Cons: Planes are old and cramped. Our plane gave us the "personal entertainment option" which meant you had to use your own device since they are too cheap to upgrade the planes. However, this international flight only had american plugs so anyone without an adapter was SOL. I tried to watch the large screen at the front of my section but they showed the movie Lion that is in Hindi and therefore had subtitles and I couldn't read the words from 12 rows back. The boarded process is like a cattle call. DO NOT FLY UNITED!!! I thought I was flying Lufthansa but it was a bait and switch situation.

Pros: This flight from Munich to Charlotte was operated by Lufthansa. To my surprise (and a little help from a friend) I was upgraded to business class. does not get much better than that !!

Cons: I got 2 vegetarian meals on this flight. The first one was so mushy that it induced my gag reflex. I managed one bite and no more. The second meal had some ravioli that was much better but still was heated unevenly. But at that point I was so hungry that I ate it anyway. The boarding was chaotic because all economy rows boarded at the same time

Cons: Plane transfer and customs at Frankfort were the worst I have ever encountered. Had to go so far between the two gates that had the flight from Seattle not been 30 minutes early and the plane to Barcelona posted as 10 minutes later than originally stated, we would have missed the connecting flight.

I just had come off 20hrs of travel. Phone on mute. No e mail. Now they say will deliver this evening - but no time slot so another wasted vacation day waiting for them to get their act together. Why can't they call/text me with a 30 minute window.

Pros: The UAL 747 was not a spring chicken anymore, looking a bit tired and faded, but the flight was uneventful and safe. The usual crying babies (WHY do parents feel the need to bring infants on board when the babies are unhappy and have no idea what's going on?!?) and customers with pneumonia (or maybe SARS or Ebola???) that you'll find on most full aircraft. I survived the earsplitting crying and the contagious coughs unscathed, so I'm satisfied with the flight.

Cons: I had very bad emotions sickness from London to Dallas TX. After I got on the plane I asked one crew member if I have any chance to switch the seat to sit by the bathroom because I am very sick, but seems no one cares. They said there is nothing they can do and tell me to get back to my seat. The whole fight I was sick. It was a horrible no crews member were asked me how I felt. No crews member checked me if I were ok. I had fever and so sick. There were late. I never have any bad fight like this forever.

Cons: American Airlines has terrible customer service. We were unable to board our flight at the Philadelphia airport because when we arrived (almost 2 hours before our flight) the ticket counter was already closed for the evening. No one from American Airlines could help us. We were left stranded at the ticket counter until it reopened at 3:15 am. We are very disappointed and disgusted with the poor service we received from American Airlines. After hearing multiple horror stories from others, it is safe to say we will never fly that airline again.

Cons: From the begining the trip was plagued by delays. I was supposed to leave Monterey at 0600, we didnt leave until 0630. Then my Phoenix flight was delayed by two hours that caused me to shift flights in Charlotte because i would miss my connection. Lastly, they had to change a break on the plane leaving Charlotte so instead of getting home at 7 like i was supposed to, i got into Norfolk at 1139 pm.

On a flight such as this, at 8:12 am, something like a breakfast wrap would be more appropriate, especially considering the fare charged.

Cons: You better hope you don't have a short connection. Sacramento fails to allow you direct access between the A and B terminals. You have to leave and hunt for the other building through the parking garage with no guidance and then go back through security. Unacceptable!

Pros: I arrived at my destination at least! Good crew and decent food but that’s the least I can expect from an 8 hour flight.
Cons: Very old plane. Had the screens every 4-5 aisles. No control over the entertainment. Very uncomfortable seats, but so are almost every other airlines. The worst part about this flight was that I traveled with my girlfriend and when I went to check in, 24 hours before, there were only single seats left and there were so many open seats together that were considered “preferred” and had to pay $80 for just one “preferred” seat just so we can sit together on an 8 hour long flight. The seat didn’t even have any extra legroom or anything, it was a normal seat. American Airlines is just trying to squeeze money out of anything they can.

