To go to Australia, Denver TSA waived the removal of shoes, skipped the scan for the metal detector and no one touched me, ditto for LAX on the trip to Sydney. Where's the uniformity or standards for TSA?? Why did I have to be subjected to this garbage on the way home?? This is why I despise flying. It makes no sense to me. This ruined what was a great vacation."

NO WHERE in our email did it say there was this rule nor were we prompted or told to check-in prior to our flight online. There's no suncountry app for check-in that we could find (only a visa one). We booked through priceline.The flight hadn't even started boarding and we were not allowed to check-in. We were re-booked on a flight that left two hours later, but that flight was delayed 3 hours. The whole thing essentially took one full night of paid hotel and fun in Vegas away costing us over $200 just in hotel plus we spent an extra 5 hours in an airport that didn't have a bar open past 9pm."

Cons: "Flight 103 was supposed to be at 1:30. Delayed at 10 or 11 am to 3:08. A little in the day to have a major delay putting us into Vegas right at rush hour with higher taxi pricing and headache. Once we were at the airport the delays continued. We didn't finish boarding the plane until after 330. And then had to sit on the tarmac while they tried to squeeze us in. Then landing you could tell we were circling airport while they tried to find a spot for us to land, either that or it was a bad route because it involved a lot of sharp turns. We landed almost two hours late, which for a 48 hour Vegas trip is harsh. All we got in return was an apology. Usually other airlines will at least give you the full can of pop or something minor to off set the bigger inconvience."

I learned in Las Vegas after claiming injury checking my bag that they do have an arrangement, and that agent just didn't know about it. Kayak should never have allowed me to book a ticket where I had to re-check my bag and go through security again without a big warning, so I'm unhappy about that. Additionally, it seems like Sun Country needs to get his ducks in order regarding baggage agreements. The change in Las Vegas was stressful and involved switching terminals as well – not ideal."

No explanation whatsoever was given about what was going on. The aisles on the plane were so narrow that I could just barely roll my carry-on bag down it. The head of the guy sitting in front of me was almost in my lap. I couldn't even lower my tray table all the way down to a flat position to set my beverage upon because his seat was so close to mine. When the flight was almost to its destination, we had to circle the airport for awhile because Obama was landing at this time too. We were never told of this possibility until it actually happened. Why not ? We arrived about an hour and a half later than our scheduled time. With all these inconveniences to us, absolutely nothing complimentary was given to us passengers to make up for their incompetence and how our travel plans may have been disrupted. This was a bad experience and my last with Sun Country."

Another passenger opened an empty one and the crew came over and closed it right away, though many people were still boarding. What's going on?"

Cons: "Spirit had many cancelled flights while I was in Las Vegas. Mine was one. They said it was weather related and therefore couldn't accommodate hotels. Well, every other airline was able to get out. I think there was a staffing issue and management didn't want to actually provide decent service to their customers. I was stuck I. The airport over night with a 3 month old. It was awful. Then my next flight, a sink broke and was spewing water all down the aisle so we had to delay the flight and we're deplaned. Not impressed and won't fly with them again. After all said and done, I don't think it saved me any money."

Pros: "I disliked everything except how helpful the staff was when I almost puked because of the extreme discomfort of the seats."
Cons: "Being in that seat for 3.5 hours was the worst thing I have ever experienced on an airplane. I think I pinched the Vagus nerve in my abdomen and almost passed out on the airplane. I somehow was able to tell my wife that I needed help, she asked for water, they told me it would be $3 and I told them that I needed to go to the bathroom fast because I was very ill. Made it to the flight attendant's seat by the bathroom and sat there for a minute, then was able to open the bathroom door. Sat on the floor of the bathroom for about 5 minutes and was 100% better. Didn't even need to vomit because my circulation seemed to normalize after getting out of that horrible seat. Imagine - sitting on the floor in the tiny bathroom was more comfortable and actually cured me. They get one star out of 10 from my because they gave me free water. Otherwise it would be zero."

Cons: "My Friday 2:31 flight was cancelled. The soonest they could get me to Vegas was 12:49 on Saturday. A short weekend away just turned into a shorter weekend. Spirit would not refund for Hotel or Show tickets that I was unable to attend due to their flight cancellation. Nor would they refund me for the $9 long term parking bill I accrued for standing in their cancellation line for 2 1/2 hours on a Friday afternoon."

The woman seated next to us was allowed to board very intoxicated and ended up pooping her pants and we had to sit next to her for the entire flight. Unfriendly staff. No smiles, chomping gum, reading safety tips with no eye contact. Expensive non-alcoholic drinks"

Cons: "Significant delays on both outbound & return flights. They actually boarded an entire plane without pilots in Las Vegas and we waited for at least 40 minutes past scheduled departure. I was put off by their customer service throughout the experience and will not be flying with them ever again, regardless of price."

Cons: "Our flight was cancelled not once but twice due to a blizzard without another flight being offered until 2-3 days later! We had no choice but to cancel our entire trip. I understand the cancellations were unavoidable but It would have been nice if they would have added a couple flights the next morning to compensate for the flights that were cancelled. Other flights flying out of the same airport were still leaving not sure why ours were cancelled. Because of that I won't be flying Spirit airlines again."

The water in the plane was $3. The peanuts cost extra. The worst flying experience in my life."
Pros: "I was very skeptical and concerned that I would "get what you pay for" with Spirit, given some recently publicity about customer satisfaction, but I found it equal to, if not better than, all my other flights with Delta. It helps to go in knowing a few things (like always book your bags with you initial flight booking), but both our flights were on time (or early), no lost luggage and nothing to complain about. I will definitely be flying Spirit again."

($50 each way for a carry-on or checked bag....that's $50 PER bag, and it needs to be under 40 lbs.) - Charging even more extra if you pay for those extra luggage pieces at the airport instead of online ahead of time. - Charging for water or snacks on the plane. - The horrible casino advertisements inside the plane itself, under the overhead bins. - The flight attendant soliciting a Spirit credit card as we're descending to our destination, and going SEAT TO SEAT asking if we want one. - The mobile website that DOESN'T EXIST."

Cons: "Seats much too small for grown-ups. They didn't honor my pre-paid suitcase fee. Nowhere did they warn us the suitcase weight limit was 40 lbs instead of the standard 50 lbs. All in all a fairly unpleasant experience. More information about the add-on fees might help with their customer service. The delays (waiting for flight crew for a different airplane) probably could have been avoided."

Also, everything about the process just felt lazy. I'll never fly Spirit again. I'd rather pay for a more expensive ticket than be Nickel and dimed to death."
