"Horrible & 3 hr late"
"Very uncomfortable seats in business class, delayed flight for unknown reason"
"Delayed over an hour."
Cons: "I’m expected to be an hour early, and then your 3 hours late? Get it together JetBlue."
Pros: "The crew was so sweet."
Cons: "There were no updates on which group was boarding. So everyone just jumped in a line and had to figure it out."
Pros: "They did whatever they could to expedite the trip. friendly crew members"
Cons: "No ear buds or food"
Cons: "The 2.5 hour flight from MIA to NYC was delayed four hours. The gate was changed about four times and the plane that finally arrived was older and had zero outlets. We were not given the option of headphones. Mainly the flights delay was the absolute worst. In 2021 a flight from NYC to MIA is basically a commuter flight and both ways my flights were delayed such incredible amounts of time."
Pros: "Terrible flight."
Cons: "Wifi. Outlets."
Cons: "Ground crew were antagonistic and need sensitivity training. After the year we’ve been through they need to “ just be kind”. They were unpleasant and onboard crew not much better and demanding with passengers when people tried to stow their luggage. As a teacher of young students we’ve all focused on empathy and Jet Blue could do the same with their passengers."
Pros: "Nothing stood out."
Cons: "I found the ground staff and flight attendants to be REALLY passive aggressive. I have been making this trip regularly and had not flown Jet Blue in a while, I thought I would give it a try… Not again, I’m going back to Delta who just seem a more friendly crew who go out their way to thank the customers and are grateful for a person choosing their airline."
Cons: "My mom was supposed to take a JetBlue flight on 06/10/21 at 11:00pm. They called us, saying that the fight was delayed 4 hours. Meaning that she wasn’t going to make it to her next flight to Boston. We ended up changing the whole trip for the next day on Friday. When my mom got the la aurora airport no one told her that the flight was delayed again. But I could see it in my app. The flight ended up being late again and my mom missed her flight to Boston; and they wanted her to wait for more than 10 hours at the airport. And this is just now, my self and my mom had horrible experience with JetBlue before too. It is always one thing after the other, very sad!!"
Pros: "The crew was very hospitable."
Pros: "The crew was very pleasant and hospitable."
Cons: "Boarding the flight seemed a little chaotic. From walking outside in the sweltering hot sun carrying our bags to the enclosed ramp leading up to the plane- it wasn’t fun at all!"
Pros: "Crew, food, plane itself"
Cons: "Flight delayed by 3+ hours, very little info given to passengers, slow boarding"
Cons: "Having the aircraft type we originally booked rather than a smaller one."
Cons: "Serve hot sandwiches."
Pros: "The extra leg room"
Cons: "The seat could have been comfier."
Pros: "It landed in one piece"
Cons: "No promised wifi. Flight delayed without any updates on monitors."
Pros: "The crew members were to patience with everyone and making sure everyone have a comfortable flight."
Cons: "Wish whatsapp calls worked"
Cons: "No movies translated to spanish. Too crowded. Did not follow distancing while que exiting."
Cons: "Very satisfied"
Cons: "Gate was changed without communication. Better communication"
Cons: "Flight ended up being nearly 3hrs delayed. And there was little to no communication on the status of the flight while we were waiting."
Pros: "Seats have good legroom"
Cons: "I was discriminated against for having a service dog without all the records and forced to stuff a 5 month old puppy in a tiny carrier or be cancelled off the flight. I guess pro is they let me on but is this really necessary in these times? She didn’t let out a peep even though she was in the equivalent of a large man in a small seat. I’m never flying JetBlue again. Thanks but everyone else can use my travel money."
Cons: "It was announced that there would be an in-flight movie, and it started playing but then turned off. Also the audio jack on my seat didn't really work."
Pros: "With the Covid-19 precaution in place, I felt really safe on the flight. Masks were required at all times; the crew did a great job with handing out safe snack and waters. JetBlue did a great job."
Pros: "New airplane"
Cons: "Online chk in , was not easy ."
Pros: "My flight was full of funny kids so I did enjoy everything of it"
Cons: "The snacks we need more snacks!!"
Pros: "The great services as always"
Cons: "Well this time I didn't get my DD coffee as always but was a nice flights even with the bad weather in NY"
Cons: "Maybe Food? I don't say during the COVID19"
Pros: "The plane hit heavy turbulence a few times and gave me hope that the sweet succor of death would come."
Cons: "Having someone else give me a lap dance nonconsensually."
Pros: "Pilot was great as were the crew members. Food was fine."
Cons: "Earbud Jack was broken on my seat and the screen in my husband’s seat didn’t work. It was a turbulent flight and it would have been good to have the distraction of the entertainment."
Pros: "Not much other than an easy boarding."
Cons: "I want to complain about my experience on your Flight #1206 from PDX to JFX the plane is severely outdated. It doesn’t even look like a JetBlue plane. My tv doesn’t work as did a few others on board. We were told by the steward they were already reset and they just don’t work. That’s really unacceptable and a-shame. I could of flown whatever airline if I wanted to be uncomfortable for a 5 hour flight. I’m very disappointed with this. I have tried to go through your website to voice the issue but conveniently it doesn’t process after I fill out the required information. Your Twitter help team offered me $15 credit for my inconvenience wow what a way to help a customer what’s that not even a checked bag on one of your flights. What a joke. Very unhappy and I fly JetBlue often. Sad."
Cons: "My first flight was delayed an hour due to pilot error (we left the gate on time, but sat on the tarmac for an hour). This caused me to miss my connecting flight, which stranded me at JFK because they only had one flight per day to my destination. JetBlue's customer service told me I could not reach my destination until the next day, which was unacceptable (I had a morning interview). In fact, the only thing they said they could do was *PARTIALLY* refund my ticket, even though they stranded me in a completely different city. They also said I would "be able to" book a new flight with a different carrier, which cost roughly $400, using my own money. In the end, I spent about an hour talking with customer service until they were "nice enough" to do a partial refund with an additional credit equaling the remainder of my $400 ticket to fly with them in the future. It was still a very poor interaction with customer service."
Pros: "We got in ahead of schedule."
Cons: "The staff seemed tired and overworked. I got hit in the head by a flight attendant with the snack tray. An accident but still. Once we landed and we’re at the gate it took almost 40 min to get off the plane. That was ridiculous. Then after the long walk to baggage, luggage was still not there. Again we waited. Too much waiting after a long flight. I fly to NYC all the time and I’m usually in the city one hour after I land and it took 2 hours 15 min to get to Queens. Usually I have great flights with JetBlue. Last night was not the case. You get a C."
Pros: "Wasn’t much to like"
Cons: "Seat was uncomfortable, my monitor was inoperable the entire flight, way too hard on breaks during landing."
Pros: "Entertainment was great! Great selection of movies!"
Cons: "The earbuds are terrible, I personally don't do well with that style - i would do research to see what the most universal type head phones are used because these were the worst. Also the control to my entertainment was on the right side, where the middle person kept changing my channels and volume. I would have liked for it to be on maybe the left side where no one else could touch it. (I sat at a window seat) The guy next to me fell asleep and so it was super hard to get to my controller (although there is one on the computer, he was still messing with it with his elbow)."
Pros: "The on board crew was so accommodating. There was a screaming baby on board and one of the stewardesses did her best to make the baby stop crying. But Jose was the staff member that was closest to my seat and he was amazing! Funny, pleasant, great customer service! He made the difference in what could have been the plane ride from hell. Thank you Jose!!"
Cons: "When I booked my trip, I picked out seats but when I checked in, there was no seat on my boarding pass. So when I went to the gate they had my name on the top of the list and gave me a new boarding pass with a seat. When I got to that seat, someone was already sitting in that seat and when I looked at the boarding pass, it wasn't even my name that was on it. The stewardess found me another seat in row 24. Then when the tv did not work the whole flight. On top of that there was a screaming child most of the flight, which of course I saw not the fault of anyone. Needless to say I'm happy to be home"
Pros: "Ek 202"
Cons: "The flight was cancelled 4hrs after being boarded at JFK. We understand that such things happen. It’s the situation and handling after was very unprofessional. we were told to collect our bags and go to check in counter and collect our next bookings but instead after collecting check ins we were just given meal ticket and hotel address and given a toll free number to call which is very inappropriate. It should become your responsibility to rebook ya but not leaving it on us to call some number and wait. Though I called and I was told that I was not deboarded to rebook me. For which I tried to go and find an Emirates personnel who refused to talk to the Emirates guy on phone to explain and would just refuse to talk to me. Imagine yourself carrying two check ins and a carry one and running around just to try to get somebody to answer. Mr. Munit on phone was kind enough to be on talk and hold for about 40mins with me. It still ended up unable to book at that time. I was going to India for two day period and my one day had to be spent over in JFK. As humans it’s not the technical difficulty that was an issues it’s the Emirates crews at jfk inability to properly respond and answer arrogantly was the issue. One person instead of answering the questions of an old man was very rude and just blubbered “can’t you just listen to me” that was very inappropriate. It should be her responsibility to listen first. I have always flew Emirates and inflight crew are always very patient and good. This experience makes me think otherwise."
Pros: "The second flight attendant approached was helpful."
Cons: "Upon boarding an odor of vomit was obvious. An attendant announced that a previous passenger had been sick in the row and there was no time to adequately clean it. There was only one food option available for purchase. Neither the overhead reading light or entertainment system at my seat worked. The first attendant I approached told me she could find me a seat in the back of the plane. I declined as I reserved a seat in the front of the plane in order to deplane and go through customs swiftly. I was then offered a seat directly behind the row where the passenger had vomited. Eventually, a different attendant placed me in a seat nearer the front of the place where both the light and entertainment system worked."
Pros: "Crew and captain were excellent! Wonderful!"
Cons: "An earlier flight was cancelled and people rescheduled to my flight. When I got to my seat, someone was sitting in it, and he had received a seat belt adjuster. He asked me whether he could remain in my seat given his discomfort in the seat to which he was reassigned, which was a middle seat. I could have said no, but it was clear that it made most sense for me to sit in the middle seat (the window seat was already taken and it would have been a tight fit otherwise). Though I appreciate that the folks affected by the flight cancellation were accommodated on my flight, I hope in future the seat reassignments can also be taken into account. Also, I think slightly healthier food would be nice (chips vs cookies). Thanks."
Pros: "The flight was smooth and uneventful. The landing was expertly executed. No safety issues. The cabin was comfortable and quiet."
