Minneapolis is just a great airport. Signs to the rental area were a little unclear but that was not a huge deal as the tram only goes to one stop so you can’t get too misplaced.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaMSP-YULMar 2025
Even with tight (< 1 hour) connection in Montreal, there was ample time to get through customs and to the next gate. Very smooth.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska AirlinesMSP-SEAMay 2025
MSP is an excellent airport. If possible, obtain some type of precheck clearance for initial airport screening.
KaylaFlew with Alaska AirlinesMSP-SEAApr 2025
Be prepared for possible long wait at security, make sure to check baggage policies and carry one allowances.

If possible travel for longer in case there are flight issues.

Bring a seat cushion? The seats aren’t very comfortable.

If you’re coming from an international destination to MSP airport, choose a layover that allows at least 90 minutes. You deplane, then you go through immigration first. After that, you pick up your bags from the carousel, then you stand in a long line to go through customs. After customs, you have to drop off your bags, then stand in line to go through security. All this before you see the terminal and gates to connecting flights. Many travelers missed their connecting flights because several flights from International destinations arrived at the same time at MSP airport, and there was only one line from the baggage pickup carousel area through security. Give yourself plenty of time; a layover with less than 60 minutes is risky.

We need more maps or layouts of the airport available and what's available when flying to the next airport or where terminals are located to maximize time when there are layovers.

For 7a flight, arrive early! Security lines were very long.
RoxanneFlew with American AirlinesMSP-DFWOct 2024
Get to airport early, as they only have two entrances into terminal!! Waiting line long. After checked by TSA, they were very slow moving people along though scanner. I hate going to MSP. It use to be a good airport, but sucks now!!

Get to the airport a little over 2 hours early if you have kids for a smooth experience

It was not clear to me that my Air Canada flight would be handled by United, so I had some uncertainty about check-in. A United employee helped me check in eventually. Check for code-sharing partners.

Check the fees and add them to the cost of the flight

use restroom prior to boarding, hallway very small

dont use american airlines if possible. if you have to make sure that your layover(if youre flying through) is at least 1.5 to 2 hours…

Denver air is great flight times and connections a little rough

Communication with delays. Failed to make a connection I ng flight in Chicago.

Excellent, from check Iin to arrival. I was apprehensive about flying a small plane between Ironwood and Chicago, but the flight and service was great. I noticed, after boarding , that my cell phone had little battery left. The flight attendant kindly lent me a charging device to keep me connected with my contact in Chicago upon landing. I will always remember that kindness.

Great snacks and friendly people for check in at Pierre SD!

The connecting flight came in 45 min late but everything else was great

Absolutely easy travels and no cost cutting by the airline.

Their snacks and hospitality was amazing. They offered full sized snacks. Im talking full sized water bottles, full sized snickers bars, gold fish, full sized canned sodas, what ever you wanted they took care of it for FREE. The crew was really nice and hospitable. I was honestly shocked

I truly love flying with Delta. They have always treated me with the upmost respect

Our flight attendant in FIRST CLASS was one of the worst I’ve ever had. She was not at all pleasant, nor particularly good at her service.

Everything went well and was good. Nothing exceptional, but no complaints either. Cheap seats are pretty comfortable.

Staff were friendly and happy. Delta could make sure passengers that don't have the app know of changes. Without Kayak I would not have known about the change of gate or the delay. Kayak was faster to notify me.

They ended up paying for the bag twice, but the counter wouldn't take my baggage receipt. Left it to me to resolve. Not sure how to resolve the issue.

The customer service before board was very rude and when I expressed my concerns about making the connecting flight she laughed and told me I bought the wrong ticket. I explained once it showed the flight was delayed it no longer let me change seats or anything. I was trying to upgrade to make sure I would get to the next gate on time.

Non stop on long haul is the way to go. Great experience

The aircraft interior is old and tired on this aircraft. The entertainment system never worked despite the crews attempt to reset the system.

The flight used a B767 with a very old interior from before 2014. The entertainment system did not work at all during the flight despite attempts to reset the system. It was like they flew this route just to be competitive.

Old plane and old configuration/seats but still comfortable for a morning flight
