coming from an international destination to MSP airport, choose a layover that allows at least 90 minutes. You deplane, then you go through immigration first. After that, you pick up your bags from the carousel, then you stand in a long line to go through customs. After customs, you have to drop off your bags, then stand in line to go through security. All this before you see the terminal and gates to connecting flights. Many travelers missed their connecting flights because several flights from International destinations arrived at the same time at MSP airport, and there was only one line from the baggage pickup carousel area through security. Give yourself plenty of time; a layover with less than 60 minutes is risky.
AlanFlew with Alaska Airlines-Dec 2024
We need more maps or layouts of the airport available and what's available when flying to the next airport or where terminals are located to maximize time when there are layovers.
RoderickFlew with Delta-Nov 2024
For 7a flight, arrive early! Security lines were very long.
RoxanneFlew with American Airlines-Oct 2024
Get to airport early, as they only have two entrances into terminal!! Waiting line long. After checked by TSA, they were very slow moving people along though scanner. I hate going to MSP. It use to be a good airport, but sucks now!!
MaggieFlew with Sun Country Air-Apr 2024
Get to the airport a little over 2 hours early if you have kids for a smooth experience
JoanneFlew with Air Canada-Apr 2024
It was not clear to me that my Air Canada flight would be handled by United, so I had some uncertainty about check-in. A United employee helped me check in eventually. Check for code-sharing partners.
PhilipFlew with Sun Country Air-Apr 2024
Check the fees and add them to the cost of the flight
Verified travelerFlew with Delta-Apr 2024
use restroom prior to boarding, hallway very small
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2024
dont use american airlines if possible. if you have to make sure that your layover(if youre flying through) is at least 1.5 to 2 hours…
RonaFlew with Delta-Feb 2024
The TSA line in Mpls was really long, give yourself alot of time.

TSA pre check was faster and more efficient then CLEAR

We were delayed so pilots can rest and had no WiFi the whole trip. First class seats are small compared to other planes

I am in a wheelchair The gate agent knew exactly how to boarding A wheelchair first also the flight attendant knew exactly what she was doing

The ac must have died, it was way to hot on this flight. Boarding g was chaotic. The flight was delayed for boarding. Not a great experience.

I missed the flight because the Minneapolis flight was 49 minutes LATE, and the Boise flight LEFT 24 minutes EARLY!

New high end luggage ruined/zippers broken, items missing. All happened on return flight from msp to mso. Do better! Not store bought luggage but high end personalized ogio custom embroidered luggage. Total slap in the face ontop of an extra luggage fee that took me 3 hrs on chat to resolve.

The plane was old and thus the seats were not good. No cushion left whatsoever, and it all was a bit worn out.

The only thing I would say is we tried to get on a standby earlier flight, but with our fair we couldn’t. That seems senseless to leave with open seats..

My tray was broken so i had no place to work or eat except my lap. Flight attendant said I would get an email with some credit or miles, it was a complete waste of time as I could only function at about 20% of normal. I have not received anything yet.

I was told that they needed to check my bag at the gate and to pick it up at the gate in Richmond. No big deal. I know they can't control the weather, but we flew around RIC for 45 minutes to avoid the storm and were 25 minutes late leaving as well. Once we landed, we were told to go to baggage claim to pick up our luggage. I went to bathroom, paid for parking, and went to the assigned baggage claim location. United flight people came down with us as well. They got their luggage immediately. Next, South West people came down about 10 minutes later. They got their luggage next. We finally got our luggage around 30 minutes in waiting. Was not a wonderful experience. No reflection on Delta, but the ground crew was lousy at best.

As previously noted, this flight was great: departure was timely, the crew was friendly and attentive, and wifi connectivity was seamless. In particular, I appreciated that the flight attendant just told me to stow the laptop right before takeoff/landing, and trusted me to do so (which I did!).

Flight did not have wifi service. It was experiencing technical difficulties. Definitely and old plane that needs updating.

Very Poor. Significant delays getting to Chicago and then very poor communication on delays in Chicago to Cleveland. We could have rented a car and driven there faster than the delays ended up being.

The app logs you out right when you are boarding requiring all passwords and reservation number for the flight. Super annoying

The pre-order only approach for fresh food is really challenging

The Wi-Fi did not work, so you weren't able to watch entertainment on your own device. They did not have wired headphones so you couldn't watch it on the in-seat entertainment screen either. There was plenty of time to do a drink and snag service but the flight attendants chose not to.