Cons: "Fat snacks The $25 charge for checking one piece of luggage. The rudeness at the airport when I asked for directions. I don't fly everyday, so why would you expect me to know where everything is and exactly how your process works? The emotional exchange at the airport when I checked my bag. I was the only person in line and there were two JB employees behind the counter who were more interested in their social conversation than in assisting me. I made a simple request for assistance and was immediately blown off. I can't complain enough about this."
Pros: "Leg room because I sat next to the emergency exit"
Cons: "Everything except leg room. First, your team never offered beverages. When I asked them about it, they said that they didn't want to wake anyone ... really? Like the whole plane? It's a red eye flight ... I'm sure most would take at least a water. Meanwhile First Class was served every two minutes for everything they wanted ... and us folks that make up the rest of the plane ... we don't count? So, everyone basically went to the fridge to get drinks. Water wasn't even offered ... huh? Also, your seats were ridiculously crammed ... extremely uncomfortable. Other than that, I'm glad we made it to New York."
Pros: "The one thing I liked was the expedited service I got because my brother needed a wheelchair. The comfort of the plane was really nice as well, one of the best flights I had in a while."
Cons: "What I didn’t like was how my flight got cancelled and the only flight I was able to get was 4 days later. So I was stuck in the Dominican Republic for a total of two weeks!! I had to miss another weekend at work which made me lose a lot of money since I’m a barber and lost some one my clientele. On top of my flight being cancelled it also got delayed again but only by 30 minutes so I wasn’t so upset. When it came to the boarding, that had to be the slowest boarding I’ve went through. The gate seemed very behind on the technology and that caused the workers to work even slower. At times they had to step away and go on their monitor to fix something out so it took an extra 30 minutes before I even got into my seat, and I was sitting in row 6 of the plane. Then after everyone was seated the flight got held back an extra half hour because a lady wanted to file a complaint saying that she got pushed and ended up being the only person that got kicked off the flight so she did it all for nothing. So with everything happening, our flight got delayed an hour and a half. Very disappointed.."
Cons: "I waited three days for a flight to Portland, Maine. My first flight was cancelled due to weather. The next two days the same flight was cancelled again. When it did go, it was three hours late. Our flight ended up leaving at 3:00am. This is all excusable due to weather but I also lost my premium sat. The only seats available were the middle seats. I had booked early and had a great fee-free seat. I had to pay $75 to get a window seat. On the 1st leg of the trip they were 3 hours late coming out of Portland. I'm not flying JetBlue anymore. There are cheaper flights that fly during the day."
Pros: "The crew was very courteous & helpful. Huge bonus."
Cons: "The check in process at the airport was horrendous. I would never fly Sun Country again except the crew was so good."
Pros: "Crew, seats, experience;?all were wonderful!"
Cons: "More flights to/from Portland"
Pros: "Over crowded. Scaled down the aisle to add extra seats. I weigh 100lbs. and am 5'2". My knees were crammed into seat in front of me. No beverage or food service and no discount for that."
Cons: "More worried about carry on luggage than customer experience."
Cons: "The flight was pretty full, there were very few vacant seats and there was not enough space for social distancing. Also, quite a few of the hand sanitizer machines were empty at the MSP and MCO terminals."
Pros: "The star wars movie"
Cons: "getting drunk"
Cons: "The flight was full. Expected some level of social distancing."
Pros: "very well trained / polite and friendly employees, i was impressed"
Cons: "no snacks wtf i'm starvin here"
Pros: "The plane took off, flew and landed safely."
Cons: "When I bought my ticket, I didn't realize I would have to pay $35 to put a bag in the overhead compartment and $35 to check a bag; only a personal item under the seat in front of me was free (came with the ticket price). This resulted in the ticket being at least $70 more expensive than I anticipated. Probably could have gotten a cheaper flight overall. Also, the plane was 2 hours and 45 minutes late in taking odf, resulting in landing 1:00 am. I picked my flight time deliberately to avoid flying after about 11:30 pm. With the lateness of the flight, I probably could again have gotten a cheaper flight that was scheduled to land in the wee hours of the morning. Finally, the complimentary food was non-existent - didn't even get a cookie or small bag of pretzels. Did get a free drink and water."
Pros: "One helpful person at baggage check."
Cons: "We arrived early at recommended time. The line was so long that by the time our family of 6 reached the front, they had put us on standby for 8 hours later, then that flight was delayed. SunCountry owes me not only what I paid for tickets, but also for my PTO used, my spouse’s PTO and the expenses incurred which include food and the UBer because the car rental will be closed by the time we arrive. This may include the extra expense now of a hotel night at our destination. I could not be more disgusted."
Pros: "Head cushion on seat"
Cons: "Customer service needs to be worked on. From ticketing to flight attendants. Poor service"
Pros: "Nothing I don’t think I’ll fly sun country again"
Cons: "Provide online check in at no cost. The extra cost resulted in everyone checking in at counter that was miserably understaffed. It could have resulted in a missed flight except flight was delayed for 3 hours. Due to mechanical issues."
Cons: "More room!"
Cons: "They could upgrade like some of the other airlines and add entertainment of some kind to the flights"
Pros: "The crew was pleasent and brought me an OJ when I requested even though they had finished serving."
Cons: "There is ZERO leg room! I am not tall, I maybe had 2 inches to the seat in front us. The recline is a joke, not even 2 inches. Cannot reach bag under the seat due to no room!!"
Pros: "The staff were lovely."
Cons: "The $40 charge for carry on which I was unaware of until check in. I therefore felt forced to check my bag with a $25 fee. I was charged for 2 checked bag fees in my initial flight without my knowledge or consent."
Cons: "Flight was late leaving to MSP and on the return flight to San Francisco, we had to sit and wait 40+ mins just to get into the hanger. It was late and very disappointing!!! They don't serve any snacks and didn't come around with refreshments except once. They charge for carry on's, $40.00!! Huge rip off! They charge to rent DVD player. I will NOT fly with them again. Delta has all the above mentioned for free, they will be who I fly with from now on, they are MUCH more professional and customer service oriented and on time!."
Pros: "Easy check-in"
Cons: "None of the luggage for our flight was boarded onto the plane, despite a 30 min delay due to loading/unloading. We then did not receive our luggage until about 18 hours after landing and have still not received a baggage refund, voucher, or any compensation for the inconvenience of all of the passengers."
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "I paid for my ticket, but when I went to check in the day before my flight there were fees I had to pay that I was not aware of and had no choice but to do so. They do not offer and free carryon bag. If you pay online you have to pay an extra $30 for a carryon item or $20 for a checked bag. These fees apply to your destination and your flight home as well. On top of that, you have to pay for your seat. All in all I was not happy with my experience with sun country. I am normally not someone who writes poor reviews, but this was definitely the worst airline I’ve ever used."
Cons: "Bags take for.......ever to comeout, 20 mins is crazy compared to other airlines, alaska has your bags waiting for you when you get to the carousel. I guess We get what you pay for"
Pros: "Beginning of the fight was smooth but when we were descending the pilot did a little noise dive which was a clear blue sky and wasn’t necessary for the noise dive. And while descending he makes sharp turns left and right a few times, didn’t seem like he knew where he was going. I been on rough descents before but this pilot is not qualified."
Pros: "Service from MN to NY was great. Smooth, pleasant, efficient."
Cons: "Flight attendants from NY to MN weren’t the most pleasant to other passengers. Rude and short tempered."
Cons: "I typically fly Delta but thought I would give Sun Country a try and I am so sorry I did. The Delta flight I almost booked was about the same price and offered free carry on luggage, snacks, and the customer service on Delta is always superb. On Sun Country, they didn’t communicate all the hidden fees like $60 for carry on luggage if you book in advance and $90 at the gate. They also didn’t communicate their airline policies (i.e. they won’t print your boarding pass unless it’s more than 45 minutes before your boarding time, even at a small airport where takes $10 minutes to get through security). The flight attendants also were clearly unhappy working for the airline and that showed in their level of customer service."
Pros: "Plane was comfortable and modern. Crew was terrific."
Cons: "I could not use my phone app to check in! The airline attempts to charge you to $20 per person for online check in if you want to pay for baggage on line. You can, but then additional fee for seat selection is charged. STUPID! Instead, they must keep more counter agents for people like me who refuse to pay more for a seat I booked. Why can't you be like United. Let me check in and select my already paid for seat online and pay for my bag ahead of time! Then all I have to do is get my baggage checked at a kiosk and drop it off with a baggage agentband go through TSA and to my gate. Keep it simple stupid Suncountry."
Pros: "The crew were nice and professional and efficient"
Cons: "We had to deplane and switch to another aircraft after boarding was complete the first time. We arrived almost two hours late, in the middle of the night, I was really hungry by then. Some complimentary snacks or something would have gone a long way to making it up to us. I had screaming children behind me and I know that's not entirely the airline's fault, butthe delay contributed significantly to the children's misery and thus ours, and the in-flight announcements were way too loud; they woke them up abruptly and started tantrums in several places throughout the cabin."
Pros: "The flight crew was pleasant. The refreshments were great along with the carry on bags and seat selection when buying tickets."
Cons: "The plane was to hot. There were lots of passengers complaing about the heat. We also had to wait on the runway to take off for 40 minutes. The course of the flight was also uncomfortable due to certain passengers that wouldn't cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing. I even offered the individual cough drops and they had denied them and continued hacking. Then when landing in Orlando we had to wait to be taken to our gate. We were told that we were supposed to go to gate 97 but there was an American Aircraft in that location so we had to wait for another gate for 20 minutes. I know those last 2 events aren't really under the control of Sun Country, but still it was a pain."
Pros: "I was able to change my seat from a window to the aisle in the emergency exit row."
Cons: "No food without paying, although I know this is an airline no one."
Cons: "We ran into a combination of traffic, parking, and other issues that drove us to arrive at our check-in at 7pm for a 7:40pm flight. We were not able to check-in given the 45 min rule. NO WHERE in our email did it say there was this rule nor were we prompted or told to check-in prior to our flight online. There's no suncountry app for check-in that we could find (only a visa one). We booked through priceline. The flight hadn't even started boarding and we were not allowed to check-in. We were re-booked on a flight that left two hours later, but that flight was delayed 3 hours. The whole thing essentially took one full night of paid hotel and fun in Vegas away costing us over $200 just in hotel plus we spent an extra 5 hours in an airport that didn't have a bar open past 9pm."
Pros: "NON-STOP !!!!!!!!!"
Pros: "The people at check-in were most helpful ensuring I made my flight since I was late to check-in"
Cons: "I wish my ticket had said I was landing in South Terminal in Austin; however, it's a newer terminal."
