Also bathroom facilities were poor - only two in the back for the entire economy seating. And the aisles were narrow."

When I chose my seat online, I was made to believe it was basically a full flight (only ~3 seats were available and they were all middle seats) so I spent $25 on an exit row seat. Once we boarded, it became apparent that there were a TON of open seats and I would have been able to get an aisle. Kind of sketchy for them to misrepresent the seating like that."

The signage was poor as MSP, which isn't Sun Country's fault, however they made the transfer sound easier than it was."

Also - the MSP security harassed my 80-year-old mother & she is now having nightmares as a result. This seems like a recipe for making people miss the flight. At the very least it made things stressful. No free food/beverages were provided (some is available at a cost). A family with a very tired baby was forced to wait in a huge long line rather than being pre-boarded. That just seems discourteous to me."

Cons: "I have both celiac and a mushroom allergy -- no meal option was proviided to accommodate both. Sure enough, my gluten-free meal contained mushrooms. (It's surprising to me that, since celiacs often have other food allergies/sensitivities, the meal contained a pretty common allergen.) Stuff happens sometimes, but it felt a bit as if the flight attendant felt inconvenienced by my inability to eat the meal. Also, usually disabled passengers are given the opportunity to pre-board -- the wheelchair didn't arrive until quite late, so I was one of the last people, if not the last, on the flight, something that makes getting settled a lot more difficult than when I've been allowed to pre-board. I realize that wheelchair attendants are employed by the airport, not the airline, but he gate agent seemed unconcerned about the fact that nobody had arrived to pick up wheelchair passengers despite the fact that everyone else was already boarding. Finally, the flight departed/arrived quite late, which meant that I had about 10 minutes to spend in the Heathrow Club World lounge before having to wait for a wheelcehair attendant to take me to my connecting flight."

The pilot gave us regular updates about the flight and the weather in Barcelona, our destination. The seats were roomy and comfortable. Restrooms were very clean."

Cons: "I take this flight quite a lot. These comments are for this flight (MIA/MSP) - but not necessarily only for this exact flight that I took on 10/1. To be clear - the crew says "this is not AA", it is Republic Airlines". Well, they must think of themselves very poorly. Their food in first class is always changing - oh, I meant only the names for the same exact meal change. "Grilled Chicken with Couscous", "Grilled Chicken with Risotto", etc.. - all cold meals as they do not have an oven/microwave? on the plane. They are charging first class international prices for economy domestic service. For this amount of money, they should have better meals and a more modern airplane. The first class is always freezing (even in summer) while the rear cabin where the crew stays when not working, is hot. So if they make the first class happy with the correct temperature, they cook in the back. I have also observed more people than usual coughing and getting colds - both ways - than any of the other flights I take regularly (over 115,000 miles on AA this year). I would suggest that AA make it clear that Republic must offer better service to their customers - especially for the large airfares they are receiving."

Cons: "Food - Served the "breakfast" (when it was called a protein plate) I had coming (into MSP). for "lunch" on the way back (called it a meat plate for lunch. One slice turkey, one slice jamon, one egg, cinnamon roll and fruit. Just because they don't want to serve bread - they call it a protein plate? I'm not on a protein diet. Food was pretty sick for the amount I paid for the fight. Stewardess said it was against Republic's rules to give a customer a can of tonic water (so I could add to the small amount of vodka) - she also told me that it was against Delta's, American's and United's rules to give a can - strange? First Class seat did not recline. First Class was freezing per every flight on this segment (the stewardesses sit in the back and don't want to be uncomfortable - if they make the front warm - the back is too hot for them (not joking on this one). So many things to list - that I will finish on the AA site."

At boarding time passengers were informed if there was an issue with the plane and maintenance is on their way to check out the problem. 30 minutes later we were still till that maintenance is on their way. One hour later there is still no information as far as when the fight will leave but they kept updating the boarding time. There was only one person of the counter who could help re-assign passengers to different flights due to their layovers. After waiting in line for 40 minutes and the line making no movement I called the airline 1-800 hundred number and explain my situation to the American Airlines Airlines representative. they really give me a new flight that left 20 minutes later after my call if I did not call I would not mean it that flight nor any other fights that morning because they're all in the afternoon."