Cons: My seat did not work properly- there was a short in the mechanism, I believe- that required repeated attempts to get it to recline completely, which was ultimately unsuccessful. I was clearly having difficulty with the seat but didn't receive any assistance while FA chatted up a celebrity in the seat in front of me. Flight attendants seemed to provide very perfunctory service, not commensurate with first class. Very disappointing experience compared to others in the past. I don't need to spend half a zillion FF miles when I could just buy a coach seat.

Pros: Equipment was an A330. I was seated in Row 11 and had priority boarding. As a result, I had considerable leg room and not trouble finding overhead space. Seating in the back has several inches less "pitch" between seats. A330s provide a very smooth ride.
Cons: Food: Salad was good, you could taste the arugula. Chicken, once you scrape off the barbecue sauce, was decent. The rest of the lunch did not seem worth eating. The best option if you are hungry is to either eat in the terminal or bring something you do enjoy with you. The movie selection had nothing you likely have not seen already. Be aware that sometimes PHL moves slowly. We waited over 5 minutes for the plane door to open. Bags took about 40 minutes to come up. There were no lines at immigration. Connecting in less than 2 hours can be iffy.

Cons: ORD -> LAX We sat on the Tarmac for 45 mins without any communication. We ended up landing on time, but I was connecting to an international flight, so this naturally caused me and my companion a great deal of unnecessary stress. LAX -> ORD I arrived at the gate prior to the 10 minute before take off deadline and the gate attendant said I couldn't board and walked away. I sat and waited several minutes until a gate attendant returned where they proceeded to call stand by passengers. I was checked in and present, but not allowed to board. So I approached a different attendant, explained and he looked surprised that I wasn't boarded. He then without asking me any questions or checking with me typed on his computer and then handed me a new boarding pass for a new flight 1:25 later. I boarded that plane and sat for over an hour. The pilot had no updates for us other than the delay was a maintenance issue, saying repeatedly that he would check again in 15 mins. Finally after wasting more time we had to deplane and wait for a new one. Ultimately I was not allowed to board my original flight without explanation, which then caused me to have over 3:30 in delays. This is all after I had arrived from an international destination, which made the ordeal very miserable. This type of awful experience is a pattern with American Air - rarely are my flights on time and I've had more cancellations with American than any competitor airline. Cons: First trip with AerLingus. It was late by 40 minutes. When we finally boarded they made a comment we were right on time when we most definitely were not. Then on the flight the only beverage service was almost non-existent because the flight attendants rush by rather than actually wanting to give anyone a beverage. Several people including me had connecting flights yet no one bothered to help us get to them on time. I barely made it to mine but several people probably did not as we got there 5 minutes before their flights were to take off.

Cons: I decided to pay a little extra for preferred seating (exit row). However, I was stuck in the baby row. I would have been better off not paying extra and staying in my original seat. I have nothing against babies (the baby in my row was quiet), don't get me wrong! It's just that this should be pointed out at the time of selecting a seat and it was not clear on the AC website. Cons: I bought my ticket with Air Canadafrom Vancouver to Calgary then connected with Lufthansa from Calgary to London UK. Unknown to me I could not find the flight because it had been changed to an AC reference flight. With a very short time for the connection I did not know where to get my boarding pass as my flight with Lufthansa was nowhere referred to ! Not which gate to go . Why not put it in the ticket that Lufthansa and Air Canada work together and that both flights ref should show !! It would avoid a great deal of anxiety . Only offered 1 round if hot drinks over 9 hours ! Departure delayed by nearly 60 minutes

Seats were pretty comfortable with sufficient leg room (I am tall), but if you are a wide person (or next to one) it would have been pretty cramped. Neither of my flights (to Newfoundland) were full so we all had a bit of extra space. Food was adequate but could be improved with fruit instead of dessert.

Cons: Our flight was delayed from Cleveland and so was the plane going to London . We made it to the gate 15 minutes before boarding was complete . When we get to the gate they told us our seat is gone , someone else got it and we are booked to tomorrows flight and put in a hotel. Me and other 10 people was kicked off because they over soled the flight . Very frustrating and disappointing !!!!!!! Luckily the lady at costumer service was really helpful and put me and an other girl on a flight to Dublin the same night.