Cons: "It would be better to have more food choices - especially for flights which depart late in the evening."
Cons: "Not sure who's problem it was was Baggage missed connection in JFK, see next flight review for details."
Pros: "The headrest were nice, no neck pillow was needed because of how I could adjust it. Checking in was very quick and painless, something I appreciate very much. Drink service was nice, they did come around more then expected. The staff was very nice an accommodating , very friendly when we boarded the plane."
Cons: "Seats were very uncomfortable. I brought my husband for his first flight and I had told him how comfortable flying was, but when we boarded the plane he was a little horrified about the seats. He said, "they look like metal skeletons with pleather stretched over them." Yikes, I was a little embarrassed for telling him how comfortable he would be. I usually fly coach and I guess I was surprised not to find better seats and screens for movies attached to the back of the headrest (that sounds terribly spoiled, sorry)."
Cons: "No comp food. No free entertainment. Over an hour late. But we boarded early then sat and waited due to crew member not being aware of schedule."
Pros: "The boarding method went the quickest of all flights I've been on for both flights. Check-in in MSP was quick and some of the attendants were friendly based on what I overheard. Staff in SAN was friendly."
Cons: "A new mom was in the aisle walking to keep her baby quiet and to stretch her legs (after the drink, snack, and trash carts had gone by) and had her back to a flight attendant also coming down the aisle. She was talking to another parent on the flight when the attendant came behind her and told the woman, "Excuse me. Some of us are still working." Her tone was suuuuper rude and uncalled for. A friendly "excuse me, please" would have been just fine and would have gotten the job done. I went to the bathroom a couple minutes later and the attendant was on her break and eating, so maybe she was hangry, but still! Seats were uncomfortable on both flights, but not as bad as Spirit Airlines. I had bad low back pain afterwards, even after getting up to walk partway through the flight. This is something I've experienced on a couple other airlines too, but the legroom on planes has gotten worse. For those of us with long legs, it's a huge pain. I'm 5'9", so I can't imagine how it is for someone taller. The legroom on Sun Country was just as bad as other flights. Probably a strange complaint, but the seat back pocket had a bar running in the hem, so when I put my water bottle inside, the entire pocket stuck out as far as my water bottle. This meant I had to choose between having the pocket rub against my knees or hold my water bottle between my thighs. Neither were ideal. The check-in in San Diego was painfully slow. There were three people standing there, but only one person seemed to be checking people in. The staff was friendly here. A Sun Country employee at MSP told a man he had to check his carry-on suitcase because the wheels stuck out of Sun Country's tiny metal carry-on test box a CENTIMETER. I kid you not. Absolutely ridiculous. I saw much larger luggage come onto the flight. The woman who checked me in was quick but I wasn't able to ask any questions before being sent away. No free snacks or entertainment which seem to be included on most other similarly priced airlines. The food for purchase (burgers and Jimmy Johns or something) made the plane smell bad. I asked for coffee with cream and sugar as my complimentary drink and was given the powdered creamer packets. Fine, okay, I understand if that's all they have, but then I saw them walking through the aisle later offering coffee and they had creamer cups in their aprons! No one asked me which kind I wanted. :("
Pros: "I was running late and they accommodated to me. I didn't get food or use the entertainment on the flight so that is why they are ones."
Cons: "I did not like that I flew over 6 hours to California with no entertainment . None of their planes have wifi and no tvs. The chairs were also uncomfortable ."
Cons: "Arrived at check in at 6:00 for a 6:40 flight, was told it was too late to check in and board so I did not get on the flight! There was no other Sun Country flight until the next day and there was no attempt made to accommodate the fact that I had to get back to D.C that night.... and I was not offered any partial credit for the ticket! I realize I should've arrived much earlier but I did try to check in online prior to arriving at the airport however their online check in process only gave me the option of paying an additional $15 fee to choose my seat, which I did not think I should have had to since I'd already paid for the flight and didn't care where I sat. I ended up buying a one way FULL PRICE ticket on another airline and it took less than 5 minutes to go through security and arrive at the gate by 6:25"
Pros: "It was a direct flight."
Cons: "We were late departing and arriving, which created a problem for a meeting I had to attend. On top of already being late the exiting of the aircraft was poor. No announcement was made for wheel chair people to wait until the end, and naturally held up the exiting of the aircraft. This was my first experience on Sun Country and the flight attendants allowed people to use the bathroom in the front of the aircraft, but at hour 3.00 when i walked up to use it - i was then told to go to the back. After I watched many people for HOURS freely use it. Not just when the cart was in the aisle either. Just not consistent in their directions and follow through making it confusing for passengers. There was no wifi, so I couldn't work and there was no entertainment on board. I won't be flying Sun country again."
Pros: "Our flight on suncountry was great, the only problem was that the seats on suncountry are so close together, no legroom at all."
Pros: "I liked how the seats had adjustable headrests that actually made it possible to nap."
Cons: "Too many unsupervised children running around when the seatbelt light was off!"
Cons: "My flight to Minneapolis was delayed, which caused me to miss my flight from Minneapolis to Boston. Sun Country lied and said that my flight would wait for me, and there were no other flights going to Boston until the next day, resulting in a 10 hour delay. They then did not compensate me for my hotel stay and transportation, which I had to cover myself."
Pros: "Crew is polite, boarding is prompt, seats are comfortable, better leg room, Cambria magazine was interesting, affordable"
Cons: "Please add wifi"
Pros: "The crew was great--very pleasant and attentive. Flight was smooth with an easy landing."
Cons: "At the Sun Country desk in Minneapolis they told me they couldn't check my bag all the way through to San Francisco because they didn't have an arrangement with Virgin America. I learned in Las Vegas after claiming injury checking my bag that they do have an arrangement, and that agent just didn't know about it. Kayak should never have allowed me to book a ticket where I had to re-check my bag and go through security again without a big warning, so I'm unhappy about that. Additionally, it seems like Sun Country needs to get his ducks in order regarding baggage agreements. The change in Las Vegas was stressful and involved switching terminals as well – not ideal."
Pros: "I still can't believe this, they beg you to check in your luggage then they lose it!!! Never again."
Cons: "Everything was good but don't check in your carry on"
Pros: "Being able to board first because I am retired military and had no carry on baggage."
Cons: "My work trip was canceled and I was told by a Canadian flight network agency that it was a non refundable flight but I could change it for $100. I booked via kayak but somehow was routed to this agency in Canada and it was extremely difficult to understand the staff member. What I could understand is it is a waste of $ and I won't be booking again."
Cons: "Couldn't check-in online due to unknown "server error". The guy at the airport said they had a system failure the previous night - no info on the site though, so we've lost 45 minutes retrying check in online. The plane itself was definetely not renovated for quite some time (the interior). Not too comfy seats, but had worse. Boarding was a bit unusual - they're splitting the passengeres to maaaaaany groups - military, no carry-on luggage, disabled, with kids, with carry on to put under the plane, first class and finally the regulars... Not sure if that actually speeds up the process, seems officious.. Plane was 30min late at destination."
Pros: "The Security at both Logan and Minn. where first class. Suncountry had its own section which allowed for a quick and efficient security process. The food options, though paid for, are reasonable in price and much greater in variety. I do wish they had some free snack options."
Cons: "No entertainment, well they had hand held devices you could rent but that was not ideal. The room in the seats was the worst in the industry. I am 6' tall and I could barely fit my legs under the seat in front of me with a small bag there. For the price it is well worth it and I would do it again for a short flight but nothing of length."
Pros: "I thought the flight attendants (a gentleman in first class, also a woman for the first part) were perfectly lovely. I always feel a little silly asking for things, but I never felt like I was a burden. The gentleman was very pleasant and thoughtful (he was reluctant to wake my husband to put his seatback up before landing), and the food was surprisingly good."
Cons: "Right above my seat in 1A, the luggage bin above me was coming apart at the seam, and something gunky seemed to be coming out of it. There was some dampness on the wall in front of me. Also, the part my husband and I both lamented was the fact that being in the first row, we couldn't have bags at our feet for landing. Which we COMPLETELY understand and are happy to comply with. However, the luggage bin directly above us should have been empty and available for us to use. That was not the case, since the flight attendants used those two bins above the FIRST two rows, on BOTH sides of the aisle for their luggage. We had to put our bags above the third row, so that upon departure, we had to excuse ourselves through people standing in the aisle and hand our luggage back up to the front. It's annoying to us and annoying to people in the 2nd and 3rd rows to have us jostling past. The flight attendants should have a special closet just for them, not taking up valuable real estate for guests' luggage. OR, the flight attendants should use the back of the First Class luggage compartments, since they will be deplaning after us anyway. Just a thought. Please consider. Thank you! Sincerely, Emily Grosso"
Cons: "The flight attendants were sitting in the back forever and would not serve the cabin. Then they took forever once they started. It was like they were on so motion. Someone even tried to get a drink after waiting so long and they were shunned away..."
Pros: "Gate agent was great"
Cons: "They didn’t have a pilot assigned to our flight. Had to wait 3 hours for a pilot to arrive. 😞. Thank goodness I wasn’t in a hurry to get to my destination."
Pros: "Everything was great. Fast flight"
Pros: "Hard product in first was good for domestic first"
Cons: "Crew wasn’t terribly friendly. Nothing to drink until 30+ minutes into flight. Allowed crash pax to use first class lav. I pay more so I don’t have to share with so many ppl. Lav was gross 1.5 hrs I to flight."
Cons: "We should have boarded later if weather was not ok"
Pros: "The crew was clearly concerned with the covid rules, but just as concerned for passenger's needs. Outstanding performance in difficult circumstances."
Pros: "Despite the poor rating because of the mechanical issue, I will say the pilots did a fantastic job with some pretty choppy air conditions."
Cons: "Flight was delayed almost an hour while we were already on the plane. Minor mechanical issue that could’ve been handled at destination. The seat was super uncomfortable and I would’ve appreciated at least some more from the crew, like maybe even a bottle of water or something."
Pros: "Crew was very sweet!"
Cons: "Plane was much warmer than any flight I’ve been on - lots of people visibly sweating (don’t know if any others complained besides me). Seat was pretty uncomfortable (17D)"
Cons: "Missed connecting flight to El Paso and had to wait for hours in the airport on standby"
Pros: "Clean plane, courteous personnel, everything on time"
Cons: "Getting the food back would be nice."
Cons: "Great flight"
Pros: "I was lucky enough not to be put into a middle seat or next to a stranger during this pandemic."