Late- that’s what United does best. Missed my connection, rebooked to a flight 17 hours later and had to spend $500 on a hotel. What did I get? A $15 meal voucher. What can you get in an airport for $15. I hate United so much.

Standard flight with a drinks and a snack- overall very quick flight. The flight attendants were very strict, bordered on rude.

The aircrew was solid, the flight was chill, I had no issues. The gate agent was not the best. I was trying to use a military bag upgrade to move my bag from under the seat to the overhead bins and he told me there’s no overhead bins on the plane, argued with me why booking put a military member in basic economy (I don’t really understand this) and made it an issue to even try to help me stating I’d have to call reservations to get a bag upgrade. When every other agent with United can add it at the gate, this man couldn’t be bothered.

They did get us booked on a later flight, but it made us miss our connecting flight. So, we had to stay and another state overnight with no luggage or clothes. Because they kept our luggage at airport for next flight on the next day.

Loading was quick and efficient. The bate and switch with discount tickets were you are forced to pay for bag.

Luggage handling and communication is extremely poor. I landed in india 15th and recived luggage today. Based on my itag the luggage was in Germany. They kept me in dark. Etihad num er in india was non operatuonal. Had to call USA etihad. It should not be so difficullt. I came for 1 week business trip everything was screwed . This is the first and also will be last for me

There was no service on the flight even though there was no turbulence or any other issues on the flight. Nobody greeted at the entry or leaving the airplane, staff crew looked annoyed and not helpful at all.

mechanical problem delayed more than 2 hours on the run way.

I was downgraded from first class to coach due to an airplane change. They pulled me out of line and I was the very last person to board the plane stuck in the middle seat with no overhead place to put my carry-.on. Very poor customer service.

We hoarded. Then we deplaned. Then we waited for 10 hours in the MSP airport due to a wheel misfunction. We understand safety but communication between crew and airport staff was horrible. When we did finally board, we were rushed on and because we were waiting for a “fresh” pilot and crew, we sat in a roasting plane with no A/C for an hour. My question is why was this flight not cancelled right away when they knew this would be a huge issue OR, why did AA not get a substitute plane, considering this was already a full flight? To me, this appears to be a complete breakdown in leadership and utter systems failure. The compensation for completely disrupting travel plans for hundreds, which we paid dearly for, was measly. While we appreciated the lodging for the night, $12 in meal vouchers isn’t going to sustain anyone for over 12 hours. “We apologize; our hands are tied” is no longer an acceptable explanation. We are so completely turned off by this experience and will definitely seek alternative avenues when we need to fly.

American Airlines was great and worked very hard to change my ticket so I could get an earlier, direct flight back to Dallas. However, I was informed that Kayak made mistakes with my itinerary and classified my ticket as desiring to be on the earlier flight instead of taking the necessary step of calling AA to get me on the standby list. This ended up keeping me from being added to the standby list and delayed me getting home by 6 hours. I am happy to discuss this further with Kayak so they can correct their procedures so this won't happen again.

the trip to madrid was uncomfortable with my legs touching the seat in front of me

Was able to get on early due to being short of breathe. Agents very helpful.

this is starting to seem like an american airlines standard. delayed flights and fake apologies… getting tired of it

It was probably not the fault of the airline, but we taxied for about 15 minutes after landing and also had to wait 5 minutes or so near our gate.

Everything went very smoothly! Thanks for a great first experience flying with small children!

Crew members great. Everything else a 0! Got on plane at 530am. Got de boarded for mechanical issue. Supposed to leave by 830 am. Zero communication from gate agents. Then supposed to leave by 230pm. Then delayed till 330pm. Still zero communication with gate agents. All they would say is if you have an issue call the 1800 number. You call and sit on hold minimum 45 minutes for zero answer. Finally board at 345pm didn’t take off till after 4pm! Sat in airport for 11 hours with 4 adults and 3 kids. Finally offered a $100 (we are sorry) voucher for next trip. Missed whole day in Florida had to change reservations in Florida! Absolute joke of an airline! And I usually really like sun country.

3 seperate extremely rude unhelpful staff. Delayed flight. Lost my bag

Exceptional take off and landing in snow and wind…thank you to the well skilled pilots!