Food was the worse I have had on any flight. I would rather pay and have something edible. Pros: We flew to Toronto on the rebooked flight and we were treated very badly by the gate agent who simply told us: Go see customer service, you are not on this flight' without even an attempt to explain why we could not get on to the flight to London. The app didn't advise that the flight was boarding (unlike other apps such as BA). I missed my flight and they insisted on charging me more than what I paid for the entire ticket just to return home. I got back to London to find that my luggage didn't make the journey. Staff at Air Canada were unfriendly and unprofessional.

Pros: Staff were friendly
Cons: Seats were narrow and sitting in aisle seat you were constantly hit every time cabin crew took trolley up / down aisle. Woke up by cabin crew banging into me.

Pros: Everything was quick and efficient in boarding and replanting, the captains spoke to us to tell us what was going on. Food was good.
Cons: My tv screen was broken, meal service was pretty late and drinks were not served before, as a result the lights were only off in the flight for a very brief while.

Pros: Boarding was efficient, crew were attentive, food was excellent, the "pod" was comfortable and I did not use the entertainment
Cons: Would have liked more info as to how to work the gizmos - had to ask how to recline my seat and never did get to grips with the entertainment. The Fast Pass specificaly said it was for disembarkation at London and so I did not realise I could have used it to get through security for ongoing flight

Pros: The flight was smooth and not delayed
Cons: The food was horrible and flight attendants waited unnecessarily long (an hour or so) to pick up all the dishes afterwards. I couldn't understand a word the main flight attendant said in her instructions because of her strong accent.

Pros: The pilot kept us informed as to what the delay was.
Cons: That there was a delay of over an hour. The seats were not comfortable due to lack of space. Could not move around at all and the service cart barely fit in the aisle. Very uncomfortable ergonomic seating.

Pros: Aircraft was very comfortable and up to date
Cons: Both dinner and breakfast were so bad as to be a joke. Tasteless chicken on pasta with a miserable little salad for dinner. Breakfast far worse, the 'continental breakfast' being a slice of banana loaf or something similar in plastic film and a pathetically small yoghurt. Crew didn't even serve pour row coffee or tea, totally overlooked us. My next flight was with SAA to Johannesburg - infinitely better food and attitude. Not that I expect this eeview to make any imnpression on Air Canada. THey are beyond help and frankly I don't care as I won't fly with them again.

Pros: Comfortable, well maintained aircraft. Good entertainment. Friendly crew. Boarding process was well conceived. They separated seating zones into different queues, and turned back people who attempted to board out of order.
Cons: Breakfast was underwhelming for an international flight. Dinner was just average. The crew seemed to have trouble responding to things like...people using restrooms late during the descent, passengers making themselves a little too "at home" and thereby disturbing their neighbors, and repeated chimes due to an errant elbow on a call button...the little things. They are things you don't notice when a crew is highly attentive, as you find on Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, or Air New Zealand. The crew were friendly, but not quite in charge.

Pros: The flight itself was fine- comfortable with nice amenities and a professional staff.
Cons: My first flight was late then cancelled, then replaced by another. That one was late too and made me miss my connecting flight. I had to spend the night stuck in the Toronto airport with nowhere to safely sleep and my late arrival meant the entire first day of my long planned vacation was ruined. I was supposed to get to my destination around 10 in the morning, instead I arrived around one in the morning the next day. All I got from Air Canada for this trouble was a $10 meal voucher for airport restaurants that cost $25 and were closed during my stay.

Pros: The food.
Cons: The stewardesses don't smile.

Pros: Friendly crew very helpful. Not as loud as the last flight.
Cons: So many people crammed into a small space. Needed more leg room and shoulder room.

Pros: Good movie selection.
Cons: 3-4-3 economy seating in a 777 that was originally designed for 3-3-3 (2-5-2) makes for really cramped seating. This is in keeping with industry trends, but is regrettable. No brandy/cognac for alcohol selections.

Pros: Great food and they gave us blankets and even free wine with dinner! I was also able to watch to new movies!