Cons: "No social distancing and no enforcement of wearing a mask properly. Wearing one on your chin or half of your mouth with your nose hanging out needs to be corrected. Empty seats should be utilized for social distancing regardless of fare. First class and the back half of the planes were practically empty while everyone was in the center. We should have been allowed to spread out."
Cons: "Not delayed"
Pros: "Special assistance readily available"
Cons: "The weather"
Pros: "Flight crew were good."
Cons: "My checked baggage did not make it on this flight even though it was checked in over an hour before the flight. I have been getting the runaround at the Baggage Claim area and on the phone. It may be delivered tomorrow afternoon and I have food items in the baggage and it may not be delivered until the afternoon of the next day. They don’t have a good baggage tracking system."
Cons: "Delayed flight. Seat didn't recline."
Pros: "A bit more legroom than united airlines. Tvs were a plus. The service was excellent and they give you a full can of soda instead of just a dram."
Cons: "Nothing really it was a great value for the price."
Cons: "The flight was delayed."
Pros: "The crew were nice people."
Cons: "There was no air conditioning and we were re-routed all the way down to Kentucky on the way back!"
Cons: "Landing, temperature, passengers"
Cons: "The crew could have been more polite."
Pros: "I arrived safely at my destination"
Cons: "Flight was turbulent, plane was messy, crew had a hard time noticing when passengers needed anything."
Cons: "The flight attendant that helped passengers in the main cabin was rude, lacked empathy, and lacked resourcefulness. She argued about throwing away a drink that she poured, didn’t care to explain things to passengers when asked i. e. why charging outlets were not in service, and her tone was rude ..."
Pros: "The attendant for my area was amazing. I was in the back of the plane and he was friendly. He helped me look for my power cord. He is an outstanding member of your team!"
Cons: "Nope, this was a great flight!"
Pros: "Boarding process was easy."
Cons: "Different snack options."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled, some staff I dealt with to rebook had some attitude issues, others where fine. Overall not very transparent throughout the process. Definitely could've been much more helpful."
Pros: "Equipment was adequate. I liked the on board emergency instructions!"
Cons: "Boarding was chaotic—no lines, just a mass of people all trying to get to the same place. The crew did their job but weren’t particularly friendly."
Cons: "Didn’t know basic economy has 1 personal item and 1 hand carry and I was told my the staff to pay for baggage my bag was canon soxe btw"
Cons: "They lost my luggage. They did not allow me to take her whit me in the plane because i did not fit a suitcase that always travel on top because is small suitcase terrible I will never travel again with amercan airlines"
Pros: "Everyone was super friendly. The plane was clean and comfortable and the food was great for airplane food."
Pros: "Called 1-800 hotline and got a new flight"
Cons: "Was at gate onntime for flight. At boarding time passengers were informed if there was an issue with the plane and maintenance is on their way to check out the problem. 30 minutes later we were still till that maintenance is on their way. One hour later there is still no information as far as when the fight will leave but they kept updating the boarding time. There was only one person of the counter who could help re-assign passengers to different flights due to their layovers. After waiting in line for 40 minutes and the line making no movement I called the airline 1-800 hundred number and explain my situation to the American Airlines Airlines representative. they really give me a new flight that left 20 minutes later after my call if I did not call I would not mean it that flight nor any other fights that morning because they're all in the afternoon."
Pros: "Boarding staff helped me change to a seat that was suited better for my child and I- I was SO grateful. During the flight, flight staff made sure my child was happy/comfortable which meant a lot to me."
Cons: "The normal things- better cushioned seats with some lumbar for those of us with back/nerve issues; a little wider seat options in economy for heavier people or those with lap infants; Honestly I’m reaching because I was just really happy with my flight/plane/crew service."
Cons: "Took off late from Minneapolis only to announce that there was something wrong with the plane, no explanation as to what but that we had to circle to burn off fuel before returning to Minneapolis. Switched to a flight to D.C. with a connection to get to LGA. As soon as we sat down on that flight an announcement was made that we wouldn't make our connecting flight. Got to D.C. and asked to switch to go into Westchester instead of LGA which we were denied. So changed to another connecting flight to LGA that didn't take off on time. Offered nothing for any of the inconveniences. Etc."
Pros: "The available movies and games in personal screen"
Cons: "Seat selection"
Cons: "When I arrived at the gate, the flight was on time, but no aircraft was at the gate. The gate attendants left at the time we were supposed to Board, then the departure time changed on the board and no announcement was made. Another gate attendant told me that the aircraft was at DYT, but the reason for delay was crew rest. As the delays continued, 3 in all, we were told that the aircraft was at DYT but we were waiting on a crew to be flown in from Charlotte. Not sure how AA messed up their crew rest schedule on domestic regional jet carrier. Either way, a new gate attendant arrived to take over, and continued to tell us we were waiting on crew. Then the story changed to waiting on aircraft and crew. By the time the 3rd change in departure had been made, and we were still waiting on aircraft and cre, AA failed to continue to update the departure and arrival times. Once we boarded around 9:00pm the boarding time still showed 8:10pm. Then we sat on the runway awaiting departure for approx 40 minutes before taking off. Very poor communication And customer service."
Pros: "The mobile updates were helpful and timely."
Cons: "The overhead space was smaller on this plane and as I learned on my trip to DTW my weekender carry-on would not fit with my shoes in it. Because of this, I pulled my shoes out and put them in a collapsible bag that fit under the seat in front of me along with my small personal bag as I had done on my previous flight. However, the gate agent would not allow me to board the plane and would not listen to my explainations at all as I tried to keep the boarding process moving along. She kept repeating "you have 3 bags" and made me steep out of line and check my carry-on (which I would then have to pick up at baggage claim). When I asked why I couldn't get out on the jetway like she had done for other passengers she said, " I only did that for airline employees" (quick happened to be a flight attendant from Spirit). My overall experience on both flights to and from Detroit was that the gate agents and flight attendants were the most unhelpful and rude airline employees I have delt with and I will stick to my preferred carrier, Delta, for my future flights back and forth to Detroit. They certainly make me feel like a valued customer when I fly them, which I did not feel with American."
Pros: "The amount of legroom is insane. Super comfortable flight, very nice staff."
Pros: "The crew was friendly and competent."
Cons: "Airlines have an industry wide problem. They INTENTIONALLY make every part of flying miserable so that passengers will pay anything to make it less painful. For example... if you want to make boarding quicker, build the cost of checked luggage into ticket prices so that you don't have people carrying everything on and clogging up the process. Or use the existing and publicly available research to improve boarding mechanisms... but that would mean you lose an opportunity to squeeze extra cash out of people for 'priority boarding'. This phenomenon is real, and currently be investigated by congress. Call your senator."
Cons: "I am missing two items that I had in my checked bag and my clothes and belongings were all messy as if it had been gone through. I am very upset that these items were likely taken by whoever went through my bag."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled we were re-routed and didn't get there until 24hours later."
Pros: "It was nice that I had a seat empty next to me, allowing for extra room. Flight was a little early in landing in Dallas, allowing for extra time for a short layover to find my terminal and gate for my next flight."
Cons: "All was good."
Pros: "The food, in flight entertainment and attention to detail by the Flight Attendants was very good."
Cons: "The personnel handling the front desk at check in gave myself and others bad information about how to check a bag. Which resulted in me being called to the desk at the gate about 30 minutes prior to boarding and being told I screwed up checking my bag when I was just following the instructions given to me. Was then told I had to leave the secure area of the airport, go back to the front to check my bag all within 30 minutes of boarding. when I returned thru the TSA checkpoint they were rude, obviously, but more importantly the flight was boarding early. So you could've 1. told me what the actual procedure is for checking my bag instead of telling me "just leave it by the green lit up check mark then 2. told me at the gate that not only do i need to go fix your mistakes for you but that youd also board my flight early thereby putting me in jeopardy of missing my flight. all i got was a very insincere apology when I complained up front and at the gate about the airline's screw up. i get that you're all human like me and make mistakes but the customer is always right. there was a time in this country when customer appreciation and service were important standards and qualities businesses thrived on. Don't know what happened to those days... Also i should not need to be a first class passenger to get a meal during a flight. whatever happened to meals for everyone? you (all airlines in the US) charge way too much money and provide poor service compared to pre-9-11 days. I dont see how one event can justify the loss in service but the increase in ticket price. you should all get back to what flying should be about: fun and time saving."
Cons: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."
Pros: "I was just happy to get a flight out early the next morning when my Thursday afternoon flight was cancelled."
Cons: "I ended up in a middle seat due to having to be rescheduled, but it was still comfortable."
Pros: "The staff tried to help as much as possible."
Cons: "I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."
Cons: "They didn't give my parents who are in their 80s seats together, that's not right."
Pros: "Very efficient boarding, comfortable coach seats, good crew"
Cons: "No food! except pretzels and sandwiches for purchase. I didn't purchase a sandwich but on the outbound flight, the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using on-board Wifi, as well as 2 TV shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."
Pros: "Nothing. Was a lot of waited, the people were mad rough."
Cons: "We had a cup of water and a cookie for a 3 hours flight. The captain put gas at the airport with us in the plane. we waited in the plane almost 3 hour because of a storm."
Cons: "The pilots did not show up for my flight after my other connecting flight was delayed and a previous fkight had been cancelled."
Cons: "Not updating flights at the airports or apps, our 3 flights that we tried to take to get us home were canceled I had to fly stand by ALL day Saturday, went through security three times, and have been standing at a ticket counter for ANOTHER DELAYED flight. I am disgusted and will NEVER fly American again and will let friends and family know to fly SOUTHWEST"
Pros: "Clean plane, organized crew"
Pros: "Crew was pretty cool. They were very nice and helpful. Seem happy"
Cons: "I had no complaints at all"
Pros: "United Airlines is putting customers and employees at risk. It is an insane and absurd as it is disgraceful. During boarding you will see painted arrows on the ground urging you to be "6 feet apart" from fellow travellers. You will then enter a the plane and be 6 inches apart as the plane will be FULL. Fly Delta where they block off middle seats and social distance. United CEO Scott Kirby does not care about customers or employees. The absurdity of the juxtaposition between the "6 feet" signs in the boarding area and the COMPLETE ABSENCE of distancing on board tells you everything you need to know about United."
Cons: "Practice social distancing on the plane. There's a pandemic. This is the NUMBER ONE thing you should be doing to assure safety of passengers and crew."
Pros: "I love how the crew was so nice"
Cons: "I personally don’t like flying so I was nervous when there was sudden turns"
Pros: "The crew was really good, made sure our needs were met."