Cons: "Took off late from Minneapolis only to announce that there was something wrong with the plane, no explanation as to what but that we had to circle to burn off fuel before returning to Minneapolis. Switched to a flight to D.C. with a connection to get to LGA. As soon as we sat down on that flight an announcement was made that we wouldn't make our connecting flight. Got to D.C. and asked to switch to go into Westchester instead of LGA which we were denied. So changed to another connecting flight to LGA that didn't take off on time. Offered nothing for any of the inconveniences. Etc."
Cons: "They did not have any customs and immigration forms on the plane so everyone had to pick them up as we got off the plane and fill them out before proceeding to the customs area. It was very inconvenient for all passengers since there was not a good area to fiill out the forms and it slowed everyone down. First time I can ever recall the airlines not having the forms available before we landed"

Also, the Kayak/Webjet tickets we were issued interfered with the process as the airline could not reissue us tickets directly. Moreover, one Kayak & Webjet got actively involved, they even tried to deny us passage on the alternate flights that American Airlines suggested. By the time we did make it up to the desk, everything was taken/full for the next few days & we have been struggling to make our overseas travel even possible ever since."

I noticed that you had snacks for purchase on the flight, but the free snacks were cookies and pretzels. It would be nice to offer a trail mix or dried fruit. Pretzels are good for people who might be a little sick at their stomach, but better snacks are a nice option. I ordered coffee and it was perfect. Overall, the flight was a good flight, just a little tweaking and it would be great. Thanks for asking."

When we tried to board, the crew would rudely say, it's not your turn. We were flying for a funeral and paid a lot for our tickets. We should be treated with respect. One lady said to put our luggage in the first available compartment, then when we tried, another lady rudely said, if that's not where you're sitting, you can't put your bag there. We were embarrassed and when we tried to explain what we'd been told she told us to keep moving."

On JetBlue and Frontier, I have to pull out the back pack during the flight to stretch my legs out, but not on either of these flights. This survey rates entertainment, but there was none. For me that's a great thing (I bring my own), so None gets the 5-star rating for my purposes. Uneventful flights--on time even with a short delay taking off out of MSP."

Cons: "While the flight crew was great, the rest of the employees on the Toronto side were awful. Our plane was delayed from Dublin so most of the plane missed their connecting flight. Once off the plane they only had 2 people working rebooking and 2 working bag issues even though there was plenty employees around. After an incredibly long line, the gate agent was very rude. He barely acknowledged me, wouldn't look at me and just shoved my new ticket at me and said next. I tried to talk to another while waiting an extra 4hrs for my next flight and all she did was shove a business card with numbers and said if I had a problem to call one of those numbers and then rolled her eyes and started talking to her friends again. I saw another couple from my flight being passed around and getting rude treatment as well. Another I talked to said they will never fly Air Canada again. I know it wasn't their fault our flight was late but a little compassion and good customer service goes a long way. I had to spend $15 on dinner that I wouldn't if I had made my flight but they gave another couple from my flight $10 vouchers for food. So inconsistent! I also paid $100 extra on my ticket to sit closer to the front of the plane since I knew I had a short layover (which didn't make a difference) but they just gave the same seat to the girl next to me for the same reason. When I asked for a refund on the seat cost they just blew me off. To sum it up, the flight crew was great and very friendly but all the ground employees were awful and really need to improve on their customer service skills."

Interestingly, my daughter in Minneapolis knew before we did that our flight was cancelled. Poor communication. My son who was traveling with me was able to get help from Fatima on the "white phone". She got us to Winnipeg on a midnight flight and we then booked a $1400 Delta flight to Minneapolis from there. We needed to be there by 10 am to attend the legal adoption ceremony of my daughter's infant son. It was very close but we made it. Cons: "The flight had two legs: from Boston to Toronto and from Toronto to New Delhi. The layover was 1 hr 6 min, which was tight. After checking in our bags, we found out that the first leg of our flight is 2 hours late, so obviously we couldn't take the second flight. Looking at the TV monitors, I noticed that pretty much ALL Air Canada flights are seriously delayed. Luckily, there was an earlier flight to Toronto (which was scheduled to have already left, but it did not leave because that was delayed, too). The staff put us on that flight and double promised to make sure that our checked in baggage gets transferred to this alternate flight. The checked bags did not get transferred. When we arrived at Delhi, after an exasperating 1.5 hour delay after a 20 hour flight, the airline told us, and many others in the same situation, that our baggage did not arrive, and we have to come the next day to pick them up. The issue was, we were not staying in Delhi, just transiting through it. No luck, the airline said, because the customs have to be cleared at the port of entry. We are still waiting for our baggage. Oh, and if that was not enough, the airline allocated well separated seats for all the members of our family. I'd think it would be a common sense that people who have been booked on the same ticket must be assigned consecutive seats. But apparently Air Canada does not have much common sense. NOT flying with them ever again!"