Pros: They've replaced the ridiculous entertainment system with a much better one.
Cons: Unwise cost-saving efforts in the Vancouver Maple Leaf Lounge - obscure magazines only, croissants/pastries replaced with a loaf of bread, etc.

Pros: Excellent and varied entertainment, very responsive crew
Cons: Boarding in Toronto was late, chaotic, poorly managed. Food was meagre, tiny servings of bland food for dinner, a slice of banana bread for breakfast. Hard to believe they couldn't do better.

Pros: Very pleased, the plane was very clean and new, entertainment options were great. The crew was fantastic.
Cons: The food wasn't great. I had the pancakes and then a chicken sandwich, both of which were very average.

Pros: Entertainment choices on this flight/with this plane were endless, and you didn't have to pay extra for them like you do with Condor, for instance. The seats were relatively comfortable, in comparison to the way you are packed into some planes these days. Particularly liked the headrests that were adjustable side to side. It helped in this particular case the flight wasn't completely full, and so I had the seat next to me free.

Cons: Please, Toronto: if you're going to have two planes scheduled to depart at the same time, DON'T put them right next to each other. We boarded at the same time as an Air Canada Rouge flight to Dublin, and not only was it chaos trying to figure out which line you were in, but the staff working the London side of the desk weren't paging over the loudspeaker which group was next to board. It was a mess.

Cons: Because the flight was delayed, the car rental company let the car go to another customer. A substitute was provided after another 2 hour wait.

Pros: The flight was more pleasant than I had expected because there was plenty of leg/knee room for me.
Cons: No complaints.

Cons: We did not have dinner as we tried to get some sleep on this 6.5 hour overnight flight to London. The 767 was in a 2-3-2 configuration for economy plus and general economy. Thankfully they kept the temps cool to the point where we used our coats as additional blankets. I appreciated that the FA’s did not wake us for dinner and they closed my window shade at some point. They were 100% polite and helpful. That said, with the new Polaris Business Sears, UAL has eliminated the restrooms between Business and Economy. So it is a very long walk to the restrooms from Econ Plus and it appears that there are only 4 restrooms for about 120 passengers. Absurd. My family made do because we used the restrooms in the middle of the night when most people were sleeping but this would have been a nightmare after breakfast or with a small child. It appears that UAL has gone for profit over customer satisfaction.

Cons: The queues at immigration in San Francisco were disgracefully long. it took us 3 hrs to get to our luggage. Advice to US govt to employ more immigration officers. Airlines should report on this

Cons: You need to spell out that when you purchase a BASIC ECONOMY fair, you will be charged for luggage and cannot change your seat. This isn't all spelled out in big bold letters when you buy on Kayak and the carrier treats you bottom of the class.

Pros: Request for supply of earplugs was kindly met. Cabin crew were attentive and friendly. Food was some of the best I have ever eaten in Economy.
Cons: Check-in staff at EWR were abrupt to the point of rudeness. Did not feel valued as a customer.

Pros: The flight attendant in our section was amazing. She gave us tips for London and gave us some complimentary alcoholic drinks. She made the flight so much more enjoyable.
Cons: The seat comfort was just ok. Neither my husband or I was able to get much sleep. The seats in coach are very tight and we couldn't really get comfortable.

Cons: Movie selection wasn't very good, and the touch screens aren't sensitive enough, so I could feel the person behind me poking the screen really hard to make selections.

Pros: The crew were competent, friendly and helpful. The back of seat entertainment was very good, with a lot of new releases. When the flight was delayed the pilot did come around and speak to passengers, which I appreciated.
Cons: The flight was delayed and we were not given any information about what was going on.

Cons: laberithine process to get my boarding pass. Booked on Kayak with last minute on a Luthanasa flight operated by United. Basically had to call all three in order to get my boarding passes as the website didn’t work. Really confusing.

Pros: Captain and crew were brilliant, kept passengers informed throughout as to the delays, as a result all passengers were patient and understanding. Not much more could have been done to improve the experience as the snow and conditions at Dublin airport were out of their hands.

At least Delta has large touch screens so you can choose what you want to watch and watch it from the beginning. The flight was late and one of our bags did not make it on the flight. We were happy it was on the next flight.