Cons: "The seats were quite crammed."
Pros: "The crew were very nice and the seats were comfy."
Cons: "I would have liked a snack instead of just a beverage alone."
Pros: "Crew, not crowded flight and smooth. Nice"
Cons: "We were delayed for an hour sitting in the tarmac because of “VIP” which sucked"
Pros: "On time, plane in relatively good shape."
Cons: "The entertainment system is of low quality and kept freezing and needing reboot. It is almost impossible to hear the movie sounds. Somehow the food served was truly disgusting, like an horrible TV dinner. United always stands out on international flight for having the worst dinner served. Always take your own lunch with you! Finally it has been my consistent experience on United that the stewardesses are really unfriendly. They do their job just fine but do they look so miserable compared to other companies. Do the airline treat them real bad?"
Pros: "The flight crew was courteous and efficient."
Cons: "The boarding time lasted an hour as the front desk staff at the gate insisted that I needed a visa travel document for my connection in China (multiple leg journey). What they failed to realize is that nobody needs a visa for China if they’re connecting in transit. It took a phone call and 3 staff members to sort things out. Not something that I want to deal with at 5:00 am. Moreover, due to the de icing, the flight was late and i just made it to my connecting flight in Newark. It was quite a hair-raising experience overall."
Cons: "The legroom is non-existent. I sure wish airlines didn't try to put so many seats in each aircraft."
Pros: "The flight was overall good, there it was simple and i got what I paid for. First class would have been worth the upgrade Im 6'6" and i was good for legroom."
Cons: "They lost my bag. Very huge issue followed. Staff was very helpful in getting me on track with who and when to talk with people however!"
Pros: "Flight to Italy fine"
Cons: "Flight was a Lufthansa flight operated by United, sold by webjet...there is not a United counter in Malpensa. Train was delayed, we arrived an hour b4 Flight, would not let us board. United is offering FREE re ticketing but webjet is extorting 480.00 additional on top of the 641.00 ticket...6 calls to webjet..several hours of frustration. I have used kayak for years...I will research reviews on all future purchases thru this web sites associates. Kakak...webjet is creepy company...check their references...yuk!"
Pros: "The flight was short and sweet. However, the customer service rep checking me in at Logan could have been much more friendly. I was bringing my parents lobster from Maine, and I ended up having to check my box of lobster. I have a United Explorer card and a Chase Sapphire Preferred card and I was juggling my luggage and had to sit my money clip wallet on the counter. Since I had cash in my wallet, the customer service rep abruptly told me, “we don’t accept cash.” I have been flying for most of my life and I know that you have to pay for baggage fees with a credit card. This interaction was disappointing to say the least."
Cons: "No beverage service."
Pros: "I went to go talk to an employee about my flight boarding without me, when an Edwin Rodriguez of EWR New Jersey United Airlines employee started screaming at me. He told me to “wake up” and go run after my flight then while going after my flight he yells at me to come back. He apologized a few minutes later and then proceeds to yell at me again. My flight was canceled and reset for a later time. I have prior medical conditions that Edwin Rodriguez agitated through consistently harassing me at the help desk and am now in distress. I’m being relocated due to active duty military service and this is how you treat military veterans and their families."
Cons: "Edwin Rodriguez of the EWR airport in New Jersey. If I screamed whenever I didn’t get my way I’d be arrested. I will never fly United Airlines again because of Edwin Rodriguez."
Pros: "The short lines for boarding, but then again these were small flights. The flights taking off early when all passengers were boarded. The flights arriving much earlier than scheduled."
Cons: "The basic economy flight is bullshit. We both know that it's better to just buy an economic flight. So why even pretend and lie to customers to precast the basic economy flight knowing full well that's just going to force them to have to check in their bags which end up costing more than an economic flight? Why not just offer the regular economy flight price and leave it at that. If the overhead bins are full, offer the passengers a chance to check in their bags for free. What you're doing is preying on the poor who already do not have much which is why they choose the basic economy flight without realizing the full extent of the set up."
Pros: "The price of a ticket is slightly lower. It is not enough of a difference to make the plethora of inconveniences worth it. You are not a valued customer with this fare. If United values customers, they shouldn't offer this fare. That's why I don't fly the bargain airlines."
Cons: "You can't check in at the kiosk on basic economy without an employee badge swipe, and there were no employees available. I had to stop checking in, wait in line, and then the employee that I talked to didn't have the right kind of badge to swipe. So I waited again. Extremely inconvenient. Even after being forced to talk to a ticket agent at check in, they still won't issue a seat. So you have to go to the gate and wait in line again to get a seat. The system is built for maximum inefficiency. It doesn't cost less for them to make me talk to two separate people, it is only to inconvenience the flyer for buying a cheaper ticket. It seems like a punitive system. Boarding was organized and painless. The crew seemed polite. Regarding comfort, the "leg room" on the airbus is ridiculous. I am average height and felt claustrophobic. I can't imagine how a tall person feels. There was no " entertainment" on my flight, so one star for that. I didn't not receive any food and was not offered water, 1 star."
Cons: "Even though I have an account with United, and confirmed that I was a vegetarian both online, and on the flight heading to Europe, my meal wasn't entered. It worked out really well because I was sitting close to the front and they had pasta dishes available, but this is not the first time that United and its partners have "lost" or "mishandled" my vegetarian registration. The flight attendant even remarked that sadly, she hears this 'complaint' constantly. The food was good, but there's no reason that my meal request can't stay in the system."
Cons: "I am at a loss for words. I was scheduled to depart from Tampa,Fl July 25th at 5pm. I was able to catch an earlier flight when another airline so I did. I still needed to fly back from my destination from Newark, Nj on Monday July 31. Due to me not taking my original flight United cancelled my ENTIRE reservation and they want me to pay $250 to rebook, which I do not have. I am currently stuck in New York with no money for a return flight, and will possibly lose my job. I am extremely shocked that they would do that. I will NEVER recommend or fly with them again."
Pros: "First time to fly! The ground crew were very helpful. The crew members were really cheerful-- they were super professional about dealing with a crying baby, food was good-- I loved led the Shepard pie, and the aircraft was really new, and on time."
Pros: "Flight delay almost 3hours while several other flights were taking off all around us. After landing we taxi'd almost 40min! No pretzels or anything to eat. My entire row's seats did not recline back, we were not in an emergency exit aisle! The rude flight attendant didn't even offer me anything to drink but did offer others around me. The passenger next to me was appalled & got her attention so she could take my drink order. What did the flight attendant say..."Did you want something!" Insert dirty look here"
Cons: "Flight delay almost 3hours while several other flights were taking off all around us. After landing we taxi'd almost 40min! No pretzels or anything to eat. Pros: "The crew was understanding and patient"
Cons: "I was informed by text that flight would be 3 hours late but when I called I was told I would need to get to airport at least an hour before scheduled departure as They MIGHT get a new aircraft!!!! However when I got to airport the flight was now listed at 4 hours late. Then it was listed as 6 hours late and We arrived 6 1/2 hours late. I had missed my first trAin connection and lost part of that fee because of change then had to take UBER from airport to Penn Station in order to catch the LAST train to my home in upstate NY and was so late I could not call people to pick me up so had to take another taxi. The $50 credit you gave us did not even cover my extra taxi fares let alone aggravation AND the TV monitor in front of my seat did not work!! I am a United mileage person who flies regularly but to Texas and internationally but this was worst flight in years."
Pros: "Plane left on time"
Cons: "I know Hawaii is a domestic flight but offering a cookie and a bag of pretzels on an 11 hour flight is ridiculous. There was something wrong with screen at my seat. They tried fixing it but no luck. It was very frustrating. The second leg of my journey was from D.C. To Newark. A "puddle jumper "that you disembark from onto the tarmac, get to wait in the rain while they unload you "carry on" luggage from the back of the plane. Herd you onto a bus yelling at you" if your going to gate C this bus going to gate A that bus".No one to ask "how do I know what gate I am supposed to go to?". They definitely treated"commuter "passengers like sheep. "Thank You For Flying With United "blah blah blah"
Pros: "The people at the gate were very friendly and helped ensure we made the plane although we were late because of a misunderstanding of the boarding times. The original itinerary was booked through Kayak for Lufthansa months ago. The flight was 10:25 and boarding time was 9:50 up until the night before the flight. The crew members made a remark while we boarded as if it was because we went to the duty free. It was not because of the duty free visit and would have liked to tell the flight attendant to keep that remark to herself or wait until she was in private with her coworkers. It's a matter of professionalism if she wasn't going to confront me personally."
Cons: "Plane was old. The overhead compartments kept opening upon takeoff and landing. Although passengers were able to close them, they would just open again. This posed a safety concern to the passengers near the compartments. (3 compartment doors that I know of opened). The TV screens were unsatisfactory for an international flight greater than 5 hours. The food was disgusting and competitor airlines offer a much better selection for international flights. Would not consider United for an international flight based on this experience despite price."
Cons: "I was unable to load on to the plane after trying to confirm my conferirmatiojn. I was scheduled for a flight from Detroit to Newark New Jersey . I had received a hematoma at the airport directly prior to the flight at the counter in Detroit. It was essential that I be on the flight because my aunt died the next day and was extraordinarily ill. This was all explained to the agent. They did nothing to help in this mess. I ended up flying to Washington DC on a different airline. They did nothing to try to help. I want a refund for this flight. There is no reason the airline could have helped out in some way. I have emergency room bills and death notices. Thanks for your help."
Pros: "I liked the savory snack mix."
Cons: "From the surly check in personnel, to the confused boarding. Even less charming than usual. The flight was scheduled to depart at 11:40 from Tampa to Newark. Twenty minute delay for boarding and then additional 40 minute ground delay. Flight scheduled from 11:40 to 2:20 p.m. Onboard the flight attendant came through with the food carte. Were any of the "lunch" items available? "No, we only have snack items on this flight." But it's during lunch time... "It's not a long enough flight." WHO COULD MAKE THIS UP? We declined to complain for fear we would be thrown from the plane. Oh yes, I have 1,800,000 miles on United."
Pros: "The flight was great. The seat was comfortable, the staff was funny and kind."
Cons: "You need more sparkling water on the flights, LaCroix. Or Dasani, so many people no longer drink diet soda for healthier options, more sparkling beverages would be wonderful."
Pros: "The snack mix. The power outlets underneath my seat."
