The first leg of the trip, flying from ft Lauderdale to atlanta was ok except for the pilot having to circle around bc he was too close to the airplane in front to land. This made us supposedly late to our connecting flight which by the way was not supposed to leave before 8:10. My husband and I arrived at the gate about 10 minutes before only to be told that the door was locked. Needless to say, we weren't the only ones. When we got up to the desk, the attendant was extremely rude. I was having a conversation with my husband about a dog that had just passed us . She immediately made her way into the conversation asking me what i was saying. I told her I was talking to my husband about the dog and under her breath said : " I'm sure you were." I then told her that i was more than sure about what I was talking about. We get booked on another flight and my seat was the only one without a working monitor. We asked the suitardess to see o If there was anything that could be done They tried to reset it to no avail. Since we didn't say anything else, it was forgotten about. My husband shared his screen with me so that I wasn't totally bored on the flight. Not the way I wanted to start off my birthday but I'm glad that nightmare is over Delta really needs to retrain their employees on customer service bc it leaves a lot to be desired!"

It was a ping pong nightmare and 2 times it was suggested i take a bus...after i spent the money on a plane ticket with no offer of compensation, food vouchers or hotel accommodation. Delta has to convince me to come back to them."

It lets those families and get on board and get setup so that they don't block aisle access for everyone else. American seems to board based on how expensive your ticket was. So, the aisles get blocked and boarding takes forever. 2) The cabin crew gave pretty apathetic service. When our baby threw up on us, they just told us to go clean ourselves up in the bathrooms. They gave us a can of soda water to help clean up, but that was about it. 3) When my wife asked if the bread was dairy free (for our baby with a dairy allergy), the staff's response was to turn to another staff member and ask them, "Do you want to go back and research that?" In the end they just told us they didn't have time to look it up."

I tried giving AA a chance, but compared to when I flew on WestJest two months prior for almost the exact same trip (I flew to San Francisco versus San Jose that time), WestJet was by far more superior in terms of customer service, boarding organization, and friendliness. First of all, what bugged me profusely was the lack of seat selection and the crazy pricing for certain seats. On WestJet, the emergency exit seats were available without any additional cost, yet AA was charging $66 USD to sit there. Furthermore, seats closer to Business class also carried a charge of $25 (or something like that) - ONLY because you get to board sooner. I would understand if there was extra legroom involved, but really, it's just a matter of sitting and getting off before anyone else. If anything, those seats should be given to passengers who have tight connecting flights and need to get off asap. even in those cases, you shouldn't be charging someone almost $30 just so they can make it to their next flight that YOUR company arranged within such a short time frame. But the most annoying thing about my trip with AA was the fact that I had to take out all of my belongings from my carry-on and carry them in my arms because there was no room left in the overhead compartments. Excuse me?? How is there not enough room? So I had to walk with my laptop, my iPad, my Beats headphones, my laptop and iPad charger, amongst other things, in my hands to the aircraft. Thank goodness I found a plastic bag, because otherwise I probably would have lost something expensive on that plane. Furthermore, as I walked to my seat, there was most definitely places that I could have stowed my carry-on luggage in the overhead compartments. You shouldn't let people put things like purses and bags of food in the overhead, when those can be stowed underneath the seats in front."

But I wouldn't want to be seating in them for more than 2 to 3 hours top specially on the window or worse a middle seat. The crew was attentive up to a point (just saw them boarding and when given a cracker and some water during the flight). I think American can do a better job providing comfortable seats or even a nicer meal during flights."

There was confusion about the seats as we boarded, which we did by zones, but still had aisle traffic which defeated the purpose. My connection was moved to another gate and they failed to announce it ( yes it was on the screen, but I don't travel that often and was lucky to notice it just as we were boarding... luckily just a few minutes walk away ). The plane offers no entertainment at all ( which is fine for me, but worth knowing... bring a dvd player or something for long trips )."

