They comped us our headphones because of the delay, a nice touch. This is my 3rd great customer service experience with JB in as many months (the other 2 involved waiving charges to change flights, once gor me when I was suddenly ill, and for my cousin, when a changed circumstance made her need to travel on a different day, alone with 4 kids). Between Kayak and JetBlue app I got very frequent updates on flight status, but gate staff also were there and informed us in person."

We paid $47 to check one carefully packed 50 lb bag on the way. Our return trip, they charged $65 for the base fee and only then chose to inform us that we would be required to pay an extra ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS - total of $165 one way! A because, since our departure, they had reduced the permissible weight to 40 lbs. ONE HUNDRED ADDITIONAL DOLLARS FOR LESS THAN TEN POUNDS WHEN WE WERE TOLD 50 LBS WAS THE LIMIT. I know their fares are cheap but my lord, their seats are tiny, they nickel and dime EVERYTHING, and they legit steal from you by changing the rules and price-gouging. Gross. I’ll pay more on the front end next time, because at those prices I could’ve flown a non-budget airline and been comfortable and had a damn complimentary water.

The airline put me in a hotel, which was fine (even though I had to pay a $200 security deposit that actually accidentally ended up being $400 and I didn't get back for 4 days). That next morning, I got a text saying my 6:15am flight was delayed by more than an hour, so I called Frontier and asked about my connector times. They told me I would have 10 minutes to disembark the plane and make it to the next gate and, if I did not, I would be stuck in the Denver airport for 12 hours. I asked if that was the case would they put me in a hotel.....they said no. I asked if I changed my flight to the next day would they put me in a hotel....they said no because it was my choice to change the flight (as if that is a choice). Thankfully, I know people in San Diego, so I stayed with them that night. Next morning I take an Uber at 4:30am (at the cost of $30+ dollars) to the airport only to find out that the flight was severely delayed again (no text notice this time from the airline). When I say severely, I mean my 6:15am flight was rescheduled to leave at 10:45am. That would, once again, put me missing my connector. I waited in the line with the 50 other passengers to talk to the desk agent for quite a long time. At first, the agent told me that I would have to wait until the next morning again. I then told him my plight and the events I had already been through. He found a route that would take me at 11:35am from San Diego to Denver then have a 2 hour layover, then fly to San Antonio, then finally get to Atlanta at 12:20am. So, that is me arriving at the airport at 5:00am Sunday morning and getting into Atlanta at 12:20am Monday morning.....over 16 hours with the time change. So, I had to take it. Frontiers way of making up for all of this nonsense? They gave me a $100 voucher to use towards future flights. Basically a worthless piece of paper I will never use."

Cons: "The cost of the carry on luggage was close to the same as the cost of the flight. I do not appreciate that level of surprise extra cost, as it was not highlighted at the time of purchase! When we decided to save $5 per piece of luggage and check our bags, the check in attendant threw our bags onto the conveyor belt haphazardly with little regard for what may have been in them. The seats on the plane did not recline and were very uncomfortable. I am very dissatisfied, and will avoid flying with Frontier Airlines in the future."

Cons: "Charging you for just about everything. Apparently paying for my airline ticket did not guarantee I'd have a seat on the plane, so I had to pay an additional sum of money for a seat. Wait, did you think you were finally done paying the airline? Of course not! Want to take anything with you on your trip? Pay for a checked bag. Thought you were clever and decided to just bring a carry on to avoid the charges? Think again! Costs more than checking a bag... All the while messages pop up pushing you to pay for even more random and unnecessary amenities."
Pros: "I chose Frontier because of their air fares. Seemed like a great deal at first. Then I realized we had to pay for seats and for luggage, checked or carry-on."
Cons: "Rude and ineffective check-in staff, especially in Phoenix. Seats are unmovable, uncomfortable and we had to pay for this!? Frontier makes Allegiant look good."

EVIL SPIRIT It was only a 3hr flight so we didn't care about the comfort or ameneties to save a few bucks. Got boarding passes 24 hrs in advance, then departure time changed no less than 6 times before we took off. Spirit "customer service?" didn't even know. Transport from our hotel got re-arranged several times and we ended up sitting in the airport for extra hours (with little ones). Minimal staff on baggage check created long lines. Rude boarding clerk said "next time, print your boarding passes" (tough from a hotel room). Very Rude flight attendant (a feeble old man named Pasqual) threatened during boarding to throw off anyone who didn't wear their mask properly "you'll have to find another way to Hartford, but it won't be on Spirit". And "don't try to eat a bag of chips for 6 hrs. That won't work here" That was a general announcement, not directed at anyone in partiucular. Several other snide remarks. It's fair that a discount airline cut some corners on the extras, but it doesn't cost anything for courteous staff. Our Frontier flight to Orlando was excellent but we picked Spirit for the retun trip for a better departure time, which didn't work out anyway. Next time it's Frontier round trip!

Tried another and was given a wrong carosel. The psssaengers found it on their own and called out to others. I always fly BDL to MCO and back. I travel alone or with children. Not much choices on the flights times etc."

When I paid for the bag a full day before I checked in, I was charged the full price with no other options available - in other words, THEY LIED. I emailed a question to their customer service address; it went unacknowledged and unanswered. The flight itself went OK, but the seats don't recline at all, there is very little knee or elbow room, and the padding is the worst I have experienced. If you are larger than average or have knee or back problems, expect to be in torment. They charge for EVERYTHING, even plain water. After paying full price for my checked bags, the savings for the flight over other carriers was simply not worth the discomfort."