Cons: "The steward wasn't very friendly and had a curt attitude when I had any requests for water and a refill of water. I didn't like that you needed the United app in order to watch in flight entertainment. That should be specified before getting on the plane because had I known I would have downloaded it to watch movies. Rather you MUST purchase the internet to download the app once in the air and that was just frustrating to find out an hour into a 5 hour flight. The lack of snacks. There is no variety, I had no idea what I was getting and the offerings they did have felt very restricted. Leg room was atrocious. Especially because we had no overhead room to store our backpacks which meant we had to place it under the chair in front of us. I am relatively tall so I wanted to stretch out my feet under the chair in front of me but they had to straddle my fat backpack and the gentleman who sat in front of me was very large and he kept kicking and hitting my feet underneath his chair."
Pros: "Not bad overall. I was exhausted at one point and passed out in my chair. I would have missed my flight if the gentleman boarding people hadn't noticed and woke me up to ask if I should be on the flight. I was out so deeply that I hadn't heard any announcements. There wasn't any food on the three flights but a cookie waffle thing and that was all I had during the 13ish hours I was on planes. The staff was super awesome and nice. Space wasn't any different than other planes, but tight on the first flight. I got lucky on the last two."
Cons: "I was starving and literally dehydrated. I was so thirsty."
Cons: "Flight delayed and sat on tarmac. For 1/2 hour"
Pros: "The crew was very friendly and helpful, food was ok."
Cons: "It is uncomfortable, you can´t select a decent seat and there´s no entertainment, you hae to pay for it. There's suppose to be an option with mobile devices but when you make the ticket purchase it only says that entertainment is included in longflights and it is not. I paid for the entertrainment system but you have only some options and the movies start according to their own schedule so you can't really pick what you want to watch. And the directv remotes are not set in a good place, the are in the arm rest, so everytime the person next to you moves the wrong way they change your channel or turn the volume down or something else. For such an expensive and long flight the tiny space between chairs and entertainment lack is unacceptable."
Cons: "We're all aware of the national "glitch" the delayed flights a couple of hours. While our plane was available for an on-time departure (UA1976) @11:35, the crew was inbound on one of the delayed flights (UA1611). United could have known as early as 7:30pm that 1611 wasn't going to make it on time to turn around the crew and would hold up 1976 as a result. Instead United didn't update passengers of 1976 until 11:55 (20 minutes after it was obvious that it was delayed and 4.5 hours after they could have known). Maybe I'm missing something, would love for someone at United to explain it."
Pros: "The seats were very comfortable - there was ample leg room. The attendant that was handing out drinks and snacks was very nice."
Cons: "Flight was delayed, which I suppose wasn't the worst thing. I've had nicer attendants. Many people had to check bags due to there not being ample room in the overhead compartments, however when I was walking to my seat I couldn't help but notice that many people had stored their purses, backpacks, and jackets in the overhead compartments. Many people in the front didn't have anything at their feet which could have saved at least some people the hassel of having to check their bags when they hadn't planned on checking any at all. When I offered this idea to the flight attendant to see if he couldnt possibly make an announcement or if he could ask if anyone could move their stuff he simple answered "Well you know what? No one cares." Although I can understand that must be very frustrating for him and the other flight attendants, I thought the situation could have been handled a little bit better, perhaps there should be a better plan for a situation like this to make sure the room in the overhead compartments is used in the most efficient way."
Cons: "They canceled my flight without asking me or notifying me. I wad left stranded at the airport when I showed up 1.5h before takeoff to find thru cancelled my ticket. I was forced to buy a very expensive last minute ticket with another airline and got home very late. I am still in disbelief"
Pros: "Boarding went well. Lots of empty seats, so i had the whole row to myself."
Cons: "There was nearly a 3-hour delay because the plane was late arriving from Newark. Take-off was very bumpy;plane dropped and shuddered for a minute or so Considering the small number of passengers, the flight attendants didn't spread their time around any more. Just before the end of the flight, a crew member came offered a glass of water. It tasted so bad that I had to bring it to the back and dump it. The lfight attendant wouldn;t take it' he told me to wait for the next member with a trash bag."
Cons: "Because United scheduled flights without regard to airport Construction in Boston my flight was changed 3 times and I still missed my connecting flight. After I missed my flight, they refused to schedule me on the next available flight even though people behind me were scheduled because they were preferred customers. They refused to pay for my hotel and the customer service was rude arrogant and dismissive. I will absolutely never fly United again. The crew on the Boston flight to Newark was lovely everything beyond that was absolutely abhorrent. We got to our connecting flight exactly as boarding closed and they refused to let 11 people board. And subsequently, United staff was rude to us saying it wasn't their fault."
Cons: "We had a 2+ hour delay after boarding and prior to takeoff due to some combination of a problem with the auxiliary power unit and rerouting requiring additional refueling. No air conditioning and very hot environment for most of this time. The crew was visibly upset by the delays and repeatedly blamed the local groundcrew/staff while doing very little to make the passengers more comfortable. It took >1hr for them to pass water. No apologies. No effort during flight to make up for the discomfort (eg free wifi access). Very frustrating experience."
Pros: "There was absolutely nothing to like about this trip."
Cons: "My first flight was delayed 2 hours due to a ground stop at the next airport. Upon finally boarding the plane for a second time, we sat at the Albany airport for abou 40 minutes. When arriving to the Newark airport, there was communication issues and no way for us to get to a terminal so we were stuck on that plane for 2 hours. While stuck on the plane my connecting flight got delayed twice then cancelled. Once finally in the airport, I waited an hour in line for customer service only to tell me they couldn't even put me up in a hotel because it was air traffic controls fault, even though NO other airline was down. They gave me a $10 food voucher, apparently that would fix everything. I had to put myself in a $130 hotel room and being a broke college student I wasn't expecting that. I will never fly united again, it was he worst experience I've ever had and one of the most stressful days. This airline is horrible."
Cons: "First when seated there was no room for even my purse in the overhead storage. I had to hold everything in my lap. My ticket seats were separated when I was sure I booked the seats together. The blanket given to my seat was in package but was used and very vile smelling. The flight attendant was very rude, had an attitude when I asked for a drink after I wasn't offered one. When landing and I was asleep, flight attendant hit my head to wake me up to adjust my seat to the correct position rather then in a polite way. Also luggage was not with the rest of the planes luggage and on a differnt carousel. I travel often and are use to glitches, but when cleanliness and attitude come into the picture those are things that can be controlled. I wish to no longer travel with United again."
Pros: "Timely updates on my flight status and gate status"
Cons: "Delayed original aircraft- transfered to different flight"
Pros: "Nonstop flight! Nice and cool on the plane. The movies/entertainment were pretty good. Flight attendants were pleasant. This flight had its own security line at the airport! No waiting at all to go through security."
Cons: "It was delayed about 2 hours. The boarding process was a bit chaotic- partly because of the layout of the airport. The waiting area was small so it got congested quickly when 3 flights were boarding at the same time. Even though United checked us in by group number, we had to board a bus to get to the plane. So, the group number system wasn't really enforced when we actually got on the plane -- more like first come, first served at that point. First class and business class did get to go ahead on a different bus. We also had to climb stairs from the tarmac - could be an issue for the disabled."
Pros: "Speed and ease of our return home."
Cons: "We got in SO early, there was no gate ready for us at Newark, so we had to stay on board at least 30 min. Also they didnt allow even 1 person waiting in queue for bathroom, so if you sat down you'd lose your place."
Pros: "It was pretty cheap"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed because the pilot wasn't there. I feel like this sort of thing always happens with united. When I went to ask for help about my connecting flights I was treated like I was the one inconveniencing them. And the response I got was there's nothing we can do if you miss your connecting flight the only one going out today is at 10 pm but it's completely full already. I feel like it was the worst customer service and while I realize the lady I spoke to was probably not the one responsible for the captain being Mia she could have been more kind and more helpful by 100%"
Pros: "The seats were roomy enough. The plane was clean."
Cons: "The flight within itself was not a problem. However there was a hold up because on weather which is not a problem better safe than sorry. But trying to make our connecting flight was the problem we asked over and over for information on if we were to make our connecting flight and no one seem to be able to give us a relatively fair answer on what we were to do because of the delays. Needless to say we missed our connecting flight in New Jersey they shut the door and said we could not board, that's OK if that was the rules but what to do next was the problem, no one could seemingly help us.We had to walk around to find someone to help us to only be told that we can just get the next flight but we had to go to customer service to get re-ticketed which was making us missed even another flight the lines in customer service were extremely long and they were going extremely slow so I had to jump out of line and go to a gate in which someone help me get re-ticketed to catch the next flight. We were to have someone to meet us in London in which we had no way to connect with them to tell them we were going to be 2 to 3 hours late. Once we got on a flight the plane was clean, the seats were spacious enough for economy and the staff was friendly but coming through New Jersey was not what I would want to do again but I had a flight back coming through. The horror!"
Cons: "The flight was delayed multiple times causing me to have to literally run across airport to catch international connecting flight. Gate crew did very little to assist me in securing an alternate flight. On board crew did little to assist me in finding out information and getting me off the plane quickly to get to my connecting flight. Overall they showed little empathy and customer service."
Pros: "The flight was short"
Cons: "We had to walk almost halfway to Newark just to get to the flight. It was outside on the Tarmac at the very very very end of the terminal, I've never seen anything like it before. We also left a travel folder in the seat back pocket containing important documents and a sealed envelope of 1000$ USD. We immediately called to retrieve it and at first were told to file a complaint online, no matter how many times we tried to tell them that time was of the essence in this situation. We also begged the united airlines personnel to speak with a manager and he wouldn't put one on the phone. In the end all they could tell us is that the folder "wasn't there""
Pros: "Great flight crew. Liked the pre-laid out boarding group lines."
Cons: "TV screen advertising got annoying. Seat was not very comfortable (although definitely not the worst either)."
Pros: "Seat too tight couldn't move at all"
Cons: "Seat too tight couldn't move at all"
"Selling seats to make a bit more profit for airlines has turned into a nightmare for those of us not willing to pay extra fees, this flight was packed at the back of the plane leaving full rows of seats empty and unavailable, horrible practice during a pandemic. Is it really worth it to spread such ill will? And not even one ounce of complimentary water. No thanks done with Frontier and fee based flying."
"Never again. Too much to list. The last straw was a flight attendant said it was too hot in the airplane to board. So she delayed us an hour and a half to “cool” the airplane down. This was after a quick turn from another crew who arrived at our gate on time."
"Worst flight ever ! 2 hour delay for nothing couldn’t even buy a water. Ridiculous"
Cons: "Provide Atleast water. Seats were terribly uncomfortable. No cushion and barely enough leg room to cross your legs."