They were unorganized and they nickel and dime you to death. who makes you pay for your seat? Frontier. They emailed me five thousand emails about checking in after I checked in. They want to charge you three dollars for a soda. It is not customer service. Having a survey for customer happiness is stupid when they aren't working to make the customer happy. It has become evident that airlines do not care about their customers anymore. I mean if you are going to make us pay for everything then at least be polite. And on the return flight we had to sit for a half hour and wait while they moved another plane that was occupying out gate."

Cons: "Very uncomfortable plane; I was told I had to put my bag under the seat in front of me rather than in the overhead bin which was annoying mostly because there was no legroom to speak of as it was and the tray tables were ridiculously small. The employee who checked me in told me I had to pay $15 extra for a window seat, but after everyone was on board, there were 20 empty seats. It would've been nice to offer those seats to other people on the flight so everyone could spread out a bit."

Cons: "I didn't like that there is very, very little leg space on the plane. I didn't like that Frontier sells itself as cheaper than other airlines, but then charges $25-35 to bring a bag on the flight. Virtually every person that flies has a bag, so the "cheaper" flight is actually just as expensive as any other airline. Also, on a 4.5 hour flight from NYC to Colorado there were zero complimentary drinks or snacks. This, again, adds to the price and makes it the same price if not more than flying with a possibly more desirable airline. As we were boarding the flight, Zone 1, 2, 3..etc were called but they never called Zone 4, just assumed everyone would get up. The woman directing the boarding process just walked away and never came back to welcome those passengers as well. This was the first time and certainly the last time I will fly with Frontier. Unfortunately, selling yourself as a more affordable option should come with reasons to keep your new customers, not give them countless reasons to pay a little extra to fly with someone else. The business model here feels a little scammy, as a consumer. I assume you will be able to keep customers for a while through selling yourself as the more affordable option, but people are smart and will catch on to the fact that is a bit deceiving."

They took everyone off the plane and we had to wait 2 hours for the reserves to show up. Everyone that had connecting flights missed their flights, and it all boiled down to scheduling errors, where frontier scheduled too many hours for their pilots. Should've been corrected long before the flight."

The rude lady directed me out of line to use the kiosk again instead checking me in, so I couldn't miss my flight. You could obviously tell it was my first time. So I missed my FIRST flight for my 30th birthday. Their only rebuttal to my dilemma was "you should have show up 2 hours early". A horrible experience I will never forget. The human that don't display common courtesy for his or her fellow man should be replaced by robots. I would gladly pay double for my next flight than to EVER use Spirit again."

Cons: "All in all, we were delayed about 45 minutes, but it's how it happened that was so frustrating: There was an inexplicable pause in boarding, which was obviously a delay that was never communicated on the airport terminal displays. Then after we boarded, we were informed that the bathrooms weren't working and anyone who needed to go would need to get off and then we could leave when they were back - another delay. Then we were told the bathrooms would work we took off, so some people went back to their seats. Then the story changed and the bathrooms were not going to work and be locked for the whole flight, so a bunch of people had to get back up to deboard the plane. Keep in mind, this was a late evening flight to Orlando, so plenty of tired kids with small bladders aboard."

Definitely never booking a flight through Spirit Air again and will be filing a complaint."

I also cant believe I had to pay so much extra money for my luggage. I will deffinitely not fly spirit again. With all of their extra charges and the tiny crammed seats, they are a significantly lower bargain than pretty much any other airline."

All of the hidden costs were the most mentioned along with frequent flight delays. Never fly Spirit with a connection! But it all trickles down. Because their luggage size and weight standards are less than the industry standards [Scam] and the attending charges check in is at a snails pace. Took us 30 minutes to check in with no line because one person was unpacking their bag to get under weight charge. Also since they are dealing with irritable and angry customers all day long the employees attitudes are terrible. The most common remark I heard, and I concur, was I will never fly this airline again. This is the part that leads to my confusion of the overall business model. At some point you run out of first time customers."