I liked entertainment system being downloaded on my iPad. The selections were limited but I appreciated being able to use my own screen. The flight was just fine. My only issue was both terminals being far from the main airport. Especially stoning at LAX near midnight and having to wait for a bus to take us to baggage pickup. Very inconvenient.

Just fine but comfort is always an issue since the seats are so close

I did not take this flight because the reservation made by Kayak was wrong! Kayak owes me a trip from Minneapolis to Duluth.

The Wi-Fi was off, the arm rests are hard plastic.

I know the airline has been open for 40 years and the flight crew looked just as old. The flight attendants were not friendly and rude. They should think of retiring this crew.

Flight was late, boarding was a mess, families separated so they could make extra profit.

Frontier is good until they cancel your flight. Way too many cancellations.

I know Frontier is a “no-frills” airline. I understand the concept. However, I jumped on some tickets for our family vacation, expecting to play a bit of a game to figure out the family bags and not over spend. In the end, I got the short end of this deal by far. 1. I did not expect them to charge the baggage fee for each direction. It makes the fee look high-ish at a glance, but reasonable. Then when you get to checkout and realize you have to pay it twice to come home with your luggage, it becomes ridiculous. 2. The low checked bag weight limit. I am used to packing a 50lb bag with my preferred airline. Frontier’s artificially low 40lb limit more quickly triggers the extra weight fee, which almost DOUBLES the price of the bag if you go over ($79 for the bag/$75 for the next 10 lbs) 3. The fee for a carry-on bag is the same as a checked bag but with a lower size and weight limit. Make it make sense! 4. The seats are terrible. My 2.5 hour flight almost had me losing my mind. I’m 6’3” and my femurs barely fit in the space provided. My knees had to wiggle just right to jam into the crack next to the armrest of the seat in front of me. The cushioning was thin and inadequate. I am tall but I’m not a freak. These seats are unacceptable. 5. I overheard the woman next to me speaking with the gate agent about being charged a $25 fee for not checking in online - she checked in at the airport counter when she arrived. That’s ridiculous. She was old and in a wheelchair. She had a paper boarding pass, and was obviously not tech savvy. She should not be punished for that. 6. They do not have good placement in the terminals. It was always out on the end or down on a subfloor, and we had to walk out on the tarmac almost every time. In Denver. Their home airport! 7. Every time I loaded a new page on the website while buying my tickets or my bags, it was constantly trying to upsell me on some esoteric bundle. Like, a pop-up every time. Very annoying. 8. No screens in the boarding area (at least where we were) to confirm you’re in the right place. Just static gate number signs. I am sure these are standard practices for Frontier, and I should have read more about them before I purchased tickets, but as a result of this single round trip, I do not plan to ever use this cut-rate airline again. I would rather pay the normal amount for a ticket and be treated like a customer instead of a mark.

Our flight was delayed 2 hours and when they changed the the time to 1 hour I wasn't alerted and when I checked the gate the plane was still there but they already shut the doors so I had to buy another flight.

Great except upon arrival it took them a long time to open the doors

Frontier feels like a family I Worked for Eastern Airlines back in the day and I felt the family vibe that I had then. Thank you

Due to weather, my flight was delayed, further delayed, then canceled. I eventually got through to a support person who helped me find a different route out of MSP, but to get to DIA, they didn't want to, but eventually did help with the connection ticket purchase. But even this replacement flight was delayed time and time again, and I would have missed my connecting flights and I didn't want to get stuck in a layover city, so after 12 hours at the airport with two young boys who were very tired, we just cancelled our plans and spent the week at home, instead of Nana's.

The third party booking with cheapflightsfares was awful. Kayak should NOT partner with them. They sold me a bundle including seat selection and carry-on, but did not book the carry-ons with Frontier, so I’m out of pocket for $414 more while I await resolution.

My tickets got canceled on me by your site and I didn't have a flight. Then you kept sending me emails on the status of q flight I didn't have tickets for.

The plane failed preflight inspection, so we sat there for 90 mins while they tried to fix it. Ultimately, everything was remedied and we made our connecting flight; instead of a 2 hour layover at the airport, we spent it waiting on the plane.

The only issues had were outside of Frontier’s control or weren’t expected. It was a two hour flight they completed fast. We landed almost an hour ahead of schedule. The issues with no entertainment or food weren’t issues since there was no expectations. The issue of the loud or crying babies was outside of frontiers control.