Cons: "Flight was delayed almost 24hrs due to no pilots or flight attendees"
Pros: "Crew was nice and helpful"
Cons: "Flight was delayed by a long time, boarding and take off took an extremely long time."
Pros: "It was amazing"
Cons: "Maybe a drink"
Cons: "Have snacks or free water"
Pros: "Crew was friendly"
Cons: "On time schedule"
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "Boarding needs to be more organized, other zone passengers squeeze in top tier and associates let them in."
Pros: "The crew was fine but the seats were horrible. I paid $67 for extra comfort and there was none."
Cons: "The seats"
Cons: "Frontier “recommended we cancel” our flights in order to change a date, EVEN though they have a “flexible cancellation” and “no fees to reschedule”. In turn they canceled our flights home, provided us with a credit that wouldn’t even cover our flight, and then provided the WORST customer service I have ever been apart of. The supervisor was incredibly rude. I was provided a $140 ticket credit (less than half of what I paid) and am will probably never use it. Very disappointed"
Pros: "Frontier staff gipped us money in order to check in"
Cons: "Mexican staff are horrible"
Cons: "Separate the individuals on the flight. Many seats available in the back and yet they crammed everyone in the front side by side with the covid-19 conditions just not smart planning at all"
Cons: "I don’t appreciate the hidden carry on fees!"
Pros: "Smooth flight"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 3 times, only gave a $50 voucher for inconvenience, which was not adequate"
Pros: "On time not crowded"
Cons: "Beverage service"
Pros: "Non stop"
Cons: "A C"
Cons: "Flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues. No help was offered other than rebooking on a flight that didn’t get me to my destination until the next day and included an overnight stay at a hub airport with no hotel voucher. When told that was unacceptable I was handed a piece of paper listing two “Options” from Frontier. Both options involved going to a website and filling out forms. One for cancellation and $500 in travel vouchers which, after filling out the form and submitting returned with a message that the website was closed. Option 2 was to try to rebook which led to a dead end. I finally called Frontier directly and spent over 45 minutes getting everything straightened out. Now I have vouchers that have to be used by January 1, 2019."
Pros: "The crew was friendly."
Cons: "The flight was delayed, which on its face is understandable, except that it seems to be a pattern with Frontier. Whether I'm flying them myself, or picking up someone who's flying them, the last several Frontier flights I've experienced have been delayed, often repeatedly. And then there's the luggage fees . . . I booked this most recent ticket well in advance, and wasn't sure what my luggage needs would be. When I went online to add bags, I learned that adding them post booking, but pre-airport still incurred a significant cost increase - from $25 (at booking) to $38 (a week before check in). To carry one bag and check another, I had to pay nearly $80, which was more than the cost of my actual plane ticket! I'm sorry, Frontier, but I think our relationship is coming to an end . . ."
Cons: "I cancelled my flight a week before the time of departure they said that it'll cost me $99 to cancel the flight and $86.45 was supposed to be refunded. the lady told me it will take 7 to 10 business days when I called 3 days later on the 10th day I called and the gentleman told me that I don't get a refund I get a credit of the $86.45 that I can use to October 7th to use on any flight. My problem with that is I don't fly often and I had to cancel that due to my job. I feel that if I cancel a flight way in advance before the flight is being departed I should be able to get my refund back I'm sorry to say it is but I would never use this airline company again because if I knew that the first time. I wouldn't have done it. Oh I also found out because I keep getting updates from kayak of the flight that the flight was supposed to been I believe was 8:30 p.m. but due to rain it didn't leave Philadelphia Pennsylvania until around 11:45 p.m. so I'm kind of glad now I didn't go because my family member who I was going to visit would have been very upset because they had to stay up an extra 4 hours and they had to go to work the next morning."
Cons: "Out flight was cancelled after you delayed it for 3 hours. At 2:00AM we finally figured out what was going on. We were stranded in the Philadelphia airport. There was very poor, if any communication. At that late hour, all hotels were booked. We were forced to stay in the airport, with no place to rest. Some passengers got pillows and blankets provided by Frontier which we repeatedly asked for, but were never provided. It was undoubtedly one of the worst experiences of our lives! We are still waiting for our full refund! 3 of us had booked round trip to Orlando, paid for special seating, paid for carry-on bags We expect a rapid response before this goes on social media"
Cons: "Frontier is now a leader in PRICE FRAUD & Extortion! They believe in Dishonest pricing & Deliberately deceiving their customers. They slapped me with an $80 fee to board my flight! Extortion!! So my $170 airfare suddenly increased in price by 47% !! This is a total scam. Worse than a bait & switch scam (which is illegal). Even the smallest tote bag with a toothbrush & overnight clothes will incur extra big fees for carry-on "luggage"... Where is the FCC & the consumer protection bureau on this?...Fees for basic carry-on items needs to be made ILLEGAL!! I'll never fly again with such a dishonest airline. Sign me up for SouthWest every time...I don't care what the price difference is, I refuse to give my money to mobsters. You blew it Frontier! Never Again."
Cons: "There was a lag time from when we boarded and when we departed and there was no reason given for the delay. Unfortunately we also experienced a lot of turbulence during the flight (no one's fault) but our almost two year old ended up getting sick and neither seat back pocket had any bags. Luckily the lady next to my husband had brought her own and gave them to us. We were in the back of the plane and asked for a trash bag and or napkins and they ignored us at first. My husband and I tried to stay positive and laughed pretty much the whole time because these things happen. The crew didn't help us until decent (about 20 minutes later) and seemed upset that some got on the floor as they were complaining that they would need to use a special cleaning agent. Our son was such a trooper and wasn't fussy or crying. His stomach just couldn't handle the turbulence. The only positive about our flight we're the wonderful passengers sitting around us!"
Pros: "I liked the ticket agent in Denver who fixed my incorrectly printed boarding pass."
Cons: "Flight was over 2 hours late. Missed my scheduled flight in Denver, did get on a later flight that night, but got in very late. Ticket agent at the desk before I left MSP took my boarding pass for flight from Denver to SLC, not sure if he listed me on the wrong flight out of Denver or if the agent at the desk in Denver printed the wrong boarding pass. A SLC and Las Vegas flight were at neighboring gates when I realized something was wrong. I'd been printed a boarding pass for the flight to Las Vegas instead of SLC. Glad I noticed it before the last flight to SLC left. Was suffering at the time with a bout of diverticulitis, the straight up and down, nonreclining seats were horrific for me."
Pros: "Crew was friendly and polyte. Flight was on time. that's about it"
Cons: "Seats are the most uncomfortable of any airline i have ever used. Will charge you $3 for a cup of soda on a 4 hour flight. No entertainment, no wifi. They charge you if you want to pick a seat next to your spouse. $40 for a carry-on Red eye flight, no pillows, no blankets, airpline was freezing cold. Announcements over the speakers every 40 minutes or so asking you to buy or subscribe to some service. Constant announcements , very annoying. Specially on an overnight flight when most people are trying to sleep, which is nearly imposible on those seats"
Cons: "Packed in like sardines, Frontier has replaced their seats with glorified folding chairs that do not recline and offer a fold down table smaller than a table napkin. Rows have been shifted so there is less room than before! Impossible! No beverages, even water, unless you pay. No food unless you pay. After airfare we than had to pay $17 a seat per person each way to select a seat. (Wasn't that what airfare is, buying a seat?) My 56,000 saved miles have disappeared from the Frequent flyer program with no warning so now I have no reason to Fly Frontier. And won't."
Cons: "The crew was very clumsy and on multiple occasions either elbowed me in the head as the walked passed, hit my knee with the concessions cart, etc. all with Minimal apology. I enjoy flying frontier because of the cheapness, but I this flight made me see what I was paying for. Might just have to bite the bullet and pay the extra few dollars for better service in flight. There was also a maintenance issue that delayed the flight about 15 to 20 minutes and we got little explanation as to what was happening. Lastly, i think it is absolutely ridiculous that you have to pay upwards of $45 to carry on a bag. I had to have an extra $80 added onto my trip due to this, so inconvenient and just makes me want to switch airlines completely and skip all of this hastle. Cheap doesn't always pay off."
Cons: "Frontier cancelled return flight without telling me and refusing to do anything other than refund 75$ or give me a flight 4 days later. Frontier refused to help with hotel or other accommodations and I had to rebook flight with delta for 350$ so I could get back home. Also, the employees from Frontier were extremely rude and refused to even look at me or even answer my questions. They said flight was cancelled due to weather reasons, but American Airlines was able to get planes running on only an hour delay. And, again, I never even had the common courtesy of a call or email, or text that my flight was cancelled! I had to find out when I got to the airport,"
Pros: "I liked the fact that I was FINALLY able to fly from MSP to Denver. My flight was cancelled due to the weather. The woman at check-in was very, very good as far as being able to handle a lot of cranky passengers. She kept a positive attitude and was able to book me on a flight 2 days later. Kudos to her."
Cons: "No compensation was offered. NONE. This lay over was expensive (two nights in a motel plus food). You didn't even offer me a drink of water while I stood in long lines getting to the check-in counter and then waiting to make arrangement at a motel. I know the weather is out of your control, but couldn't you at least try to make your patrons comfortable after they have been on the road in sub-zero weather, in the snow trying to make their flight??? Enuf said. I will likely not fly with you again."
Cons: "Received email at 3:30pm that 8:15pm flight from New Orleans to Philadelphia was cancelled. Was on the way to the airport already, so didn't see the email until the lady at the desk told me it was cancelled. When I asked why, she said it was "due to weather" because it was snowy up in Philadelphia. Since they were claiming the cancellation was due to weather, they would not help arrange or pay for an alternate flight on another airline, nor cover a hotel during the time stuck there. They told us that the next flight we could take was Friday (it was Monday), which was also the day before Christmas eve. It was not snowy in Philadelphia. The plane we were supposed to be taking was arriving from Philadelphia on time. After 2hrs of being on hold and arguing with Frontier customer services, they finally admitted to my travel partner that the reason for the cancellation was actually because it would put the flight crew that they had over the legal limit of fly time without breaking/sleeping. So they lied to me completely about the reason to begin with, offered no help whatsoever to resolve the problem in a reasonable manner, and eventually admitted the real cause of the cancellation but still refused to pay for another flight. Luckily, one of my other travel companions was headed to Philadelphia via American Airlines at the same time, and had miles they were willing to let us use. Otherwise, it would have cost $2000 for the two of us to get home - or whatever it would cost to stay in a hotel for 4 nights while missing work. Never choosing them again."
Cons: "We were 5 minutes after the 45 minute cut off for checking in luggage (due to a bunch of mishaps that were obviously not planned for). The Frontier staff was rude, unsympathetic, and very accommodating. They would not work with us at all and made us rebook. They didn't have another flight for another 24 hours. We had to pay $99 a person to go on this flight. The airport was empty. They could have easily rushed our bags on to the flight. (This once happened to me on Southwest and with 28 minutes to spare they got us and our bags on the flight!) They were determined to make us feel miserable and treated us like we were children in trouble. They do not care about customer service and seem to enjoy when their customers are miserable."
Cons: "Seats don't recline- $45 charge for a carryon bag? Staff seems burned out- just going thru motions. Like it's their last job or no other airline would hire them- their doing us ( the customer ) a favor because they went to work that day- the captain seemed fine. Only came on when had to. There were no air sickness bags- the turbulence was very bad. The woman next to me barely made it to the bathroom in time- because on the the lavatories was not in use for a maintenance issue. Overall very poor experience"
Pros: "It doesn't matter to y'all what i like. Due to a deep discount ticket, elected to fly one way back from the NBAA - National Business Aviation Association annual convention in Orlando. It was like coming from first class to third class but i knew that having flown Frontier once before rt SEA and denied the credit card i took up the offer. You people could write the reversal book a retort to Dale Carnegie, 'How to loose friends and influence people'."
Cons: "Really don't care much for your airline, never have. It starts with an attitude. Then you have the audacity to demand $25 for my standard airline roller bag. The so called food is lousy. Three crew members handled my request for more water with "did you want to recycle that"(?) sarcastic. One was a skinhead. Not only are your clothes black, it is the deepest textured black i've ever seen, right out of the Bible as defined as people of darkness, no taste either. The seat had no recline, not even the new two inches. That dinky tray table, have never seen before. What is this Spirit Airlines (never flown)? Put a handicaped person on last and have them get off the plane after everyone else has left, not the complete opposite. Actually it was all as expected. I know you people. But the pilots did a fine job. commercial pilot grs"
Pros: "I did not like anything"
Cons: "Passengers were kept on the plane for 3hours before the captain made a decision to let the passengers off. the flight attendants were rude and lacked compassion for the passengers discomfort. Passengers were not offered any complimentary beverages or snacks to compensate for the inconvenience. Limited clarity was given concerning steps needed to board the next flight. The seats are hard, uncomfortable and do not recline. This is not my first negative experience with frontier but it will be the last."
Cons: "I felt duped. I chose Frontier because of the competitive rate for the flight fee. I had NO idea I was going to be asked to pay $60 for my carry-on bag at the gate! and THEN be required to pay again for a simple drink and snack on the airplane. I understand charging for upgraded options of more expensive drinks and larger snack items and additional baggage, but whatever happened to including the basic courtesies in the cost of the flight!? Again, I felt duped! I will not be choosing Frontier again in the future unless these things change. And, oh my gosh, sitting within 3 rows of the lavatory was extremely uncomfortable to the nose the entire flight! Surely there are better ways of de-odorizing!"
Cons: "Everything. The ticket was equally expensive as any other carrier, but they charge you for carry ons which was very expensive. They also don't give you anything complimentary on the flight which I thought would've been the least that they could do after how much money I spent. I've never been on a flight where they were so cheap and didn't give anything to the passengers for their hours of being on a plane. not to mention they were very unorganized and we had an hour delay and were told to exit the plane because they could not figure out how to shut the baggage door under the plane. After people started getting off they let us know that the pilot figured out how to shut the door after trying one time. It was a complete inconvenience to everyone on the plane, and they did nothing to make it up to the exhausted passengers. I will never fly with frontier again, and all of the other passengers agreed."
Pros: "Frontier has the best crew members"
Cons: "The flight was changed from arriving on Sunday evening to a red-eye that arrived at 6 am monday morning. My husband and I would not have booked this flight if this had been the original timing. Also, the "first class" is a joke. We paid extra because of previously mentioned schedule changes hoping to get some sleep. (We both had to be at work Monday) The seats were not bigger, any more comfortable, and do not seem to have any additional leg room. The flight itself went smoothly. However, I will try to avoid taking Frontier airlines because of the delays, outrageous schedule rearrangements, and lack of comfortability."
Pros: "Seats were ok. Drinks on plane weren't too overpriced."
Cons: "You get what you pay for as they say. Crew was unprofessional, rude, didn't even tell me which way my gate was I had to turn back around and ask. All they were doing was BSing with each other and laughing. Pilot took forever to even take off, we literally drove around on the ground going like 10 mph for about 15-20 minutes, and because we didn't take off when we were supposed to I assume is why our flight got delayed an hour! Never have had a delayed flight until frontier. Then to make matters worse, I checked my bag and they put it on the wrong belt I literally waited for my one suitcase for about 45 minutes! Like wtf get your situation together. Not to mention the $30 1st bag fee at least sun country gives you that."
Pros: "Nice newer airplane Hidden fees not so friendly"
Cons: "They charge me $50 for a seat at check-in They charged me $40 to carry-on one bag at check in They charge for all refreshments and snacks. The only thing that was complementary was a small glass of water. One of the flight attendants asked me if I would be willing to give up my aisle seat that I paid an extra $50 for to take a center seat so a teenage boy could sit by his mother. 99 times out of 100 I would have given the boy my seat. However this was a longer flight and I just had to pay $50 to obtain my aisle seat. When I tried to nicely explain that I just paid extra money to get this I'll seat the flight attendants response was " well he had to pay $50 for that center seat also, so it's basically the same seat". I replied no actually that is a center seat and I'm sitting in an aisle seat so they are different. After I declined to change my seat the flight attendant gave me major attitude about it and went off and informed the other flight attendants that I would not change seats. All of the flight attendants gave me the stink eye the rest of the trip, treated me rudely, & and ignored me as much as possible. I've been flying for my profession for 13 years and this was the most unprofessional crew I've ever seen. This is my one and only complaint about a flight in 13 years of many many flights. I will try very hard not to fly with Frontier ever again."
Cons: "I arrived at Austin airport one hour before my flight and no one was at the Frontier counter to help with a boarding pass and check my bag in. I had no choice but to miss my flight and they wouldn't give me a refund and basically told me it was my fault because I didn't arrive two hours prior to boarding? The Lady at the Delta counter told me no one had been at the Frontier counter for over an hour! So I recommend anyone spend the extra money and avoid this airline like the plague. Terrible terrible terrible!"
Cons: "There is no warning from Frontier that customers will be charged for both checked and carry-on bags. Along with being charged extra depending on what seat the customer chooses (up to $30 additional charge). It's a good thing I went online 24 hours before my flight or I would have been very upset to get to the gate and have had to pay $60 for my bag. There seems to be an up charge for everything after the ticket is paid for, including food and drink. The seats in the airplane felt like glorified plastic lawn chairs."
Pros: "Crew was considerate and offered updates as we waited. We were given a lunch voucher and $100 voucher for a future trip -- on frontier and within 3 months. Fortunately for me, I did not have a connection and the person I was meeting in Orlando was also delayed 4 hours from a different location . So I was only moderately inconvenienced. Ordinarily this would have been a very costly event. This is my 2nd trip on the same flight within one month. Non-stop and times are great. First trip was on schedule and solid. Very friendly staff. Planes seemed new, cean, and safe, but not very comfortable (seats did not recline!?)"
Cons: "Delayed for 4 hours. We all boarded the plane before being told there was a problem, so then everyone had to de-plane and wait near gate for more information. Arrived Orlando too late to drive to destination. Wasted a day of car rental. Must use $100 voucher within 90 days."
Pros: "It was on time."
Cons: "The seats are too small, and not padded much, so it is like sitting on a folding chair. THE SEATS DONT RECLINE. There was a 4" tray table because there isn't room for the normal 8"? (Guess) tray table to go. You can't put a laptop or anything on the tray table. I am a petite girl and i could not bend over in my seat to try snd get your personsl item... My head would hit the seat in front of me...very uncomfotable flight. Everything was an extra: we paid $35 to check each bag and $40 to carry one on. Pay for drinks on flight. No movie. I will never choose to fly Frontier ever again, unless it's my only option."
Pros: "The desk staff and pilot were awesome. Very sympathetic, attentive, and personable throughout the entire long day. They all deserve TOP recognition!!!"
Cons: "Due to a winter storm, our flight was on hold for 8 hours. We were told all day to "stay with the plane", but in the end our flight was being used to fly the next day 5:30 passengers and we would not have a flight. So we waited all day, patiently, courteously and were left hanging. I was stranded 2 hours from home and wouldn't have a flight out for 4 days. Since I would have had to return the 5th day, I had no choice but to take the shuttle back home. Even the pilot and desk staff assumed we would be flown out in the morning. Frontier seriously needs to work on customer service when it comes to interrupted flights. We, who had been disrupted all day should have been placed on that morning flight. The 5:30 booking should have been delayed due to the circumstances."
Pros: "The flight attendants gossiping about the other crew!"
Cons: "Having to pay for seats, mobile check in that kept thing me I hadn't paid for the seat, having to pay for a bag at one price at check in and a different price at the airport (it goes to the same place people), having to pay for your carry on, really?!!!?, having to pay for a pitifull snack, pay for a soda (surprised you don't have to pay to use the toilets!) And could you get any meaner flight attendants. The poor guy next to me seat didn't work and she practically bounced him off the plane cause he couldn't get his seat back in an upright position. what we thought was a great ticket price ended up being more than Delta!"
Pros: "I felt deceived by Frontier. I knew paying the low fair I was going to get a bare bones trip. I was fine with paying for my own drink. I cannot believe that the airline is charging $40 bags for a carry on!!!!!! Also I had to pay an additional $27 each so my husband and I could sit together. Shame on you frontier. Of given the choice I will NEVER fly with this airline again. Everyone I tell about my experience has their own negative story to tell about Frontier. I suggest you change your practice before you go out of business. My final cost was double the original price of my original ticket. Just price the ticket as it should be."
Pros: "The plan was new and clean. Nice job on the finishes.flight was turbulent and the staff was very attentive to those passenger that needed assistance, great job."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed and we received no explanation to as why. Then when we boarded the flight it was half empty. But everyone was seated towards the back of the plan on top of each other.I asked the attendant if me and my son could move to one of the at least 20 empty rows, because we were seated apart from each other ,was told I would have to wait even though the boarding was completed. The attendant came back selected to move 3 rows of passengers to balance out the flight and never move us. And to pay for carry-on is ridiculous!"
